The dark, the light…and one to merge them.

Nico and Dai have searched for years for the third member of their Sacred Triad. Their combined energy released in a sexual ritual will drag their reality back from the Encroaching Darkness, a mystical force that threatens their world.

Finally, Nico and Dai have found her.

But Twyla has been emotionally damaged by an event in her past and has lost her magick. It will take all of Nico and Dai’s deep love to help her overcome her fear and give her the sexual healing she desperately needs.

When is three the strongest of all? When it’s the Triad. What’s the Triad? You need to read Twilight to find out more.

This is my first foray into the work and worlds of Anya Bast. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I cracked the book, but I have to say it was intense. There was a whole world to understand and discover. I’m glad Ms. Bast took the time to ease me into Dai, Nico, and Twyla’s world. But with any short story, there were a lot of things I wanted to know more about. I wanted more details.

I liked the relationship between Nico and Dai and wanted more of their story. The love and devotion between them is overwhelming and beautiful. I almost wanted to see how they got together in more than a by-the-way manner. And the way they cared for Twyla was beautiful as well. To have the men so devoted and caring for her needs is something most women would kill for.

Twyla is a conundrum. She’s been through the wringer and lived to talk about it. I wanted to feel for her early on. Ms Bast writes her in a fashion that you feel her pain. But her coolness is almost off-putting. I can’t at all say I wanted her to get over it, but I had a hard time sympathizing for her petulance.

Still, the love scenes absolutely scorch with passion and love. I knew exactly where Dai and Nico stood on her feelings at any moment.

If you want a story that is a thrill-ride and sexy as all get out, then you need to read Twilight. I give it 4 cherries.
