Everyone has secret desires, especially werewolf, Leyland Summers. He dreams of two sexy mates to bring all of his fantasies to life. When he encounters a sexy cowboy who wants to take him for a wild ride, what does he say? Hell yes!

Coming to ranch country for a picture shoot, Leyland was shocked to find not one, but two mates. Being a tri-omega, he had always known that he would have two mates. He just never expected to find them in the same place. Or to find out that they had been lovers for years.

Having two mates is no big deal for Leyland. He grew up with two fathers. But having two mates that were already in love is something all together different. How is he supposed to share Lucas with Jake...or Jake with Lucas? And where does that leave him?

In this wonderful and touching story, tri-omega werewolf Leyland Summers is destined to have two mates and secretly longs for the two perfect men who will bring his fantasies to life. When his car breaks down he feels an instant attraction to the cowboy that comes to his rescue, Alpha wolf Jake McAlester. It is an attraction that Jake seems to share as things quickly heat up between the two. The only problem is that Jake already has a lover in Beta wolf, Lucas. Imagine the three men’s surprise when they realize that they are all destined to be with each other as mates. Having two mates isn’t a problem for Leyland as he knew that was his destiny, however, he didn’t expect to find two mates that were already in love with one another. He worries about his role in this complicated relationship as his mates already share a bond. Jake and Lucas are surprised to learn of Leyland’s status as a tri-omega and their role in this threesome as they never thought to share their mate once they found him. The three men have a lot to learn as their relationships change and the sexual tension escalates between the three.

I truly enjoyed every minute of this story and I believe that the characters are what made it a great read for me. Leyland, Jake, and Lucas are fascinating individuals each with their own strengths and weaknesses who come together to form an interesting threesome. Although at times I felt Leyland was a bit immature and annoying, he was a remarkable character and a nice complement to his two partners. Jake, the Alpha male, was a strong character who has some jealousy issues to deal with as he didn’t expect to share his mate…even if it is with his best friend and lover. And I really felt for Lucas, Jake’s Beta wolf and lover at the beginning of the story as he faced losing his best friend and lover to someone else. He had a lot to deal with so it was interesting to see him realize that Leyland was meant for him as well. Both Jake and Lucas will do anything to keep Leyland and their concern and caring comes across very well. And as I said things quickly heat up for Leyland and his lovers when it comes to the sexual side of their relationship…almost too quickly. The three share a touching and highly sensual relationship and their love scenes definitely heat this story up from the very beginning.

The ending of this story and the threesome’s relationship really touched me as I felt for the men. I don’t wish to spoil anything, but let’s just say that the three have a lot to learn throughout the story about their bond and what it means for them both mentally and physically. The whole concept of a tri-omega and the relationship between the three men fascinated me as we learned more about what it means.

What also fascinated me was the pack of werewolves living on the ranch. Jake is the Alpha of a small pack of werewolves who were ostracized from their original pack for being gay. You can’t help but feel for these men and I longed to know more about the various members of the pack. With a few secondary characters who look like they will get stories of their own, this was a great start to what promises to be an interesting series.

Garrett is in the closet. He hasn't acted upon his cravings for other men and since he hasn't connected intimately with a man, he's not gay, but things are about to change.

Garrett holds tight to a bitter-sweet memory of Darcy, his dead high school sweetheart. Her ghost leads him home for the holidays and straight into the arms of his best friends.

Sam and Logan are committed life partners. Garrett is familiar with their sexual preferences. He wants to explore a relationship with them but he's hesitant to make the first move. Admittedly, he's attracted to both men, and truly believes Darcy's ghost wants him to find comfort in their arms.

When Garrett returns home for the holidays, he's eager to revisit a past he once left behind. Sam and Logan offer him their couch but their southern hospitality extends far beyond what he ever imagined. Once Garrett discovers what goes on under their mistletoe, he is hooked and the best he can hope for is an open invitation to stay.

Haunted by a voyeuristic ghost, Garrett is firmly in the closet and unwilling to admit that he could be gay. He is nervous about a relationship with men and reluctant to give it a try despite his budding attraction to his best friends. Committed partners Sam and Logan have been in love with and have wanted Garrett forever. They long to make him a part of their relationship. When the ghost of Darcy leads Garrett home and gives her approval of the plan, things begin to change.

