After years of playing the field, Hayden has finally found his soul mate. Problem is, the well-endowed Cassie thinks all dragons are trouble and she has no intention of letting Hayden anywhere near her. He's going to have to do some fast talking to convince her he's the dragon of her dreams.
In this continuation of the multi-author Dragon Kin series, Anne Kane has added her own personal spice to the world of the dragon shifters. This installment is the story of a man who falls in love with a woman then has to convince her that not all dragon shifters are evil like the man who had kidnapped her years before.
Cassie is a strong, wild woman who has been through a terrible ordeal that has turned her against dragons as a whole. Hayden is a dragon who, the moment he sees Cassie, knows that she is the soulmate he has been looking for all of his life. With a strong will and a tender hand he will try to convince her that he is the one for her and that all dragons are not bad. I found both characters compelling and enjoyed seeing their battle of wills, and Cassie's growth as she realized that her preconceived beliefs might be a little skewed.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Anne Kane has taken the world of the Dragon Kin series and has added yet another level of steaming passion, heart-touching compassion and genuine friendship that is truly a delight to read.
