When wildling Corey Green discovers his mate is Seth Dylan, a tough as nails, dour werewolf from the McCallan clan, he thinks his life is set. However, Seth's not out and doesn't know if he wants to be. A pivotal sexual encounter between the men has Seth running scared and leaves Corey broken hearted. The men meet again nearly two years later and this time Seth's out but Corey's dark depression is about to send him behind the Veil of the Jewel Box to the fae world. Seth's determined to make up for running out on Corey, but the wildling's sunny disposition has gone so dark it may be too late for them to build a life together. With love on his side, Seth sets out return the sunshine to Corey's soul.

Once again Lex Valentine does a wonderful job in bringing her stories to life. Full of well-developed characters and ripe with emotions this story does not disappoint. This is book six in the Darkworld series and in order to understand what is going on and to get the full effect of the story I would recommend that you read the other books in this series. The roller coaster ride of emotions that Corey and Seth go through makes for a great read.

Okay, I confess -- I love Corey. I have from his first appearance in this series. He is such a sweetheart and when he loves, he loves with abandon. We see this with his actions towards Seth. Seth hmm... What can I say? He is a brooding young man who has yet to grow and be comfortable with his own self. It was wonderful to see Corey bring out the real Seth with his unconditional love. The two make a wonderful couple with a strong bond that no one can undo. The love and acceptance that Corey shows Seth is beautiful and Seth only becomes stronger because of it. Even with their mutual friend, Will thrown into the mix their love never dims. I do hope that Will can find some happiness of his own.

This book is full of intense feelings and as hot as the love scenes are, it's the love that Corey and Seth share that really shines through. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait to see whose story comes next.

She’s a real wild cat…in and out of bed.

Wild Things, Book 2

Alexandra’s brother has changed since his mate’s death, but she’s certain he’s no cattle killer. When she gets the chance to track down the real culprit, she jumps at the opportunity to clear the suspicions hovering over his head. And maybe ease her own grief.

Connor would do anything for Alex—even be her mate if she would only ask. Instead he settles for coming with her, ready to protect her from the rogue as well as human hunters. When another tracker shows up accusing them of the crime, though, there’s no stopping Alex’s instant attraction to the lone werewolf.

Dirk is on the same mission, but for a different reason: His pack owes one of the ranchers a favor. Once he finds Alex examining the latest bovine victim, though, he shifts his goals to include her mile-long legs wrapped around his waist. If only he can get past her interfering friend.

Trigger-happy hunters send them all into hiding, where huddling for warmth turns hotter than expected. The heat burns away any pretense that this is a sexual romp. It’s a destined love that a killer could destroy…unless Alex makes a heartbreaking choice.

Beverly Rae has written a taut and engrossing suspense story, filled with passion and more than a little action.

Family is important. Bryer is all that Alexandra has left in the world for family. When the pride believes that Alexandra’s brother is endangering them all with indiscriminate slaughter of cattle, Alex is the only one that believes Bryer is innocent of these crimes.

Determined to get to the truth, Alex and her best friend Conner set out to find him and also to uncover the rogue cat that is attacking cattle. Yes, Bryer changed after his mate was shot and killed by hunters, but Alex is sure her brother wouldn’t do this.

Conner has been in love with Alex for years, but she sees him as just a friend. When they cross paths with a lone wolf who is also tracking the rogue, Alex discovers feelings she never knew possible. Dirk Claxton is attracted to Alex, and wants her in a forever kind of way.

Tracking the rogue, running from hunters, and trying to fight the attraction gets to be more than they can handle.

But can they uncover the rogue and prove Alex’s brother is innocent? Can they find a life together, when both the pride and the pack object to their mating? Can they stop the rogue once and for all?

There are many great twists and surprises in this story, and plenty of heat between the characters. As always with Ms. Rae’s work, the characters are well defined and multifaceted, and the world is a wonderful mixture of realism and fantasy.

Alexandra knows in her heart that her brother is innocent. She is a strong woman, determined and independent. She feels alone, even while searching with her best friend, and it was great that she clung to the hope of innocence about her brother when all around doubted. I loved the way she went all out, both with her faith, and later, with her passion for the two men with her. She is a caring and compassionate character, and wants the best for all of them.

Conner is sweet, caring, and totally devoted to Alex. But he is smart enough to realize that he will never have her heart the way he wants it, and concedes that point with grace and dignity. Handsome and sexy, he is determined to move on once he sees the truth of Alex’s feelings.

