Love can tame the wildest heart…

A prequel to Amber Eyes.

After Duncan Kennedy stumbles across poachers in his mountains, he is understandably angry. His discovery of an injured cheetah makes him even more furious. He takes the cat home until he can summon the local vet, only to get the shock of his life. When he checks on his charge, he finds not a cheetah but a gorgeous, very naked woman.

Aliyah Carter spent the past six months trapped in cheetah form, a prisoner of the poachers who took her to use in an illegal exotic-game hunt. Finally she’s escaped, but now she faces another problem. A devastatingly sexy sheriff who knows her secret.

Local sheriff Duncan Kennedy comes across poachers on his land and as he scares them off he finds a wounded Cheetah. Not knowing what to do with it he brings it home only to find out it is not only a cheetah but also a woman.

Aliyah has been running from the poachers for days and she is on her last leg. As she recovers she stays with Duncan and must decide on what she is going to do about her feelings for him. Can Duncan find and stop the illegal poachers that have come to his town? Will he be able to convince Aliyah to stay with him or will she disappear from his life forever?

The tentative relationship that develops between Duncan and Aliyah is a sweet read. Duncan is a strong man who fights for what is right and is very protective of those he cares for. I adored him as a hero. His gruff protectiveness gave me chills. Aliyah is a young woman who is scared and confused especially about her feelings for Duncan. The longer she stays with him the deeper she falls for him. She's a very touching and sweet heroine that melted my heart. Between Aliyah and the poachers, Duncan’s world has been turned upside down. The sex between them is hot and heavy but the love that underlines it shines through it all.

Maya Banks brings the reader into a wonderful sensual world and had me from the first page. Fast paced and well written this book should not be missed. No matter what Maya Banks is writing about from shape shifters to Dom/sub relationships, and more, I am never disappointed. She has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I highly recommend this book.

Kristina Taylor's biological clock just went off. She has endometriosis. Now “who's your baby's daddy” just took on a completely new meaning. A brilliant plan for conception includes her hot best friend Johnny Huston. Taking him to bed won’t be a hardship—if she can only get him to play by her rules. After all, she wants to maintain their friendship. Not easy if he ends up being the best sex of her life.

Knock her up? Krissy has to be crazy. Or is she? Johnny has loved her since high school. Her plan might not include life after baby. His does. But how is he going to show her how good they can be together with all her rules—no kissing, no touching, no caressing. He can make love to her, but she’s determined not to enjoy it. To hell with that and to hell with her rules. He’s determined to show her friendship is the best foundation for a relationship.

But there are always complications…

With Johnny, Krissy is afraid to look to the future. Right now, she can’t get enough of the present, and she dreads the thought of losing what she’s had with him in the past.

Not so long ago, I enjoyed my first KyAnn Waters story. The characters were unforgettable, the sex was to die for, and the story swept me away. Needless to say, I’ve been a fan ever since. So when I was given the opportunity to review her newest, Johnny Loves Krissy, I couldn’t contain my excitement.

In this story, we are introduced to long-time best friends Johnny and Krissy, as well as their ragtag group of friends lovingly referred to as “the six pack”. Krissy has just learned that a medical problem she’s suffered from for years has advanced to the point that if she wants to have children, now is the time. She won’t have the opportunity to later, which means she has hard decisions to make. As she turns to Johnny for guidance, she realizes he is the only man for the role. She simply has no idea now to convince him of it. Johnny, of course, has been in love with Krissy all of his life. She’s sassy, she’s smart, and she's undeniably beautiful. When she tells him of her troubles, he knows he is the perfect person to be the father to her child. The only problem is convincing Krissy that while he’s a friend who can give her the baby she wants, he’s also the man who can give her the happiness she deserves.

As they tear down emotional barriers and break all of their “rules”, the friends turned lovers learn what sort of complications arise when sex becomes a part of the equation. The tension is high, as are the unstable and fluctuating emotions that develop from their confusion and newfound desire and affection for one another. The result is a story that is funny, steamy, and oh-so delectable. Johnny is positively swoon-worthy and Krissy is perfect as the commitment-phobe woman that is afraid to trust her best friend to become something more. I absolutely loved the stark and sharp dialogue, as well as the secondary characters that bring the story to life. There is so much heart packed into Johnny Loves Krissy, which makes it not only a sizzling erotic romp, but a heart-wrenching romance as well.

