Regina would love nothing more than to shift into her tiger form and play all day long, then spend the evening having hot, sweaty sex with her dark faerie, Jessup. But there’s only five days until Samhain and the triad has not arrived to claim the bloodstone, and it’s her job to help them when they arrive.

Her foes have other ideas for Regina. They’ve summoned another dark faerie, Notus, to try and break her and Jessup apart. But when Notus arrives, Regina discovers that finding the triad is no harder than looking at herself and the two faeries who want nothing more than to tie her up, then send her flying.

But they're going to have to balance bedtime play with hard work to get to the heart of the bloodstone and save the world.

Regina is a sex kitten with way to many people fighting for a place in her bed. Luckily Jessup has figured out a way to corner that market. Well at least he had until Notus, another dark faerie, shows up. With a reputation for being insatiable Regina may not be able to keep up with these boys.

While all of the characters are intriguing I would have to say that Notus is my favorite. His quick wit and smart mouth had me laughing out loud. He seems to know what button to push, on not only Jessup but also Regina and any other character that cares to make his acquaintance. And let’s not forget that he is a sexy dark faerie. Though, I am not sure what the difference between a dark and light faerie is. Not that it matters because I would take that dark faerie over a light one any day.

I think the relationship development as a whole in this story was well written. The fact that Jessup and Regina were so perfect together and reluctant to accept Notus into their relationship, even if forced to, made for great reading. I also liked that Jessup and Notus had a deep harbored secret that even Regina wasn’t privy too. Watching these characters interact and their relationship develop definitely keep me interested in this story the whole way through.

From the very beginning the author draws you into not only the relationship between the three main characters, but also the conflict with Matlyn. I think that the conflict with Matlyn added an edge to the story, so that even if the romantic relations didn’t keep you reading (which it did) the antagonistic conflict will. Especially since it is not clear to the reader how the story will end. In today’s literary world there really aren’t many stories that keep you guessing on who is going to succeed in the end as this story does.

This story is a sequel to a previously released story, Amethyst Eyes. It is not mentioned except for on Loose Id’s website. When reading this story it seemed as if it was a sequel, but I did not get the feeling that I was really missing any important parts of the story. So I can unquestionably say this can be read as a stand alone novel if you have not read the previous story.

The relationship between Jessup, Notus and Regina is definitely spicy. Whether it is Jessup and Notus worshipping Regina’s body or Jessup dishing out a tantalizing spanking. There may not be full on guy-on-guy action other than a spanking but it is clear these men are attracted to each other. These characters have so much wild kinky sex you can also tell how much they really care about one another even if they do not realize it themselves.

With an array of enticing characters a great plot and sub-plot this story was definitely worth reading.

Aphrodite’s talent for bringing about “happily ever after” despite numerous obstacles has never helped her straighten out her own love life. She’s been keeping her estranged marriage to Hephaestus a secret from everyone, but his determination to finally make it work and regain her heart has convinced her the time for secrecy may soon be over. But when Hephaestus catches her with Ares, he decides his wife needs to be taught a lesson. Aphrodite stands very little chance against his erotic assault, but she still refuses to promise to be his forever. As he continues making her live out all his fantasies, she must ultimately decide if she only wants his body or if she can truly return his love.

I am a big fan of mythology, and the twists that Susan Sailors gives to the old tales makes them such fun to read.

Everyone has insecurities. Even the ancient gods and goddesses suffer from time to time. Aphrodite is the goddess of love, and she has had her share of lovers over the centuries. But she doesn’t believe that true love is in her future at all.

Hephaestus loves Aphrodite with all his heart, and they have been secretly married for quite a while. But it was a marriage forced by Hephaestus, and they separated when Aphrodite had Ares’ child. Now, he is courting her, trying to get her to return, when one of the Fates thinks she can manipulate them into being together. Her goal may be worthy, but her methods are far from perfect. She creates a lust spell over Ares and Aphrodite, and Hephaestus catches them in the act. Taking both Ares and Aphrodite to his home, he imprisons both of them to punish Ares and seduce Aphrodite. Can the gods find out who is behind this before it goes to far? Will Hephaestus convince Aphrodite of his love? Can Aphrodite accept that she can love, and accept what Hephaestus offers?

