Kate Gentry is always the bridesmaid, never the bride. When her best friend asks her to be maid of honor, it just reminds her of how crappy her luck is when it comes to finding her own Mr. Right. Her friends point out she’s trying too hard to find Mr. Right instead of having fun with Mr. Right-Now. They convince her to put her search for the perfect man on hold and have some meaningless sex with a hot guy.

Kate takes their advice and propositions the gorgeous best man, Dawson McKenna. When he eagerly agrees, she finds herself doing things she never dreamed of doing—spanking, bondage and some amazing anal sex!

Despite knowing Dawson isn’t supposed to be Mr. Right, Kate finds herself falling for him big-time anyway. But since she was the one who made the rules, how can she now tell him she wants more than just a weekend fling?

What’s a girl to do when she can’t find Mr. Right? She initiates a weekend fling with Mr. Right-Now, of course!

Always the bridesmaid but never the bride, Kate Gentry has come to be the maid of honor for one of her best friends. An innocent conversation with the bridal party makes it official – Kate needs to live in the now. After an introduction to the delectable best man, Dawson McKenna, she decides to throw caution to the wind and offer him a no-strings attached weekend of sexual bliss. Their first night together is mind-blowing, but since she’s set the rules to keep things casual, can she also change them?

Mr. Right-Now is a wickedly hot story with oodles of sexual heat. Author Paige Tyler has created two super-sexy characters that are both passionate and adventurous, and each of their encounters is more sizzling than the one before. The shift in Kate and Dawson’s feelings unfolds as it should, slowly and over time, and provides a dash of romance and tension. Dawson sees the potential for something more with Kate but fears asking for more, while Kate experiences the same concern. As they skirt around the issue, yet, fall harder for one another, you’ll hover on the edge of the pages to learn what happens next.

Aside from a few repetitive wording choices, the writing is fantastic, and the pace never slows. You get heat, you get heart, and you get a wonderful story. This is definitely something erotica fans will enjoy, but also includes enough heart for those who expect a touch of romance.

Be sure to put Mr. Right-Now on your TBR list.

Kerri felt like Cinderella as her birthday arrived and a pair of special shoes sat waiting at her door, but she had no Prince Charming to speak of. Planning to thank her friend for the gift, she later found a Prince waiting in the wings. And not only did he want to slide the shoe onto her foot to see if it fit, but he planned to do so many other wonderful things for her feet, too.

To each his own. That pretty much sums up the story Happy Feet.

A pair of shoes can cause a ruckus in a room full of women, but who knew they could nab a boyfriend? I liked the premise of this story. Although I wanted a bit more from this story, I felt drawn in immediately. You feel for the characters right away.

Kerri wants a sexy man to celebrate her birthday with and, hey, finding the right outfit to make the date perfect is just icing. Kerri wants a man who seems out of her league. The reader can identify with her feelings. We all know what it’s like to fawn over someone we think is above us. Her occasional pessimism was a tad irritating because it felt like she didn’t want to give him a chance (or herself for that matter).

Rueben was an enigma for most of the story. From descriptions, you get the idea he’s a hot guy. So why single? Women can’t handle his obsession—feet. Now, feet aren’t my thing, but they are for him and you feel, through her point of view, his need for Kerri and her tootsies. His approach is very Cinderella-ish, but it’s sweet and you feel the passion that simmered below the surface for the both of them.

The sex is interesting and scorching. You’ll have to cool off the screen before your read again.

If you want a story that’s got a new spin on a love story, then you need to read Happy Feet. I give this story 3 cherries.

A book in the Going Down Under series.

Beatrice “Ricki” Sullivan is every man’s fantasy. Drop-dead gorgeous, she exudes a sensuality none can ignore. More than just a stunning face and body, she’s intelligent, kind, gentle…and madly, inexplicably in love with Evron, a man she’s known mere hours.

