Liberal talk show host Valentine Cross’ and police detective Jack Sutton’s ideological differences don’t get in the way of down-and-dirty, up-against-the-wall sex. In a relationship that consists only of sex and fighting, the conflagration seems worth it. Until Jack issues an ultimatum that Val fears will destroy them both.

Six months after walking out of her life because she refused to marry him, Jack receives an assignment that sends him right back into the fire. Val might be hiding his suspect and she’s in danger. Oh yeah, there’s also the little problem of all the mind-blowing sex with his ex getting in the way of solving the crime.

Liberal talk show host Valentine Cross and police detective Jake Sutton have a history… they enjoyed great sex but their different views on certain issues drove them apart. Now six months later they’re back in each other’s lives when Jack thinks Val is hiding his suspect.

Sometimes finding an erotic romance with anything besides lots of sex scenes strung together is tough, so I’m glad I got to read this story. It actually has a plot and a suspenseful one at that.

Jack is sexy and you hope that he and Val can put aside their differences so they can enjoy what you know will be a great future for them.

The sex scenes are hot and placed in just the right spots in this story. Secondary characters add their own color too. Dialogue is snappy and the pacing fast. The author did a great job with creating three dimensional characters which you know are right for one another from the first time you meet them in this story.

The story is a quick read for the upcoming summer reading season.
