To end the war between their kingdoms, Darkrock and Strongsea are ordered to marry and select a female mate to be shared between them. Bitter enemies, the men rebel against the notion of being bound for life, but despite their opposing personalities, they can't control their passion for each other.

When Radiance, a merchant from Earth, crashes on the planet Shandra, she is taken into slavery and bought as a gift for Darkrock and Strongsea. Both desire the exotic human slave, but Strongsea's compassionate nature drives him to protect her against Darkrock's lust.

Soon Radiance and Strongsea realize there's more to Darkrock than his harsh veneer, but only together can they draw out his inner man.

Sometimes the best things come in the strangest packages. Other times, you just have to follow your heart to your true love. Such is the story of Naughty Nights: Enslaved.

When you begin this story, you want knock the heads of the heroes together. Boy, are they bullheaded men! But, as you go through the tale, you realize that they are who they are by nature and you have to love them as-is. The scenery and lush descriptions of time keep the reader enthralled. The writing is tight and fast-paced as well.

Strongsea is a sweet, yet hard as nails hero. You like him right away because he has a tender side. But you recognize the warrior underneath and his exchanges with Darkrock are lusty and sensual. You want to see these men together even though they seem so opposite. Darkrock, for his tough veneer, is really an emotional conundrum. He wants to love and be loved, but he’s got no clue how to bring either about. Radiance, the female human slave, given to them as a gift brings out the best in both men. She’s tough but soft and tender, and willing to fight for those she loves.

The sex in this story sizzles even when the characters don’t realize they are in love. The action buoys the story in the few spots where it slows a bit.

If you want a story guaranteed to make you smile, you need to read Naughty Nights: Enslaved. I give this novella 3 cherries.

After five lonely years grieving for her dead husband, Anna Baker goes out for a night on the town. In a quiet pub she meets the handsome and mysterious Todd Sterben. After some light conversation Anna finds that she is both very comfortable with and highly aroused by Todd. She ends up back at Todd's hotel room, then in his bed, happy to feel passion again.

Some time later, Anna can't help but be hurt by how quickly it appears Todd has moved on with his life, but when Todd reveals a dark secret to her, Anna can't help but wonder if her own life is in danger. Can she trust Todd enough to accept him for who he is?

It was supposed to be a one night stand. After five years of mourning who wouldn’t want one. Unfortunately, nothing is as easy as it seems in Anna’s life.

Anyone who has ever suffered any type of loss can sympathize with Anna. The author really pulls you into her grief and sorrow and makes it your own. No wonder her best friend Trish insisted that she go out and enjoy herself, even if only for one night. Then walks in Mister Dark and Mysterious, Todd Sterben. Anna cannot help but want to go home with him, if only to relieve the grief temporarily. What was supposed to be one night of lustful bliss turned into something more.

Although the plot did take a little longer than I would like to get rolling, once it did the author kept it going. I really liked the fact that she kept you on the edge of your chair the entire time trying to figure out exactly what was going on with Todd. Unlike many paranormal romance books I have read, the author had me questioning exactly who and what Todd really was. Although lacking in external conflict this erotic couple was not lacking internal conflicts. Todd’s inability to commit, and Anna still not knowing if she is able to get over losing her husband, make you wonder if they will ever be able to truly be together.

Just when I thought the story was all romance and no sex, boy, did it get hot. Todd does everything he can to ensure he tends to Anna’s every sexual need. He left me and Anna both satisfied. If you want a story that is a good mixture of romance and eroticism, this story is for you.

Lina’s finally getting the hang of being mated to twin Elemental dragon shifters, but the Goddess gig still has her stumped. She wouldn’t trade being mated to Jan and Rick Alexandr, even though she might end up accidentally blowing them up for getting on her nerves.

When Lina, her Watcher, and their dragon mates are summoned to Yellowstone National Park for a shifter Gathering, Lina never anticipates she’d soon become fast friends with Brodey Lyall, a wolf shifter. She senses Brodey’s deep grief over a recent loss, but that’s the least of their problems.

An ancient foe with an old grudge threatens to destroy everything Lina holds dear. Now it’s up to Brodey to outsmart a homicidal, psychopathic chicken bent on revenge. Can Brodey safely reunite Lina with her men, or will a forest fire and Yellowstone’s harsh elements prove too much for even the wily wolf shifter to overcome?