Evron McKenzie is troubled, struggling with undeniable anger that scorches through his veins. And the irrational feeling he is someone else, something more. Someone rich, powerful…someone to fear. But in Ricki’s arms, Evron may have finally found his place in the world. At last he is at peace.

So who is the seductive redhead who invades Evron’s dreams? Why does she urge him to touch a mysterious sculpture—a sculpture that seems to radiate death and sin? How can she make him hornier than he’s ever been in his life with just a look, and at the same time turn his anger into bloody, murderous rage? And, more frighteningly, why can’t he resist her?

Timeless Wrath is a story of ancient evil and fated love. It is also a hot romance, with characters you want to meet. Evron McKenzie and Beatrice “Ricki” Sullivan have one of those instant attractions that are set in motion by Fate. But they have to overcome the deep-seated rage that simmers constantly inside of Evron. The journey to true peace and happiness for these two will be a rough one. Can they conquer the demons and win?

Lexxie Couper has a talent for creating stories that jump off the page at you. The characters are all well developed, with several facets to each one’s character. The attraction between Ricki and Evron, while fast, seems so right. Ricki is a supermodel, an American, who goes to Australia to escape publicity while she prepares for her first movie role. I liked that she went with her first instinct when she met Evron. In some stories this would have seemed too quick, but in Ms. Couper’s able hands, this works to the better.

Evron is a strong and sexy character, but one with an extreme anger problem. He feels the simmering rage, always just below the surface. When he meets Ricki, it all just stops when they are together. Of course, this wouldn’t be a story without the curse that has afflicted Evron’s bloodline for thousands of years, and the she-demon who thrives on his rage. I liked how this curse surfaced in the past with mention of two famous men who were affected by the curse, and who passed it on through a sculpture that, when touched, creates havoc by the rage it imbues in it’s possessors.

There are several ironic twists and turns before we get to the happy ever after, and at least once, it appears that we may not get there at all. I do want to add a warning with this-be prepared for super hot sex in a variety of places, and keep your fan running on high.

A vacation fling. No complications. No connections. And no regrets.

Trauma surgeon Jae Sun Kim has just lost the job he wanted more than anything else in his life. Looking for a way to hit the reset button, he takes a scuba vacation. He didn’t plan on seasickness, or a dive master who is sex-on-the-beach personified.

Shane McCormack’s tendency to drift away from complicated situations has landed him a job as a dive master in Belize, which isn’t as glamorous as it sounds. But with the big three-oh looming, asking his parents to bail him out again isn’t an option. The job isn’t without its perks, though, and as soon as he figures a way to keep that hot but arrogant ass of a doctor from tossing his cookies over the side of the boat, he plans to flirt the control freak out of his brittle shell.

The close quarters on the ship generate more heat than either expects, but a vacation fling is all that’s in the plans. An unexpected adventure leaves them changed in ways that make it impossible to go back to their old lives. The risks they’ll both have to take could leave them with nothing but more scars, or the best souvenir of all.

Two men on a dive boat in shark infested waters. Jae Sun Kim, burnt out resident, is taking an impulsive vacation in Belize when his first choice fellowship falls through. Unfortunately for the prickly doctor, he’s expected to room with the sexy dive instructor with a drawl and cowboy hat. Sparks quickly fly between the two but when they’re left after a dive, they have to work together to survive. And if that isn’t enough, their relationship doesn’t end after such a harrowing experience as a stubborn Shane follows Kim home.

This may sound like the start to a B movie thriller but actually the action is pretty fast and the chemistry is hot. The story starts with the two men meeting on a dive boat and there are clear story manipulations but these shouldn’t bother anyone too much. The men have sex almost instantly so the romantic connection is initially missing as the story is slow to start. Beyond the sex and few descriptions of Kim as being prickly and abrasive, he and Shane simply banter and have sex a lot. Once they are left in the ocean – another manipulation and reminiscent of that bad movie about the couple eaten by sharks(!) – the story definitely picks up. Thankfully no one is eaten but they work together to survive and their intensity and chemistry sky rocket.