A definite must read for any KyAnn Waters fan -- heck, for any erotic romance fan! -- be certain to place Johnny Loves Krissy on your TBR list. My only complaint was that when it was over, I felt robbed -- I wanted more.

Hi. My name is Mari. I’m of average height, average weight, average looks and I hold an average position at Hardy’s All Goods, my personal version of retail hell. To sum up, I’m nothing special. So why has Devon Campbell, the city’s Most Eligible Bachelor—and my unrequited high-school crush—suddenly crashed back into my life, claiming I’m the one who got away?

Devon can’t possibly want to keep me for the long haul, right? My screwed-up past is enough to make anyone run screaming in the opposite direction. Still, he’s determined I give him a chance…and I’d be crazy to turn down his offer of a two-week trial.

What’s a girl to do when offered two-weeks to spend quality time with the hottie from high-school that she never forgot? Three words…Go For It!!!

This is the ultimate real-life fantasy for almost every girl that felt like the official school wall flower. Mari’s life is a bit transient thanks to bad foster parents. She never guessed that the one guy that had caught and held her attention during her sophomore year, not only noticed her buy honestly wanted to get to know her. As luck would have it she moved away again before he could work up the nerve to ask her out. Fast forward a few years and imagine the breathless encounter of having that dream guy track her down and ask her to dinner.

I was totally blown away with the chemistry between Mari and Devon. He is so determined that she see him as a real person rather than the “Most Eligible Bachelor”. Devon truly and honestly wants to be with Mari and give her a happily ever after. I couldn't have asked for a better hero. Devon’s personality and the sheer effort he puts into making Mari happy left me completely breathless and close to tears at times. He is my candidate for the ultimate sweeps-her-off-her-feet Prince Charming.

Ms Jane did a terrific job of creating “real” characters. Mari has insecurity as well as trust issues. She can’t seem to figure out why Devon is so determined to win her over. At the same time there is a part of her that wants so bad for this to be real, for him to be real. Mari is spunky and the dialogue between her and Devon is often humorous and engaging. One of the unique aspects of Ms. Jane’s story is that half of the hot and steamy action takes place in Mari’s dreams. Let me tell you she dreams in Technicolor.

I will be watching and waiting to see what Ms. Jane offers next. Two-Week Trial serves as my very first 5 Cherry rating, for a short story that I just couldn’t put down and characters that drew me in from start to finish. Bravo Ms. Jane!

Book 3 in the Gridiron Lovers series.

After twenty years in the NFL, Dave Delaney’s playing days are over and he’s back home in Hedgecock, Texas, coaching football at his old high school. He’s tired of meaningless sex and his empty lifestyle. Dave is ready for change and sets his sights on the girl who got away.

Diane Connors is attracted in a big way, but Dave is used to being chased by groupies almost young enough to be his daughters. He’s still a chick magnet with a wild reputation, and she’s gun-shy after escaping a miserable marriage with a bully—another local jock.

Thing is, neither of them can forget what might have been.

Hot In The Clutch, book three in the Gridiron Lovers series, is an incredibly romantic story that brings two older, and wiser, people together. It’s not your typical erotic romance in that the focus isn’t on sex, but rather, the connection made between two people as life slows down and you begin to reflect on what matters most in life.

The heroine, Diane Connors, is a fighter. Married out of high-school to the town bully, she learned quickly that some dreams aren’t meant to be. Now, divorced from her husband (who is deceased) and on her own, she’s happy in her life. It’s not until NFL quarterback Dave Delaney returns home after a devastating knee injury that ends his career that she starts thinking of something more. She was deeply attracted to the gorgeous man all the way back in high school. Since he’s here to stay and he indicates the spark runs both ways, she’ll decide to take a chance that could change her life.

Make no mistake; romance is the catalyst of this story. Diane and Dave have shared an attraction for years and now they are free to act upon it. The result is sharp dialogue, memorable scenes, and tons of heat when the lights go down. My only complaint is that the declarations of love just weren’t believable to me, nor was their decision to settle together within a matter of hours (on the first date). Sure, things like this happen, but it’s rare and I just didn’t feel it. That isn’t to say this detracts from the story, but rather, takes it from being a believable contemporary romance to more of a fairytale one. Not that there’s anything wrong with that!

The writing is fantastic and the characters are wonderful. I loved Diane and Dave equally, as well as the secondary characters presented along the journey. This is my first foray into the series but I fully intend to do some homework by purchasing the first two to catch up.