This is an intriguing story featuring three fascinating men with distinct personalities. Garrett is an especially intriguing character. Only after the death of his high school sweetheart, Darcy, did he begin to explore his sexuality. He never quite felt comfortable with sex with Darcy, but never expected to find a relationship with his friends, Sam and Logan. Sam and Logan are determined to make Garrett see the possibilities that exist between them all, but face complications in the form of Darcy’s ghost and Garrett’s doubts. It was interesting watching the three men deal with Garrett’s hesitancy and doubts as well as his memories of his lost love.

I have to admit that at first I felt a little lost, as though I was starting the story in the middle, but soon I became intrigued by the characters and the plot. And while the ghost aspect was interesting, it felt a bit odd in this story. I would often forget about the presence of Darcy’s ghost in scenes until a reference or comment was made. I didn’t really feel that she was necessary to the story as knowing of Garrett’s internal battles with his memories and his sexuality would have been enough.

But, overall, this was an interesting read with intriguing characters and I enjoyed the relationships of the story.

Jakeb is an Imperial were-panther who wants an heir. Problem is, he doesn’t want a mate. When he rescues Kaitlyn from an abusive trader, he proposes a deal: freedom for her, an heir for him. He’s startled to find he can’t keep his hands or his heart away from his new acquisition, but she has secrets of her own and they discover power isn’t all about strength as they are drawn into the age-old mating dance.

Having seen the changes in his fellow Imperial were-panthers once they have found mates, Jakeb knows he doesn’t want a mate. However, he does long for an heir. When he sees Kaitlyn with an abusive slave trader, he can’t help but rescue her. Having been sold into slavery by her cousin, Kaitlyn longs for her freedom. Soon the two strike a bargain that will give them both what they want. But Jakeb finds that Kaitlyn touches him in a way that no other has. But Kaitlyn is keeping some secrets that once revealed they could change everything.

This was a really quick read that I found quite enjoyable. I was intrigued by the chemistry between Jakeb and Kaitlyn and the internal struggle they face as they both try to keep their relationship from becoming more than they had planned on. As they face threats, they come together and learn more about one another which strengthens their bond. The characters of this story really help to make it strong and I would have loved to have seen more of them and their relationship. An all-around good read, if too short for this reader.

With the arrival of Samhain drawing near, will Cassie resist Dylan’s persistent advances or can he possibly be the man of her Enchanted Dreams?

Wiccan Cassandra Ballard has been waiting for her soul mate and according to the Runes, she will know him when she meets him. Lately, though, she has been distracted by a dream lover who seduces her in her sleep with sensual caresses and some very hot and intense dreams. Cassandra can’t help but notice that her dream lover resembles Dylan McCabe, a local handyman who Cassandra finds herself very attracted to. Despite her attraction Cassandra doubts that he could be her soul mate because she is sure she would know it if he was. But when Dylan begins to return her interest, Cassandra finds his sexual advances hard to resist.

Ms. Martinez has written a very sensual and spicy story with scorching hot dream sequences. These intense dreams add to the mystery and eroticism surrounding Cassandra and her dream lover. As more was unveiled in the story, I found myself enjoying each and every moment. I really enjoyed the flirtation and relationship between Dylan and Cassandra and would have loved to have known more about them both. This is definitely a hot read!

Lainie Shaw, travel writer, workaholic, has no time for men. Even if she did, no man could match up to the one in her imagination. A man who makes her blood heat, her body weep and her heart clench with love. Instead, she is almost content drooling over sexy paintings of highland warriors while working in Inverness, Scotland. An unexpected purchase in the way of an antique box delivers the man of her dreams right at Lainie's feet. Her wildest fantasies are realized when the highlander shows her up close and personal what he doesn't wear under his kilt. Not only do they click physically, but emotionally, Lainie finds herself falling hard and fast for this sensual, sweep her off her feet, man from the past.

Having given up on finding the man of her dreams, travel writer Lainie Shaw is on a trip in Scotland when she is quiet taken with a handsome man in a painting. She soon purchases a box carved over 400 years ago from a mysterious old woman who gives her a cryptic message about the contents. Imagine her surprise when the contents--an antique brooch--bring Donell MacDuff, the man from the painting, to her. Both believe they are dreaming and are in for a surprise as they realize that Donell has actually traveled from the past. As Donell tries to adjust to life in the modern world, the two grow closer and share a wonderful passion, but worry about how those in the past are getting on without him.

