Being a demon prince ain't all it's cracked up to be.
Caught between the human world and the demon one, Tiny, part-time bouncer at Moonlight & Magic, lives by his own rules. Mainly these rules revolve around keeping his head down and making sure none of his kind find out where he is… because Tiny's on the demons' most wanted list.
Not because he's done anything, but because of who he is. Prince Seren Di Lakai Telosa to be exact, heir apparent to the Demon throne. And a hunted man. If his father's men find him, he'll be dragged back to court to die of boredom. For the last three hundred years they've been grooming him to take over from dear old daddy. The only trouble is the stubborn old git could last at least another millennium.
So what's a Demon Prince to do? Get a job at Moonlight & Magic, of course, and keep his head down. Unfortunately Tiny has never been good at avoiding trouble, and when the delicate looking bounty hunter vampiress Cassia storms into his life, he finds himself tempted to break more than his personal rules...
Demonkind and the undead don't mix well, or rather, they mix too well, with explosive results.
Deception and Desire is a delightfully wicked story that takes place in a world where supernatural creatures of all kind exist–which means it rocked my socks! I loved the dark and gritty atmosphere, as well as the elements of magic. There is something old, something borrowed, but something entirely new. And that is always welcome, especially in the paranormal genre.
Tiny is super-duper sexy as the demon Prince that has fled hell. He doesn’t want the responsibility of the throne, having chosen instead to live among mortals. Warm-blooded doesn’t even come close to the heat he exudes, and you’ll keep coming back for more even as your fingertips blister. Fittingly, it is a vampire with a hard-as-nails attitude that tweaks his interest. Cassia isn’t some docile or sweet maiden that needs to be saved. She’s a bounty hunter that has been around and knows the score. But one night of sizzling sex isn’t the future that awaits the demon Prince and the beautiful vampire. When Tiny and Cassia discover they are destined to be together, they’ll have to face a demon King that would see her dead for the offense.
This is a story you’ll enjoy in one sitting, and you’ll have a helluva good time in the process! This is the first in the Moonlight and Magic series I’ve read, but it certainly won’t be the last. Mina Carter has an incredible imagination, and I can’t to see what else she has in store. Be sure to put Deception and Desire on your TBR list.