“Goddess, huh? Special powers and your own parking space come with that gig?”

One day you are happily planning to marry your possibly gay best friend, when you both turn 35, and the next you are mated to twin Dragon shifters and coming into some seriously crazy powers. If that’s not enough excitement for you, throw in a kidnapping, prophesies and a wildfire at the family reunion in Yellowstone Park. I’m out of breath just remembering all of the action in this fun and sizzling sequel to Ms. Dalton’s Boiling Point.

Lina is mated to Jan and Rick, elemental twin dragons, because it’s their destiny but she has an incredibly complicated and heart-wrenching past with Zack, her Watcher, that spans several life times. I caught myself trying to reason out a way for them to be together in this life as well. I was therefore pleasantly surprised with the HEA Ms. Dalton created for all parties involved.

Tymber Dalton also introduces some additional shifter characters in Steam in the form of Triplet Alpha wolves Ain, Brodey and Cail Lyall. Brodey’s personal struggle of having to give up a woman he loves because she isn’t “the One” for he and his brothers is pivotal to the connection and friendship he and Lina form.

Lina is a strong woman and at times overpowers her dragon mates’ characters. At one point I even imagined them looking like reprimanded children, relegated to the third row of seats while she and Zack were sitting in the front, rather than Fire and Ice breathing Alpha shifters. I found myself wanting them to be more assertive when dealing with Lina’s mood swings and outbursts rather than deferring to Zack as her "Princess Prozac". At the same time her history with Zack does lend itself to giving him insight into dealing with Lina.

Ms. Dalton states at the front of the book that Steam is a stand alone story, and she’s correct, but you get a better understanding of the main characters if you start with Boiling Point (available in the Tasty Treats Vol. 3 Anthology). As a single story I would give Steam 3 Cherries.

Jake's taken longer than a guy should to write his dissertation on the modern sex industry. He can't stand the thought of leaving behind the friends he's made at twentysomethingtwinks.com -- and he won't be able to live with himself if he doesn't act on some of his favorite fantasies.

That is, if shy-guy Jake can figure out a way to take the first step, and he has no idea where to begin.

A chance encounter and a night spent at the studio with a double handful of screen stars give Jake the chance to seize his dreams. All of them. And Jake's not the only one who's hoped for this. They've all wanted a taste of him for a long time now, and there's nothing to stop any of them from getting what they wished for.

Aaron. Cody. Gabriel. Dylan. Brandon. Maddox. Ross. Thom. Skyler.

And Jake.

Ten men, ten ways to misbehave. It's going to be a night to remember.

Sometimes the best way to get what you want is to go all-out. You’ll never wonder what might have been if you give it your all.

You need to read Screen Shots 5: Sexology.

I was intrigued when I picked up this ebook. Twentysomethingtwinks.com. Interesting concept—men on camera having sex. As I got more into it, I was a bit let down. Yes, there are some really hot scenes, but I wanted to read more of the romance of the situation. The sex is hot, but I wanted more.

You really feel like you’re there on the beach with these guys as they explore the boundaries of sex. The thunder rages outside and the rain slips sideways while the candles flicker inside. It sounds romantic and sexy. For the gentlemen involved, it is quite raunchy, no-holds-barred, and hot.

I didn’t feel there was a clear-cut hero in this story, but rather a guy trying to figure out what he wants out of life—apparently men, lots of men. Hey, the reader can identify because lots of people fantasize about group sex. Although I realize that the site the guys work for doesn’t emphasize romance and commitment, I wanted to see more. I know there was a bit there, but it wasn’t enough.

If you want a story that’s packed with hot guy-on-guy action, then you should get a copy of Screen Shots 5: Sexology. I give this story 3 cherries.

Chloe has always been a creature of joy and laughter. Since a brutal attack nearly a year ago, the trauma she experienced has gotten worse. She has started hiding from her life, even putting up walls between herself and those she cares about most. During a panic attack one night, she impulsively calls a number that she’s had for many months. Chloe met Brendan at her boss’s wedding. With confidence and seduction, he easily steps into the role of helping her manage her fear. By the end of the long call, they’ve indulged in some serious flirtation and mind-blowing phone sex—and she’s feeling things she’s buried for too long.

