After one night of passion, werewolf Charity Darinn flees the arms of her lover. For months she's believed her mate had fallen in battle at the hands of a demon, only to discover he is not only alive, but also belongs to another. Yet, she vows to cherish the child they have created. On her own.

But her mate has other ideas. The vow taken as a Grigori warrior to protect all of mankind only seems more pivotal when it involves the female who completes his soul. With psychotic werewolves on the loose and the traitor who just happened to have been his best friend targeting all the Grigori, he will desperately search for the mate who slipped from his bed in the middle of the night. And he won't rest until she is back where she belongs, safe in his arms.

Charity cannot believe her luck, good and bad. After months of thinking that her mate has been killed she finds that he is not only alive but has chosen another Hope as his new mate. How could she miss him being right under nose? Charity can't even think of how to compete against that, but then fate has other plans.

A split second choice to help her friend Zeke brings Charity face to face with the rest of the Grigori brethren including her mate Kash. Once there the chaos begins. Can Kash and Charity find their happy ever after or will misunderstandings keep them apart forever?

This story begins with a bang and continues from there. I enjoyed seeing Charity and Kash’s story play out. Charity is a great woman. She deals with everything that is thrown at her with dignity and class. Even when she is making a wrong choice it is done with love and those that she cares about in mind. Her mate, Kash and especially her child are always foremost in her mind.

Kash is a wonderful man. He endeared himself to me in this story. He will stop at nothing to get and keep his mate and when he is wrong he is man enough to say so as well as try to make amends. The two make a great couple; both are strong and independent, and together they are a force to be reckoned with.

Charity Received is an emotional read. Be ready to lose your heart when you read this book. Madelyn Ford knows how to pull you in to her magical world filled with paranormal characters and keep you there. I enjoyed this story and cannot wait to see which of the Grigori will be the next to find their mate.