If you like sexy football heroes and spunky heroines, be sure to pencil Hot In The Clutch onto your TBR list.

Sergeant Bailey Stevenson and Captain David Wellmine keep dancing around their attraction to each other. Bailey is more than willing to take their friendship in a more intimate direction, but David can’t climb out from under his father’s thumb long enough to take the next step.

On St. Patrick’s Day, when Irish magic is strongest, a meddling elf gives Bailey and David a chance to step beyond their doubts and fears to embrace the love simmering below the surface between them.

But when the spell is over, will David break the chains of his father’s plans for him and give Bailey his heart, or will he break Bailey's?

The portal has been closed. The dragon slayers are cleaning up the remaining mythological creatures from the Realm of Dreams. For Captain David Wellmine and Sergeant Bailey Stevenson, the dragons are metaphorical, and each man needs to come to terms with his own particular “dragon” in order to find true happiness in life.

Bailey is insecure because he feels no one can love him after his body was scarred in an explosion. For David, it is choosing love over family expectations. For both, it is the challenge of recognizing true love before it slips away from them. Can these two find their way to each other, with a little help from some magical friends? Can David go against all that is expected of him to choose his own path? Will Bailey discover his worth is more than his physical self?

The characters in TA Chase’s dragon series are a marvelous mix of human and myth. David is the strong, heroic military man looking for his father’s approval in all that he does. His only rebellion to date is his military career. He is attracted to Bailey, but is not ready to “come out” to his family. Bailey is intelligent, handsome and sweet, and dreams of David as more than a superior officer. Bailey knows he will be leaving the military as soon as the threat of the dragons is declared over. It is only after Mordred does a little behind the scenes manipulation that David and Bailey explore their feelings for each other.

I love TA Chase’s romances. He writes with a passion for the story, and his characters are real and compelling, as are the stories he weaves for them. When you read TA’s stories, gender doesn’t matter, feelings do. These two could be any couple in love, and facing the insecurities inherent in a new relationship.

I loved that we were able to spend time, not only with David and Bailey, but the heroes from the two previous books. These other characters are as richly detailed as our two main lovers. Catching up with Hugh, Kael, George and Mordred was fun, and watching how they interacted to bring David and Bailey together was fantastic. Do David and Bailey have a well deserved happy ever after? You have to read Fighting Dragons for the answer. But I recommend this to anyone who believes true love is real, no matter who is involved.

When space pirates kidnap Princess Melena Androkova, thwart her peacekeeping mission and strand them on an uncharted planet, things can’t get worse. But after weeks alone with two sexy men, tenderness warms her heart and the hostile world becomes a paradise.

Enjoying erotic dreams of both Keir and Zarod, not knowing they’re a couple, Melana suggests the only sane solution in an insane world—a ménage. They may never leave this planet and what’s a life without love—or sex?

If she can accept that lady makes three, she’ll find true paradise in her lovers’ arms.

Pirates in outer space, what a great idea! At first the concept had me a little baffled but as soon as I started reading this story I realized it really works. Then you add in a Princess and you have one great story.

At first I was a little concerned about the plot. In the beginning it seemed as if it would be a boring storyline but my opinion quickly changed. Once they crashed onto the unknown planet the story started to pull me in and I was hooked, just like the princess Melena, and there was no escaping.

The beginning of this story was definitely sensual. From reading previous stories by this author I knew she has a spicy side to her and was wondering where it was, then she brought it out. I think because the story was not initially spicy it added a little more depth to the relationship, so when you did get to the sexual relationship it made it that much better.

The growth of the characters displayed throughout this story was excellent. Once they realized they were all stuck together, they decided to treat each other just as people, instead of as the labels they previously owned (princess and pirates). The fact that Melena did not realize the Keir and Zarod were a couple also added a little more excitement into the story, especially when she fell in love with Keir and soon Zarod as well. Between the great character development, and unique plot I wished the story had never ended. This was an enjoyable read that I highly recommend.

It began so innocently…but it didn’t stay that way.

After saying a spell from a magic dragon book to entertain her nieces, Tina finds herself with a wounded dragon on her lawn. He doesn’t stay a dragon for long. He turns into the most luscious man she’s ever seen.

In the dragon’s world, every woman has two lovers—her Protector and her Warrior. To survive, the three of them must Join.

