Trust isn’t easy when the ones you want most are out to get you.
Ten years after she ran away from Earth, Lou Campbell is one job—just one more collar—away from earning enough credits to go home. All she has to do is lure Sam Dawson within range of her handcuffs with the promise of fast, hard sex. Easy.
Once she gets him there, keeping her own hands off him isn’t so easy.
Sam’s committed his share of sins, but he’s not guilty of selling secrets. Before he can convince the sexiest bounty hunter he’s ever seen that he’s been betrayed, all hell breaks loose. And he’s on the run with a false accusation on his hands—and a bleeding woman in his arms.
Alone in her boss’s safe house, Lou and Dawson’s simmering attraction explodes into full-blown fireworks.
When Jared Flores walks in on his best hunter and ex-lover in bed together, the surprise is mutual. Worse, the need he has long felt for both of them overrides his better judgment. After the fists fly, the sparks catch fire into a budding three-way romance.
Then Sam disappears, leaving Jared and Lou in a race against time to not only retrieve their lover, but save his life.
Men! “...get their dick interested and you could lead them to hell and back—and they would beg for more.” Lou is kind of cynical when it comes to men which made her stand out in the first part of the book as a unlikely heroine. It sure added a yummy new variation to romance.
I found the plot to be fantastic and well thought out with a lot of heat and sweet romance that kept me captivated until the end. Combine two alpha males who had been lovers in their youth, and a strong and determined woman who lived through hell as a teenager to become a top notch bounty hunter, and I ended up reading a unique and very heated love story.
The story takes place on another world called Arcadia. There is not a lot of build up or detail about the place only that it was where you could buy anything if you had the money, and crime was overlooked. This short story's plot was laid out so it was easy to follow. It didn't leave me with a feeling of missing out on important information along the way.
Lou (Louella) Campbell, the heroine, has only one goal when she set out to find and bring in Sam Dawson. When she met him face to face those goals fell along the road side. I thought it was neat watching her well thought out plans fall apart in the face of one hot man. When Lou’s boss, Jared Flores, finds his ex-lover Sam in bed with Lou things really heat up.
I couldn’t help but be fond of all three of the characters as they became entangled in a threesome. I admired how they worked together in and out of bed. I was impressed at how entertaining the book was especially with the cute twist to the ménage theme. The Last Detail is one story I will definitely be keeping in my library to read again.