The problem is that Brendan is the perfect male submissive—and Chloe isn’t wired for the D/s lifestyle. While their attraction is undeniable, Chloe doesn’t know if she can be everything Brendan needs. As a submissive, Brendan would never ask her to be something she’s not—even if it will break both of their hearts to turn away from how they feel about each other.

Sometimes when you anticipate the release of a particular story, you worry that it might not be all that you hope for. Perhaps the path created won’t be what you envisioned, or maybe the characters won’t come to life as you’ve seen them in your head. So when the moment arrives, and you have the story in hand, there is a level of nervousness involved. Thus was the case with Branded Sanctuary, the seventh book in Joey W. Hill’s unforgettable and eagerly anticipated Nature of Desire series.

This time around, we finally get to share Chloe and Brendan’s story. Brendan is a sexual submissive through-and-through, while Chloe – the victim of a violent and horrific crime – is still struggling to overcome lingering mental scars. Their attraction at the wedding of a mutual friend was friendly but flirty, yet, it’s taken a year for Chloe to reach out. As soon as she does, a domino effect occurs. As a submissive, Brendan wants to lance her wounds and soothe her soul, while Chloe wants to understand a man who lives to serve – in all ways.

What occurs is a journey of discovery, revelation, and healing. Not only does Chloe carry hidden scars, so does Brendan. While each need to come clean and tear away the bandage that allows the misery to fester, fear keeps them tethered, a prisoner to their own torments. The path to salvation is paved in pain, anger, and uncertainty, which is gut-wrenching, yet necessary, to witness. Joey W. Hill is the Mistress of forcing the soul to bleed in order to heal, tearing at the foundation of the human condition until she not only grips your heart – she owns it. That is her power, and her mastery flows across each and every page.

Fans of Ms. Hill will devour this story and start all over again once the journey is completed. The characters are more than mere sums of parts on paper, they are people who live, breath, hurt, crave, and love. Unlike others who will delve into the technical aspects of the work, focusing on the eccentricities of the plot and how it affects the characters, I am intentionally avoiding doing so. The blurb is more than enough reference. Go into it with what you know and allow the story to consume you – as it was intended.

I’m rating this Branded Sanctuary as a best book. Once upon a time, I swore no story would ever compare to my favorite JWH title, Beloved Vampire, but this one is causing me to reevaluate that stance. This is the kind of book that lingers with you for days, until the compulsion to return to the pages lures you in and you read it all over again.

After three years of mediocre sex (he always wore white socks to bed!), Reagan breaks up with her boyfriend. Her best friend says she needs to experience some great sex—and helps out by making a call to the gorgeous guy who runs the local coffee shop. She places an order of coffee and beignets to be delivered to Reagan’s house the next day. She just doesn’t know that Brett’s two brothers co-own the shop with him, and the three of them believe in personal service.

Much to Reagan’s surprise, Brett, Derrick and Dane all show up on her doorstep with a lot more than just coffee. What happens next is wild and passionate sex, unlike anything Reagan has ever experienced.

“Look at me, Reagan,” he whispered. “And don’t hold your breath.”

This line from Seducing Reagan pretty much describes what Reagan Shaw has been doing for the last three years hoping Collin would put some spark into their sex. She might as well have been holding her breath.

The recipe for a boring sex life would definitely have to include “he wears white tube socks when we have sex”. Reagan has been there, done that, and fell asleep! Counter that with the recipe for unbelievable sex, just add three drop dead gorgeous coffee shop owners with hazel eyes. It also doesn’t hurt to have a friend who makes a “helpful” phone call when you are both one too many margaritas into the party, either.

Reagan is so tired of vanilla sex. She wants and more importantly needs some heat in her love life. Ms. Adkins certainly knew the right ingredients to include in this spicy short story. From the moment Reagan answers the door you’ll be drooling over these sexy baristas. Brett, Dane and Derrick bring more than beignets and coffee to Reagan. They bring her the personal attention and passion she has been missing.

I enjoyed the easy banter between the characters and the fact that Ms. Adkins didn’t make this fun tale into an overly thought out event. In fact once the action starts there isn’t much talking at all, nor is it needed. The premise is simple and the conclusion satisfying. The steam in between proves to be just the right combination of tension, passion, adventure and red-hot sex. Keep a fan at the ready! The Morgan brothers give a new meaning to Personal Service.

Can Chelsea and Jordan find their child, and rediscover each other?