The characters are well drawn and fully three-dimensional as the various facets of both men are slowly shown. New elements of both men are being unveiled up until the very end of the book, which keeps the relationship interesting. This does leave both men somewhat unknown until the end but the intensity in the relationship makes up for this. The author knows how to write great characters and steamy sex scenes, both of which are shown well here. There are a few brief scenes with beloved characters from previous books, not too much but just enough to delight fans and throw some tension into the mix.

Overall the story is pretty successful despite the slow start. The relationship is well drawn with a solid ending and strong happy ever after. The men are pretty hot and beyond stereotypes in a lot of ways from their personalities to sex and this helps keep the story interesting and engaging. Fans of the author will likely adore this story not only for a chance to revisit favorite characters but for the great tension developed and happily resolved. While not perfect, this is definitely worth reading.

Once, Ginny was the only human contact Alex had. Now, she's the only chance he has to be free of his past. Ginny wants to cure Alex's fears. There's only one way to do that. Take him back to Max Sec Hell...and make him love it. Alex is the most powerful talent she knows. Hes deadly, unstable - and sexy.

There are some books that grab you emotionally and don’t let go. Max Sec is one of those books.

Now this isn’t one of your run-of-the-mill erotica stories. When you step into the world Ms. Lyons creates, you will know you aren’t in Kansas any longer. The prologue draws you in with an emotional hook that keeps you right in your seat. Once you begin reading, you won’t put this one down.

Alex suffered lots of harm at the hands of the teachers/staff at Max Sec School. He’s a tortured man, but I love my heroes with a little rough around the edges. The one shining point is his first love. And who doesn’t find that sexy? To know a man still thinks about you fourteen years later and he wants to be with you? I love it. They shared a coupling in the past. I liked the connection.

Ginny makes a great heroine. She wants her man like no other. But her methods for getting him really get to the old ticker. She knows he’s been mentally wounded by his situations at Max Sec, but she’s determined to show him that even the bad things can lead to good (translation: sexy) memories. She wants him to heal—in her arms. The trust shown between them is tender and the passion only enhances the love scenes. The hints of bdsm and Dom/sub, even if only mental, are very hot, indeed.

My only real issue? There are parts where reading the other books in the series would help in understanding, but I plan on getting them as soon as possible.

If you want a story that will make you laugh, cry, and squirm, then you need to read Max Sec. I give this story 3.5 cherries.

He’s got the military command…

Army Special Forces Major Blayne Forbes has always desired Jemma Teagan, but knows she’s off limits for a casual relationship. The last thing he wants is involvement with a forever kind of woman.

Jemma’s desire for the diamond-in-the-rough soldier has never faded, and when he tumbles into her arms, the tough guy sends her heart rate into orbit. She doesn’t want to love a man destined for danger, until he challenges her with a display of hardware she can’t resist.

When Major Blayne Forbes returns unexpectedly from the middle-east, the first place he thinks to go is to the abode of his close friend and confidant, Graham Teagan. Who he finds is Graham’s super-sexy and irresistible sister, Jemma. She’s fueled his sexual fantasies for two-years, but as the sibling of a friend, she is the ultimate forbidden fruit. It’ll take some of her mothering, a snow storm, and an undeniable chemistry to bring them together – but will it be enough to capture the heart of a soldier?

Jemma has ached for Major Forbes for so long she can hardly stand it. He’s everything a man should be and then some. Although his looks draw her to him, it’s his substance, intelligence, and strength that she cannot resist. When she tries to take care of him after he arrives on her brothers doorstep, obviously ill and on edge, she doesn’t realize that the one thing she wants most is about to happen. When the snow melts and a new day begins, will they be able to create a future together? Or will it remain a night of great sex between close friends?

Major Pleasure is an absolutely sinful and heartfelt story that fans of erotic romance will swoon for. Denise A. Agnew has continued doing what she does best – creating a memorable story that is both sizzling hot and unforgettable, with just enough passion and desire to kick the tires and light the fires.