Dirk Claxton is a lone wolf, and at first he is just out to find the rogue to help some friends. But he is smart, handsome and sexy, and I loved the interaction between Dirk and Alex and Conner. Dirk is the strong, silent type, but he is just what Alex needs at this terrible time.

This is a fast paced, suspenseful story, with twists, secrets and hot ménage action. This one gave me some laughter, and lots of tears before the end, but it was worth the experience. Do they find the rogue? Do they have their happy ever after? You’ll have to read this one to find out.

They believed the evil was destroyed. They were wrong.

A Ghost Cats story.

It took Reya Lynx a long time to learn to live with her animal half, but now she’s perfectly content as a gallery owner in Taos. She’s lived longer, loved more, even died more than most. Enough to have ceased caring what anyone thinks of her, least of all the one man she’s managed to steer clear of—until now. Her mate.

Lorenzo Craigen, leader of the southwest mountain lions, is a cop, and a damn good one. A recent string of murders seems all too familiar, and it’s not something he can exactly share with his colleagues. The last time he faced a killer like this, it was a long time ago. As in centuries. And that’s why he has sought out Reya, whether she likes it or not.

Reya can’t believe the sadistic shaman who left her haunted with brutal memories—and tore her and Lo apart—has come back from the dead. There’s only one way to find out. Bite the bullet and work with him to solve the murders. And try to resist the re-ignited heat between them…while a killer waits for the perfect moment to serve up cold, cold revenge.

Reya Lynx has put her past behind her and is now a gallery owner in Taos, New Mexico. Her ex-lover, Lorenzo Craigen is leader of the Southwest Mountain Lions and also a cop who is called in to investigate a rash of murders. Lorenzo senses it's the work of his and Reya's old enemy, Sael, and needs her help to solve the case.

From the beginning I really liked this story. I'm a fan of both paranormals and mysteries, so combine the two and I'm in reader heaven. I liked both Reya and Lorenzo, although being half animal, they came across as everyday people and also a couple with a broken past who will hopefully find their way back to one another.

The dialogue is very realistic and their past love and tragedy is slowly revealed. The author does an excellent job of not throwing too much at you at once and as you read on, you begin to understand why these two are apart. They also shared a loss (I won't give it away) which makes them very sympathetic and you end up cheering when it looks like they'll find happiness at last. Sex scenes are more seductive than graphic and placed well in the story. Setting was ideal and really added to the storyline.

Secondary characters were perfect too and the story although short (the book is 83 pages long but the actual story is just 67 pages -- there are three other short stories in this book, all part of the Ghost Cat series. All are a fun, quick read and an extra bonus to this story), was in fact long enough for me. It held my interest from the first word until the last.

Even if you're don't think you'll enjoy a paranormal romance, I'd encourage you to pick this one up. It's a fun and enjoyable read, a good mystery and I'll be looking for more books by Jaycee Clark.

Experience has taught forty-year-old Jessica Summers how to manage and diffuse even the toughest situation, but when she’s assigned to protect a multi-millionaire game designer everything changes. The hot, young entrepreneur with sex on his mind becomes the one thing Jess can’t control. Damned irritating brat.

Petite and sassy, Jess teases Sean McCloud’s sense of humor and ignites emotions he’s repressed for too long. He doesn’t see the twelve year age difference as an issue. His heart and body want her plain and simple. Sean just has to get past her hang ups, survive a pirate attack at sea, and convince his sexy bodyguard to surrender. What could be easier?

If a reader is in the mood for a sensual seduction that makes their breath hitch and a story with plenty of hot beach action and bad guys to shake things up, then this book has it all.

Ms. Dale has written a tale that completely enchanted me because her characters are so likable and the romance has such heart. It follows a slightly older woman who has a grown daughter, an idiot of an ex-husband and a really cool career. Jess is capable, has a smart mouth, a sharp sense of humor and underneath all of that toughness and bravado is actually a very insecure woman. She has confidence in her abilities in her job and as a mother but as a woman, it’s a whole other ball of wax. Her ex-husband did a job on her and those lessons haunt her through this story. Jess is vulnerable because she needs and has wants and desires but doesn’t trust that she could possibly instill those same feelings in someone else. I think her character can touch a reader because Ms. Dale uses Jess’ internal dialogue as a way for a reader to get to know the real woman inside. I got a feel for her fears and her tentative reaching out while all the while wondering when, not if, she’ll get burned. When she finally starts to let go, learns to trust and give back to the man who inspires her to reach heights she never dreamed of, it’s really emotional. The relationship is one step forward, two steps back for Jess because she’s not only fighting her internal demons but the overt problem of her being much older than Sean, the hero.