When Chelsea Montgomery vanished eleven years ago, her hometown thought she’d been abducted. In truth, she'd given up the daughter she'd secretly had with Jordan Case.

Now he confronts her to help find the child. With a little girl's fate hanging in the balance, will the uneasy partnership -- stained by the past -- transform into something else?

Once upon a time, she made a big mistake that she thought would bring the world crashing down around her. Once upon that same time, he had no clue he participated in said mistake. Now he knows part of what happened and he’s not about to take no for an answer.

Sound interesting? Then you need to read Confessions by Wendy Ely.

This story has characters you won’t forget. The premise is interesting and a tad sad in spots. You feel like you’re a part of the world these characters live in and you want to see them get their happily ever after.

That being said, there were a few things that brought the story down for me. Chelsea is a unique heroine. She’s done things she’s not proud of. At the beginning of the story, I really didn’t like her much. Her actions came across as selfish and hard to fathom, but as the story progresses, you see her grow as a person. By the end, she does redeem herself and it’s nice to see.

Jordan, for all his sexy hero goodness, has some sides that I thought were a tad suspect. But you have to understand where he’s coming from emotionally. He’s been in some rough spots in his life and it makes you love him all the more. Although I had a hard time buying into his opulence, I still liked this character.

There were a handful of editing errors that took me out of the story, but all in all, this is a fun read.

If you want a story that will make you think and smile, then you need to read Confessions. I give this story 3.5 cherries.

Genetic manipulation has created the first super soldier, the Circ. Able to transform into hulking, inhuman beasts at will, the second generation of Circs, under Project Dawn Endeavor, is much more dangerous than the first. The secret, psychically gifted four-man team who once worked for the U.S. Navy now belongs to the mysterious Mrs. Sharpe who is bent on cleaning up science gone wrong around the globe. She sends the men of Dawn Endeavor out on behalf of the United States government, but there’s more to her agenda than patriotism. If only the team knew what she really had planned.

There are few minds Jesse Fallon can’t read. Mrs. Sharpe’s is one of them. Olivia Lynn’s, the team’s new interpreter on their latest mission, is another. The woman is smart, sexy, and hell on Jesse's libido. Her lips say she refuses to become romantically involved with an ex-SEAL, but her body says something else entirely. Jesse’s Circ, and a Circ can never find satisfaction with a human, because only a Circ can ease his carnal needs. Except Olivia satisfies everything inside him and leaves him craving more. When the mission goes wrong, he’ll have to learn Olivia’s secrets in order to save her, and in turn, save himself. Because a Circ in love is a walking time bomb.

Enjoy the heat and intrigue of Marie Harte’s Circe’s Recruits series? Then step in line for Dawn Endeavor 1: Fallon’s Flame, an all new spin-off that packs the same punch but offers new surprises.

Jesse Fallon is a Circ – a special breed of genetically altered human’s that are faster, stronger, and experience undeniable sexual urges to mate and procreate. A navy man, he agreed to the injections that would change him in order to become a better soldier. Bolstered within his physical capabilities is the ability to read minds and share thoughts. It’s something he’s worked hard to control, yet, is having a difficult time with. When he meets the new linguistics agent, he takes refuge in his inability to read her. However, it is the unexpected and undeniable attraction he feels that catches him entirely off-guard. Olivia is a human, which means she’s off limits, no matter how dire the mating heat is or how much her unique and captivating scent calls to his beast.

When Olivia took the job as the linguistics specialist in a covert operation, she had no idea what she was getting involved in. The men at the compound are giants who tower over her, exuding dominance and power. Yet, it is one in particular that stands apart from the rest. Jesse is gorgeous and sexy, and even as her mind tells her to leave him alone, her body damns her. Struggling to stay away, she finds she cannot control the urges that demand she surrender all to him – even if that means mating with a group of men to ensure the bond between them is irrevocable.

As Jesse and Olivia come to terms with their attraction, the mystery of the story unfolds. Olivia isn’t entirely what she seems, while the mission they’ve undertaken is far more dangerous than anyone could have anticipated. As the enemy looms, Jesse and Olivia will cave to their passion, embrace what they cannot deny, and enter into an unforeseen future together.

