Middle brother Diego Lobos has everything he needs. Friends, family, a business, even a great truck, yet there's always a hole inside him that won't be filled. When cool, controlled Victoria Talbot brings in a badly stained dress, he knows she's the one to fill that space. Can he trust her with his secrets if she hides her own?
Humor, hot lovin' and a smokin' wolf shifter. You so want to read this book.
When I found this book, I found a great author and, yeah, I'm nabbing all of this author's back list. Belinda McBride managed to grab my attention not just within the first page, but in the first paragraph. Her writing flows. I laughed, cried, and wanted more. I felt like I was right there with Diego and Victoria and by the last page, it was like reading about my closest friends.
I loved both main characters. Diego is damaged because he feels like he's never enough. He's not ready to accept what he is and the struggle makes the book an emotional read. He has fantastic chemistry with Victoria. Their banter had me in stitches. He gives her a run for her money and it's fun to read. And then there's Victoria. She's a piece of work and it's great. She never expected to find Diego and once she gets close to him...talk about sparks! Ms. McBride writes about the build-up of the relationship so well I felt like I was part of it.
If you're wanting a book that's loaded with heart and heat, you need to read this book. It's going on my keeper shelf.