This was a wonderful story that I enjoyed immensely. I really liked Lainie and Donell and loved how their relationship developed as they shared a great chemistry and bond. The time travel aspect of the story was fun and really added to this touching romance. I felt this story had great potential for a full-length story and I wish it had been longer. I do feel that some aspects were a bit glossed over because of the length and I would have loved to have seen glimpses of Donell in the past, but despite this, it was a great story. Warrior in a Box was a pleasant escape and I look forward to the next in this series.

Sarafina didn't want a serious relationship after catching her fiance in bed with another woman. Ladies Night at an exclusive Parisian nightclub provided just the distraction she needed, where her every fantasy is catered to. She comes home to find her apartment ransacked and someone wants her dead. Caught up in a dangerous game of life and death, she needs her two new lovers for more than protection, but could she submit to two men?

A broken relationship with her cheating fiancée leads to a murder plot and threats for Sarafina in this quick read. After ending her relationship, Sarafina’s friend convinces her to get a makeover and go to Ladies Night at an exclusive Parisian nightclub. There Sarafina is intrigued by the strippers and the desire she feels. She soon finds herself caught up in an attraction with two handsome men even as someone threatens her life.

For a short story, this one definitely packs a punch as things escalate between the characters. Each character is unique and I was intrigued by how they came to be together. Sarafina is unaccustomed to the feelings of desire that Eric and Jean-Claude stir in her and wonders how she can be with two men. Both men help her to get over the disappointment of her last relationship and protect her from the threats she face.

Speaking of the threats, the suspense of the plot was also fascinating and I enjoyed watching things play out throughout the story. I enjoyed the glimpse at the culprit’s point of view that we got as it helped add to the intrigue of the story.

However, I would have loved to know a bit more about the lead characters, Sarafina, Eric, and Jean-Claude, and their backgrounds. I also would have loved to seen more of their relationship beyond what we get to see in this short story. But despite this, it was a really good read.

Trag and Tychar are brothers sold into slavery when their planet was destroyed. Their race carries a feline gene, giving them sinuous beauty and extraordinary sexual powers. Tychar's female conquests are legendary, but they never meant much to him, and Trag just laughs at his playboy brother. Living on Darconia, a planet of friendly but unattractive lizards, neither has been with a woman in many years. When the queen hires Kyra Aramis, a human from Earth, to teach piano to her children, Trag and Tychar agree to share the female and set out to win her over...

But suddenly Tychar becomes possessive - Kyra is unlike any woman he's ever known. But he's sure he's ruined any chance of her trusting him with her heart...

Rogue is amazing romance adventure that takes a reader on a fascinating journey that explores the senses. Ms. Brooks has the astounding talent of world building for each and every book of this series and so far the results are incredible.

This story is told in first person POV, following the courageous Kyra as she ventures off world for the first time on a life changing mission: to teach piano. Because this is told in Kyra’s words, I learned the same time as she did about the new world she ends up on and the strange inhabitants of Darconia. Well, they think she’s strange too because she’s totally different from them. You see, they are lizards but as the story goes along you start seeing them the way Kyra does – as people. I forgot that they were lizards after awhile because their emotions and feelings were not unlike my own. Ms. Brooks has Kyra embracing her new students and in doing so discovers hidden depths and talents thought to be impossible. The heroine is a catalyst that shakes up the status quo and the excitement left me turning pages at a fast clip.

The brothers Trag and Tychar are exceptional men who have been slaves for a long long time and have become resigned to their fate. They even have a sense of humor about it all. They are a major source of steamy possibilities and for a bit I wasn’t’ sure which brother was going to get his HEA. I enjoyed their passion and their talents in the bedroom and out. Both Trag and Tychar are strong characters with the ability to be gentle and earnest with Kyra. At one part, one of them broke my heart.

There is a vast array of secondary characters that enhance the story. Zealon is one of Kyra’s students and plays a sweet and surprising role. In fact, Ms. Brooks tackles alien politics, prejudice, and unconventional sex with a deft hand. Every twist and turn pulled me deeper into the story and I was filled with hope that all would be resolved in a way that Kyra’s romance would not be the only ‘happily ever after’.

