Genna Cosworth, a five-hundred-year-old witch overcome by loneliness, casts a beauty spell upon herself in an effort to find love—even if it’s just for one night.

Richard Barrentine is a man any woman could fall in love with: tall, dark, and irresistibly handsome. The pair spend a passionate evening together, but when the midnight hour draws near, Genna realizes she cannot live without him.

Desperate, Genna comes to the only conclusion a witch in her position could…she has to freeze time.

But can she live with herself after having brought light and love to her life by plunging the remainder of the world into darkness for an eternity? Perhaps the better question is can Richard give his heart to the woman who, for him, is willing to do just that?

You have the chance to take the one thing you feel you don’t deserve. Do you jump at the opportunity or do you hide away and ignore your heart’s desire?

There’s a book that will help you better make the decision. Just One Night by Juliet Cardin.

Juliet Cardin is a new to me author, but this story really captivated me. The writing is tight and kept me wanting to know what would happen next. Although things happen quickly, there is a great deal of heart within the heat of the story. And talk about plot twists. The ending is satisfying and nothing I’d expected. To be honest, I loved the ending. If I had any complaints, it would be the lack of details. I wanted to know more about the characters and there were times I felt pulled out of Genna’s point of view. Still, I couldn’t stop reading.

Let me talk a moment about the heroine. I felt like I was right there with Genna trying to bask in the one night she had. I felt her pain and loneliness as if they were my own. Those are some deep feelings for such a short story. She’s been through the wringer and I couldn’t help but want to see her get her heart’s desire.

Richard is better than the best hero. I had a preconceived notion about him and I loved how the author turned my thoughts upside down. Oh, and before I forget to mention it, he’s darned handsome, too.

If you want a book that will make you squirm in your seat as well as sigh and giggle, then you need to read Just One Night. You’ll love it.

Powertools, Book 2

Note to self: When confessing a crush on an ultra-hot construction worker to your best friend, make sure he’s not standing right behind you.

If Morgan thought spilling the beans on her lust for Joe would scare him off, she couldn’t have been more wrong. Following her birthday wish gone awry, the hunk is treating her to one surprise after another. From little things that make her smile to lavish, romantic dates, Joe is turning out to be the stuff of dreams

Joe’s attentions to the sexy pastry shop owner begin as lighthearted fun. Until he finds out about the past that, until now, has made her keep him at arm’s length. Determined to show her seeking pleasure is no crime, he sets out to fulfill her steamiest fantasies—with a little help from three of his best friends.

After a four-course birthday adventure, which presents Morgan as the sweetest imaginable dessert, she expects Joe to walk away. But now that Joe’s brought Morgan out of her shell, he’s hungry for something he never expected to crave—a forever kind of love.

Morgan’s birthday is just around the corner and her one desire makes her blush from head to toe. After lusting over Joe for the past few months, she can’t help but make him her birthday wish. But he turns out to be more then even she thought he could be and she would have it no other way.

Joe and his crew are a close-knit family and Morgan would make the perfect addition to it. Taking it slow was always his game plan, one that went straight out the window when he saw Morgan. Now making every second of her birthday count as he shares in her every whim--whether it's by himself or sharing her with the crew.

Morgan fit absolutely great with the crew and their closeness. I love how once she opened up, she never retreated back into her shell. Joe was both caring and understanding. The way he took his time to explain how he felt about everything was heart warming. Once these two finally got together it was hard to take your eyes away from the pages to see what they were going to do next.

This book was filled with steamy sex scenes that are enough to make any reader blush. The crew just keeps getting hotter and hotter with every new addition to the series. I can’t wait for the next one to come out so I can learn more and more about these incredible construction workers. I highly recommend this book it’s a great quick read!

Trapped behind closed doors, she is a thief caught red-handed. And he is the man willing and able to hand out sensual, erotic punishment.

Stealing gives her spirit a rush, his dominance ignites her soul.

