He’s got the military command…
Army Special Forces Major Blayne Forbes has always desired Jemma Teagan, but knows she’s off limits for a casual relationship. The last thing he wants is involvement with a forever kind of woman.
Jemma’s desire for the diamond-in-the-rough soldier has never faded, and when he tumbles into her arms, the tough guy sends her heart rate into orbit. She doesn’t want to love a man destined for danger, until he challenges her with a display of hardware she can’t resist.
When Major Blayne Forbes returns unexpectedly from the middle-east, the first place he thinks to go is to the abode of his close friend and confidant, Graham Teagan. Who he finds is Graham’s super-sexy and irresistible sister, Jemma. She’s fueled his sexual fantasies for two-years, but as the sibling of a friend, she is the ultimate forbidden fruit. It’ll take some of her mothering, a snow storm, and an undeniable chemistry to bring them together – but will it be enough to capture the heart of a soldier?
Jemma has ached for Major Forbes for so long she can hardly stand it. He’s everything a man should be and then some. Although his looks draw her to him, it’s his substance, intelligence, and strength that she cannot resist. When she tries to take care of him after he arrives on her brothers doorstep, obviously ill and on edge, she doesn’t realize that the one thing she wants most is about to happen. When the snow melts and a new day begins, will they be able to create a future together? Or will it remain a night of great sex between close friends?
Major Pleasure is an absolutely sinful and heartfelt story that fans of erotic romance will swoon for. Denise A. Agnew has continued doing what she does best – creating a memorable story that is both sizzling hot and unforgettable, with just enough passion and desire to kick the tires and light the fires.
From the moment you meet Blayne and Jemma, you’ll recognize their need for something more in their personal lives. Obviously, the connection is there, but due to Blayne’s relationship with Jemma’s brother – as well as Jemma’s fear of alienating her family by becoming involved with “one of them” – it complicates things. I loved the slow build which allows you to get into the mind of the characters, ensuring there is no jump into sex to muddle the incredible chemistry, nor the complexities of their feelings. He wants her. She wants him. Yet due to fear, uncertainty, and doubt, they have kept their feelings tucked away, unwilling to ruin what exists between them even as they long for something deeper. This is the ultimate slow burn, and man-oh-man, does it positively sizzle.
This isn’t the first offering I’ve read by Ms. Agnew, so it goes without saying I won’t be the last. I love her writing style, her voice, and her ability to bring characters to life. Those looking for a solid romance that tugs at your heart, yet, heats up your blood, will love Major Pleasure. Be sure to put this fantastic story on your TBR list.