From the moment you meet Blayne and Jemma, you’ll recognize their need for something more in their personal lives. Obviously, the connection is there, but due to Blayne’s relationship with Jemma’s brother – as well as Jemma’s fear of alienating her family by becoming involved with “one of them” – it complicates things. I loved the slow build which allows you to get into the mind of the characters, ensuring there is no jump into sex to muddle the incredible chemistry, nor the complexities of their feelings. He wants her. She wants him. Yet due to fear, uncertainty, and doubt, they have kept their feelings tucked away, unwilling to ruin what exists between them even as they long for something deeper. This is the ultimate slow burn, and man-oh-man, does it positively sizzle.

This isn’t the first offering I’ve read by Ms. Agnew, so it goes without saying I won’t be the last. I love her writing style, her voice, and her ability to bring characters to life. Those looking for a solid romance that tugs at your heart, yet, heats up your blood, will love Major Pleasure. Be sure to put this fantastic story on your TBR list.

Shannon Connelly works hard at the Royal Princess Saloon, but when her boss threatens her security, she knows she's in trouble. That's when two clean-cut cowboys saunter through the batwing doors and offer to change her life.

Eli and Josh Payne need a tough woman with conviction. They find this in Shannon, a pistol of a beauty with fiery red hair. Shannon decides to embrace everything their Wyoming ranch has to offer, not expecting to find Paradise in the arms of the two sexy cowboys.

Shannon Connelly is one of the most spitfire and brash characters that I’ve had the pleasure of reading. I loved her immediately and so did Josh and Eli Payne. The brothers had been on the look out for a woman who could not only handle living on a working cattle ranch but that could handle two cowboys as well. Shannon turns out to be more than they hoped for with her flashing green eyes and fiery red hair. Ms. Carlton does a superb job with Shannon’s dialect. The Irish brogue is spot on.

Shannon is naturally attracted to both Josh and Eli, which is fine by them. I really liked the camaraderie that Ms. Carlton created in the brothers. It “feels” very genuine. They pick on each other and push each other’s buttons but you can tell they truly care for one another.

The journey back to their Cheyenne spread is a bit predictable but no less fun and erotic when Shannon gets the chance to show her appreciation to first Eli and then Josh for their generosity. Shannon’s charm and self confidence are exactly what Eli needs, in particular, to defeat some personal inner demons brought on by a selfish ex-wife.

I give Three In Paradise three and half cherries for a well written novella that flows well and leaves the reader content that Shannon, Josh and Eli will have their HEA.

Hunted by his people, the shapeshifter, Jayden, sheds his human skin after escaping his execution. 200 years later he’s still on the run. When he’s attacked in the remote woods in Wyoming, the last thing he expects is to be saved by a human woman.

When Maura finds a rough looking group of men hunting a tiger in her forest, she doesn’t hesitate to pull a gun on them and release the animal. What she doesn’t expect is for that frightening cat to change into a gorgeous, surly man with a tortured past.

But when his people threaten her life, will he save her, or leave her to the wolves?

Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth... the horse might bite back. Or in this case, the tiger will rip you to shreds. Sound scary? Interesting? Then you need to read Biohazard to get the whole story.

I like a good fantasy story. This one starts off with lots of action and barely gives you a chance to breathe. Although I wanted to see more of the world that Jayden and Maura live in, you still feel like you’re there. You watch the passion and the desire blossom between them, even when they aren’t sure of anything other than the lust growing between them.

Jayden is a unique hero. He’s carrying a disease and doesn’t want to spread it, but once he sees Maura—all bets are off. He’s gotta have her. As a reader, I would’ve loved to have a man want me with the same dogged determination. It’s really sexy. There were a couple of times when he came off a tad odd, but it didn’t take away from the story.

