Elle Grayson is a woman with a taste for bondage and handsome men who know how to wield a paddle. Using the name Ms. Scarlet, she attends a B&D party with the intention of finding a man to satisfy her dark, sensual nature for a one-night stand.
Remy “Blue” DeLaughter is a Cajun with a taste for the dangerous and an eye for sexy, curvaceous women. While attending his business partner’s party, he finds the woman of his bondage dreams, only to have her slip away in the night. He wants her for a lifetime. Finding her is the problem…
Cajun Blue is a sizzling hot erotic story guaranteed to make you melt. A submissive who's chosen to give up the lifestyle for her career just so happens to meet the Dom of her dreams the night of her final fairwell and hurrah. The result is sexy, thrilling, and when the heat kicks in, enough to make you break a sweat.
Elle, AKA Scarlet, has decided that being a submissive is too dangerous for her promising career as the recently appointed Vice-President of a million-dollar cosmetics company. However, before she fades into the vanilla lifestyle, there is one final party she has to attend. This will be her last foray into the BDSM scene, and she intends to make it a night to remember. When she arrives to the party, she immediately notices the sexy man without the burden of a mask, dressed in a faded pair of blue-jeans and a white T-shirt. His dominating presence calls to her, and though she knows she’s playing a dangerous game, she finds herself submitting to his will.
Blue isn’t sure what he’s searching for aside from a woman who is lush, beautiful, and submissive. When he rests eyes upon a luscious sub with dark hair and emerald colored eyes, he knows he’s a goner. Yet, as he falls for the beauty who reveals herself only as Scarlet, he realizes she is keeping a portion of herself detached and hidden away. Can he break through to the woman behind the mask? Can he convince her that he is her one and only master?
While I enjoyed Cajun Blue and was anxious to learn what eventually happens between Elle and Blue, I was disappointed by the quick and rather abrupt resolution that occurs. That isn’t to say that the sex and chemistry between Elle and Blue doesn’t positively sizzle when they are together, but rather it seemed as if there was some emotional connection missing that the reader is told occurs but they don’t experience firsthand. Aside from this, however, the story is fantastic. Dominique Adair is a wonderful writer who knows exactly how to kick up the heat and fuel sexual tension. The pace never relents, and you’ll soar through the pages as Elle and Blue gave in to their D/s tendencies while they open the door to more fulfilling possibilities.
Fans of the BDSM genre that enjoy their erotica hot will love Cajun Blue.