I liked that the goddess of love had such doubts about her own worthiness to be loved. The insecurity and fear that Aphrodite displays was so human and it was delightful to read. I loved that Hephaestus was willing to do anything to get the woman he loved.

Even after he knew it was a spell cast upon Ares and Aphrodite, he’s still determined to convince her they belonged together. The passion and romance is marvelous.

I loved the combination of mythology and contemporary times that Ms. Sailors has built into her world, and I plan on reading more in this series, soon.

If you like mythology with a bit of a kick, this one is a fun reading experience.

Coming clean never felt so good...

Grant and Vivi Michaelson share everything in their marriage: love, commitment—and their wildest sexual desires. But their relationship is tested when Vivi admits she wants a threesome with Grant's old friend Cade, proposing their annual trip to the lake as the perfect opportunity to fulfill her fantasy.

All three of them are aroused by the idea. Vivi and Cade have long felt a smoldering attraction to each other...and Grant and Cade have hidden an illicit desire for decades. Going through with the ménage will test their boundaries, reveal old secrets...and maybe tear them apart. After all, there might be room for Cade in bed, but is there room for a third in their marriage?

When a wife reveals her greatest sexual fantasy, only to learn that her husband has one of his own, what are they do to? The answer awaits you in Coming Clean, an erotic romance that offers a lot of heat, heart, and tension.

Grant and Cade have been best friends since childhood. Although they experimented with each other sexually while watching a racy film in their teens, Grant went the way of the heterosexual while Cade embraced his bisexuality. Now, years later, things couldn’t be better. Their friendship has endured and Cade gets along great with Grant’s wife, Vivi. Until Vivi reveals that her ultimate sexual fantasy is to have Grant and Cade at the same time, which forces Grant to confess to a compulsion he’s kept hidden for years. He, too, wants Cade in his bed. As the husband and wife plan to approach the man they view as a best friend who they hope will become more, they know there is a lot more than sex on the line.

Coming Clean is a story that is extremely multifaceted, making it so much more than a mere ménage. As you are introduced to all the characters, you are also given insight into all of their wants and desires. Versus being a story about a man and woman who invite another into their bed, this is a journey of three people embracing what they’ve always longed for in hopes of discovering a future together. I felt that the time devoted to their back story was necessary and added to the emotional depth of the work, and enjoyed the time shared between Grant and Cade especially.

My only complaint is the way the aftermath is handled as it felt rushed and forced, but given the length of the work and the source material, I could understood why it ended as it did. The writing itself is very good, and dialogue is the perfect combination of naughty and sweet.

Ménage fans are sure to enjoy Coming Clean.

Friday’s child is loving and giving…

Ewan Collins has had the hots for Natalie for years but she continually rebuffs him, supposedly because of their age difference. When Natalie comes to stay with the Collins family for a week, Ewan decides it’s time to make his move in a serious way.

Natalie’s been in a funk since celebrating another birthday alone. When Ewan proposes to help her “get a life”—seven lessons in seven days—she figures, what the hell does she have to lose? Ewan’s plans include tequila shots, fishing, karaoke…and other, more erotic hands-on demonstrations.

But Nat’s loneliness isn’t Ewan’s only obstacle. Tragedy in her past continually takes Natalie to a dark place her mind can’t easily overcome. With support, tenderness and love, Ewan plans to win over Natalie one lesson at a time.

Starting with lessons of the heart.

I fell in love with the Collins family in Mari Carr’s first book of this series, and each new book just draws me further into this marvelous world.

Seven whole days with the Collins family may turn out to be more than Natalie is up for. But a promise is a promise, and Nat is sure she can handle whatever happens. As a thirty-something successful professional photographer, she is confident and capable of taking care of herself. But when she agrees to let Ewan Collins give her “life lessons” has she signed up for more than she can handle?

Ewan has been in love with Nat for ten years, and he is not about to let a little thing like age stop him now. But can he convince Nat that age is just a number, and that they would be perfect for each other? Can Nat learn to look beyond the tragedy of her past to find happiness again?