An accountant by day, a thief by choice, Chloe goes against her own rule and pilfers from the same store more than once. More than a few time actually. Is it really the high from taking something as insignificant as a flower or is it the sexy shop owner that occupies her dreams that has her coming back?

This short story is packed with tension, some apprehension, and a whole lot of sexual chemistry. The whole scenario was just a little uncomfortable for me but I couldn’t stop reading it. She’s a thief, he’s an artist (standing in for the shop owner) and I kept thinking there was going to be this big reveal that they actually knew each other and were simply role playing. It didn’t happen that way but how Ms. Redwood draws out the seduction is perfect for both Chloe and Daniel. Chloe needs the adrenaline rush of being forced and Daniel needs to be in control.

You get just a snippet of information about who these people are outside this scenario but I didn’t expect a whole lot background from just thirty-five pages. If a quick erotic read is what you’re looking for, To Catch A Thief is a great experience.

Mandy is content with her job as a librarian, her longtime boyfriend, Martin, and the lovely home they share. So what if their sex life is vanilla? She's not the wild type anyway.

But when she wakes up one morning—unsatisfied—from an erotic dream starring her favorite movie star, Mandy starts to crave sexual adventure in real life. Too bad Martin won't oblige, because it's not Tuesday or Friday. Then Mandy finds out what Martin's been doing the other days of the week—or rather, who. And suddenly she needs to prove to herself that she's not boring in bed.

Fortunately, there is no shortage of smoking-hot men willing to help her on her sensual quest: a nameless library patron who could be Brad Pitt's twin, a coworker she suddenly sees in a different light, and the neighbor who usually rubs her the wrong way wants to show her he can rub her the oh-so-right way, too! Lucky for Mandy, her lovers are more than willing to share...

Mandy is content with her life...but bored. After a hot dream featuring one of her favorite stars, Mandy tries to seduce her boyfriend Martin, but since it isn’t Tuesday or Friday, he stalls. Then Mandy comes home early from her job as a librarian, and catches Martin just as his ‘other woman’ is leaving. Mandy tosses him out, along with the mattress that he cheated on, and questions her own sexuality, wondering why she wasn’t enough.

An encounter with a mystery stranger makes her feel alive and attractive so she embarks on a series of sexcapades, from sex on the job with Sean, a co-worker at the library, to sex in the park with the mysterious stranger, and finally, with her new roommate, James. She begins to realize she is out of control, but can’t seem to stop. When she realizes she has strong feelings for James, she tries to cut back her activities. Can she settle down and find happiness with one man? Can Mandy find a way to live her fantasies with James?

Shelley Aikens has written a hot and sex filled story of betrayal and discovery. The action is set off by Martin’s betrayal of Mandy, and leads Mandy to experiment with her sexuality in many ways. From her workplace, to the park, and several other places, she proves to herself that she is still attractive, but begins to doubt what she’s doing is what she truly needs.

Mandy is an interesting character. She begins as a disappointed and slightly bored woman and after Martin’s betrayal, she seems to go just a bit wild. She feels lacking, and thinks the only way to feel better is to fulfill all of her fantasies. She uses less than good judgement, especially in her encounters with the ‘mysterious stranger’ first in the library, then later in the park. She finally gets her act together when she realizes what she really wants.

The men in Mandy’s life are all attractive, but each has a different way to treat her. Sean starts off shy, but quickly becomes dominating and demanding. The mysterious stranger floats in and out almost like a dream. James starts as a neighbor who offers a room to Mandy in exchange for dog sitting, but it is this man who helps Mandy come to terms with what she really wants.

This is a very hot book, filled with as many fantasies as the author could pack in here. I felt a bit overwhelmed at times by all that was going on. I was a bit uncomfortable in a couple of spots, but I did enjoy the happy ever after that Mandy finally found. This story is definitely not for the faint of heart, and the heat is high enough to singe your fingertips.

Two hundred years ago, Allyn du Sainte Dominique was cursed to a granite prison in the form of a gargoyle. It devastated his lover, the powerful witch, Helene Laurent.

