Vampires Rick and Maddox have seen more Christmases than anyone should be subjected to, but their ladies, Julia and Madeline respectively, want at least a small celebration of the holiday this year. As a gift, Rick hopes to present Julia with a special aphrodisiac for a truly memorable holiday. The trouble starts when the gift turns out to be a super aphrodisiac that causes Julia to be in an insatiable state of arousal. Was the gift a mistake or a trap? Can Maddox and Madeline find an antidote? Can Rick keep up until they do?

Vampires Rick and Maddox are giving their ladies, Julia and Madeline, a Christmas to remember.

When Rick gifts Julia with what he believes is a safe and gentle aphrodisiac, things go bad quickly. It would seem that his gift was tampered with, causing an insatiable hunger in Julia, one that Rick, even with his vampiric endurance will be hard pressed to satisfy. Can Maddox and Madeline find out what happened, and find a way to help before Rick runs out of energy? Can they keep Julia safe while they seek an antidote? And will they find out who is behind this before it is too late?

There is a lot happening in this short story; sex, danger and surprises all abound here. I like the idea that, in Isabella Jordan’s supernatural world, vampires like Rick can love lycans like Julia. This is hot on so many different levels, I thought it would melt the screen on my reader.

Julia is a lycan, with the total lack of shyness usually seen in this species. She wants to shake Rick up, and hopes to get a bit of public passion in. Unfortunately, she gets more than any of them bargained for with Rick’s gift.

Madeline is more than she first appears. She seems to be human, and that helps the storyline quite a bit. She is a strong and determined female, and takes action when necessary.

Rick and Maddox are centuries old vampires; sexy and handsome, and in love with their ladies. When Rick’s plan goes awry, it was great the way they banded together to help and it makes for some very hot action: on the couch, on the floor and well, you get the idea.

There is a twist here, with a dangerous edge that is quickly handled by Madeline and Maddox. It is this twist that eventually provides the antidote to Julia’s little problem, and leads to the happy ever after for both couples.

Aspiring artist Samantha Spencer has been around the BDSM lifestyle for years, but she has never had a taste of it. When identical twins Alexei and Stefano Morozov propose a night of sensuous pleasure, free-spirited Sam jumps at the chance to experience something new, even though she knows it has to be just a passing fling. She’s very close to her family, and she knows there is no way they would accept this unconventional relationship.

But one night isn’t enough for the Morozov brothers. They’ve found the one woman who can complete them, and they’re not willing to give her up. For her, they’ll have to pretend to be one man.

Samantha isn’t comfortable with this arrangement. It feels too much like a betrayal. Can she find the courage to stand up for what she wants and honor the two men who love her?

There are some books that you read one time and never revisit. Some books you save in hopes of reading in the future. Two Masters for Samantha by Michele Zurlo is one of those books that you want to read over and over again. Even though this book is a stand-alone story, it was so good that when I finished it I had to find the first two books in the series to add too my eBook library.

Coming from a family with three sets of twins, I loved reading about Alexei and Stefano -- identical twins who have a history of switching places. Can you imagine the kind of trouble the two could cause, when they share everything -- their looks, careers, and their women? Just a hint of what a girl could face: when the Morozon brother set their sights on Samantha Spencer at a wedding, they try their switching act only to find she can tell them apart.

As the story unfolded, I had to stop and turn on the fan because the room was getting hot. The sex education lesson on the difference between Consecutive and Concurrent sex from Samantha's sister and girlfriends gave me a visual picture of what Samantha would face taking on two Dom males. The detailed lesson in the BDSM life style was an added bonus to both Samantha and myself.

I must say it was delightful watching the story play out and see if these two Alpha males could give Samantha what she wanted and needed. I wondered if they would teach her just what being a sub was all about and see if she would desert her pride and beg. Or perhaps Stefano and Alexei would end up begging? Yes, this book has a heavy BDSM theme, and personally, I was not to sure if I liked the idea of the master/slave part of it when I started reading, but overall I found the story was loaded with hot sexual scenes, a few laughs in places, and was an all around enjoyable read.

