What happens when a nice, engaged woman finds out that her conservative, lawyer fiancĂ© is a member of the notorious Carnivore Club? She recreates herself and arrives at the club in full bondage attire, leather and lace from head to foot. And aware of desires she never knew she had. Dave is going to have to move fast if he wants to stay on Nancy’s radar.

Secrets can be fun. Secrets can be devastating. Some need to be told and others need kept quiet. In the case of Dave and Nancy's Story, a secret is the least of the problems.

I'm always up for a new series or even a new-to-me author. Confessions of the Carnivore Club and Kate Richards are new to me. Ms. Richards excelled in drawing the reader into the story. I really got into Nancy's head and got to see things through her eyes. I liked reading how she explored not only the club, but facets of herself she wasn't sure she possessed. The details written in this story are rich and made me feel like I was really there with Nancy.

I would've liked to have seen things through Dave's eyes, though. I get that this was an journey for Nancy, but I wanted to get his side of things - how did he feel? Why keep the club a secret? I just wanted more of him since he seemed so yummy in the descriptions. I also didn't see his need to keep the secret, but everyone has those things they don't really want to share, so the reader can identify with his reluctance.

Nancy is interesting in her own right. At times she came across as a tad horny, but after the series of events, it was expected. I laughed as she got the waxing. Not having the stamina or the threshold for pain to try it, it was hilarious to live vicariously through her. I liked how she grew through the story as well. Where at first she seemed naive, the transformation is nice to read about. I loved the person she became because she could show more of her chutzpah.

If you want a story that has a little spice, a little mystery and a lot of personal experience, then you need to read Dave and Nancy's Story. I give it three cherries.
