Adrian Beck lost everything, including his passion for designing beautiful buildings, after 9/11. Self-imposed exile on Long Caye Island gives him the sanctuary he needs to live a simple, uncomplicated life.
Isabelle Clemet, of Clemet Hotels, is ready to rebuild after Katrina. She wants the best to design her new project on the coast in Biloxi, Mississippi. She wants Adrian.
Can an erotic late-night encounter on a secluded beach help a lonely architect rediscover his lost passion?
Adrian Beck lost everything during 9/11, including his love of design. Isabelle Clemet is ready to rebuild after Katrina and has only one designer in mind.
This story packs a lot into very few pages. The author does a top notch job at diving in and setting the scene from the first few sentences. A moonlight beach, deserted island…what could be more romantic? In this case a naked woman emerging from the ocean.
We know she’s the heroine from the minute she meets Adrian, we realize she has ulterior motives but that's what makes it all the more exciting to read. The sex is as erotic as the setting and these two characters are very likeable. The dialogue and descriptive passages were nicely balanced in this short read.
At the end of the story there’s a twist of sorts, well, we know what it is, but Adrian doesn’t and I think that’s what I liked most about this story.
Well-written, well-plotted with plenty of heat, Beautiful Storm would make a great addition to anyone's TBR list.