As with the original theme of Circ’s Recruits, there is a lot of sex present in Fallon’s Flame, and it’s not for the squeamish. Ms. Harte has taken the concept of sexual heat and bonding to an entirely new level, which involves multiple partners and steamy scenes. The premise is unique and, for me, works. However, if you’re looking for a story in which the man and woman forsake all others, you won’t find it here. The characters are hot, hot, and hot, and the sexual encounters positively blister. Come prepared with a kicking A/C unit and plenty of ice water – or even better, give this a read in the currently brisk outdoors. You’re going to need something to combat the heat.

The writing, as usual, is fantastic, and ensures the pace doesn’t relent and you’ll read from start to finish. As a reader of the previous works, I was very excited to get my hands on Fallon’s Flame, and can say it didn’t disappoint. Fans of Marie Harte, especially those who enjoy Circ’s, this is a spin-off you don’t want to miss.

Regency Scotland can be a lonely place, but Augusta MacLeish has four mischievous younger siblings for company—now if she only had money to feed them! Colin Fordyce has recently inherited an earldom, along with five wards in a remote Scottish castle. When he travels to meet them, he discovers his predecessor was skimming their funds. He also learns the oldest Miss MacLeish is absolutely stunning. A knock to his head leaves him seeing two of the buxom beauty, just as one kiss from her tempting lips leaves him longing for more.

A night spent together forces Colin and Augusta to marry, leaving them all the opportunity in the world to explore the sexual hunger between them. Colin delights in teaching Augusta all the pleasures of the flesh, awakening the wanton lover beneath her ladylike veneer. From Scotland to London, the flames burning between them refuse to be doused, and oh how they will set the Ton on fire.

What do you do when you are responsible for four children, a crumbling castle, have no money, and your newly inherited benefactor is lying unconscious because he hit his head when his horse fell through the rotten boards that cross your moat? You marry him of course!

Actually, that wasn’t Augustus’s first thought but it was the end result of being caught in a compromising position with the Fifth Earl of Bruxton, Colin Fordyce, by the town’s resident busy body and vicar’s hateful sister.

What starts out as a tale of the sad plight of four orphaned siblings and their duty bound oldest sister, doing her best to provide for their basic needs, turns into a very charming and heart warming story of Augusta and Colin’s tempestuous first meeting.

Colin is a true English gentleman and goes above and beyond to ensure that Augusta and the children are provided for. He is rewarded with a wife who can not only step in and run his large new estate, but has no problem with entering the Ton with grace and entering his bed with an open mind. Augusta is innocent and very genuine. She was easy to like.

As the title suggests Augusta is awakened to a very sensual nature that she embraces freely. She willingly joins Colin in exploring their obvious chemistry. I think you’ll walk away from Awakening Augusta feeling satisfied that Augusta and Colin not only fall in love but they actually respect each other.

I had a few minor issues with how easily our hero accepted being caught in the parson's trap and forced to marry when he probably could have talked his way out of it with a few well-chosen words to the vicar. That was my only real issue with this otherwise wonderful story.

Therefore, I give Awakening Augusta 3 Cherries for a passionate story, clever dialogue and just the right amount of steam to keep me engaged from start to finish.

Margot Granville has spent five years trying to find a master in the BDSM underground of New Orleans. No man has been able to fulfill her needs. After another failed happening, she has a dream: kittengirls. She decides to throw a burlesque show with a complete cat theme, partly to get her mind off things and partly to see if there’s anyone left out there who could give her what she wants.

Maxwell Billew has what seems to be the last available hall in New Orleans, and Margot is practically begging him to let her rent it. But what’s it for? Maxwell learns of Margot’s plans and proclivities, and the brown-haired beauty intrigues him. Could she be the one who can accept him for the Dom he is, or will his penchant for punishment scare her off?

The Lovely Kittengirls of Mew Orleans is a wickedly kinky romp that delves into role play in the BDSM lifestyle. Dominance, submission, and power exchange makes for interesting reading, but when you add in a little sass and kitten play, it takes on an entirely new meaning.

Margot is a sub that lacks what she needs – a master who can control her entirely, letting go of his restraint. She has searched for the one Dom to complete her; the one man who can take control and allow her to surrender to her desires. Unfortunately, each new Dominant turns out to be more of the same. Disgruntled and annoyed, she has a dream one night that becomes something more. Calling upon her friends in the lifestyle, she organizes an event in which subs will become kitties. The Masters will control their pets, displaying them to all those who have come for the show. Now, she only needs a venue, which comes at the price of submission to a Dom that makes her heart race and her palms sweat.