As I’ve come to expect with Ms. Brooks’ talent, her sense of humor and sense of the silly is alive and well in Rogue. She had me giggling when it was revealed that a fast food chain in space is just as addictive as it is here on Earth. I challenge anyone who reads this story to keep a straight face about it. There’s even a pratfall moment that is not only critical but hysterically funny and I expect the cause will leave you snickering as it did me. That mental image was pure genius.

Rogue is a story chock full of witty and fast moving dialogue, unique and diverse characters, hot sex (one during which your heart strings are tugged) and alien politics sure to please the sci-fi fan inside the reader. I think you will laugh, fall in love with an alien or two, and be truly agog at the richness Ms. Brooks brings to her worlds as two people find their HEA in the most unexpected of places.

I am Sayana, high-caste Otha, and I was born to fuck.

Sayana can have any man she wants -- and he’ll pay for the privilege. As a Nil Rajan courtesan of great renown, she’s in the rare position of choosing which clients she’ll allow to share her bed.

Only two men have ever been invited for free. One is her friend and assistant, a quiet, watchful Antillan who’s deadly with a weapon and highly skilled in bed. His name is Janus Valdec, and he’s the one person Sayana truly trusts. The other is Captain Rider, a pirate with eyes like space trash who touched more than just her body in a chance encounter three years ago.

Rider figured out her most closely-held secret, and she’s been on the run from him ever since. When an attack on her ship leaves Sayana vulnerable, she’s forced to choose which of these two men she can trust -- not just with her heart, but with her life.

Cat Marsters’ Spaceport: Courtesan begins with a delicious premise, fans out into a properly dramatic and over-the-top space opera, but then finishes in strange and bewildering territory. The concept of the tale is strong—an expensive whore in a seedy spaceport is more than what she seems, and has much to hide—and provides a perfect basis for an erotic novella. The sex is plentiful and ranges from quick and dirty to sensuous and beautiful. Sayana’s story is also populated with all the character staples of high adventure: she has a loyal sidekick, capable and well-placed friends, and there’s a even good-hearted rogue in her past who’s come looking for her.

So, with all this going for it, it seems a shame that the early wit and drama of the story is abandoned in the final act. This is supposed to be a romance. The love story should not interrupt, but flow seamlessly into, the promise of the initial storytelling. The main romance has a very promising start, but the author mishandles the love triangle she seems intent on setting up. The seeds are all there: Janus’s ambiguous friendship, Rider’s luminous sexuality and courtly roguishness, and Sayana’s complicated past. This is a classic formula for romantic space opera, and not one that should be squandered. Not for a moment am I suggesting that there’s no room for originality here, but the author ultimately robs the situation of its emotion and it takes the power out of the resolution.

But that’s the bad news. The good news is that Courtesan still succeeds at being charming, funny, and really, really sexy. Sayana genuinely enjoys what she does, and her wholehearted commitment to sex is refreshing and inspiring. Until very near the ending, which is something of a jumble, this book is not only sex-positive, but prostitution-positive as well. Sayana’s trade is seen as legitimate, and many of the other characters are able to save themselves with it, although the potential dangers of prostitution are not ignored. Overall, though it is a mystery as to why she allowed her sexy space opera to fall apart in the third act, Marsters’ contribution to the Spaceport series is a worthy one.

Breaking up with a boyfriend can be a blessing in disguise -- so can crazy relatives, though Hannah Blue doesn’t think so after she makes an ill-advised bet with Aunt Kate, a bawdy old hippie and self-styled witch. A little too much wine made Hannah cocky enough to think she could get laid by November 1st. Problem. Hannah’s picky about men. So Kate decides to give her niece a little behind-the-scenes help!

Horny and glum, Hannah decides to boost her spirits by enjoying Trick-or-Treat night. A pleasant, innocent diversion until a man wearing a vampire cape and tiny red briefs comes flying out the door… and proves the most delectable piece of candy -- and the best way to win a bet -- Hannah could ever have imagined.

Reading Boolicious is a fun way to spend anytime, not just on Halloween because the story is fun, romantic and filled with hot passion which is perfect when you want all the best a short story can offer.

The mood is set with Hannah’s Aunt Kate. Right away I was immersed in the sense of fun and possibilities that this secondary character creatively introduced. I had quite a few laugh-out-loud moments in the beginning and I had high hopes the good feelings generated would continue once the story got going. I credit Ms. Snow with not dropping the ball, so-to-speak.

