Hunger drives the wolf. Hunger for food, for domination, for sexual satisfaction, and for revenge when one of their own is harmed. Rand not only satisfies his hunger with Hannah, his new mate, he also teaches her there’s no limit to the carnal pleasures they can enjoy. He is both frightened and enraged when Hannah is kidnapped by Rogan Mueller, an insane geneticist who wants the female shifter for his bizarre experiments. Now Rand hungers for revenge.

Derek, alpha of their pack, has been seeking his mate for a long time. Fate delivers Riesa, a psychic who can give him clues to Hannah’s whereabouts. With Riesa, Derek feeds his sexual appetite, strengthening his ability to lead his pack on a rescue mission.

Two very hot couples, one very dangerous situation and lust-filled fire that will either save them—or consume them.

Good: A hot wolf shifter finding and claiming his “little wolf” mate.

Better: Two hot wolf shifters each finding and claiming their true mates.

Best: Getting to read the sequel to smokin’ novellas Hot Moon Rising and Line of Sight.

In this third installment, Ms. Holt brought back alpha pack leader Derek and his second in command, Rand, who were both briefly introduced in Line of Sight. They have each been searching for their true mates in an effort to build and strengthen the pack. In an ironic twist of fate, Rand finds and loses his mate, Hannah, within a day of claiming her which brings in Derek’s mate, Riesa, who is vital to tracking down Hannah’s kidnappers.

The hotness factor rose several degrees when Ms. Holt introduced Riesa into the mix. The immediate chemistry between her and Derek was quite literally palpable within the pages of this short story. Ms. Holt does a terrific job of building the anticipation of when they would be able to act on their shared chemistry.

If you haven’t read Hot Moon Rising be sure to check it out as a free read at www.ellorascave.com. You can also pick up Line of Sight while you’re there and I bet after reading those two you won’t be able to resist finishing out this trilogy with Driven By Hunger. A hat trick worthy of 5 Cherries.