Tina knows the perfect man to claim as her Warrior—strong, powerful and sexual. Now she has to convince him to Join with her…permanently.

While entertaining her nieces, Tina recites a spell from a beautiful dragon book. That spell brings Raython into her life. Now Tina has her dragon but must find her warrior. Tina knows just the man: Dane. She has loved him from afar and hopes that he will accept not only her but her dragon as well. Will he step up and be the warrior Tina needs or will Dane ignore his wants and turn his back on them?

This book has an interesting concept. In Raython’s world a woman has two lovers: her dragon and her warrior. Once the three consummate their relationship a magical bond occurs between them. I enjoyed reading about the effects this bond has on each of these three characters especially Dane.

Dane goes through a roller coaster of emotions as he comes to terms with all that is presented to him and because of the bond he keenly feels each and every need from Tina and Raython and it only feeds his own. Each of the main characters endears themselves to the reader from Raython’s almost childlike innocence to Tina’s love and trust for her men. Dane is a great Alpha male that loves and cherishes what he considers his and is more than willing to fight for it. The relationship that builds between the three is not only a hot one, but one filled with love, a love that you can see especially as they fight off the Hunters that come for Tina.

Tielle St. Clare brings the reader into a sensuous world full of magic and wonder. Fast-paced and well-written, this is a book that many should pick up, especially if you believe in magic, dragons and finding your true love.

When Shyla Smith learns of her grandfather’s death, she travels to Hood River to put his estate in order. Shyla’s not thrilled with staying at his humble cabin in the middle of a forest, and when a welcoming committee of four wild wolves greets her at the front door, she all but runs back to New York City. Nothing could have prepared her for the secrets which were about to unfold.

Coal Demmering and Jacy Roddery are the spiritually appointed mates to Shyla. The problem? They need to convince a city woman she belonged with them in Hood River, she descends from a highly revered white wolf bloodline, and a rebel pack of wolves has her marked for death.

With Coal and Jacy filling her nights with passion and her days with danger, will Shyla finally submit to the call of her wild heart?

“Darling, you may wish to censor your thoughts. I can hear them.”

From the explosive first meeting between Shyla, Coal and Jacy the chemistry is hot, hot, hot. Shyla has heard stories about wolves and weres her whole life but never considered them to be anything more than that... stories. The Blue Moon Legacy was merely a legend told by her estranged grandfather in the letters he sent her. Or were they?

Ms. Regale has created a beautiful and exciting story where legends are real and the white wolf is revered by most but endangered by a select group of rogue were.

Shyla is such an enigmatic character. She is in denial about the legend and especially about her role in bringing back the white wolf. But, she wants it to be true and feels the tug in her soul that it is all true.

As I said, the chemistry between Shyla and her men is hot, so is their dialogue. One of my favorite lines was from Jacy speaking to Shyla, “Aw, babe, I’m loving the way you look at me.” A moment while I swoon…

I loved that Ms. Regale make Jacy and Coal so competitive for Shyla’s attention. They know they have to share their mate but neither is willing to make it any easier on the other. It makes for some humorous as well as tense exchanges.

This installment is listed as a 1st in the Blue Moon Legacy and the fact that Shyla had white wolf cousins that were missing leaves a perfect opening for a second and hopefully third in the series. This reviewer will be keeping her fingers crossed with that happy thought. I definitely recommend you read this book.

Terra offers sanctuary to both Angellum and Virkola. Unknown to the humans, a truce exists there. To Terrans, the two species exist as myths. One is a frail, winged creature from religious texts. The other, a demon of the night, living off blood. Both are far from the truth…

Sorin thought sanctuary was the answer to their problems. Terra with its plentiful creatures, full of fresh blood and off limits to the millennia-long war with the Angellum—who wouldn’t think it paradise? Except paradise comes at a high price. Claiming a bounty on a renegade angel hasn’t ended up the way he planned at all.

Teo loves his ship, his life in space, but he loves Sorin more. The plan seemed sound, but the bounty is a fraud and now the price is on him and Sorin. He’ll make the best of the rest of his life with Sorin, even if it’s only for a few weeks.

But when hope appears from an unexpected source, both men grab chance by her wings.

Usually, I'm not one for the Sci-fi genre, but Shayla Kersten has actually made me interested in her Sci-fi stories. And let me tell you that is one big feat. Anytime anyone mentions science fiction stories I usually turn the other way but that was not the case with this story. Not only did I love it I will probably read it over and over again.