These characters are real and passionate and full of life and love.

Natalie is such a fantastic character, with drive and determination to spare. I enjoyed watching her spar with Ewan as he tried to breach her defenses, giving as good as she got. Nat has so many layers to her, and I loved watching her slowly come to terms with her ghosts and her feelings.

Ewan is a delight. He is determined to prove to Nat that he is not a child, and that what he feels is very real. It doesn’t hurt that he is one very hunky Irish devil, and the lessons he comes up with to win Nat are fantastic and lots of fun.

You can feel the true affection in this family, and at times it brought tears to my eyes. I laughed at some of the antics, I cried at the honest emotions that Nat and Ewan expressed, and I didn’t want this story to end.

Do Nat and Ewan find their happy ever after? Only after lots of laughter and tears, but it is so worth the experience.

On her thirty-ninth birthday, Lainie gets a completely unexpected “present.” Divorce papers. Certain that her heart is irretrievably broken, she cries herself to sleep -- and wakes up, even more unexpectedly, in Belize. At a resort. With three of the most gorgeous pool boys she's ever set eyes on.

Rutger. Jamar. Paolo. Each more edibly handsome than the last. For Lainie, absolute, unendurable heartbreak is looking better all the time!

This is a very interesting short story from Sierra Dafoe.

Surprises can be good or bad. In Lainie’s case, the surprise she got for her thirty-ninth birthday was the worst: totally unexpected divorce papers. What a birthday present. After crying herself to sleep, she wakes up to another surprise: she is poolside in Belize with no idea how she got there. One thing is for sure, it is just what she needed, especially when three of the hottest young men start catering to her every whim. Can Rutger, Paolo and Jamar convince Lainie that she is ready to start a new and better chapter in her life? Can they teach her that this is a new beginning, not an ending?

I love Lainie, a woman at the edge of it all, a bit confused about how it all happened. She has no idea how she got to Belize, but I liked the fact that she was more than up for the adventure.

I enjoyed how Ms Dafoe put the teenage girls in for contrast to the more mature Lainie. The girls flirted with the pool boys, but the boys only had eyes for our heroine, Lainie.

And what a fantastic group of men. Rutger, a college student from Uzbekistan, is big, blond and built for action. Paolo is Portuguese, and his accent is just like the air in Belize; soft, sultry, way too much like sex. And Jamar, the lifeguard, with abs so taut they ripple when he laughs, and his skin glows like polished mahogany across his broad, rolling shoulders. What a smorgasbord to choose from.

Of course, this wouldn’t be Sierra Dafoe without a tantalizing and sizzling bit of hot sex, and the scene by the pool in moonlight does not disappoint. Which one does Lainie choose? I think you need to read Pool Boys, and discover that for yourself. But one warning: keep anything combustible far from this one, it is short but very hot.

Her only hope is to reach for heaven—and hang on to hell.

Lily’s psychic “gift” for hearing the dead and helping them pass over into the afterlife has left her friendless and broken, teetering on the edge of sanity. Not much of a challenge for Sammael, a demon who’s been sent to seduce her soul for hell.

But something stands between Sam and his prize. Micah, the guardian angel whose constant support keeps Lily sane. Yet Sam senses that Micah’s feelings for his charge are less than angelic.

Excellent. It’ll be his pleasure to tempt them both into pure sin.

As Lily succumbs to unearthly pleasure, she finds herself caught between the demon who sets her on fire and the angel who lifts her to unimagined heights of ecstasy. It’s a choice she can’t bring herself to make.

Then a serial killer with preternatural abilities makes Lily his next target. Danger mounts as he repeatedly outfoxes even heaven and hell. To protect her, an angel must fall, a demon must be redeemed—and Lily must travel to hell and back for the men she loves.

No, you cannot have my soul but I will give you my body for a few hours! The only problem is that when dealing with a demon and angel you cannot give one without the other.

Sammael is everything you want to see in a demon. He is cunning, attractive and can talk a nun out of her panties - which he has actually done before. If a demon was to ever knock on my door I would hope it would be one just like Sammael. If I am going to fall from grace I would want to go out with a squeal, which is Sammael's specialty.

