Loose cannons make life interesting—until they blow up in your face.
Action! Book 4
For once, things are going well for Mark Antonius Richfield. His career is fulfilling. The love of his life, Steve Miller, and best friends Jack and Adam round out his personal life to the fullest. What could possibly go wrong?
Enter eighteen-year-old Alexander Lehman. A member of “Generation seX”—with a voracious appetite for older men.
At first Mark doesn’t notice anything unusual, but Steve sees instantly that the young man could be Mark’s clone. The reason? Mark has an illegitimate son, as sensual, gorgeous, and mischievous as himself. With the same penchant for causing trouble.
As Mark takes a crash course in parenthood, the newcomer’s roving eye lands on Steve, who finds himself lusting after a younger version of the hot hunk he fell in love with.
All Mark can see in this complicated, age-before-beauty contest, he’s the one in danger of coming out the loser…
Warning: This book contains an eighteen-year-old’s lust for older men, hot bouts of naughty sex between gorgeous adult men, and unbridled gay group sex sure to shock you or drive you wild.
This novel is chock full of hot, sexy men, ex-LAPD cops, gorgeous runway models and wayward, horny sons. It's a walking wet dream. There were plenty of men to keep track of: Steve, the ex-cop, Mark, the gorgeous and very rich model, Jack and Adam, two old college friends.
Their lives get complicated very fast when eighteen-year-old Alex shows up at Mark's doorstep in Bel Aire, claiming to be Mark's son from a one-night stand nineteen years ago. Since Alex is a dead ringer for hot supermodel Mark, no one questions his claim and soon Alex is living with his father, his father's lover Steve and coming on to every man in sight. Then he gets some serious hots for Steve and the sexual tension on the page mounts. His father and Steve know of his desires, but tell him to behave. So where is this going to go? What kinds of problems is Alex's desire going to cause? It doesn't help any that Steve is almost as attracted to Alex. This can only lead to trouble. And Jack, who was desperately in love with Mark in college, is dangerously attracted to this boy who looks identical to his long lost love.
I had a few minor quibbles with the easy way Alex was taken in to the family. I'm not sure if some eighteen-year-old showed up on my doorstep and called me Dad that I'd fall all over myself paying for an expensive university, promising to buy him expensive clothes and cars and spoiling him rotten...all without blinking an eye. But it was cute listening to their banter, and their attempts to rein in Alex's over-the-top sexuality. The humorous banter throughout the book, the occasional serious aside with homophobic relatives and, in some cases, the too easy conversion to acceptance by those same relatives puts this book firmly in the realm of a nice fantasy. The writing is fairly simple, the language plain and not overly imaginative. I really felt this story was just a basic, solid entertaining erotic story without a lot of depth or subtlety.
Steve, the ex-LAPD cop, is probably the least realistic of the four men. His gushing and declarations of undying love were a bit much at times, especially given that he was supposed to be super butch.
For some reason Mark, who seems to be an all-American boy, uses a lot of British slang–-bloody, blimey, etc. Apparently he has a British grandmother. I still found it jarring at times. I also didn't care for the way the author kept characterizing the two gay couple as male/female, as though if one of them was going to be the 'man' the other one apparently earns the label of 'wife'. I found this in bad taste. The assumption that there must be a man and woman in a gay relationship is a hetero idea and did not suit the tone of the rest of the book.
So while this isn't a deep book, if you're looking for a hot, simple romp with several hot men and some tasty ménage scenes, then this might be the book for you.