Hunter Adolfine had a secret…a secret which had come dangerously close to being exposed during her last assignment with her hunky partner, Alexandre Wolff. While Alex was a rugged and sexy as they came, she was leery of starting a relationship with him. Despite all the smoldering looks he constantly sent her way, she was positive he'd never be able to handle the fact the object of his desire could change into a gray wolf at will – especially when his family had been hunting and killing shape-shifters for centuries.

She'd successfully kept him at arm-length until Elizabeth Redding, a young child and the heiress to Grandma’s Baked Delights is snatched right out from under their noses. Knowing she could shift and quickly pick up the trail in the vast Smokey Mountains had her ‘shifting’ without thought. The only problem is, even after they find the little girl, can a hunter and a wolf actually find love together or is one destined to die at the other's hand?

Submission is something wolves take seriously. Hunter knows an alpha is the only type of mate her wolf will submit too and apparently her wolf wants Alexandre (Dre) her partner. Hunter cannot allow her wolf to have the tempting Dre because it will probably end up with him or his family killing her.

When reading this story I felt disconnected from Hunter’s character. It felt as if I only knew her on a superficial level but didn’t get to know who they were deep inside. While Hunter knows who she is on a professional level it seems she is confused on what she wants or need in her personal life. I think part of this is because Hunter didn’t really know her and what she wanted, so it made it hard for me to get to know who she really is.

Dre’s personality on the other hand really shined through. He has a warped sense of human which is displayed numerous times when he is trying to lure Hunter into his bed. It is a quality I can definitely learn to love in a man. He is also a man who knows who and what he wants out of life and will do whatever it takes to get what he wants.

At some points in the story I felt like things were moving too fast. This is especially true in the action scene. I had to reread a few paragraphs to try and figure out exactly what was going on. This interrupted the flow, so I was not able to really let my imagination fully embrace the story.

I really enjoyed the relationship development between Hunter and Dre. It is clear the physical attraction was there even if Hunter is in denial -- and how she could deny a catch like Dre for that long is amazing to me. Dre is able to recognize what they both need and if he has to force Hunter kicking and screaming he will make her see how perfect they really are together.

The take charge attitude of Dre really drew me into the story and I think it will do the same for you.

One for remembrance…one for healing…and one to seal her heart forever.

Lone Star Lovers, Book 4

Chrissi Page has tried to find one man who heats her bed the way the Kinzie brothers did one shameful night years ago. She’s failed miserably, leaving her with no choice but to bank that inner fire—and keep a lid on her inner bad girl.

She’d been weak, unable to choose between three men who appealed to her in different ways. And when they’d confronted her as a tease, anger had boiled over into a passion so wild, she’s still trying to live it down.

Since that night, Ezra, Cade and Joshua have individually sown their wild oats with pretty much the entire available female population of Two Mule, Texas. Yet nothing erases the attraction they still feel for Chrissi. And when she ends up stranded on the road near their ranch, it’s their last chance to turn their mutual obsession into an unusual proposition.

One weekend, three on one. If she can’t stand the heat, they’ll let her go on with her life. And try to find a way to live with the hole she’ll leave behind in theirs.

WARNING: Do not attempt to read this book without fire resistance gloves!!!!

If you have read the previous stories in the Lone Star Lovers series you think you know what you are getting into here. You think...but, this is so much more.

Chrissi Page is finally dealing with her lost love and loyalty to Ezra Kinzie. He was her first love and so much more. Until he introduced her to his brothers! Her wild night with Ezra and his two brothers has haunted her for seven years. Her shame and disappointment at her behavior and her realization that Ezra wouldn’t fight his two brothers for her is always with her, along with the reality of her attraction to all three.

With the Kinzie’s intentionally tampering with her car and her “rescue” by Ezra on the side of the road one afternoon, she ends up back at the Kinzie house and acknowledges the probability that she would be in the middle of the three brothers once again. She cannot deny that she still wants and desires all of them, but her desire for Ezra is as strong as ever. They try to convince her that she is not a one night stand, she means so much more to them. She agrees to spend the weekend with them and they promise to make her understand what they really want..a lifelong commitment between them all. Is she willing to give it a try and take the chance of them holding her heart? Chrissi is a girl with a heck of a decision to make.