The curse is a powerful one invoked by the goddess Helene worships, but with the universe in perfect alignment, Helene has a chance to free him. She'll do whatever it takes and use every ounce of her desire to change him back to the human she once knew. Will Helene's passion and her devotion be strong enough to break the ties that bind him?

The wrath of the goddess kept them apart. Can the goddess bring them back together?

Morgan Sierra’s book took turns I didn’t see coming, but man-oh-man was it scorching hot. I couldn’t begin to imagine what would happen if the object of my affection, nay devotion, was turned to granite right before my eyes. I’m pretty sure two thousand years would feel like an eternity as it did to Helene. Speaking of the heroine, she’s one tough woman. There were times she could’ve easily backed down and given in. Although the depths of her attraction to Allyn were more than I could conceive, it was very hot to read about.

And then there’s Allyn. This guy got the wrong end of the deal. Turned to stone because he fell in love. Actually, it’s rather romantic to think a guy would sacrifice himself for the love of his life. Even with the modifications, I have to say, he was one of the yummiest heroes I’ve come across in a while.

I love a good fantasy story, especially when there are plenty of plot twists to keep my attention. This book kept me in my seat. I wasn’t totally sure at times what was going on because it’s all told from the heroine’s point of view. But that’s not to say I didn’t enjoy it. The writing is crisp and the visuals were engaging. I wanted to know what would happen next. I will be looking for more from this author.

If you want a great little story that’s guaranteed to need a cool drink, then you need to read Granite Devotion. You won’t be disappointed.

When Donavan and Chase come upon Liana undressing, they are overcome with lust and realize that she is the woman of their dreams. Liana is strong and passionate, with just the right amount of submission to balance out two such dominating men, but will her strength be enough to overcome their past? All her inhibitions crumble in the face of such passion, and the only course left to her is surrender.

Terror is lurking around every corner as dark forces try to keep these three lovers apart. When Donavan and Chase realize what could be lost, they tighten their defenses and will go to any length to protect what is theirs.

Are you prepared for so much hot lovin’ that it will have you seeing double? Chase and Donavan Marsh waste exactly no time in declaring their intentions to cowgirl and rodeo champ Liana McCarty. Her reaction and attraction to the brothers is no less explosive. Honestly, the chemistry burned so hot so fast I wouldn’t have been surprised if read that the barn where they met had suddenly gone up in smoke!

Twin Pleasures is the second book by Ms. Thomas that I have read, the first being Her Mates. I can tell you from my experience, she has a very scintillating voice for ménage relationships. Whether it's two men to one woman or five were-bears to one woman the chemistry is present and the sex is scorching! Never fear that her books are all sex and no plot, though. Ms. Thomas built a very plausible and layered plot in Twin Pleasures. While I would have liked to have had a little more history behind the antagonists involved I felt like I understood their motives well enough that the story wasn’t flat.

Chase and Donavan are twins but also have their own distinct personalities. They work well together to keep Liana distracted and happy. What woman wouldn’t be thrilled to have two gorgeous men giving their full attention and devotion to her happiness and sexual gratification? Chase and Donavan tend to be dominant and the story contains some light BDSM elements without being over the top.

Liana is the perfect heroine for these two alpha males. She’s submissive but with an independent streak that doesn’t allow them to simply walk all over her. She’s talented and self-confident around the horses and is an asset to the men. They are impressed with her from the moment they see her and never have a single doubt that she is the missing piece to their triangle. I appreciated the fact that there wasn’t a lot of wishy washy “this will work” “this won’t work” “I should just leave” “I can’t leave” type of mental gymnastics. Liana recognizes very early that what they are offering is exactly what she wants.

Twin Pleasures was a really fun read and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something to hot to warm them up on one of these cold nights.

In the middle of the forest, Jonathan discovers an old foundation where strange beings dance. A raven-haired beauty entices him into her arms, where she offers him the choice of enjoying her body or the fortune of his dreams. Is this woman real or merely a figment of his darkest fantasy?

What if you could have your heart’s desire? Would you take it? Would you still walk away? Or would you embrace it with open arms?