The characterization in this story is amazing. Teo and Siron seem to complement each other perfectly. They have what most people dream of having in a relationship. When Teo takes the lead, Siron is more than happy to follow and vice versa. After reading about them I would like to think everyone could meet their perfect other half as these two have.

Not only did this story draw me in from the very beginning, I actually whimpered at the end, because I was not ready to leave the world Shayla Kersten created. This story really had me feeling every emotion, whether it be happy, sad, angry, lustful, it really had it all. While the ending wasn't quite what I expected, the conflict was solved in a better way than I could have imagined. This author clearly knows what she was doing by leaving her readers wanting more.

One of the reasons I never liked sci-fi stories was because I always felt they were either too descriptive, or not descriptive enough. Shayla Kersten gave me just enough information in this story that I could see the world she was trying to create, yet had enough space to add my own mental imagery to it as well. I just hope that the author will continue Teo and Siron’s story, because I am sure it will be flying off the shelves.

If you science fiction (or even if you don't!), do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of "Angel Moon". It's a keeper.

Maura is the best pilot for experimental small craft that the Alliance has seen in decades. When a research treaty allows a representative from Nyal space to participate, she has a fight on her hands. Alzor is the best his species has to offer and that is saying something. His tail does not impede his ability to fly a ship, shuttle, or fighting craft. When Maura's craft becomes stranded in a test flight, the giant kitty comes to get her. His craft has a difficulty and they are forced onto a hospitable world. Now that they are on equal footing, Alzor has only to defend himself against her viper tongue for two days when a shuttle will be able to retrieve them. His ways of keeping her mouth busy become quite inventive.

Alliance experimental pilot Maura Aitcheson is the best there is at what she does. The only other pilot who comes close is Alzor, a pilot from Nyal space. When Maura experiences a problem on a test run, Alzor comes to her rescue in his ship. Alzor is the only male that sets off Maura's warning bells, and she is confused about what she wants from him. Alzor is from a feline-based race, and Maura is Terran.

When Alzor encounters a breakdown in an asteroid field, Maura returns the favor of rescue, borrowing an experimental ship meant for the Sector Guard. Complicating things is the fact that Alzor is a feline shifter “in rut” and Maura is attracting him in the most basic of ways. Can Maura get Alzor safely out of the asteroid field? Can these two avoid the attraction growing between them? Will the new ship perform as promised? Most important, just what form does Alzor take when he shifts?

I love the characters that emerge from the Mind of Viola Grace. I never know what will happen with them, and this book is no exception. Maura is a strong Terran woman. She volunteered for duty with the Alliance, and is willing and able to do her job to the best of her considerable abilities. She is an excellent pilot, and sassy and courageous heroine, and one smart enough to recognize when she has met her match.

That match is Alzor, feline shifter from Nyal space. He is strong, handsome, and just a little bit on the devious side. He is willing to do whatever it takes to make Maura his mate. Through a series of accidents, these two are thrown together and must find a way to survive and get along. The love that builds between them sneaks up on Maura, but the passion that they feel is magnificent.

I love the twists that Ms. Grace puts in each of her stories of the Terran Times, finding ways to link her stories, sometimes subtly and sometimes not. Do we find out what form Alzor assumes when not humanoid? Yes and it is magnificent to behold. What is it you ask? Read Enraptured and discover it for yourself.

Clint is surprised when the new interviewee is none other than Brianne. She’s been a constant thought in his mind, and now that he has her right in his sights, he’s not letting go. He needs her in his life—in his bed—and he’s not above using any means to get her there, including sharing her with Zack.

Brianne hates the fact that she’s flat broke, and the bill for her mother’s care is due in one month. Clint and Zack are a temptation she's been trying so hard to ignore, but she's too broke to say no to the job they offer her, even knowing it's going to be that much harder to keep her distance. She's more right than she could even have imagined when Clint makes another offer she can't refuse. He'll pay her bills for a weekend of hot sex with him, including a menage with Zack.

Lust At First Sight is without a doubt a steamy erotic novella. The premise pretty much sets up the story: A woman in need of cash accepts a very erotic proposal from a man she’s tried to avoid. As you can imagine sparks fly, passions ignite, and a whole lot of loving occurs in between.

