While at a party to celebrate his brother's return home, Trey Donovan smells his mate in the crowd. Addison Cambell is a werewolf from the local pack. Still hanging on to his ex-boyfriend, Addison isn't ready to let go and accept Trey into his heart.

After realizing his new mate still holds a torch for his ex, Trey leaves with a broken heart and decides to move on and start a new life without Addison. But Trey gets more than he bargained for when furniture shopping for his new house. He meets his other mate, Jasper Knight. Still mending from Addison's rejection, he decides to take things slow.

Can Trey get over his past heartbreak and move on in the relationship with his new mate, or will Trey imitate Addison by allowing past hurt to dictate his new relationship with Jasper?

Trey Donovan is a good guy, loving, caring and protective of his family. To most people he is everything a person could want in a partner. So when he stumbles across one of his fated mates, it’s only natural for us as the reader to want only the best for him. Someone as sweet as Trey deserves only the best.

Addison at first appearance seems to be an attractive and confident man. We soon discover this isn’t the case. Addison has suffered a bad break up prior to meeting Trey that has left him with no self confidence at all. In the attempt to keep Trey happy Addison pushes his mate away due to some misguided advice from an outside source. I really wanted to hate Addison but I later find out the reasoning behind his actions and my heart went out to this character.

Reeling from heartbreak Trey moves on with his life the best he can when the unexpected happens. While out on a shopping trip he happens upon his second mate, Jasper Knight. Ms. Flynn wrote a very strong character with Jasper. Jasper is everything Addison wasn’t, loving, gentle and with the only goal to put Trey first above all else.

Just when I thought Trey was going to get his happy ending, several unexpected events occur. Some bad, some good, some that are just meant to be. Ms. Flynn wrote a tough love story with Here Little Kitty. She shows us just because something is fated to be doesn’t always mean it’s meant to be. In every relationship there are ups and downs but if, as a couple, you can work through your differences anything is possible.

The only thing I didn’t like about this story is like all good things it had to come to an end.

This was an excellent read. If you like paranormal, shifter stories with sexy men and steamy erotic love scenes this book is for you. Joyee Flynn did not disappoint with this second story in the Purrfect Mates series. I completely recommend this book and look forward to the next installment to this series.