Delilah Devlin just makes this type of story such an adventure as well as a hot ride. With each Lone Star Lovers book the story gets better, the characters are more interesting and the romance is hotter. You will never go wrong with a Delilah Devlin story and you will never be disappointed.

Matt is alone for Christmas, wondering if the magic of his favorite holiday is gone forever in a life of bills and disappointments and loneliness and work. Then a couple of puppies appear outside his door, sitting in a milk crate. Matt enlists the help of Josh from across the hall to hide them from their grumpy landlord, the evil Mr. Scrapple. But Christmas is a time of miracles, and nothing is quite what it seems.

Food, puppies, a bookworm, and a cranky old man. Sounds like an interesting holiday story, doesn’t it?

It is.

You need to read Sugarplum: Mutts.

I love stories about people finding each other despite the odds. Add in a couple of flopsy, mopsy puppies and you’ve really got something. Matt works at a Co-Op and creates new recipes. He’s not totally content to be alone in his sad-excuse for an apartment, but man, has he got an obsession with ricotta cheese. Then there’s Josh, the bookworm extraordinaire. He’s got the other half of the first floor—sans the kitchen. Oh, and yeah, there’s a couple of puppies.

Sarah Black writes a cute story filled with characters I wanted to see succeed. Even when I wasn’t totally sure whether to like or dislike a couple of them, I still found myself rooting for them. Reading the evolution between the characters and the overall theme of the story was lovely. Matt and Josh have a mutual attraction, but they keep it under wraps. I love how things blossomed in—of all things—a snowfall.

The plot twists in this short little tale are many. The ending was something I never saw coming, but I can’t see it happening any other way. It left a smile on my face.

If you want a story of understanding, the love of food, and discovery, then you need to read Sugarplum: Mutts. I give the book 4 cherries.

Recruiting for the Kitchen Witch Society has never been so sexy. Krista's got all the eye candy (and magic skill) she could ever hope for in the hard body of amateur chef sensation Chase Hamilton. Now if only she can get him to show her a taste of his handiwork inside the bedroom...

This is a delightfully hot and sweet short story from Dawn Montgomery.

As a recruiter for the Kitchen Witch Society, Krista is looking forward to her latest assignment. Chase Hamilton is handsome, sexy and he can cook. What more does a girl want in a man? Chase is aware of the society, as his late grandmother was a member, and passed her recipes on to him. But he only has cooking magic at Christmas. But when Krista and Chase get together, a magical connection allows them to share magic, and this may change everything. Can Krista convince Chase to join up? Will their unusual sharing of magic last? Can these two have a happy ever after in and out of the kitchen?

I like the characters, and the idea of magic having limits. I enjoyed watching these two find common ground, and learning each other’s magic.

Krista is determined to convince Chase to join the Kitchen Witch Society, even after he reveals that his magic is seasonal. She is upbeat and optimistic, and attracted to Chase immediately. I liked that she didn’t play coy with him, but was up front and honest in her desires.

Chase is a hottie, and he can make heavenly cookies at Christmas. He is honest, and reveals his magical secret to Krista right off. He is not afraid to move on his attraction, and that makes this one very hot story.

I like the fact that these two were open and honest with each other, and the heat level here rises quickly. There are a couple of wonderful surprise twists here that make this a great, if short, holiday hot read. I would love to read more about these two in the future.

Grant and Sam were more than lovers; they shared a special secret. They also shared Grant’s roommate, Amelia, who was beginning to get suspicious about the two hunky males who disappeared every month. The sexy trio was not without their crises: Grant and Sam had a curse that continued to dog them, and Amelia’s soon-to-be ex had a bite that was as bad as his bark. It’s a howlin’ sexy time when author Elizabeth Black turns up the – Feral Heat.

Romance readers who are in the mood for a story high in erotic pleasures will surely find what they are looking for in Feral Heat.

This story takes place at the time the heroine, Amelia, is at a crossroads in her life. She wants to stand up against her slime ball of an ex-husband but he uses their child as a stick to beat her down. Financially she’s in a hard place because he’s messing with that too. There are real women out there who face this everyday but what they don’t have is a roommate like Grant and his best friend, Sam.