Sean is not a shallow and spoiled rich man. At first I was lead to believe that because first impressions led me there. But as the story unfolds, the hero is revealed as a victim of success. He’s a hard worker and has a great work ethic and makes no apologies for enjoying the fruits of his labor. I adore the fact that he shared it with his mom and treats her with respect and love. That same success cost him his emotional vulnerability making him distrustful especially of women his age or younger. His experience made him grow up fast and even made him a bit jaded. It was a delight to see him open up and find joy and spontaneity when he’s with Jess. He was a bit sensitive in the beginning because for him, it’s not age that is the stumbling block but the money from his success. I got the biggest kick out of how Jess treated him and how he gave it right back. Never in a million years would I have ever believed that being called “grandma” could be so sexy and turn into a cheeky endearment. The verbal dialogue between Sean and Jess produced many giggles or just outright sighs because when he wants to be, Sean is incredibly romantic. Then again, when he wants to be lusty and forceful, Ms. Dale did a great job of making the pages steam. What fun!

The external conflict was light yet serious. It was handled quite well with a good grip on suspense and a trick twist sure to please readers who like a bit of exciting drama to keep the juices flowing. The writing made me believe that Jess is a capable body guard and I enjoyed with relish her take-charge actions – especially her skills with a knife or flipping those guys around. One of the villains was actually foreshadowed in the story and I didn’t pick up on it until after the reveal. It was one of those things I felt I should have figured out but didn’t. Very clever of Ms. Dale.

Surrender at Sea is a wonderful romance that touched my heart, my funny bone and satisfied my need for a happily ever after; one that left me grinning from ear to ear. Leave it to Sean and Jess to end it their way, with sauce and giggles. Ms. Dale has a winner on her hands with this one and it’s a book I can’t wait to tell all my friends about.

Kyler’s fantasy is to be bound, gagged and forced to submit…a dark submission.

In the middle of the night, two men, Masters, enter his home, his room…and his bed. And they are about to make his fantasy reality. Only he doesn’t know who they are.

Behind the slave hood, it doesn’t matter that in his mind and heart he would never cheat on his partner, Brian. His responses reveal just how much he aches for the pain and pleasure of BDSM. But in surrendering he’ll betray his lover because Brian could never be his Master, would never understand his submissive needs.

Or does Brian have secrets of his own?

If only someone would break into my house and force pleasure on me. They don’t want money or goods just Kyler’s sweet rump. Kyler doesn’t want to cheat on his lover Brian, but who wouldn’t get excited over two Dom’s wanting him to please him?

This story was very short so I didn’t really get a sense of who the characters were but I did get the feeling that they both cared deeply for one another. Kyler had not been able to embrace his dark desires because he assumed that Brian would not approve. What Kyler did not realize is that Brian wanted Kyler’s pleasure as well as his own. Then two Dom’s break into the apartment. What are these boys to do?

I think the secrecy presented at the beginning of this story gives it an exciting little twist. Kyler has no idea who these two guys are in his room but he quickly recognizes one thing -- they want more than just a few dollars. They want his body and he is helpless to do anything about it. These two strangers also awake something inside of him he had been trying to hide and not knowing who they are added to his arousal. As a reader I was both appalled and exhilarated all at once so I can imagine how Kyler felt.

I have included spanking as a tag for this story, but it's really whipping. This whipping does not draw blood but it is part of the foreplay. So if whipping is not necessarily your kink, you may want to skip past that part. Also I want to clarify that this is a forced seduction scene not a rape scene. When I read the blurb and started the story I was a little worried that the scene would start as rape prior to Kyler consenting to his assailants but that is not the case.

It is a shame this is such a short story because with the storyline he had the potential to be a great full length story. I also think the author left enough room for them to create a follow-up full length story so hopefully we will see that in the future. In the meantime enjoy this quickly just as I did.

A fact that scares the hell out of her. Enough that she seeks solace at Minx, a club that caters to the more carnal pleasures.

After recovering from a bull ride gone wrong, Lance Wright is ready to move forward and he's set his sights on Melanie. Her temper tells him all he needs to know about the passion he'd find in her bed. The wildcat fights him every step of the way, but she's in for a surprise. The harder Melanie bucks, the more Lance wants to ride.