Brianne is a woman who finds herself in a horrid situation after her mother’s bills continue to mount. I related to her as a daughter who wants to do right by her mother but is hindered by monetary limitations. As she’s also been hurt by a man in the past, she avoids entanglements at all costs. Therefore when she meets Clint and her attraction is revealed, it made sense that she would avoid him (and his offer of a ménage with his brother) at all costs. It’s not until circumstances force her to search for a new job that’s she’s placed under Clint’s mercy again, only this time there is more than her body on the line. She feels something for him, and it’s this attraction and longing that drives the story. Can she move past the hurt in her past to seek out a new future? Can she possibly accept Clint’s brother into her bed to seal the deal and prove just how much she wants him?

Despite glimpses into Clint’s mind, I never felt that I really got to know him. His attraction to Brianne is there, as is his desire to protect her, but it’s never fully explored (aside from being stated it exists). Because of that the declarations of love weren’t so easily believed. However, the work is a novella and it’s often difficult to convey emotion in such a short span of time. Emotion aside, this is a story that sizzles and that is what engages a majority of the interest and maintains it throughout.

The writing is hot, the pace is fast, and once you start reading you’ll finish before you’re ready to. This is a story that someone who is short on time can enjoy, especially if they want a bit of emotion and a few twists and turns that tug on your heart along the way.

Never look back…

The Watchers, Book 1

After suffering years of abuse as the virtual prisoner of a drug lord, Robyn Andrews has had enough. A carefully planned escape is her only hope for survival. Her past nipping at her heels, she boards the first bus out of town and heads for Louisville, Kentucky.

Trigg is a Watcher with two missions in life. One, to hunt and eliminate Rogue vampires. Two, to be left alone. Yet he can’t bring himself to harden his heart against the petite woman who looks so lost standing in the rain. And when Robyn joins him in a battle against Rogues, the little spitfire shows the bravery of ten Watchers. She’s someone special, someone he needs in his dark life.

Someone he can never have. He’s vampire; she’s human. A future for them is impossible.

But the past has a way of catching up—and changing destinies with deadly speed.

Dark, mysterious and oh so sexy. Those are only a few words I can use to describe Trigg, a vampire who has sworn to protect civilization from the rogues of his kind.

After escaping years of abuse from Jack, the last thing Robyn was looking for was another man trying to control her, yet that is exactly what she got. Who wouldn't want to take care of a starving, visibly abused female like Robyn? Trigg only wanted to make her evening a little easier by purchasing her a real meal, but that one meal turned into a lifetime.

Your heart will immediately go out to Robyn in this story. I was a little concerned that the love story was about an eighteen year-old, because that seemed a little too young in my mind but it worked well since Robyn was forced to grow up fast due to the abuse she lived with. I also enjoyed the way her previous circumstances made her adapt to Trigg and the other Watchers' way of life easily.

Trigg, like many men in these types of novels, is your typical Alpha male. He would have to be in order to be a Watcher for his kind. Only around Robyn can he allow himself to show his softer side. So between Robyn’s need for protection, and his need to loosen up, they come together wonderfully.

The plot line was phenomenal. The way everything tied in together was perfect. The story was constantly moving forward and kept me turning page after page. It's one of those books where you say to yourself this is the last chapter I'll read, but yet you keep going until you realize you've read the entire book. It also sets you up perfectly for the next book in the series which I cannot wait to read.

This was a great love story between two well-deserving characters that you definitely do not want to miss. I highly recommend Midnight Reborn.

Katie Fairfax jokingly asks her cousin for “a gorgeous, exciting, bedworthy man to make all my wildest dreams come true,” not expecting to be taken at her word. When she first meets Jud Carlton, she finds the man pushy and overbearing. But as Jud bulldozes into her life, she finds his special way of loving is what she’s always longed for.

What if the man you wanted stood right before you, but you were afraid to give into his demands? Would you run away? Or insist you get together for Trick or Treat? I guess you need to read the latest by Madeleine Oh to find out more.

Madeleine Oh is the mistress of the BDSM book. I know when I open one of her stories, I will come away needing a stiff drink and a good fan. This one is no exception. Katie wants a man to turn her on, one who won’t be wimpy or sappy. Jud wants a woman who knows how to take a command. He doesn’t want a whimpering girl, but rather a woman with a backbone. When I read their story, I felt like I was there, playing the voyeur.