If I were the one with the choice, I have no idea what I’d choose. But I’m glad I read Darkest Fantasy by Molly Diamond. This little story packs a heck of a punch. The writing is brisk and kept me turning pages to see what would happen next. I felt like I was right there with Jonathon trying to see the woman with the dark silky hair.

This story brings the heat. Jonathon is captivated by the woman dancing in the glen. I loved the abandon with which he pursued her. I got to see what it was like to be in his head, processing what he went through. It was different and unique.

I did want to know more about the woman with the black hair. The story is told from Jonathon’s point of view, so I wasn’t totally sure about her. The author uses interesting techniques to disclose things about her, though. If I had any suggestions, it would be to make the story a little longer. I liked the pacing, and yet, it almost came across hurried. I had to reread a couple times to make sure I got all the details.

Don’t get me wrong. I liked the story and will certainly look for more from this author. This hot little treat has whetted my appetite for more.

If you want a book that will make you wriggle in your seat, then you need to read Darkest Fantasy. Have a cold drink handy. You’re going to need it, but it’ll be very much worth it.

Carrie Trent has just become the photographer for a gay porn film company where committed couple Cal and Scotty are the stars -- the stars of the company and of every fantasy Carrie has. And now she has to be on-set to photograph them while they have sex in a multitude of different moods and positions.

It’s driving her absolutely insane. She loves them, she really does, but her heart just can’t take being on the outside looking in. Carrie can’t quit, though, because the loan shark she thought was an old family friend wants his money right damn now and she just doesn’t have it.

Now her beautiful, sexy men are making her wonder if they’re really gay or maybe a little bit, just-for-her bi, and her financial troubles are pushing her down a really dangerous road. She's not good at asking for help, but she's not going to get out of her money mess on her own.

Good gravy this is one hot book. Imagine the two hottest guys on the planet getting together. Touching, licking, and pleasuring. Now add a girl. Sound exciting? In Missy Welsh’s book, Take the Shot, it sure is.

I’ll be the first to admit, I like a little domination in my books. When it’s not at all how I expected, now that’s explosive. Ms. Welsh’s writing style kept me right in my seat until the last page, and yeah, I’m still thinking about the characters. I felt like I was right there with them, going through the story and experiencing the burgeoning desires. There were times I giggled and times I wanted to smack a character upside the head. But in all honesty, my feeling emotionally involved in the story is a mark of a great tale.

Scotty and Cal are fantastic. Opposites, but I could totally picture them together. The details in their scenes made the shots literally pop from the page. I liked their personalities and how they gelled together. I did like Carrie, but there were times she frustrated me. Her motivations for being on set with Cal and Scotty made perfect sense, but I still wanted to ask her why she acted on certain impulses and not others. Still, the triple threat was great to read about because it worked so well.

If you want a story that’s got a little bit of everything, heat, heart, and action, then you need to read Take the Shot. It’s a spicy little gem you won’t want to miss.

Nailing an embezzler got him so much more than money…

Xavier De Los Santos is on the brink of financial ruin. Stratler Homes has lost hundreds of thousands of dollars, and Xavier’s best vendors are refusing to work with him. Worse, he knows who’s responsible: his embezzling ex-fiancée, Lindsey.

Jordan Belten is the accounting half of Belten and Belten, the prestigious law and accounting firm whose new client is pure gorgeous male on a stick. Jordan is more than pleased to audit Gorgeous’s records, and find out if it’s indeed the man’s ex-fiancée who’s brought a strong man like Xavier to his knees.

Ex-fiancé. Xavier isn’t gay. Jordan didn’t have a prayer...

What he did have were secrets of his own...

Have you ever purchased a book because the cover was so mouthwatering yummy. Well with Xavier’s Way before I even read the excerpt I knew I had to have this one just so I could drool over the cover. However, the cover was not the only thing that was hot about this book. Nope, I must say that Ms. DeRicci did a beautiful job in creating a delightful story with in the pages of this book.