If a sexy lust demon isn’t enough to get your blood boiling what about a gorgeous blue eyed angel? Micah is the perfect light to Sammael’s darkness. He was sent to be Lily’s guardian to help her keep her sanity when her psychic abilities threatened to take it away, but after spending so many years with the sweet Lily he could not help but eventually fall in love with her. When Sammael shows up to seduce her, Micah doesn’t know what to do. He cannot allow a demon to seduce his charge away from him even if the idea of watching them together is a powerful aphrodisiac. The problem is: Which will Lily choose good or evil with these two hunks on each of her shoulders?

In the end the author really tied things up into a neat little package with a pretty bow on top. It was evident that the author really thought this story out from beginning to end. The plot is woven in a way that it draws you in and holds you in your seat. If having a demon and angel aren’t enough you also have a crazy serial killer on the loose determined to create a modern day witch hunt. Even a few of the minor characters get a happy ending out of this story, which is very rare and one aspect I was happy about. Did I forget to mention that pretty little package happens to have couple of good looking horny men? I’ll tell you one thing - I won’t complain.

So if you want to take a walk on the sinful side and find out what happens when a demon seduces not only a human, but also an angel, this story will definitely do the trick.

A software conference with a lot of techie geeks sounds boring, but Kenzie’s excited about this one. She’s going to see Noah Chambers again! After meeting once, she hasn’t been able to get his sexy smile out of her head. Noah’s looking forward to seeing Kenzie again too. He knows it should be strictly business, but dammit, she’s hot and he’s kind of hoping four days in a hotel with her might lead to more than tech talk.

When an old flame of Kenzie’s shows up at the conference, and Shaun clearly has the same hopes as Noah, how to resolve the competition between the two men for Kenzie’s attention? How about by making her ultimate fantasy come true—with a hot threesome?

“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do at the conference” Good advice, but not much fun. Nothing livens up a boring business conference like some after hours negotiations and a little “team-work”.

It had been a year since Noah and Kenzie had seen each other even though they worked for the same company, in different states. While they kept in touch, thanks to a joint project, Kenzie and Noah are anxious to reignite the face-to-face chemistry and enjoy the slow burn.

This little novella was such a fun read. Ms. Jamieson tapped into a real life common man’s (and woman in this case) fantasy and made it sizzle. Her character building is strong and the plot, while simple, is well developed. Both Kenzie and Noah were such “real” people with relatable insecurities and desires. I think having the casual fling, Shaun, show up was just the right catalyst to prove to both Kenzie and Noah that their feelings for each other were real.

I imagine writing a ménage scene can be difficult. The author has to be able to coordinate all parties involved so that no one player is left out or overshadows the players in the fun. Ms. Jamieson did a terrific job of writing the ménage scene for Conference Call. It flowed well and was incredibly hot. The M/M play is brief and adds a little extra spice to experience.

I couldn’t put Conference Call down and I think you’ll enjoy this quick read as well. It’s sweet, it’s sensual, it’s a can’t miss!!

Ren Alsatian is no one's guide dog, but when forced to care for a blind woman, the last thing Ren expects is the straight-laced librarian who reads him like a book. She fills his dreams nightly with page after page of raw sex between the dusty aisles. He wants to show her how to smell, touch and taste again.

Marguerite Pinkston knows it isn't going to be easy living with the service animal assigned to her. She dislikes dogs and this one comes with a handler whose husky voice and wild, sexy scent enflame her with visions of entwined bodies. If only she could see...

Rescue comes in all shapes and sizes and breeds.

Few books capture my attention within the first few pages, but this one did. J. Hali Steele captured mine right off the bat. Her characters came alive for me, even when they didn’t behave as I’d suspected. I felt like I was right there with them, going through the motions and learning to love without condition.

As soon as I met Ren, I wasn’t sure I’d like him. He came across as a bit brash and selfish, but as the story grew, so did he. It wasn’t like I got a clear picture of him at first and thank goodness. His devotion and need to be what Margy wanted was refreshing. It was an added bonus that he happened to shift into the very dog I love the most. Think of all the police officers who’d be just divine as shepherd shifters.