Max is intrigued by the sub who wants to rent out his property for her little show. Scarred from events that occurred two-years prior, he’s been unable to connect to a submissive or to give them what they need. This time, he wants to give it a go with Margot. She is everything he has ever wanted in a slave; if only he can overcome his own fears and master her as she deserves.

This is the type of story that is fast paced with an interesting concept and engaging characters. Although I had a difficult time investing in Max initially (his history is explained, but loosely, and I would have liked to have had a deeper understanding of his motivations), his intense chemistry with Margot does light up the pages, ensuring you’ll keep reading to learn what happens next. Will they find common ground? Can he overcome his doubts? There is only one way to find out, and the journey is paved in eroticism and heat.

Fans of the BDSM genre will certainly enjoy The Lovely Kittengirls of Mew Orleans. The premise is unique, the characters are hot, and the sex scenes will leave you gasping for breath.

Valentine Nichols wants two things for her birthday—for Shane Daniels to notice her, and a taste of the wild D/s sex scene she’s been longing to experience. When she sees Shane at the local BDSM club, she hatches a plan to have both and convinces Shane to give her lessons in submission.

Shane Daniels has wanted Valentine for years but as his best friend’s little sister, she’s strictly off-limits. But when Valentine talks him into giving her D/s lessons, he gives in to some of his darker urges and dominates her sexually.

Now they are locked in a battle of wills as Valentine pushes him for a consummation of their new relationship while Shane tries to keep himself from taking her completely. Who will win? They’ll both find out when Valentine takes her spanking.

Valentine Nichols has had a crush on her brother’s best friend since she first saw him years ago. Since then her school girl-crush has grown into something more and when Valentine sees Shane Daniels at the BDSM club Black and Blue, she finds a way to make her fantasies come true. Her interest in the BDSM scene brought her to the club and when she finds out that Shane lives in the lifestyle, Valentine makes her move. Valentine has come to love Shane but will he ever see her as more than a little sister? Can she show him the woman she is and the love that they can share?

This book had me from the very first page. Valentine is a smart and strong woman who is not afraid to go after what she wants. Something I really admire in a heroine. Shane is a wonderful hero who can be the Dom as well as the friend Valentine needs. A great hero that anyone could fall for. The roller coaster of emotions that these two go through is a great read. Shane wants Valentine as much as she wants him but he believes she is off limits.

Evangeline Anderson writes an endearing story with characters full of emotion and inner struggles. Once Shane stops fighting his feelings the relationship that develops between him and Valentine is a beautiful one that I loved to read. Not only does he push Valentine's limits but she pushes Shane’s limits as well. This tale is filled with great scenes like the one where Shane finally realizes he loves Valentine or the hot scene where he claims her with not only his body but also his heart. This book is not to be missed. If you enjoy a love story with some kink to it this is a story for you.

A Shifter, A Vampire and A Demon walk into a bar…

Shifting Reality, Book 1

Thomas Lyons is your average cat shifter. Cool, seductive…and bored out of his mind. With the new popularity of all things paranormal, he doesn’t see why he should hide anymore. When his half-demon technophile roommate hooks him up with a computer, Thomas starts a blog announcing to the world who and what he is. Oddly enough, the more he shares, the less he’s believed. In fact, people begin thinking it’s a new online series with fantastic effects.

Margo Sheffield doesn’t dance on tables anymore, not since her reckless naïveté cost her so much. These days, her only guilty pleasures are dark chocolate, shoes—and a certain website with a man whose purring voice sends shivers down her spine. When the show, Shifting Reality, offers a week in a haunted Scottish castle with the stars, it seems a far-off dream. But when that dream becomes reality, her boss’s insistence that she mix business with pleasure—or else—is more like a nightmare.

Thomas’s focus on the show is blown by the luscious, camera-shy handful. And Margo can barely think about contracts when she’s surrounded by newlywed ghost hunters, a matchmaking demon and a man whose addictive touch makes her head spin. A showmance is the last thing she needs, but with a sexy cat like Thomas on the prowl…she just can’t resist.

Thomas Lyons has decided to break up his boredom by hosting a video blog, featuring his friends Mac (a vampire), Saint (a demon) and of course himself (a cat shifter) With a name like Lyons, of course he is one sexy lion shifter. He has decided to invite nine of the blog followers to Mac’s castle in Scotland as a sort of Survivor type challenge. What he doesn’t tell everyone is that although this has been very successful, he will shut down the broadcasts after the contest.