Xavier De Los Santos turns to the law and accounting firm of Belten and Belten when he learns that his ex-fiancée has been embezzling his money. Jordan Belten the accounting half of the firm agrees to help Xavier prove Lindsey is guilty and with hope get his money back. The only problem is Jordan finds he has the hots for Xavier, but Xavier isn’t gay so Jordan knows he doesn’t have a prayer. However, working late into the night together has both men on edge -- the sexual tension between them may become to much for both of them to bare. Can they work it out are will this tension cause Xavier to lose everything he has worked so hard to build?

Xavier's Way is one of those books that keep you smiling and shaking your head through the whole thing wondering if Xavier will figure who and what he is. Who knows maybe Jordan is what he needs to save not only his business but also the person to take away the bitterness left by his ex-fiancée betrayal and cruel words.

When I finished Xavier's Way, I could hardly wait to tell all my friends that they needed to read it. This one will definitely remain in my library to be read again. A new and refreshing view on the M/M relationships – it had such a nice flowing plot that made it easy to relax and just enjoy the written word.

She needs pain…she needs punishment…she needs him.

Jase Ralston gets hot under his very blue collar just thinking about his friend and neighbor, Miranda Carlucci. Yet she can’t possibly be interested—not when she could have champagne, caviar and her pick of Vegas high rollers.

The bruises change everything. She denies she’s in an abusive relationship, but his cop instincts won’t let him rest until he finds out the truth. When he follows her to a BDSM club and finds her writhing under a flogger’s stinging kiss, his Dom instincts kick in.

Jase takes command of the scene—and Miranda—at Club Creed. This is what she’s always wanted. Pleasure, pain…and rough-around-the-edges Jase. Yet after his domination transports her to a level of subspace she’s never known, he leaves her—unwilling to continue the scene.

Confusion gives way to hurt…then anger. He’s claimed her and Miranda wants more. Even if it means confronting Jase and making demands of her own.

Two friends who yearn for more are kept apart by a secret. When they learn the truth, will they be able to cave to their desires? Or will their explorations destroy everything they’ve come to cherish? Thus is the premise of Miranda’s Rights, a sizzling hot BDSM contemporary novella by author KyAnn Waters.

Miranda is a submissive who desires more than sex. She needs a bit of pain with her pleasure. Unfortunately, the person she wants delivering her punishment is none other than her best friend and sexy neighbor Jase. For years, she’s kept her desires a secret. Now, faced with the questions he expects answers for, she is unsure of the appropriate way to respond. Does she tell him the bruises she carries are from consensual play at a BDSM club? Or does she continue to live a lie for the sake of friendship?

Jase wanted Miranda from the first moment he saw her. Of course, as a Dom who requires total submission and surrender, she is everything he can never have. When he discovers bruises on her beautiful body, he decides an investigation is in order. As a cop, it shouldn’t be too hard to track her down and uncover her secrets. To his shock, his gorgeous neighbor has been frequenting a BDSM club. When he enters the establishment to get some answers, he ends up going home with a whole lot more.

Miranda’s Rights is an extremely sexy story about friends who become lovers. Yes, the BDSM theme is prevalent, but I did enjoy the interaction between Miranda and Jase. Their chemistry is fantastic, and their love scenes make the pages burn. There is just enough back history to keep the reader informed, while the ending manages to pull everything together.

Fans of BDSM romances are sure to enjoy Miranda’s Rights. If you’re in the mood for something short, hot, and sweet don’t let this story pass you by.

Lyssa Merrick is happy with her life leading wildlife and wilderness expeditions through the upper Adirondacks. She’s proud of the business she built on her own, and happy with the freedom to run whenever she feels the need.

Wolfe Reardon, as leader of his pack, wants to create a wildlife sanctuary to allow certain species to repopulate the area, as well as to provide a safer environment for his pack without fear of hunters.

When Wolfe walks into Wilderness Wanderings, he knows he’s met his mate. Lyssa, unfortunately, is not so happy to discover her destined mate is a wolf. Long ago she swore she would never be a member of a pack again and she’s sure nothing he says will change that.