Hannah’s character could easily have been written with only erotic sex as the focus and I was profoundly thrilled when the author has Hannah show a little moral fortitude – enough to cause extreme sensual tension and anticipation. The heroine has a great sense of humor, a tender and nurturing personality and a wild side just clamoring to get out. I think her inner-sex goddess was assisted by what Aunt Kate did but as I reader, I was never sure. Nothing seemed contrived but moved smoothly and with wonderful dialogue to spice up the scenes, the pages flipped at a fast clip.

I don’t think there is a deep conflict in this story. Instead I believe it’s a healing that takes place during a beautiful and daring reaching out between two people. The humor and adventurous spirit between Hannah and the hero generated feel good vibes sure to please.

The hero cracked me up. If a guy wants to make a memorable entrance into the path of his future love, then going as Zacula is a winner. I had so much fun with that scene. Perceptions and misconceptions cause some wonderful by-plays and character growth. I liked everything about the hero, especially his ability to role play – very hot and romantic.

Boolicious is a quirky fun story with a delightful hero and heroine, hot passion and sweet moments tempered with saucy wit that is sure to satisfy a reader who likes a character driven story.

He never believed love was unconditional. She never expected the ties that bind would be found at the end of a flogger …

Arranging Love, the final novella in the Tilling Passions series, finds florist, Meghan Tilling, questioning the true impetus for her fiancé’s frequent business seminars and sudden interest in bondage. Could her sisters be right in claiming Peter’s out-of-town trips have more to do with clandestine meetings than with work commitments? Should Meghan let go of decorum and allow herself the pleasures of deviant sex?

Peter Maddock loves his fiancée, but when an online Dominatrix awakens the darker side of his sexual fantasies, he can’t help but seek her out at a private BDSM party. When several accidents threaten Meghan’s life, Peter fears he’s opened their world to a stalker. Will he be able to protect his fiancée without revealing secrets that may threaten everything and everyone he’s come to love?

Can Peter and Meghan explore their innermost desires and discover the answers to her father’s illness … all without losing their lives?

Contains: Mild BDSM, bondage, floggers, sex toys.

Arranging Love is the third book of the Tilling sisters’ story. I have to say that this is a great stand alone book. You really do not need to have read the previous books to understand this one but I, for one, will be picking up the books I have missed if they are anything like this story.

Meghan Tilling seem to be a very trusting young woman. She runs her flower shop and only thinks good of everyone. Even when she senses her fiancé is not as attentive as he was, she blames herself. I could relate to Meghan and what she was feeling. When her sisters tried to tell her they thought Peter was cheating on her, Meghan did not believe them and sought out excuses for his behavior.

Peter Maddock is Meghan’s fiancé. He travels in his business and is an orphan. At first I felt sorry for him being all alone in the world but then I got mad that he would surf the Internet looking for someone to hook up with to “fill the chasm in his heart”. That’s why he has Meghan. Peter discovers that he likes BDSM and convinces Meghan to spice up their love life.

The story had me completely enthralled. I rooted for Meghan, booed Peter, and tried to figure out who was trying to kill Meghan. Add to that the sick Tilling patriarch, the Tilling mother who was always being consoled by the doctor and one Mistress Crystal who is stalking Peter. Oh, my.

Arranging Love is a beautifully orchestrated story. There are twists and turns that have you guessing from the first chapter. I know I will be reading more about this fascinating family.

Partners Jason Scholl and Perry Holloway own and manage the upscale restaurant, No Patio. Not only do they share passions in the kitchen, but also in bed. After a run-in with a nine-inch stainless steel dildo and a dominatrix, it’s Jason’s turn to try to find someone both men can enjoy. Nice girls don’t enjoy sex with two men, do they?

When her über-rich husband, Thomas divorces her, practicing witch Morgan T’Naile scrapes together the remnants of her pride and flees. Camped out at a local park, she stumbles over her best friend’s little brother, Jason Scholl. Jason’s not the wide-eyed boy she remembers but a full-grown sexy man with his own partner, Perry. She has no idea she was once the star of Jason’s adolescent fantasies. But Jason hasn’t forgotten and he intends to turn imagination into reality.