Among those chosen is Margo Anderson, a member of the online audience, a fan of Thomas, and a woman with a past she would love to forget. When she is chosen as one of the nine, her boss at the production company she works for wants her to get the guys to sign a contract for rights to produce a movie or series of the weblog. Of course, the people who are chosen think that this is all make believe, never thinking that there may be any truth to who and what Thomas, Mac and Saint really are.

Can Margo do what her boss demands of her? How many will make it through to the end of the challenge? What other hidden agendas will be revealed before the end of the trip? And most important, can Margo and Thomas find a way to make the relationship between a lion and a human work?

I had a blast reading this one. It was such a different premise, and takes full advantages of the modern technology so prevalent in today’s world. Thomas, Mac and Saint are three very interesting and unusual characters.

When Thomas meets Margo, he falls hard, and hopes she feels the same way. Margo is such a complex character: she appears quiet and sort of mousy, but underneath there is a fire smoldering. When Saint, who can read everyone’s secrets, starts telling about them at the dinner table, things get lively. Thomas, Mac and Saint are, of course, three very sexy and hot beyond belief hunks. I would expect no less in an R. G. Alexander tale. I am so glad she indicated this is the first of a series, because I definitely want to read more about these characters.

Ms. Alexander has a way with character development, and her world is very believable as well. This is a great book, a joy to read, and it leaves you wanting to visit again.

"Cheyenne" is every man’s fantasy - over the phone. Playing the popular fantasy mate, Cynthia Stewart seduces callers nightly, despite swearing off men in real life.

Separated and struggling to reclaim her career, Cynthia's heart and libido are simply on the shelf. All this talk about fantasies has little effect on her.

Until Cynthia meets a man who wants to know hers.

All of them.

Opening up her private thoughts is a big step for Cynthia. Yet she can't resist the man who describes himself like the perfect tall, dark, handsome stranger. And his calls slowly push her personal and sexual boundaries open.

But Cynthia starts to wonders if this is someone she can truly trust. Because she has been giving him the blue print to seduce her for real...

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hear people’s fantasies day after day? In Flesh For Fantasy you get an inside look at what that woman on the other end of the phone is really thinking.

Cynthia is a great heroine in her very ordinary way. She’s not a rocket scientist, she’s not a superstar, she’s just a girl trying to get through college and finalize her divorce. She’s not interested in dating, in fact, she’s sworn off men. Answering calls as a phone sex vixen just serves to remind her further that men are selfish and she’s better off without them. All that changes when she takes a call from a man who wants to know HER fantasies. How can a woman resist?

For most of the story Mark is just a voice on the other end of the phone line. We know as much about him as Cynthia does, and since the tale is told entirely from her perspective we have to rely on her opinion of him. Mark seems to truly want to know just what Cynthia wants, and I loved the way he made her feel gorgeous and desirable with each phone call.

When I first read the blurb for this book I thought, “What a unique idea! If nothing else it will be cool to see how the author pulls it off.” And I was right, it was fun to see how Ms. Waits brought Cynthia and Mark together. Along with the phone calls from Mark, the “other men” are pretty funny. I got a kick out of Cynthia betting herself how quickly she could make the callers… happy :::wink wink::: so she could get back to her homework. When Mark calls, she’s at a loss as to how to deal with him, but he quickly convinces her he’s sincere and truly wishes to know her fantasies. The phone sex conversations were hot, perhaps the best scenes in this book. The interactions between the two characters were sensual and intense and I thoroughly enjoyed them.

While the story itself was entertaining, and unique, I did have a few problems with it. Some of the vocabulary choices felt a bit forced and repetitious and pulled me from the story more than once. And though the fantasies they shared were hot, they were also a bit predictable. I wasn’t necessarily surprised by the ending, a case of “I saw that coming”, but it was still satisfyingly sweet and made me smile.

All in all, Flesh For Fantasy was a fun, quick read about second chances and taking the risk to fall for another person. It’s about taking the leap of faith even if you’ve been burned before. Chloe Waits writes an interesting story that left me with a smile. I enjoyed Ms. Waits’ take on an unconventional romance and I give this book 3.5 cherries.