My favorite character in the story was actually Andrew, Katie’s cousin. He’s got a wicked sense of humor and made me laugh out loud more than once. I liked Jud, but there were times when—although I totally got his methods—I wanted to shout, "Just go for it!" He irritated me, but by the end, I wanted to see him at his best.

The sex scenes in this story are super hot. The passion between Katie and Jud is evident before either is ready to admit it and that added a dimension of emotion which drew me right in. Jud is a great Dom for Katie’s sub side. Kudos for making me squirm!

If you want a sinfully hot story to warm the chilly spring nights, then this one is the right one for you. I give Trick or Treat 4 cherries.

She’s a demon, he’s a shapeshifting leopard. From their first meeting in the Arizona desert, passion ignites and trouble begins. As a demon, Sakari Lock must harvest lifeforce energy through sexual seductions to sustain her exiled world. But when Sakari meets Brad, she breaks the number one rule of Anartia—don’t get personal with your quarry.

Physician’s assistant Brad Montag is drawn to Sakari’s lustful advances with a blazing desire he can’t explain, unaware of how dangerous she is. No matter how enticing, she’s a complication he doesn’t need until he can conquer his past and regain control of his shapeshifting abilities. Sex this wicked and good can only lead to disaster.

When immortals from an alternate dimension try to free their exiled world, Brad is caught in the middle of a battle that could destroy not only him, but the land he loves.

Rich with the promise of love or heartache from the possibility of separation, the characters in Damned And Desired will tug at your emotions like a harpist on her instrument. Demons and demonesses send drones to Earth to utilize sex to draw life energy from mortals which is required to protect their prison world until they find release in the return to their home planet.

Demon drone Sakari Lock is sent through a portal to Earth to draw ‘chi’ from humans though she is haunted by an accident in which she drained the life-force from a man until he died. When she meets a naked man wearing only a leopard skin in the middle of the desert at night, she’s drawn to him and fears she’ll be the death of him too. Using mind control to provide images of wild sex, Sakari lures him closer to withdraw his energy as ordered, but hates the task because she wants him physically like no other and is not permitted to orgasm. She is to bring his energy back to Anartia and present it to the demon and demoness to keep their temporary world together.

An EMT and a physician’s assistant, Brad Montague strives to help find lost tourists in the Arizona desert. Responsible for the death of a fellow soldier in a war, he struggles to come to terms with what happened when he shifted into his feline form and went on a killing spree to protect his troop. The moment he meets Sakari, he’s intrigued and horny as hell but doesn’t understand why he only can think with his groin when near her.

The words flowed beautifully, with sex as the main focus of the story, though not for love or money. The characters sang from the pages in a melody of emotions, fears of loss, and hope. The Native-American elements and ceremonies were fascinating. The only thing that was confusing was the head hopping which tended to cause backtracking to make sure who was speaking or thinking in monologue.

It was a great read and deserves 4.5 Cherries for the creativity and mystical qualities of two dimensions where the characters are torn between love and duty. Very entertaining. I couldn’t stop reading, wondering what was going to happen next. I recommend this book as one you must pick up!

Natalie Beaumonde’s life turns upside down the day she walks in on her boyfriend, Van, playing submissive to a beautiful dominatrix. Not only has she been betrayed, but Natalie loses her belief in herself as a desirable woman. And when she starts making mistakes at work, her career being the one thing she’s always excelled at, she’s in danger of losing her self-worth and her job, too.

Lincoln Masters isn’t like most bosses. Instead of issuing a reprimand, he decides his sexy executive assistant needs a good spanking, something he’s been dying to deliver for almost a year. And afterward, he hatches a plan to help Natalie rebuild her self-confidence and show her wandering man the error of his ways: become the dominatrix her boyfriend is looking for. Being a Master himself, Lincoln’s the perfect dom to help her execute the punishment.

Lincoln’s terms for helping her? He wants a piece of Natalie, too. Now Natalie finds herself with a growing fascination for her boss. When Van’s punishment is complete, can she go back to being just Mr. Masters’ assistant?

Take Your Pleasure is a sizzling hot erotic novella with a premise that isn’t entirely what you may think. Although you believe you have an idea regarding the character motivations, the truth will undoubtedly surprise you.