Lead a hike into the Adirondacks to scout out some land for an animal preservation. Easy enough assignment for an experienced tracker and lynx shifter like Lyssa Merrick. So what if the client is sex on legs. So what if he smells good enough to jump. So what if…he’s a wolf shifter and her mate? Okay, not so typical a job after all.

Lyssa Merrick has purposely lived as far away as possible from her family and pack ever since she was made to feel an outsider. Who could blame her, really? She was a lynx living in a wolf pack. Her mother was the only other lynx she knew and was married to Lyssa’s father who is Alpha of the pack. You can imagine how Lyssa felt the need to prove that she was able to take care of herself but being separated from the pack has started to take its toll when in walks the totally delicious and breath stealing Alpha Wolfe Reardon.

Ms. Beau has a beautiful way with words. That first meeting is so full of tension my eReader started to fog over. She describes how Lyssa reacts to realizing that the man in front of her is not only a wolf but her destined mate and I think my heart was beating just as loud as Lyssa’s when he touches her hand and her face. In the past I’ve tended to lean towards only reading wolf shifter books but the cats are starting to get to me. I could literally imagine the way my own housecat reacts when we stroke her head or rub her back. Ms. Beau describes Lyssa’s reaction as one of confusion of whether she should claw, bite or purr and that is definitely true to a cats nature.

Wolfe is exactly the type of alpha character you would hope and expect in a shifter book. He is determined and self-confident when suddenly faced with his mate. He’s also protective and fearless when even the slightest hint of harm comes near her. In a word, Wolfe is fierce!

Wolf! was a terrific little novella and I wouldn’t mind revisiting this pack again in the future. We get a sneak peek at Wolfe’s sister and her mate that left me wanting more. For a short story with a lot of heart and some heat to warm these cold nights, pick up a copy of Wolf!

Corin's honor demands he do his duty, but he cannot execute the lovely woman while any part of her humanity remains. He must also find—and kill—her sire. Jasmine denies ever having contact with a vampire, causing Corin to question the justice of his orders. Sensing his hesitation, the Council dispatches another executioner, forcing the pair to make a run for it.

Every hour they spend together—every sensual encounter they share—finds them growing closer. Now Corin will have to choose: kill the woman he loves, or go against everything he believes to set her free.

Imagine her shock and disbelief when he informs her that she has contracted an incurable case of vampirism. Not only that, but because she was turned without permission, she must be terminated in three days.

The gorgeous stranger is the executioner for the vampire Council, and he tries to learn the identity of Jasmine’s sire. For the first time in his long life, Corin doesn’t want to blindly follow his orders; he is developing feelings for the brave and beautiful woman who didn’t choose any of what is happening to her. Can Jasmine survive the transformation? Will Corin be able to find a way to save her, or will he be the instrument of her final death? Can these two find an answer to all the puzzles of Jasmine’s unusual change?

This story kept me reading long past my bedtime, because I just had to know what happened next here. The characters were well written and I enjoyed watching them go from adversaries to reluctant allies and finally to lovers. I loved that this wasn’t a predictable story, and that I didn’t see what was coming around every corner.

Jasmine is a spunky heroine. Faced with a shift to everything she has ever believed, she finds the courage to forge ahead. She is smart, sassy and determined to find a solution that she can live with, or rather die with. She is also determined to go out fighting, but she finally found the one thing worth fighting for: love.

Corin is an executioner for the Vampire Council. He is tall and handsome, and for the first time in his long life, he questions the orders he is to fulfill. He was once a Roman gladiator, and has seen much in his long life, but never love. He is noble and honorable, and comes to doubt the Council’s rules. But he isn’t sure how to save the woman he loves.

I love the strength of these characters. I kept expecting the worst, and several times I was near tears as events unfolded. I wanted this to turn out right, but there was some doubt a couple of times, before Jasmine found the key to their happy ever after. This one is filled with romance, suspense and scorching hot sex too. If you read this, keep the ice around.