Amelia isn’t afraid of expressing either verbally or physically what she needs. After a long drought of denying herself or being denied, she’s coming into her own with a vengeance. She’s respectful about her having her son with her so all of the story’s action occurs when he’s not around, and the reason for that is plausible. Because this is a short story, the action starts off pretty quickly so it starts delivering on its sexy promise as soon as Grant comforts Amelia from her ex-husband’s latest threat. A reader can see that there is more between them and up until that point, they held off. The gloves -- or in this case, the clothes -- come off and Amelia is up for anything. Of course, this being a paranormal story as well, ‘anything’ ends up being a bit more than she bargained for. I liked how the author presented the truth to her and how
Ms. Black had her react. Again, believable enough to get that part out of the way so the good stuff can follow. And wow, is it good.

Grant and Sam both want Amelia and are quite inventive. Ms. Black has the heroes exhibit a very interesting side affect when they are in their most heightened state of arousal, and I really liked that addition. I thought it different and unique and it worked for me.

As much as I liked the fact that Grant and Sam stepped up to the plate and faced Amelia’s ex-husband in a very forceful way -- and I’m sure many woman wished someone would do that for them -- I think it bordered on juvenile. It might have been the dialogue or the extent of what they did, or perhaps the line was crossed at the door encounter, I’m not sure but something didn’t feel smooth to me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad something was done and the ex-husband deserved it; the author made that very clear. I just wished Grant and Sam’s actions were more controlled and alpha-like instead of being reminiscent of spontaneous frat boy antics.

The one place the men excelled and the author outdid herself were the scenes exploring in exciting detail the physical relationship between Amelia, Grant and Sam. That delivers and satisfies on every level and is a strong bit of writing.

Feral Heat is well worth diving into for readers who like werewolf romance stories with a seductive and furry edge. I was entertained and quite happy to get to know Grant and Sam and even Grant’s pet dog was sort of cute in a loopy way. There’s a lot to like in this book and I’m certainly glad I read it.

In a world where everything’s for sale, some things simply can’t be bought.

A Tahoe Nights story.

Janice hadn’t planned to take her long-awaited getaway alone, but when a girl catches her boyfriend with his pants around his ankles…well, let’s just say that at age thirty, there aren’t many princes waiting in line to take the frog’s place.

She arrives in Reno ready to break out of all the molds life has crammed her into. In short order she’s not only getting lucky at the blackjack table, she’s hit the jackpot with Mr. Sex-On-A-Stick. A man who seduces her with his eyes and shows her how a woman should be treated.

Aaron is living the dream. His gift for pleasuring women brings him everything a man could want: a home in the beautiful Lake Tahoe basin, money, gorgeous, rich ladies vying for his very expensive time. Yet there’s a void that haunts him as he lies alone in bed at night. At first, Janice is just another empty job. Then she opens a door and fills his empty life with something he never dared to imagine, let alone want.

Janice discovers her lover has cheated on her and goes to Reno where she meets Aaron who’s used to giving women exactly what they want.

This was a fun and very sexy story to read. I really liked Janice and Aaron. Although he’s been with lots of women he comes across as caring and genuine, and you know from the beginning he’s got real feelings for Janice.

S. L. Carpenter does a top notch job of fitting this well rounded story with some in depth characterization in very few pages. Many times, short stories can feel lacking, but this one really accomplished quite a bit despite its short length. The dialogue is natural sounding and the setting perfect for this story. The sex scenes are hot and well placed.

The book is a hot, fast read and my only complaint…I wanted more. If you have twenty minutes to spare, and are looking for a book that's both steamy and romantic, I can highly recommend you pick this story.

Small-town reporter Peter Fontaine has a cherry job, a hunky artist boyfriend, and an insatiable lust for rooting out the truth. In this third installment of the Bellingham Mysteries, he and Nick must try to recover a stolen statue in time to host their big Halloween party.

The catch? The statue was created by Nick’s ex lover and to find the culprit, Peter must first delve into Nick’s past. Will Peter’s slutty nurse costume be enough incentive for Nick to come clean about his life before Peter?