In this fun and fast-paced story, practicing witch Morgan T'Naile loses everything following a divorce from her husband and the rumors he spread about her. While living in a campground at a local park she unexpectedly runs across her best friend's little brother, Jason Scholl and his lover, Perry Holloway. After some unsuccessful encounters, Jason and Perry have been looking for someone to join them in bed. Jason can't believe his luck in running into his one-time teenage fantasy, Morgan, and is eager to turn his long-time fantasies into a reality as he invites her to join him and Perry.

Each of these characters had a distinct personality that complemented one another very well. Morgan is spirited, Perry is serious, and Jason is very playful. I really enjoyed their relationship and watching as things grew between them all as they got to know one another. Jason and Perry already have a strong and established relationship so it was interesting watching them add a third party to the mix. But the romance between all of them heats up the pages and things progress rather rapidly.

The author did a wonderful job of showing Morgan's hesitancy about getting involved with an already committed couple and how she didn't wish to come between the two of them. I enjoyed how both men put her at ease as a wonderful and supportive relationship develops between the three. The unique relationships in this story are very strong and well-written.

In addition to a relationship, Morgan finds more with the pair as Jason and Perry help her get back on her feet. Morgan's story is one of surviving the odds and hardships that life has thrown her way. She is a strong character despite all she has gone through and I was glad to see her find not just one, but two caring and understanding men.

At times the story felt a bit rushed and there were a few things that seemed a bit too coincidental, but despite this it was a very entertaining story. If you enjoy hot ménages with fun characters, then you should give this one a try.

Third book in the Accidental Mates Series.

Tiam is done with the Drelconians. She hopes to find acceptance among the humans at a small outpost on Orel-x Four. Expecting a peaceful life pretending to be human, she finds two plots against her people and a very vengeful and horny Ladon. When Ladon offers to help her find a cure for the strange illness that plagues her, his price is steep. He wants her in his bed. Can two dragon shape shifters find pleasure in each others' arms on a hostile planet with more than one species out to get them?

Tiam is hiding out on a planet far from home, far from her people, and far from her past. At least that is what she thinks until she finds out that one of her people also lives on the planet and things get turned upside down.

The third book in the Accidental Mates series Ladon does refer to many things that happened in the first and second books, but it is not at all detrimental to the story, given most of the references are explained in a way that makes the story easy to follow even for someone just coming into the saga without the benefit of reading the first books.

As with the other parts of the series, Brenda Steele does a great job of getting the reader to feel what is going on with the characters. Fiery erotic scenes placed through a compelling and fast paced story, Ladon is yet another great addition to the Accidental Mates series.

Dennison Scott is destined to succumb to his dark magick unless he finds and takes his empathic mate, a female born into the prophecy. But this earth witch has already forged a bond with his current lover, Jake that he has no intention of breaking. Curse or no curse.

When both Denn and Jake begin to fantasize about a dark-haired witch, the real trouble begins.

Raven is a witch and a bounty hunter willing to sell her power to the highest bidder, even the enemy. Until she tried to kill one of the Scott twins which left her on the brink of death. Now with her magick bound and captive to two men, she is more vulnerable than ever and she has to decide whether to trust in the impossible or fight for the life she thought she was destined for.

The Healing is the third book in the four book Pentacles of Magick series. Eliza Gayle has created a fantastic story of a family curse affecting four brothers.
In The Healing, I got to meet Dennison Scott. He is a witch, as are his brothers, and he uses his powers to help and heal others. Denn is a great man and it shows in his caring of others, risking his soul to the curse of dark magick, in order to help others in need.

Raven is also a witch. She has had a hard life, but it has only made her stronger. She is a witch-for-hire and has perfected her powers to be a hunter for those who pay her. Although her position shows her to be a bad person, the book and her story reveals that she is not. She is a victim and has done her best to overcome her past and move on.

Jake is Denn’s lover. He is not a witch, but he cares deeply for Denn and they have a life-long commitment. Jake is a strong, caring man who I enjoyed getting to know and he made a nice addition to the story.

The passion quickly develops between these three, scorching the pages and leaving me breathless. I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone looking for an erotic romance to fill their thoughts and their nights.

Friends, strangers, high risk situations bring couples together for highly charged sexual encounters in elevators. Enjoy stories by Karma Jones, Tambra Kendall, Blythe Phillips, and Jane Leopold Quinn sure to arouse your imagination.