Maura is a fun heroine, but at times, she got a bit irritating. I understand her fear of taking in a tiger and then he turns into a man—a hot man. But she does a lot of blushing and shying away. The reader can identify with her fear to leave herself bare to him, because in her past, she’s been hurt. That said, I wanted to see her sport the same amount of backbone as she does early on in the story. I wanted her to be the strong woman she comes off as in the beginning. Still, the sex sizzles and you’ll find yourself lost to their passion.

If you want a story that will leave your fingers burned, then you need to read Biohazard. I give this story 4 cherries.

Romano and Albright, Book 1

Lowly art gallery assistant Caesar Romano is freely out of the closet. Now he’d just like to get out of his Nana’s guest room. Everything—his reputation and his financial freedom—is riding on the success of tonight’s gallery opening. If only he could shake free of the past so easily.

A mysterious gatecrasher, Dan Green, looks like a promising addition to his pending new life—until Caesar’s ex shows up and suddenly the opening disintegrates into a half-naked dance melee. When the glitter settles, a missing sculpture of Justin Timberlake has Caesar up to his eyebrows in extortion, intrigue and a wild sexual adventure underneath, inside, and on top of a variety of furnishings.

As the cast of suspects piles up, so do the questions. Like who’s really blackmailing whom? And what does a stolen paint-by-numbers clown matter when Dan is so outrageously capable of blowing Caesar’s resistance to smithereens?

An orange ex-boyfriend, hermaphroditic caterer, stolen pop star statue, and a hot new private dick all combine to give Caesar a life changing experience. When Caesar puts on a gallery showing for the hot new artist, he never imagined that the end would be so wild. He wakes up the next day to find his drunken ex-boyfriend naked with a watch around his penis, a used condom in his boss’ office, a missing statue, and a sexy private investigator trying to solve a blackmail case in which Caesar is a suspect.

The story is over the top and often incredibly funny as the antics just won’t stop. The crazy and wacky cast are all suspects and the culprit isn’t revealed until the very end. The plot isn’t very complicated but it does throw a lot of red herrings into the mix. There is no real way to guess the real answer since the clues are purposefully confusing and misleading. This keeps the action flowing fast and furious, one upping itself in each scene. The plot feels somewhat manipulated as the characters and action move in obviously prescribed motions but it doesn’t decrease the enjoyment factor. You just have to suspend disbelief some and go with the story, ignoring any slight qualms or problems.

The cast is pretty large and due to the high action, mostly under characterized. Told in first person point of view from Caesar, he’s the best known character of the group. He’s funny, witty, and very charming with his occasionally flamboyant touches and spastic behavior. He’s over the top but never in an annoying, ridiculous way. He’s kept enjoyable and humorous with a very likable personality. Unfortunately none of the other characters, including Caesar’s eventual boyfriend Dan, are given much depth due to the non-stop action. This isn’t bad since this is only book one of a new series, but their connection feels based on instant sexual chemistry only and as if they just started dating rather than any happy ever after so no doubt we’ll see their relationship develop in the series.

As a beginner book, this has all the hallmarks of a fun, witty, and humorous new series. There is a lot of room to grow and explore the characters and new adventures with some steaming hot sex between them. While this may not be perfect it has a very deft touch to the writing that keeps you interested and never exasperated by the various shenanigans. Get in on this series now, you won’t want to miss this ride.

Mika is ferret, hear him... chitter. Merry Christmas to him, he's ready for some BDSM bottoming action and the Hair of the Dawg is just the place to find what, and who, he wants.

Don’t judge a ferret by his fur. Sounds an awful lot like ‘don’t judge a book by it’s cover’, but it’s true. If you read Holiday Howlz: BDS Ferret, you’ll get it, too.

I’ve read all the stories in this series and I have to say that this one is my favorite. The characters warm your heart while they whip your libido into overdrive. You feel like you’re part of their world. You can smell the smoke in the air and feel it caress your skin as you follow Mika through the bar.

