Will this golden dragon-shifting lord win the game of love?

Lady Sabine knows that laughing golden eyes alone cannot keep her safe. Lord Berg has yet to prove himself worthy of her hand, failing every secret test she has given him. She issues one last challenge to the dragon shifter. If he succeeds, he will win her love. If he fails, she will walk away from him forever.

Lady Sabine is sure her lover has been seeing someone else. This is the common enough beginning to many romance stories. The difference is that this story has the added twist of dragon shifters and political intrigue. A combination I've not seen before, but will be very interested in again from this author.

Cynthia Sax has created a vivid world filled with endearing characters like Lady Sabine and her love Treu who must overcome the difficulties of war to be together. Not to mention characters that practically leap off the page and into your imagination. The dialogue between the characters is great. Sabine and Treu banter back and forth with a wit and charm that is truly amusing. I thoroughly enjoyed these two, and was glad to see their happy ending.

This was an engaging story that held my attention from page one. I am definitely adding Cynthia Sax to my list of must read authors, and would suggest you at least read this book to see if you feel the same way.