Margy was interesting in her own right. She’s blind but not helpless. She wants to do things on her own. Wants to see as she had before, but things happen. Doesn’t hurt that a darned handsome man happens to be her protector while she goes through the physical therapy. I liked how she and Ren had a connection prior to the story, albeit non-consummated. The pairing is simply sexy and I wanted to see them get the happy-ever-after they deserved.

Although the bit of miscommunication was awkward, I liked it because it was human. We all go through spots where we goof up our lives thinking we’ve done something good and it wasn’t or vice versa. That made the story more realistic and a better read.

If you want a story that’s got lots of heart and heat, then you need to read Shepherd’s Watch: Serviced. And yes, I do hope Ms. Steele writes more for the rest of the clan. I give this story 4 cherries.

Be careful what you wish for. It might come with an expiration date…

Josie’s well-meaning friends just don’t get it. It’s not that she’s overjoyed to be thirty-two and celibate since her boyfriend dumped her. She’d love to settle down, but she refuses to settle for just any man. After all, better single than a sucker. Nevertheless, she humors her friends and follows the instructions attached to the gift they’ve given her—a beautiful bottle from a new-age shop. Lick, and the perfect man will appear.

It works. The naked man she finds tied to her bed is everything she’s ever wished for. Except Mr. Perfect comes with a time limit.

Kede is tired of living life by the hourglass. Once, fulfilling the desires of the women who freed him was enough, but now it’s just another job. Josie is different, though. She sees him as a real man—a man she wants for all time.

Kede wants more than a moment. He wants a chance at life outside the bottle, and he wants a life with Josie. But he belongs to the goddess Inanna, and his time is running out…

Created to please, unable to say no, and ready at your command. Sounds hot, doesn’t it? In a lot of ways, it is, in others.... it’s bittersweet.

But you need to read Boyfriend in a Bottle to find out the whole story.

This is my first Shona Husk story, but it won’t be the last. In just a few pages, I felt like I was right there with Josie and Kede as they fumbled through their issues. I liked the tension in this book. From the beginning, the relationship has its constraints and it was interesting to see how they dealt with it.

This is a shorter story, but it does pack a punch, both emotionally and temperature-wise. Phew. I needed a fan when I finished the story. Now don’t get me wrong. For a hot story, this one lacked the gratuitous aspects found in many erotic stories and it worked well. Sure, Josie needed - no, wanted - to open up and try something new. Heck, twelve months without nookie makes anyone a little twitchy. I liked how Kede, even though he was there as a pleasure object, became more to her. His job, though seemingly easy and no-strings, was actually really hard because of one major issue. But it worked.

My only complaint, and really it wasn’t much of one, was the pacing. Things happened really fast in this story and it was a bit hard to believe that love or a relationship can form in the matter of a couple days. I’m not saying it’s impossible. I love a good fall-in-love-overnight story, just like this one. It’s just quick. I wanted to see things develop longer, but there is the pesky issue of the lamp and the sand. So really, the issue isn’t one because things happen in the story for a reason.

Overall this was a great read I want to go back and visit again and again. I give Boyfriend in a Bottle 3.5 cherries.

During an intense weekend of BDSM fun and games, Gentry and Jenna decide that Antony had the right idea in bringing the three of them together. But when the weekend is over and real life intrudes, will Gentry be able to give up his vanilla life for one of Minding Mistress?

This quick read is full of depth and emotion. When Antony invites his best friend home and into his and Jenna’s little family the sparks fly. Seeing the submissive side in Gentry assures Antony that he is the one that he is looking for, the one to help Jenna while he is serving his tour of duty overseas.

Jenna is a strong and fair Domme and the love of her life, Antony, may be her submissive but he can stand on his own two feet as well. Gentry is a loving but confused man. He loves to make women happy and to serve them but all his life he has been told to be the strong one, the one in control. As Jenna and Antony share not only their love, but also their understanding with Gentry, he begins to finally feel acceptance and belonging. Katrina Jamieson didn't have time for a man in her life, much less a cowboy. She's not about to give up her career as a fighter pilot for anything. Zipping amongst the clouds at 40,000 feet is her dream and being the best pilot the Force has ever seen, encompasses her days.