Peter is back and better than ever. Intrepid reporter Peter Fontaine is on a new case. He’s trying to hunt down a missing statue that just happens to resemble a part of his lover’s anatomy that Peter is intimately familiar with. At the same time, there seems to be a missing a delivery boy caught up in a Satanic cult that may or may not involve a goat. The mystery is afoot and only Peter’s natural inquisitiveness and charm will solve the case.

Black Cat Ink is the third story in the Bellingham series that involves the same characters but a totally separate story. This lets any new readers pick right up on the action while those fans of the series will love a chance to revisit Peter and his hapless investigation. The plot is filled with humor and hijinks as Peter fumbles his way from one seemingly separate case to the other. The details and clues come in and suddenly the mystery is not only connected but not what he thought at all.

Once again the writing is top notch, as expected of Kimberling. The fast pace and humor laced into the story makes this quick and delightful read. Peter and Nick return as a solid, happy couple that still has a few things to work out. It’s nice to see the progression of their relationship as they move from their beginning stages to a more settled aspect. Yet the kinks aren’t entirely worked out and between their hot chemistry and great one liners, this story is simply fun to read.

This is a good introduction to the series with its wacky elements and off the wall characters. The story is meant to be over the top, ridiculous in a tongue in cheek kind of way. It’s trying to make you laugh and appreciate the exaggerated town and its even kookier residents. If you can suspend disbelief and indulge in the humor and roller coaster actions, then this quick bite will be enough to please and satisfy.

Tiffin is a slave boy, branded and chained, trained to serve and eager to please. That’s all he knows; his past life is a mystery, wiped from his mind. Sold to a grim fortress and facing a bleak future, he seeks comfort where he can find it, in the arms and at the feet of Sergeant Zander. He’s happy to give over control of his body to that dominant, delightful man -- but someone else keeps stealing into his mind, taking over.

Tiffin doesn’t know how or who. All he knows is how much trouble he’s in, and how much worse it’s going to get...unless Zander can help him discover what's going on, before he literally loses his mind.

A slave’s mind may be the most dangerous weapon. Tiffin wakes up as a slave without any memory of how he came to be one. He has no knowledge of his past, his family, or how he became a slave. In Amaranth, slavery is so common that no one cares who Tiffin was or if he should be a slave. His mind holds mysteries that he can’t understand and a dangerous mage is making a power play through that blank slate. Only the care of a Sergeant may save Tiffin’s life and his mind, but at the cost of his heart.

Hidden Heart is a fantasy story about real life slavery. In Amaranth slavery is an accepted part of life. Slaves are worth nothing and treated like animals. This comes across in a fantasy BDSM atmosphere. I say fantasy since none of this is true to life or even an accurate portrayal of BDSM but for those that enjoy total fantasy stories, this series offers that. The third story in the series can easily be read alone with new characters and a totally new situation that happens to be in the same environment as the previous books. Here the main slave Tiffin is lost and confused between his new masters and the powerful mage that sometimes controls his mind.

Caught between the opposing forces, the fate of one slave is of consequence to no one... except a young Sergeant that’s taking a liking to Tiffin. The relationship between the two builds easily and offers comfort with discipline. The Sergeant is not a loving master but he’s also not cruel and that idea of safety attracts Tiffin. He yearns to belong to someone who can care for him and keep the daily cruel injustices to a minimum, if possible. There’s no sense of consent or fairness when applied to slaves and Tiffin sees his only chance at happiness being with Zander. At the same time the plot involving a power play by a distant mage is interesting but left questioning. Why this happened and who Tiffin was – how was he chosen? – and any number of questions are never answered.

Hidden Heart is not a story that will appeal to everyone. Its real life slavery themes will bother some readers and I’d recommend this only to those that can and want to indulge in fantasy situations. There is no question that the sex is rape between the two main characters, although as a slave Tiffin not only accepts this but makes the best of it and comes to want it. Readers bothered by this should avoid the book while those that won’t mind such in this fantasy setting may enjoy the interesting story paired with hot sex.