You have to realize this is a short story and the action will happen quickly. Still, I wanted to see more build-up before Mika met Owen, but when they are together... wow! The pages scorch. I wasn’t able to really see Owen in my mind, but I could totally hear his voice and could see why Mika found him so alluring. The descriptions really draw you in. I liked the plot twists in this story; they kept me on my toes and wanting to see what would happen next. When I thought things would play out one way, I was pleasantly surprised to see them happen another way.

Although the idea of bdsm and control might not be the ideal story for some, it totally works in this tale. I liked seeing a character who understands their personal needs and is comfortable enough to run with them. Owen is a great compliment to Mika’s sub.

If you want a holiday story that will stick with you long after you close the document that’s got a bdsm flair, then you need to read BDS Ferret. I give this one 4 cherries.

Hard-working NYPD cop Noah Tobin didn’t even want to go on vacation. But it’s been a tough eighteen months since the death of his lover, so he’s determined to make the most of it. On his first night in sunny Florida, a chance encounter with a handsome man in a bar bathroom jumpstarts something in Noah that’s been dormant for all those months. Then the man disappears.

Noah’s vacation is thrown into upheaval because he can’t just let it go when he learns that the mysterious man who turned his life upside down went missing. He volunteers to help with the manhunt for his mystery man, a wealthy restaurateur named Harrison Knowles. But finding Harry is only the beginning of Noah's hot pursuit.

Opposites attract when a sexy encounter leads to kidnapping. Noah is on an enforced vacation as he struggles to get over the death of his lover a year and a half ago. Burnt out from his work as a New York City cop, Noah is in Florida trying to soak up some sun and relaxation. He meets sexy, attractive Henry in a bar one night and their hot encounter ends with Harry disappearing. Feeling somewhat responsible, Noah decides to get involved in the investigation and soon becomes embroiled in Harry's complicated life. Against all signs, Noah can’t walk away from the growing emotions between them.

This story is hot, fast, and entertaining. The plot has some holes, as a NYC cop is involved too easily in a Miami investigation, not to mention the somewhat convoluted and complicated drug connection that is built. However these problems are easily overlooked since the pace is fast and pretty slick. The action is quick with the kidnapping resolved soon but then the complex reasoning behind the act takes up most of the remaining story. While the Miami detectives try to figure out who kidnapped Harry and why, Noah is charged with keeping him safe and the two are stuck together in a hotel room, which can only lead to sex and talking. The writing is decent and the scenes are engaging, which keeps your interest even as the plot stumbles somewhat.

Noah and Harry are well crafted, although not fully three-dimensional. There are some lapses in personality and established traits – such as Noah ignoring Harry's involvement with drug dealers – but for the most part these two are shown as warm, caring individuals. Their connection is strong and based on understanding pain and loss in their lives. The men and their burgeoning relationship is engrossing as they grow closer with escalating emotion and sexual chemistry. Their bafflement at how a one-night stand could come to mean so much is amusing and sweet. There are several secondary characters that help move the action along but stand on their own with interest such as Ruiz whereas others, like Amanda, seem a bit superfluous.

Overall this is a fun, easy story. The characters, drama, and sex scenes all add up to deliver a decent and enjoyable book that’s worth reading but perhaps unlikely to make a keeper shelf. If you’re looking for some fun set in the heat and spice of Southern Florida, check this out.

What's a prairie dawg to do when a family of gator shifters asks him to dinner?

Is there a fate worse than meeting your girlfriend’s parents? Yes, if her folks are gator shifters and they have you on the menu for dinner.

Want to know more? Then you need to read Holiday Howlz: Tails and Scales.

This addition to the Holiday Howlz stories revisits some of my favorite characters: Dolly, the gator shifter and Bryce, her prairie dog shifter boyfriend. I liked seeing the next chapter of their relationship—meeting her folks.

The romance in this story is already there because the characters are a solid couple, so that took a bit away for me. I wanted to see it build a bit more, but then tension between them is good. The pacing of the plot keeps you involved through the last page. The world is well-built, making you feel a part of it.