It is Christmas Eve, and in an effort to fend off her loneliness, Melanie Brantley pays a visit to her favorite sex club, Minx. Will the chance encounter with her mystery man cause her to change her views on love?

Melanie Brantley and Lance Wright have been fighting against their mutual attraction for two long years. The constant bickering and fighting between the two of them hides intense feelings of lust and love. When Lance’s latest attempt to make Melanie jealous pushes her to Minx, she spends an incredibly sensual night with an unknown lover. Will a little help from their well meaning friends finally bring these two stubborn lovers together?

The Harder They Buck by Sayde Grace is a well written quick read. Melanie and Lance are likable, fully developed characters whose past history is fraught with sexual tension. Lance and Melanie’s mutual friends and family are unwavering in their advice and attempts to convince the two of them to admit their feelings for one another. Ms. Grace’s inventive use of the sex club Minx acts as a catalyst to force a much needed change in Melanie and Lance’s relationship.

The Harder They Buck is a sinfully sexy addition to the Cowboy Kink series. I highly recommend reading Ms. Grace’s previous book in this series, Riding Double.

A gay-ish submissive and a very gay dominant. Gay Pride rallies have never been so much fun.

When Langford sees Tayton lurking in the rain opposite a gay pride rally, he couldn’t be more thrilled that the cute guy from the sandwich shop is finally prepared to come out of the closet.

Tayton isn’t so sure he’s all that ready to come out. Technically, he’s not even sure he’s entirely gay—even if he has had a crush on Langford for months.

Can a man who’s not even sure he’s gay really find happiness with a man who’s never been in the closet?

I could have read about Tayton and Langford for days and still not been tired of this couple -- this story was just too short!

Tayton’s naive approach to accepting that he is gay is memorable. He isn’t quite gay just gayish. It is a part of him he hadn’t discovered until he met Langford. I have a feeling Langford is sexy enough to make any gayish man realize his hidden feelings. I love that Tayton may not be able to admit he is gay just yet but he is willing to admit his feeling for Langford enough to see if that lifestyle is right for him. Tayton also discovers that being gayish is not only tempting but orgasmically fun.

Tayton is lucky he fell for the right dom. Langford has an uncanny ability to allow Tayton just enough freedom to make important decisions yet still maintain the dominate position. If I found a Dom like him I would be more than willing to embrace the BDSM world. With a toy box of pleasure I am sure the training would be exciting. Langford only wants what is best for Tayton which makes his character and the plot fun to read.

Reading this story had me thinking of the Orbits commercial “Dirty mouth” and no I don’t mean their language. Tayton has a hidden sex kitten in him that just won’t stop purring when Langford is around. Once he decides he wants all of Langford he really jumps in head first. Since he enjoyed the sex so much I had no option but to enjoy it with him. I do have one question... where can I learn Langfords technique? Because if he is giving classes I need to sign up or at least see a demonstration.

If you are looking for a great story with some light BDSM look no further because Gayish will leave you damply satisfied.

A fireman who leaves his life to chance, and a toy designer desperate to clear her name, heat up a small island off the coast of Maine before finding themselves wrapped up in a life or death mystery.

Tristan Devon has won the State of Maine Lottery and gets to live on Bear Island for a month all by himself. No woman, no more one night stands, it’s perfect for this firefighter until he discovers toy developer Erin Kimball just happens to be staying in the house too.

Although this is a plot I’ve seen many times, the characters were unique enough to make it a fresh read for me. I liked Erin and especially liked Tristan, who we learn has somewhat of a tragic past and is dealing with some guilt. The dialogue is good and you feel the attraction between these two people immediately. There are lots of fun verbal exchanges and the setting, being so remote, is fun too and somewhat seductive.

Sex scenes are well placed and the author did a good job with packing a lot of story in this short read. Although lots of heroes in books are firefighters, Tristan isn’t your typical alpha male which made for a change of pace. I also like the idea that the author used toy developer as the career for the heroine and that she’s being sued over one of her products. I think it gave the plot a nice twist.

If you enjoy an island setting, a hot romance and have about an hour to spare, this is one for you.

Hunter Dunlap, co-owner of Everlasting Love, wants nothing to do with romance since his wife left him for his assistant—a woman. His new assistant, Ronni Strickland, is perfect with her big glasses and strict appearance. She’s clearly not his type.

On Valentine’s Day, while checking out a resort for the company, Hunter discovers he and Ronni are booked into a section called Bondage Bay. Suddenly he’s looking at his assistant with new eyes—and with a burning need to discover what she’s hiding under that all-business exterior.

