Book three in the Perfect Love Series
Two men united by a bond neither time nor trauma could break now seek to capture the love that beats within their hearts.
Clayton Phillips and Logan Callen found each other at the tender age of thirteen. The two foster brothers quickly became inseparable, relying on each other for support to move beyond their troubled pasts. However, one whispered confession changed the course of their lives. Now sixteen years later the two men are together again, but the reunion is far from sweet.
Logan, an Army Ranger veteran, is trying to heal from both the emotional and physical trauma he endured while deployed in Afghanistan. Clay, a Boston Police Detective, is determined to rebuild their once close bond. Both men have withheld a secret from each other. Both men are in love—with each other. Can they work together to overcome their pasts and build a future together, or is it too late?
A misunderstanding with teenage friend Clay Phillips drove Logan Callen to join the army and break off all communication for sixteen years. When Logan is wounded in Afghanistan and receives a medical discharge, Clay does not hesitate to bring him back to Boston to stay with him as Logan struggles to recover from his injuries. With Clay’s unwavering support, Logan begins to recover from his wounds, and the two men resolve their past.
Capturing Perfection is a compelling novel that shows the darker side of war. Trina Lane’s depiction of Logan’s recovery from the traumas he suffered in battle is realistic and unhurried. Logan and Clay are well rounded, three dimensional protagonists that quickly draw the reader into the story. Much loved characters from earlier books make cameo appearances, and they provide added depth to the novel. The simmering passion between Logan and Clay is explosive, and their sex scenes are smokin’ hot!
Capturing Perfection by Trina Lane is a well written novel with a solid plot that delivers a wonderful, heartwarming love story. I am sure other fans of the series will agree this is the best novel of the Perfect Love series.