Goin’ Down 2 is a fun anthology filled with a variety of stories with one thing in common…sexual encounters in elevators.

In the first story, “The Erotic Touch” by Tambra Kendall, Kimber Layne fantasizes about her best friend and business partner Chris Hart. Their flirtation takes an unexpected turn as Chris sets out to seduce Kimber because he shares her attraction. And when Chris and Kimber get trapped in an elevator on their way to a business meeting, Chris decides to help Kimber take her mind off her fear of dark spaces in a very erotic way.

I am a fan of the friends-to-lovers plot and really enjoyed this story, but at times I felt it was a little rushed, especially toward the end. Still, it features strong characters and an interesting love story that more than makes up for the rushed feeling.

“At Your Service” by Blythe Phillips is a little more action-packed as Amber Gray finds herself trapped inside the bank during a robbery after a late night working. Luckily she isn’t alone--security guard, Brian King, a man who has secretly lusted after Amber, is there with her. As they hide from the bank robbers in the service elevator, the two give into the passion that smolders between them.

This was an interesting story that even provided us with a brief POV of the bank robbers, although that felt a little out of place. The sex between Amber and Brian, while scorching, also felt a bit out of place as I found it hard to believe that they would have sex while armed robbers were in the bank, but it is an erotic romance story and everyone reacts differently in times of stress. I did enjoy the relationship between Amber and Brian and would have loved to have seen more beyond this brief glimpse we get when the robbery bring them together.

The next story, “Elevator Encounters: Double Trouble” by Karma Jones, is full of twists that will probably surprise most readers. I know I was surprised. This fast-paced story features John Savage, a condom salesman, who gets more than he bargained for when he travels to Gina Pharmaceuticals to make his pitch. Things take an interesting and steamy turn when Gina asks for a demonstration of the product. Shortly after this encounter, John finds himself back at work and stuck in an elevator having another steamy encounter with a stranger. John is in for a surprise in an ending that I didn’t see coming.

The story was filled with interesting twists, but I felt that the ending was a bit abrupt. And while the premise of the story definitely intrigued me, I would have loved to have seen more character development and perhaps a bit more of the involved parties as we don’t learn much about them. Despite this, the story showed promise and definitely kept my interest as I certainly looked forward to finding out what would happen next in this surprise-filled read.

“His, Hers, and His” by Jane Leopold Quinn is the final story in the anthology and perhaps my favorite. I loved everything about this story from the characters to the plotline.

Still reeling from a break-up, Gwen Bailey is surprised to find two handsome men looking for her newly-married boss. Brede Harker and Rory O’Brien are themselves surprised to learn that Gwen’s boss is married, because the three had plans to get together. Knowing that her boss met the pair on a site catering to women looking for “sugar daddies”, Gwen is not quite sure what to do when the pair invites her out to dinner with them instead. She decides to take a chance and soon the three find more than they were looking for as they grow more intimate.

We don’t really learn much about Brede and Rory other than the fact that Rory is Brede’s “apprentice” and they work together dating and pleasuring women, and I wish we did. I found their relationship with Gwen intriguing as things take an unexpected turn for the three. As for the elevator scene of this story, it is definitely a scorcher as well as a pivotal moment because it changes the dynamics of this budding relationship. I wish this had been a full-length story as I would have loved to have seen more of this delightful threesome.

Overall, Goin’ Down 2 features four very different and fun stories that come together to make an enjoyable read.

Interrupting a burglary, antiquities expert Rene Walker discovers sometimes you have to die to find true love. But a gorgeous male pledging his eternal devotion isn’t all that awaits her on the other side. To enjoy eternity, Rene will have to thwart an ancient enemy who has waited millennia to destroy her and come to terms with an inflexible custom of free love in an immortal society where men outnumber the women ten to one.

It goes to show that death can be just the beginning.

Altar of Anubis is an interesting story in that it contains a number of elements that kind of make it hard to classify. Eternal love, crossing to different planes of existence after death, and an internal struggle with the puritanistic view toward sex that much of our society holds are all present in this short story from Ann Vremont.

A good read with an amazing mix of character development and passion this story has the feel of a novel within the body of a short story. It is always a pleasure to read stories that though they are short they are not overly wordy and still tell the story and get an emotional response from the reader. I will definitely add Ann Vremont to my personal list of authors to watch for.
