All she wants is a one-night stand. But when he discovers that she's his mate, he won't stop until he claims her as his forever.
Cat shifter Violet Cross has a penchant for trouble. When she breaks up with her fiancé, Mac, and seeks some guilt-free, sweaty, hot sex at the local bar but ends up waking up the next morning married, Violet thinks she has hit an all-time low. Especially when she finds out the man she’s married is a dragon prince from the al’Tarakh throne; a VIP passenger she must escort to the D’Keghan system.
Levy Frye has been looking for his future queen for quite some time. When he sees the green-eyed feisty cat innocently proposing a one-night stand, he can’t simply let Violet slip away. He agrees on a quickie, but instead he finds his true soul mate. Levy vows to make Violet his forever. The tricky part is convincing the stubborn cat they belong together.
When lust and destiny collide, a weeklong game of cat-and-dragon hide-and-seek at Orient Fevre might prove to be the most feverish encounter of all.
What's a girl gotta do to have a simple one-night stand? Unbeknownst to Violet, it includes marrying the one destined to be your mate. The scene of the crime started in a bar known as the Howling Owl. Seemed like as good a place as any to get a little drunk and find a willing man. It was a basic sex for money concept and the man Violet approached was definitely worth every penny... or in this case, credit.
Levy couldn't help but watch Violet from the moment he saw her in the bar, but after her proposition he couldn't help but stare at her in surprise. Why in the world would someone as beautiful as Violet feel the need to proposition anyone for sex in the first place? More than that, she had no idea what she was about to get herself into with him.
Violet's reasoning for wanting the one-night stand may not have been a sound reason, although understandable. Violet's reasoning for wanting to keep the one-night stand anonymous seemed like a good idea in the beginning, until he started withholding her sexual completion in exchange for her saying, and therefore knowing his name. After the two made their sexual intentions with each other known and the fun began, it was a little like the fairytale Rumpelstiltskin only a little backwards. In this version, Rumpelstiltskin wants the lady to know his name and say it three times. It's obvious this drunken one-night stand is headed for something more than just a hangover in the morning.
This is my first read by Lizzie Lynn Lee and honestly I wasn't expecting as much out of it other than a good time myself, much like Violet. I was surprised with the action and twists in the plot. Violet and Levy's sexual encounters are erotic beyond belief but in the most delicious ways. The cover alone will tell the reader that this is a Sci-Fi but with a touch of Paranormal and the luxuries of chic hotels, hover-limos, and a ball requiring formal wear. I'd like to point out that the scene of the ball is by far my favorite scene involving what's known as a Bullet, but not the kind you might think. Violet is definitely an Alpha female and a cat shifter, so she's met her match with crown prince Levy who is a dragon shifter and won't take no for answer.
If you haven't had the opportunity to introduce your reading taste-buds to Ms. Lee, might I suggest this scrumptious dish known as Orient Fevre, but be warned it will leave you looking for seconds.
