Sold into a life of prostitution by her greedy uncle, innocent Gisella Trelain finds herself a prisoner in a dark and ominous dungeon. Chained to the wall is a muscular, naked man named Tristan who tells her he is under a curse. Every month he is doomed to lose his humanity and take on the characteristics of a ravening beast—a beast with needs too savage to be satisfied by any ordinary woman. In order to break the curse, Gisella must submit completely to the beast and offer herself freely to slake his fierce sexual desires. But the stakes are high in this fairytale come true and if Gisella isn’t able to open herself completely to Tristan’s lusts, she may lose her life as she attempts to tame the beast.

Anyone who enjoys fairy tales and the like will definitely enjoy this short story. Evangeline Anderson writes about a wondrous world full of villains, curses and, of course, love. I was pulled in to this world from the very first page.

Gisella Trelain has decided to forsake all and give herself to the goddess. Little does she know that her Uncle has sold her to pay off his debts to the owner of a brothel. She thinks she may have found a way out of her predicament but her answer may be more than she expected. When she is thrown into a dungeon and comes upon a man who is chained and cursed Gisella must decide what her future will be. Can she help Tristan break his curse or will she run like all the others before her?

Gisella may be a young woman but she is very smart and willing to do what she must to survive. I had to admire her determination. Her hero Tristan is an alpha male who has given up all hope of finding that one woman who will break his curse. He may turn into a beast but in his heart he is a warm and caring man. As he shows with his reluctance to have Gisella the only woman who has ever treated him with kindness to try and break the curse. I loved that he fought being a slave to his beast. The reader goes through all of Gisella’s emotions with her and hopes that she can break Tristan’s curse. Gisella finds her bravery and in turn may find her true love.

This romantic story shows the reader that if you have faith you may find your happy ever after in the last place you think. This short story was a good read and should not be missed.