The deviant Dominant Jack Frost can be good…very good. But for being so good at being so bad, Santa keeps him on the naughty list. What would Jack do to get on the good list? Kidnap Santa? With the help of Mrs. Claus, Jack could force Santa’s submission and give him the one thing he’s always wanted—to be on the naughty list himself. Then Jack could show Santa just how very good he can be.

He’s determined to get on the nice list, even if it means being as naughty as they come.

I’m new to the works of KyAnn Waters and I’m not sure why it took me so long! The writing is tight, flows well, and kept me riveted to my seat from page one. I read this book twice because I simply couldn’t get enough. It sent shivers down my spine and scorched my screen.

Santa owns the list — naughty or nice. Mrs. Claus, perpetual nice list-er wants to help Santa get what he wants most — to be naughty. And then there’s Jack Frost. He’s determined to get on the nice list and will do whatever it takes. Just one hitch: Jack’s a Dom and very good at what he does — being naughty.

On the surface, the plot sounds a little complicated, but Ms. Waters pulls it off nicely. I felt for both Santa and Jack and wanted to see them find their heart’s desires. Jack comes off a bit coarse at times, but it works for his character. He’s got to be in charge. I liked reading about Santa and how he deals with the situation. It comes across as both white-hot sexy and sweet.

If you want a book that’s short, but packs a punch, then look no farther. KyAnn Waters’ book, The Naughty List is certainly a one you want on your Christmas list for a heated season or just to warm a chilly winter’s night.

Something's not right. Dragon shifter Calla O'Neil can't stop the emotional rollercoaster taking over her actions. When she finally finds out why, she's going to celebrate by making her husband, Scott, her very own personal body buffet.

I was so happy to see that Amber Kallyn decided to write more in her delightful world with the Dragos.

There is nothing worse than a woman with unreasonable mood changes. Unless it is a female dragon shifter, and then the effect is intensified tenfold. Fire investigator Calla is at the vacation home of her husband of two months in Jasper. When Scott doesn’t bring home mistletoe for their decorations, Calla gets upset beyond what she should, and takes off on a brief flight to cool down. Scott finds some mistletoe while she is out, and this seems to calm her when she returns. But there is more going on here than some missing greenery. Can Scott get to the bottom of his wife’s strange behavior? Is Calla still happy with Scott, or is she having second thoughts? Can these two settle the problems and have the happy ever after they deserve?

I loved catching up with Calla and Scott, and seeing where their relationship has led them.

Calla is still the strong and dedicated fire inspector, but I like that she is experiencing some of the same things all women go through. And I absolutely loved the hot scene she set up to make up with Scott after her earlier meltdown about the mistletoe.

Scott is strong and loyal, as always. But in this one, he is confused by his wife’s behavior. He wonders if she is regretting their marriage already. He loves Calla and is determined to make sure she is happy, no matter what.

This one is short, sweet and incredibly hot. Amber Kallyn is a skilled author who really kept me involved with her characters. I enjoyed the elaborate setup Calla engineered to make up with her husband, and to reveal the reasons behind her recent behavior. I really hope we see more of this couple, and I would love to see more of Calla’s family as well. This is a wonderful short but hot story, one to warm up a cold and snowy night. It sure worked for me.

Fate sealed Rourke and Dane's destiny thirty years ago. Now Celeste, a fae shifter, understands why she's irresistibly drawn to both the Werewolf and the Demon Dragon Shifter. Surely with her succubus nature, she'll be capable of seducing the two alpha men, but will she be able to convince them that sharing her to fulfill the Prophecy would be better than the alternative: chaos, destruction, or death?

Why are the men's tastes--in everything from food to sex--changing? Maybe because one is the prince of the wolf pack, and the other is the leader of the Lore, a dreaded Demon Dragon shifter. They have one option--accept their destiny and complete the ménage bond or die.

The idea that a ménage a trios could save the world is an intriguing premise and the fact that one of the men needs to seduced into it was very hot indeed.

Imagine my surprise when my favorite unicorn, Celia, is back to set another stage for love. I think her character is pretty cool and I love the ways she has to show her love for her extended family. I am thinking they wished she didn’t love them quite so much, until they get the full impact of what was planned for them. Then they’re pretty grateful, to a certain extent.