Admit it. How many of us have had the fantasy of working for a gorgeous boss and having him fall in love with us?

Ronni has worked for Hunter Dunlap for months now but both have kept it professional. Then Hunter is given a push by his partner to see Ronni as a woman. Everyone including Ronni can see how gorgeous Hunter is yet she thinks she is out of his league and he has never showed any interest in her at all as a woman. What will happen when he does?

This story pulled me right in from the beginning. Ronni is a beautiful woman inside and out. She does not flaunt her body and looks at work, preferring to be comfortable and professional rather than look as if she were on a runway. Hunter has closed himself off from love ever since his divorce. Both Hunter and Ronni are scared to let anyone in but together they find love in one another’s arms. I loved Ronni from the start she's a smart and feisty woman who is not scared to try for what she wants. Hunter is a wonderful man who has been hurt but is willing to try again. Watching the relationship blossom between Ronni and Hunter was a good read.

Diamond Assets is a wonderful story about finding true love in the last place you look. It is full of love and emotions and realistic characters that grab hold and don't let go. I absolutley enjoyed watching Ronni and Hunter find the love that they both deserve and think you will, too.

A two story collection of hot couples who decide to make things even hotter by putting a man in the middle.

In Some Things, a friend of Joe's stirs the pot and puts Zoe in a corner. "There are some things you simply don’t ask for. I know that. And I had done a damn fine job of keeping this particular thought-wish-dream to myself. Until that jackass, Drake, undid it all."

Zoe ends up confessing a long-held fantasy of seeing her husband with another man while he's with her. What Zoe is not expecting after spilling the beans is that Joe will do whatever he can to make sure she gets what she wants.

In Hidey Hole, a drawer riddled piece of furniture shows Jill a glimpse of Peter's past in a note. Now that we’re moving, I want you to know that you mean so much to me. And when I’m lonely or sad, I will always think of us together. How you smelled, how you touched me, what you tasted like...

Jill pieces together her husband's adolescent experimentation and wonders (aloud) if he might just do it again. But this time for her. Lucky for Jill, Peter's all about pleasing his wife.

Sometimes fantasies should be spoken aloud, and sometimes not. In the case of Some Things, true love makes fantasy reality when a wife tells her husband her ultimate dream come true and admits that it isn’t watching porn movies where the man has all the fun. Go figure!

Though Zoe tries to hide her true fantasy about her husband, Joe, having sex with her while another man has sex with him, he makes her tell him what she truly wants, stunned with the results. To prove how much he loves her, he brings a male friend home to do just that.

After making it clear that Joe won’t allow his friend to touch Zoe, he allows anal sex while he makes love to his wife and is pleased with the results. After the experience, the couple’s relationship becomes closer and they decide to do it again someday, but not every day.

Zoe’s character shows honest love for her husband while thrilled by the erotic act of trust, while Joe proves that he’ll do anything for his wife in an act of unconditional love. Their friend is warm, caring, and shows concern for Joe’s welfare during the session.

The story is sweet and moving, offering a chance to explore intimacy in a new light.

In Hidey Hole, we find that the deepest hidden secrets can bring amazing results when a wife discovers a love note written to her husband when he was in his teens, written by another male. She’s intrigued, not disgusted by the find and tries to hide her knowledge of his experience from him, yet he’s too in tune with her and knows she’s keeping something from him.

When Peter finally gets Jill to fess up, she tells him of her secret desire to watch him have sex with a man while she watches. To her surprise and delight, he agrees and contacts his ex-lover who joins them for dinner. Peter asks the man if he’d consider it and they are off to the bedroom.

While Jill watches the men, she pleasures herself which provides a voyeuristic touch to the experience that leaves all of them panting. In the end (pun intended), the trio plan on having more interludes as all secrets from the hidey holes are revealed.

The story was lighthearted and fun, while one could only imagine the free-thinking attitudes of the lovers. Out of the darkest places can come the brightest light.

These two tales deserve four cherries though there wasn’t a cherry to be had in either of them.

Last call? She’ll take a double. Straight up, please…

From the Black and White Collection

For six years, widow Grace Wright’s days have been filled as a single working mother. Now, with her daughter graduating, her nest is yawning before her, wide and empty. And so is the upcoming weekend. Invited out by her coworkers, she decides it’s time to turn that corner and get on with her life.