There are a few hiccups that keep Bryce and Dolly apart and they make the story fun. The sex between them sizzles. Yes, you feel their passion as if it was your own. And who knew you could have such a steamy scene on the banks of the bayou? Whew!

If you want a story that will stick with you long after you close the document, then you need to read Tails and Scales. These opposites attracted and it’s a steamy time. I give this story 4 cherries.

There’s a fine line between man and beast…one only the heart can cross.

Forbidden, Book 4

A year ago, Jacob Madison got more than he bargained for during a rock-climbing trip to Yosemite. A freak accident left him badly injured, at the mercy of the elements—and the wolves who rescued him. If it hadn’t been for them, he’d be dead. He’d also still be human. Now he’s back, hoping to find out who he is and what he’s become. Instead, he finds smart, sexy Allison Connelly.

A forensic psychologist, Allison is newly divorced and proudly standing on her own two feet…until an unexpected storm shears off the snow bank she’s standing on. She plunges down an icy ravine, thinking she’s heading for oblivion. Then she lands in the arms of a tall, dark Texan. Jake.

Brought together by circumstance and bound by passion, secrets from their past threaten their future before it can begin. And somewhere in the mountains lurks a rogue Were turned serial killer. Whatever the danger Jake’s inner beast poses to Allison, there’s only one way to protect her—unleash it. Even if it costs him her love.

Samantha Sommersby’s Forbidden series is one of my favorites. The characters are always larger than life, while the varying plots never fail to captivate and entertain. In this newest offering, Forbidden: The Temptation, we learn more about Jake, a man recently turned werewolf that isn’t very happy with the beast under his skin.

While out for a run with his pack, Jake and crew come across a stranded and freezing Allison. Her vehicle broke down, and she thought she could make the walk to town before the heavy snowstorm moving in hit. Unfortunately, she not only gets caught in the storm but has managed to slide down a ravine where she is trapped. Jake changes, comes back for her, takes her to his cabin, and…well, things go from chilly to blazing. Yet, all is not that it seems. Something dangerous looms nearby and will do anything and everything to fulfill its purpose and claim its mate.

It isn’t necessary to read the previous stories to follow Forbiddden: The Temptation,, although I do recommend that you read them to understand supporting characters and the premise a bit better. There are elements that might seem strange, especially as past characters show up for a visit. Think of it as a continuation, with each story advancing the series. In knowing everyone you’ll gain a better understanding and foresight.

The writing, as always, is fantastic. Ms. Sommersby writes some of the best dialogue there is and never fails to turn up the heat. I loved the witty banter and sexual chemistry that Jake and Allison share and felt that the shift from humorous to sensual was spot-on. I was also taken by the subplot involving the lowest ranking pack member, Ryan, and the Beta he’s in love with, Mireya. It’s a complex story with multiple layers, yet, never becomes overly complicated as the characters remain the focal point of the work.

Fans of the series will thoroughly enjoy Forbidden: The Temptation. Don’t miss out on this exciting and oh-so wicked story.

Rose has the winter blues. For three Christmases she's been the consummate wallflower at the Magical Forest Christmas Festival and she wanted so badly for this one to be different.
She's about to give up and leave in disappointment yet again when she spots Father Christmas. Marching herself over to him, she plops down in his lap.

"And what is your Christmas wish this year, my dear?" His rich, deep voice inspires trust, but she'd have asked for her wish no matter what.

"I want the biggest screaming orgasm the Magical Forest has ever seen."

Is it possible that a misunderstanding can lead to the love of your life? It can be if you wish hard enough and you know a certain jolly old elf.

This addition to the Holiday Howlz series deals with Santa and his elves. Who knew elves could be sexy? Marteeka Karland’s story draws you in with intriguing characters you can’t forget.