In The Moon, The Madness, and The Magic, Celia sets up Celeste, her niece who has a very interesting bloodline, with Rourke, a very dominate and sexy growly man, and Dane, brother and best friend to Rourke and delicious in his own right. Of the three of them, Celeste is the only one in the know and the one with the responsibility to initiate the two men into her world and their place within it. That’s a great conflict right there. Add to that the fact that all three are going through some changes that will either destroy the world or save it depending on their choices and the plot accelerates even more.

For erotic romance readers, the story is spiced up with the knowledge that unless the three bond through sex all Celeste’s explanations will be for naught. The world will still fall into chaos. That is a pretty serious load to carry based upon whether or not the men have what it takes to satisfy Celeste and the ménage bond. It’s a great concept and I couldn’t wait to see what Ms. March would do. I was fascinated with the author’s decision to make Rourke the stubborn one and as far as I’m concerned, the one who was the neediest. Rourke was a very strong character and yet I found him to be vulnerable. He simply can’t be anything else than what he is and he has to be dominant or he’d fall apart. And yet, he needs. He needs Celeste, craves her even. That passion and possessive drive could be his undoing. That dynamic worked for me. I felt it gave greater emotional depth to the story.

Dane tugged at my heart strings. His torment comes from the choices he has to make. At one point I felt really sorry for him and was worried his heart would be so broken, he’d not recover and would turn bitter. I liked how the author circumvented that possibility with an inventive and sensual solution.

The only thing I wished the book would have had was more of an emotional edge to Rourke’s seduction. I would have loved to know more of his feelings…you know, those words that build shivery anticipation of how he’d react to the next touch by Dane. That perhaps Dane could have had a stronger role in seducing his reluctant bond mate and not relied so much on Celeste and her special touch. Instead it was pretty straightforward and I was left with a feeling of wanting. Of course this is my opinion and even though Rourke was a tough nut to crack, I continue to wish there’d have been a bit more to his capitulation. On the other hand, what there was for physical interaction between the three of them was pretty inventive and hot so I am pretty sure erotic romance readers are going to find enough of what they look for to be satisfied and happy with this story.

The Moon, The Madness, and The Magic is a well written, imaginative and entertaining read filled with spicy action and sultry seductions. The conflicts in this story are mostly internal but there’s an overt threat that looms over the three characters which adds to the tension and importance of their being successful. Of course writing a book where sex is the key to saving the world just had to be fun to write and it shows. There’s humor between the characters and lots of good buildup for a reader to enjoy which leads to a very satisfying happily ever after. I love how the men refused to “poof” and it summed up their personalities well. Rourke and Dane are not ‘poofy’ men; they are alphas all the way and oh, so yummy. I think readers will like them just as much as I did and will come away thinking Celeste is one lucky lady. Read it and see if you agree.

She can’t even look at a picture of Michelangelo’s David without wishing he would come alive and make love to her. So while her husband goes off to his boring conference, she goes to the erotic art exhibit at the gallery…and lets her imagination run wild.

A nude thinks of her lover and masturbates with his image in her mind. A lady on a swing tempts a young swain as her skirt flies up. A god ravishes his virgin sacrifice. And a new concubine must think of a unique way to please her master.

When she meets her husband at the end of the day, he reaps the rewards of her vivid fancies…and enjoys what she bought in the gift shop.

While her husband’s attending a seminar, a woman decides to spend the afternoon at a gallery that’s holding a special exhibition of erotic art from around the world.

I give this author credit for coming up with a very unique story. As the main character stops by each painting to view it, we are given a new story. They’re all red hot with wonderful dialogue and narration, but each one has its own unique flavor. It’s almost like getting a book of mini erotic stories in one book which made this story all the more pleasurable to read.

The time it takes to read it flies by and I was left wondering what the main character would be up to when she meets up with her husband after he’s done with his seminar. I thought perhaps the author would invite us into the bedroom for that, too, but it’s left to our imagination which I think added to the sexiness of this story.

If you’re looking for a unique, hot read I’d highly recommend Exhibition to you.