The brutal serial killer Tonia helped put away for life has escaped. To protect herself, she takes a job as a housekeeper on the private island of Dr. Juan Gino Perez.

Mysterious and appealing, Dr. Perez intrigues her from the first, but she soon realizes that her new home might be as dangerous as the one she left.

The victim of another scientist's inhumane studies, Juan has bridged the gap between civilized man and primal beast. As if drawn by magic, he and Tonia can't restrain the lust between them. Her love might be his only cure. He's willing to risk anything -- even his life -- to keep her safe.

Willy the Carver's about to learn that hunting the beast's mate may be his last mistake...

Tonia has turned her life around, but the past is coming back to get her. The brutal serial killer she helped to put behind bars has escaped, and Tonia doesn’t want to endanger those at the shelter where she works. When she finds an ad for a job as a housekeeper on a private island, she jumps at the chance and hopes Willy the Carver never catches up to her.

Dr. Juan Gino Perez hires her after a very brief interview, and Tonia feels sure this is just what she needs to be safe. But the doctor is more than he appears to be, and soon Tonia begins to think she has gone from the frying pan to the fire. It seems Dr. Juan is cursed, and the only other person on the island is the doctor’s assistant, Dave, who has some secrets too. Will Tonia be safe on the island? Has she exchanged one danger for another? And what is the significance of the new tattoo that Tonia got for New Year’s?

This is a suspenseful and riveting book. Kate Hill’s story kept me spellbound throughout, waiting to see what would happen. Tonia is a strong character, overcoming a terrible past to become so much more.

When the killer escapes, she takes steps to remove herself from the place that would be dangerous for so many, and starts another life. Dr. Juan Perez is not what he advertises and he has ulterior motives where Tonia is concerned. The tattoo plays a major role here; it is a man with two faces. There are subtle hints to what Dave is, and also to what Juan and Dave are doing that Tonia doesn’t know about. But Tonia does find out what is going on, and decides maybe she can help in some way.

When Willy the Carver applies for the job as gardener on the island, you feel a sense of something working behind the scenes to bring all of them together. There is a great sense of fate and destiny here, and Tonia is just the kind of character Juan needs to tame his other side.

And what is Dave’s secret you ask? Get the book and read it for yourself. I promise you one happy ever after and some very ironic justice.

When his younger brother is summoned to Versailles, Vicomte Frederique de la Tour decides to intervene and takes his place. King Louis’s XV court is stunned when instead of a lad, the legendary spy, known to his underworld associates only as The Wolf arrives.
Lady in Waiting Hélène d’Ètoilles’ life has been serene: Serve Her Majesty the Queen of France with grace and obedience. Now her life and her sense of self are in turmoil when she discovers she’s been gifted to a nobleman for his family’s loyalty and years of service. No longer a lady in waiting to the Queen of France, she’s thrown into a world of subterfuge and passion, of lust and power.

Intrigue, spies, ample skirts, corsets, riches, power, France, Versailles, courtiers, mistresses, love and sizzling sex: a dangerous combination of elements expertly drawn out by Patricia Bates in her novel The Viscount’s Prize.

The main characters are well constructed and they easily seduced me into the story. From the almost flawless Frederique, who is harsh or sweet when it is needed, to the temperamental Hélène, who demonstrated an irritating attitude at times but ended up being a woman of not only intellect, but power, independence, audacity and courage.

However, the story has a large assortment of characters that parade through it: King Louis XV, Queen Marie, Madam Pompadour, Fidela, Elizabeth, Lumier… All of them fall perfectly into the plot. Even those that are simply passerby, such as certain spies, fit into place like a finger on a glove.

The descriptions of the rooms, the countryside, the clothes, the balls had me imagining myself in Versailles. (By the end of the novel I was feeling nostalgic that there is nothing remotely similar as to those “good ol’” historic days). The depiction of the lovemaking is also vividly crafted.

Finally, I must admit that I had to go back and reread certain parts of the novel to grasp the spying web that lay behind it all. Perhaps I just had an obtuse day, but there are still certain things which I do not clearly understand.

As a personal preference I would have loved an epilogue to the story, more than the “happy for now” we're given. Be aware, that I speak not in the sense of the characters, which find true love in each others arms, but in the sense of the scheming around them which has no boundaries.

Nevertheless, The Viscount’s Prize is a hot and delightful read for anyone enamored with 18th century France and the game of love and power.
