Past inequities are hard to forget...and harder still to forgive. After fifteen years, high school classmates Madison Carey and Terence Kane are forced to work together to stop a madman whose sole purpose is to seek revenge...with her life as the prize.

Can the past change? Can someone you once hated become your closest ally? Anything’s possible when you’re Resisting Kane.

Stephanie Adkins writes an interesting take on the man from the past story. Kane isn’t a run-of-the-mil sexy stud from Madison’s past; he’s a cop and a darned good one. Although the details of the setting are a bit murky, you still can’t walk away from this story.

As a hero, I like Kane. He stands strong when needed and stays out of the way, but never falters when he’s in protection mode. Plus, he’s darned sexy. You want to run your hands all over him from page one.

Madison made an interesting heroine. At times, she comes across as needy and selfish. Other times, you feel her pain. Although I didn’t like her at first, I came to like her as she grew through the story. I enjoy reading a story where the characters aren’t afraid to deal with the past and face the future—this is one of those novellas.

And there is enough red-hot sex in this story to keep you warm for a couple of nights. If you like ménages, with a twist of guy on guy and a heavy dose romance, then you need to read this story.

Resisting Kane is a novella you can’t miss. I give this story 4 cherries.
