Southern Texas is in the grips of a heat wave and DaniLee Hunter needs a distraction. The man she wants refuses to acknowlege she’s all grown up, but the sexy ranch hand Waco is more than willing for an erotic roll in the hay.

Everything in South Texas stings, bites,or prickles…including Cord Stiles. As foreman of the Iron H, he has enough to deal with—including his growing attraction for DaniLee. She’s wild and reckless—and impossible to ignore. It’s time she’s roped and branded…and he’s just the man to do it.

The stakes are high in a late-night poke-her game. Cord, Dani and Waco lay their cards on the table. Winner takes all.

Roped and Branded is about a woman taking what and who she wants, and she’s all too willing to face the ramifications because the ultimate prize is the man she loves.

Dani initially comes off, excuse the pun, looking like a hot-to-trot opportunistic little hussy. Nothing could be farther from the truth. She’s fed up. Dani is disgusted and frustrated because she’s not a little girl anymore but everyone seems to not see it. She’s a woman who knows her own mind and her heart and has faith in herself to recognize the real deal when it’s in front of her. She loves Cord. But she’s batting zero where he’s concerned. So what’s a woman to do? Exercise the powerful feminine gifts she’s been given and play dirty. And Ms. Waters sure knows how to write those scenes – the steam rises and pulses pound.

Cord is trying hard to be a good man. It’s his own internal conflict that the plot revolves around and keeps Dani off-kilter and unbalanced. He’s not immune to her but he has some preconceived ideas of what is proper. He also has a sexual bent that, although he claims he accepts it about himself, still causes some insecurity and worry. The things we fear the most have the most power because we refuse to face them. Until Dani pushed hard enough, Cord rationalized his beliefs making them insurmountable. Silly man.

Waco is the third pseudo main character. He acts like a match to Cord’s tinder when Dani sets her sights on Waco - a man who does see her as a sexual woman. He was written well in that his presence in the story moved the plot along at a fast clip. Once Cord figured out what Waco was to Dani, then all bets were off and the story gets volcanic pretty fast. There is a bit of external conflict that stirs the pot and brings out other facets of Cord’s and Dani’s personalities which provided action and gripped my interest, because it illustrated ranch life and the harshness of the land. And the fact that both Dani and Cord have strong feelings for the very thing they fought to protect, it provided depth for this reader.

Roped and Branded jumps right into the fast sexual current that Dani starts in motion from the first scene. If a reader is looking for an erotic cowboy romance with two prime male specimens and a woman who isn’t weak but daring and adventurous, then look no further. The main characters aren’t the only ones who find satisfaction at the end of the book. It’s worth reading.