Jamie’s had his eye on Grace for years, but it never seemed the right time to approach her. Tonight, something’s different. The sexual signals she’s giving off are unmistakable—and he’s not the only man in the bar who’s noticed. His best friend, Trey, is breaking a sweat just looking at the delectable English teacher.

The two men make her the offer of a lifetime, and Grace doesn’t hesitate. For one night, Jamie and Trey indulge her every desire, every fantasy, every naughty craving. In the morning Trey is gone with the wind, but Jamie is holding on to every moment as if he never wants to let go. Leaving her wondering if another chance at forever is too much to ask…

If I didn’t lust after a PE teacher before I am definitely doing so now!

Grace Wright has been all about raising her child since her husband passed away six years ago. What is she to do when her daughter goes off to college leaving her an empty nest in her forties? Believing she's too old to give into her desires, she is surprised when her two best friends make a proposition: one night of hot as you can get love between the sheets. When Jamie tells her one night isn’t enough for him can she come to terms with the age difference?

Jaime has known Grace for years, and as time has passed he’s become attracted to her. Knowing that the age difference was too much for her, he holds back. But when his friend Trey starts putting the moves on her, Jamie can’t help but be possessive. So when his friend suggest a one night threesome he can barely believe how much it turns him on. Happy hour has just became a whole lot steamer and exciting.

I absolutely positively loved this book. I found myself enjoying Grace and her sense of humor -- always joking about the little things to keep things light. The scene of her and Trey dancing was great, what a great song! I didn’t know I could laugh so hard in a sex scene but, yes, I sure did. The toys are hidden in a strange place (I would not be able to sleep with all that under my mattress) but I enjoyed reading what they did with them.

Most of all I loved the ending. Grace really deserved her happy ever after -- I couldn’t imagine going that long without sex or love. I can’t wait to read more of this series because I even fell for the secondary characters. The more I read the more I want which is a great thing, so hopefully for us readers, Ms. Carr is not done writing this wonderful series. I have read some pretty steamy stuff but Ms. Carr is such an amazing writer, she's become an auto-buy for me.  Bet she will be for you, too.

One woman in search of passion

Miss Cecilia Hastings has achieved what every young lady hopes for during her first London season...in duplicate! She's caught the eye of not one but two of England's most eligible bachelors. Both Jeremy Battersley, Earl of Henley, and Richard Huxley, Duke of Wexford, are handsome, wealthy and kind, the epitome of proper gentlemen. But Cecilia doesn't want proper, she wants passion. So she issues a challenge to her suitors: a kiss, so that she may choose between them.

Two men in love with the same woman

Friends since childhood, and compatriots on the battlefields of Spain, Jeremy and Richard have found that falling for the same woman has set them at odds and risks destroying their friendship forever. But a surprising invitation to a late-night garden tryst soon sets them on a course that neither of them could have anticipated. And these gentlemen quickly discover that love can take many forms...

The Debutante's Dilemma by Elyse Mady combined historical elegance with scenes hot enough to satisfy modern sensibilities. A very satisfying read.

This story is told with an old-fashioned presentation, a style reminiscent of the era in which it is set (early 19th century.) It's in narrative form, telling, so to speak, setting a certain mood of yesteryear for the reader, and creates a charming feeling despite the distance it necessarily encompasses (until the reader gets to the “hot” scene, which draws one in closely and allows for a sexy sense of empathy.)

The language and setting details are so well done, a reader can get lost in that world.

Miss Cecelia Hastings is likeable because she admires a man for his actions and not so much for his family and money etc. She has “…no cravings for the usual mundane or quotidian aspirations.” She wants to marry for passion, making her more relatable to the modern-day woman in that regard.

Two equally great men want to marry her, and she has little time to decide between them. In a panic, she comes up with a wild plan to help her make her most difficult decision.

Richard Huxley is a duke, and his closest friend, Jeremy Battersley, is an earl. For a time, the fact that they both want Cecelia so badly comes between them, breaking up a friendship that goes back many years. This is a sad situation, and both men ponder this. I found their realizations quite interesting. Can their friendship possibly overcome this impossible situation? And if so, how?

The time draws near for Cecelia to make a decision. I just had to know who she was going to choose, the suspense being so well written. More is at stake than just her future marriage. Her gutsy decision to do something crazy could make her dreams come true or lose her everything. The stakes are high…but she goes for it.

I really enjoyed this exciting little story. The end was a bit vague, a little too vague, but I figured it out upon careful reading. For a hot historical, don't pass up The Debutante's Dilemma.