Justin Wilder, cattle rancher and all around gorgeous hunk, doesn't need the feisty Katrina in the middle of his world. He does just fine, thank you very much, taking care of his cows and building his ranch, but he can't seem to forget her after she slams her brand new, Mustang GT 500 KR into the side of his truck.

When their worlds collide, sparks fly and these two are so hot, skin sizzles when they touch. Can their attraction stand the test of time or will it burn out faster than the afterburners of her jet?

Justin Wilder is driving in Las Vegas when another car, driven by Katrina (Kat) Jamieson slams into him. She blames him for running a red light but he insists it was green. They go their separate ways and we learn that Justin is a cattleman whose family has ranched for years in Wyoming. He thought the winters too cold and decided to start a ranch in Nevada. Mark is his business advisor and early in the story sets up a meeting for Justin with a Japanese businessman. It's there that Mark introduces his cousin, who just happens to be Katrina. They dance together and both are attracted to one another, however, Kat is cool towards him. While Kat is heading home, a man mistakes her for a prostitute and Justin comes to her aid, takes her home and they make love. The next morning, Kat has regrets and quickly leaves the ranch. However, Mark invites Justin along to a family birthday party Kat is attending. Kat is a fighter jet pilot and puts her career first and tries her best not to fall in love with Justin. I won't give the rest of the plot away but will just say there is a plot turn and lots of story in these 161 pages.

My one criticism of Wild Nevada Ride is that some things seemed contrived. For example, the coincidence of Kat being Mark's cousin, her going along to the meeting and it just so happens she's the same woman that got into the fender bender with Justin. Then their next meeting is at a family birthday party where Kat is in attendance and Mark just happens to invite Justin. This is a good story, but had the author allowed these two to meet up again by pure chance or have them meet because of something to do with their accident, I think it would have made for a stronger story.

All the characters are likeable and believable. Justin is very sexy and you're drawn to him on the first page. I especially liked the dialogue. It’s very snappy with one-liners flying back and forth between Justin and Kat, which I felt took the sexual tension up a notch or two. In addition, the secondary characters were well developed and moved the story forward. There was just the right amount of sex scenes for the length of the book. I also enjoyed the setting—most ranch-type stories are set in Texas or Wyoming, so Nevada gave it a nice twist with the opening taking place in downtown Las Vegas.

It’s hard to kill your enemies when you fall in love with them…
In her previous life, Shizuka-no-kami was a bride-to-be when she was murdered in cold blood by her betrothed to gain her dowry. Because she perished in the snow, the Snow Goddess fosters her spirit, turning her into a yuki-onna, a snow maiden.

When the Snow Goddess’ sacred domain is threatened with never-ending battles, Shizuka is sent to entice and kill the aggressor’s overlords; only, she isn’t prepared for what awaits her. Lord Hiraoka Ichizo and his second-in-command, Tenshin Satoru, decide to introduce her to carnal pleasure and share her between them. As Shizuka is torn from the overlords’ seduction, other trouble is brewing on the horizon.

This time, if Shizuka does not heed how dangerous lust for power really is, the tightly woven treachery might kill her for good.

As a Snow Maiden, Shizuka has one job; to kill the southern lords and end the fighting with the Minokichi. What she finds instead is a dilemma between duty and love.

I really enjoyed Lady of the Snow. The characters are all well developed, with a depth that is not often found in a short story. My favorite character of the story has to be Shizuka. She is a strong and determined woman who is willing to do whatever is necessary to fulfill her duty to her Mistress. But she is soon torn between her duty to her Mistress and her love for the two Southern Lords Tensin and Ichizo.

Lord Tensin is a stubborn and strong warrior who is determined to finish the battle he started and punish the Minokichi for their wrongdoings. What he does not expect is to find himself falling in love with the strange snow pale woman who his second in command captures and brings back to camp.

Lady of the Snow is an endearing story about love, loss, revenge, and magic that will tug on your heartstrings while at the same time sending you looking for a cold shower. Filled with enchanting characters and super hot erotic scenes, this novella by Lizzie Lynn Lee is a definite must read.
