One part lover-running-scared plus one part sexy-Italian-chocolatier equals the perfect Valentine’s Day recipe for love.

For as long as the doors to Chocolate Dreams have been open, Joel Raner has been stopping every night on his way home from work to get his ritual treat. They're always ready when he gets there and always handed over by the chef himself.

Chocolatier Aaron Neilson takes the time out of his day to talk to the handsome accountant, not for the sake of his business, but because the more he gets to know Joel… the deeper Aaron falls in love. When the Lovers’ Holiday rolls around, Aaron decides it’s time to make his move.

Will Joel see the love waiting right in front of him or will Cupid’s arrow miss this Valentine’s Day?

Joel Raner is your typical workaholic working nine to five. The only highlight of his day is going to his favorite bakery, Chocolate Dreams. He goes there for his daily dose of truffles but also for the sexy eye candy, Aaron Gidano.

Aaron is the chef and owner of Chocolate Dreams. He’s a confident, strong man and he is completely smitten with Joel. Joel is unaware of Aaron’s attraction towards him and thinks he doesn’t have a shot with the gorgeous chef. Little does Joel no, Aaron loves a good challenge.

Joel is jaded by love due to a past relationship that ended badly. His fears of the past start to bleed over into the future he could possibly have with Aaron. Aaron doesn’t like feeling he’s pushing Joel, but life’s to short to let love slip away.

I really love the character of Aaron. He’s a take charge kind of guy who won’t give up on the one person he wants. Who wouldn’t want a man like that? Joel isn’t as strong as Aaron but being burned by love can do that to a person. This story to me was very realistic on how we as people get caught up in our heads to much and in the process can miss out on the good things in life.

This was an excellent read. It’s a short story, so I found it amazing how well Ms. Woods wove a beautiful love story between these two characters. This story has hope, fear, love, and happiness all the ingredients for a great love story. This is a definite must read!
