Callie Sheppard went wild once in her life, sharing a perfect weekend with two men she could never forget but thought she would never see again. Nathan Wright and Zane Hollister were two DEA agents who needed a decadent weekend before going on a long, undercover assignment to take down an outlaw biker gang.
Six years later, Callie has to break in a new Sheriff after Rye Harper walked out on the job. But her heart skips a beat when Nate walks through the door in his new uniform. Nate and Zane have come to Bliss, Colorado, to heal. Their cover is blown, and while the Barbarians are almost put out of business, Zane pays a horrible price.
The boys are determined to win back Callie’s broken heart. But when the Barbarians return with revenge in mind, they’ll need to save her before they can claim her.
One weekend with the two sexy cowboys should have been all she needed but Callie realized, six years later, when Nate and Zane walked into her town, that only a lifetime with both men would ever be enough.
Welcome back to Bliss, Colorado, the wonderfully quirky town in the mountains of Colorado that is home to starving artists, conspiracy theorists, Vegan protestors, and of course a nudist colony. In Ms. Oaks first introduction to Bliss we met brothers Rye and Max Harper and Rachel, who is now their wife. While we get to visit with the Harpers a bit more in Two To Love the main focus in this story is Callie Sheppard and the two men who left an indelible mark on her life and her heart six years prior.
I gobbled up the first book in the Nights in Bliss series but I think I connected more with Two To Love. There is so much emotion in this novel. Nate and Zane have lived a lifetime in the six years since they left Callie in their hotel room after a weekend she’s never forgotten. As undercover DEA agents they had to give up their life outside the biker gang they were attempting to take down and that meant forgoing to chance of a lifetime with Callie. When fate brings them all together in Bliss, will Callie be able to forgive them for leaving with barely a note, will Nate be able to forgive himself for failing Zane and will Zane be able to move past the nightmares of the Barbarians? You won’t want to miss their story!!
Ms. Oak has an amazing voice for ménage relationships. I can only imagine the difficulty in writing the incredibly hot scenes when it only involves one man and woman much less throwing in a whole other body. With Ms. Oak’s writing you never feel that you lose the chemistry or the plot for the sake of the scene.
As I mentioned before, Two To Love is the follow-up to Three To Ride, but it is very much a stand alone book. Although, after you read one I can’t imagine not wanting to read the other. If you have enjoyed the first two books in the Nights In Bliss series like I have you’ll be happy to hear that there is one more book planned for Stephen and Jennifer called One To Keep! This reviewer will be on pins and needles waiting!!