On the titillating scale, Take Your Pleasure delivers. You have the betrayed executive assistant, her sexy boss, and their flourishing relationship. From the moment Lincoln offers Natalie a spanking as a punishment for her absent-minded behavior, the heat is on, and man-oh-man, does it get hot! The power exchange is fantastic -- Lincoln is a born dominant while Natalie is most definitely a part-time submissive -- as are the circumstances that bring them together. The two of them, to put it simply, have an amazing chemistry and it shows.

The issue I had wasn't with the way the all-important subplot involving Natalie’s significant other was handled. After spending two-years with Van, the hurt she experiences when she walks in on him with a Dominatrix is understandable. She’s not into “kink” and is unsure of herself and uncertain of their relationship. These elements of betrayal, heartbreak, and low self-confidence force the reader to relate to Natalie, and allow you to understand that while she submits to her boss despite understanding her needs or reasoning, there is something deeper involved.

What bothered me, however, was her eager readiness to deliver the brand of punishment she wanted to Van, without discussing the matter beforehand or trying to understand his needs as a submissive. Van’s behavior after discovery (a broken man pleading to introduce Natalie to his “therapist” to help her have a clear understanding of the lifestyle) is so very different from the man we are shown when Natalie chooses to master Van for himself, and leads to a very sexy but emotionally confusing scene near the story’s conclusion that I had a difficult time accepting. Van turns into a jealous and abrasive “brat” of a submissive, while Natalie struggles to liberate herself from a woman who was shunned into an enlightened sexual goddess. To be sure, there is emotion here, and it’s heady. However, I found myself detached from what I thought I knew and thrust into something else entirely.

The writing is fantastic and the sexual tension is so thick you can hardly breathe, ensuring that the above mentioned issue is only a very minor complaint if you delve deeply into the context of a story. I did enjoy the characters and would have liked more time with them to understand them better. As it is, they made an impression, which, either good or bad, is definitely the mark of something intriguing.

Those looking for an erotic offering that delivers on the butterflies-in-the-stomach action won’t be disappointed with Take Your Pleasure.

Leah Wright isn't only Iron Maiden. She has a day job as well, and she's in Chicago on business. But after a day dealing with crowds, she's ready for some alone time. She takes to the sky, where she encounters an attractive stranger--one of Chicago's own superheroes. One thing leads to another and she has a very good time.

When she returns the next evening her playmate has brought a friend. She soon discovers that the dynamic duo are very close, but more than willing to share the love, and the three of them make beautiful music together....

What an interesting premise for a story!

The characters in this story felt so real, they practically jumped off the pages. They all seemed so exciting, especially since they are supernatural protectors. And when supernatural protectors get together for more than just saving the world, then boy oh boy do they know how to have fun.

You first get introduced to Leah and Jiang, and the sexual tension between these two practically vibrates the pages of the book. I was not at all surprised when it led to an smoking hot erotic rendezvous on the rooftop in the rain. I was surprised the heat between these two did not cause all of Chicago to steam up!

Then, the following night as promised, Jiang brings a yummy surprise for Leah named Dylan. The three of them quickly get more intimately acquainted in a bedroom. What woman would not love to be in a room with two gorgeous men that cannot only please her completely, but each other as well? The only negative thing I can say about this short story was I wish it was longer so I could get to know more about the characters. I was completely invested in their story.

If you need a sizzling quickie with great characters and a story so hot it'll scorch your fingertips, then this is the story for you.

After years of playing the field, Hayden has finally found his soul mate. Problem is, the well-endowed Cassie thinks all dragons are trouble and she has no intention of letting Hayden anywhere near her. He's going to have to do some fast talking to convince her he's the dragon of her dreams.

In this continuation of the multi-author Dragon Kin series, Anne Kane has added her own personal spice to the world of the dragon shifters. This installment is the story of a man who falls in love with a woman then has to convince her that not all dragon shifters are evil like the man who had kidnapped her years before.

Cassie is a strong, wild woman who has been through a terrible ordeal that has turned her against dragons as a whole. Hayden is a dragon who, the moment he sees Cassie, knows that she is the soulmate he has been looking for all of his life. With a strong will and a tender hand he will try to convince her that he is the one for her and that all dragons are not bad. I found both characters compelling and enjoyed seeing their battle of wills, and Cassie's growth as she realized that her preconceived beliefs might be a little skewed.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Anne Kane has taken the world of the Dragon Kin series and has added yet another level of steaming passion, heart-touching compassion and genuine friendship that is truly a delight to read.
