A good car thief needs sixty seconds, but grand theft heart might take even less time than that.
Freedom and trust; opposite sides of the same coin that could give expert car thief, Marky, the win he's looking for. Little does he know escaping his gang ties will lead him through heartbreak and into cuffs he hadn't even thought to watch out for.
Now he can trust the powerful man who wants to help, or he can keep running. It all depends on how much he values his freedom, and whether or not Roland has managed the impossible; hijacking Marky's carefully guarded heart.
Leaving his gang for a BDSM club may not be the kind of escape Marky had in mind. Marky’s trying to go straight after time with a street gang. He and his best friend steal a car for their last hurrah but the heist ends bloody with Marky on the run. He hides in a local BDSM club, which may be more than this car thief can handle. The club owner takes an interest in Marky though, one Marky’s not sure if he likes or not.
Hotwired Heart is a quick, enjoyable short story. There’s not much to it but the author knows how to pack a punch. Marky is a young car thief, surviving in the brutal gang atmosphere. He wants out though and a better life, which he may have just have with club owner, Roll. The sexual tension and chemistry between the two offers a sexy and explosive finish. The two characters spark off each other and make a steamy relationship against the gritty backdrop of violence and crime.
The writing is very good and fast paced. The characters are interesting and three dimensional with a lot of possibilities for future titles. I’m excited to see where the stories go and with whom. There are numerous secondary characters that want attention so you don’t want to miss this first book in the series. Marky and Roland are romantic, sweet, sexy, hot, and just a little kinky. Not too much to scare any readers but just enough to add spice to the sex.
As the first book in a new series this quick, entertaining short story definitely satisfies. Fans of the author and those new to her writing should equally enjoy Hotwired Heart and it is easily worth the few bucks. Not to mention with the hottie on the cover, you can’t go wrong.