Ever been that kid in school who everyone looks through, not at? Have you ever wanted to be the girl/guy that the person of your dreams thinks about? Then this is the story for you. Wallflowers unite!

Rose is an interesting heroine. She wants a man, but not just any man. She wants a guy who makes her heart sing and her body throb. What woman doesn’t want that? You can identify with her need to be desired and her feelings of inadequacy when she seems to be ignored. You want to see her get what she wants out of life.

Kris is a yummy hero. He’s got his heart set on one woman in particular. But she’s hardly given him the time of day. What’s a man to do? Show his utmost desire for her by trying to be the man she needs. I liked his devotion to Rose, but I thought he should’ve been himself. If you have to become someone you’re not in order to score a date... I find it a bit suspicious, but in this story, it worked.

If you want a novella that will leave your fingers scorched, then you need to read An Orgasm for Christmas. I give this story 4 cherries.

Attus Tratt commands Red Alpha Base, a paranormal military group. He has ultra-sensitive hearing and during each full moon his nights are tortured by the nocturnal, erotic screams of Jynx Islin. She's beautiful and sexy and her vocal climaxes are driving Attus crazy.

Jynx is a werewolf, an expert tracker, and she's in love with a human. She longs for Attus and when the moon is full she reaches out to her handsome commander the only way possible -- through his exceptional hearing. Each gasp, groan, growl and scream is just for him.

A rescue mission brings them together on a full moon Christmas and Attus must answer Jynx's canine call.

Who knew you could find love just by listening to the sounds of a pleasure bot in service? Intrigued? Then you need to read Holiday Howlz: Canine Call.

BJ McCall’s addition to this story collection is a fun, but emotional one. Her characters grab you from page one and don’t let go until the end. You feel like you’re a part of their world. I liked the idea that the characters aren’t simply there for a sexual purpose—they have a life beyond the lovemaking. That made this story special to me.

Attus is a different kind of hero—but don’t let that fool you. He’s not perfect, but when he finds the one woman who makes him tick, he’s all for finding her and making her his. The determination is hot. You’ll find yourself melting for him on contact.

Jynx, the wolf shifter, is a fun heroine. She knows what she wants out of life and darned if she won’t get it. Her service in the rescue solidified her standing in my opinion. She’s the type of independent woman we could all use as a role model.

And when they make love? You’ll have to check your fingers for burns, it’s so hot! The passion and desire float right off the page.

If you want a quick, but hot read for a cool evening, then you need to read Canine Call. I give this short story 4 cherries.

He didn’t know the nightly peepshow was just a naughty invitation…

Garrett knows what he’s doing can get him into trouble, but he can’t help himself. Every night, as he arrives home, the blonde across the alley gets busy with her boyfriend with the blinds open. He’s spent the past two weeks getting an eyeful and falling deep into lust.

But when Garrett sees a man in a black ski mask sneak into his sexy neighbor’s bedroom, he doesn’t know he’ll be the one captured.

Jayne has a nice life with a nice lover who sees to her every need, but she’s still drawn to the lonely man across the alley. She’s been sharing her deepest fantasies with him from afar, but is ready to up the stakes. When she talks Richard into enacting a dangerous scenario, everything works out as planned. Only Garrett’s not happy about being played. And he’s got reservations because she already has a lover and he’s not into threesomes. Guess she’ll just have to convince him otherwise.

This short story is a very hot read. The story has strong characters and the voyeurism aspect pulled the reader right into the story. You could feel the conflicts that Garrett fought with as he was drawn into Jayne and Dick's web.

I found this story to be very believable, if a bit fanciful. I felt bad for Garrett as he dealt with his lonely heart and innermost longings, and I even could sympathize with Jayne, although I would like to have her problems. I especially liked the scene with the toy in the restaurant, that was hot, beyond belief, I don't want to tell too much and spoil the surprise for the reader, but it was certainly fun.

The writing in this story was very good, and made for a very hot quick read, that should tempt any reader of this type of story. I give it four cherries.
