Aria’s never acted on her secret need to give up her normally tight control—until one night, when a mysterious business card appears in a very personal place. For the first time in her life, Aria’s taking a chance on fate and the promise of a stranger to discover her veiled desires.

ER doctor Mac Hudson has always known who he is and what he wants. Now he’s looking for a sub to explore all the erotic cravings and fantasies he wants to share. One glimpse of Aria, and Mac’s ready to claim the petite sub in every way he can.

A single night of passion is all she expected. Now Mac’s asking for more, and Aria doesn’t know if her newfound naughty nature is up to the challenge.

Aria has always kept her longings a secret. That was until she discovered a card hidden in her box. A card that mysteriously appears to those who need it. When she calls the number on the card she finds herself immersed in the world she longs for. In this world she finds Mac who may be the man she has been dreaming of all these years.

I loved Aria right from the beginning. She is such a strong woman but longs to let go in the bedroom. Finding the card gives her a way to do just that. I enjoyed seeing all of her misconceptions of the BDSM lifestyle corrected as she lets herself go. Watching Aria let loose and enjoy herself with Mac was a wonderful read. Mac is a good man and a great Dom who understands what Aria needs and wants. Seeing the bond between the two begin to blossom was a nice read. The love that the two feel shines through everything that they do.

This story has an easy flow to it that pulled me right along with Aria into its world and shows how wonderful letting go can be. The connection that Aria and Mac made was a beautiful thing. This author did a great job of bringing the characters to life. I would love to visit with Aria and Mac again to see what they do next.

This was a wonderful installment in the 1-800 Dom Help series and if you are enjoying this series you will not be disappointed. I know that I will certainly be on the look out for more from this author in the future.

Kyle Lang just got out of a marriage that lasted too goddamned long. He knew when he married her that he shouldn’t have. For the last few years, he’s been haunted by daydreams of the perfect feel of another man’s skin. The problem is, the bar scene isn’t working so well for him. When Kyle picks up Jesse, an eighteen-year-old illegal who turns tricks for cash, he finally finds something to scratch that desperate itch. For Jesse, who is only gay-for-pay to support his sister, it's the first time he’s ever been aroused by another man's touch. The consequences will change his whole world.

Papi is a tale of two men dealing with their own set of obstacles in life. Can one night of shared passion change their outlook on life? Or just prove that there is no such thing as a happy ending?

Kyle is a man in his mid-thirties coming to terms with his homosexuality. His internal thoughts describe his struggles with how he feels and all he has lost due to his inability to be true to himself. He goes looking for a quick easy fix to his problem. Who he meets on his journey to self-discovery is a very sweet and sexy Jesse.

The character of Jesse is a victim of circumstances. He has moved to a new country and has met nothing but hurt and deceit along the way. Prostituting isn’t his ideal goal in life but it’s his only option. This young man is trying to help care for his sister while working the streets. Given his line of work he is an honorable man trying to do right by his family.

The whole idea of this story is ironic when it comes to the characters. Kyle is a man who has lived a straight life style while secretly harboring gay feelings. Then there is Jesse who is only participating in gay acts to help put food on the table for him and his sister. It goes as far as to say Jesse has to think of his ex-girlfriend to get aroused but when he becomes intimate with Kyle everything he thought is thrown into the wind. Kyle shows this young man kindness and caring he has never experienced working the streets.

This story was amazing. Such emotions were triggered for me in such few pages. This story is a steady climb of excitement and hope and ends with such a bang it left me asking myself what the hell just happened? Papi was an entertaining and very arousing read. The author’s descriptions couldn’t have been more lifelike.

On a side note if you’re accustomed to your stories having that happy ever after, feel good love tinged to it, I suggest you read this short story with caution. I don’t want to give the ending away but the ending is unexpected and surprising, hence its inclusion in the publisher's "Bittersweet Dreams" line.

I feel fortunate to have gotten to review Papi. It was like being treated to a guilt free dessert. The cover alone is enough to pull readers in but the story inside is what will have readers mesmerized. It you like your stories bittersweet this is a must read.

Mac and Griff, mated werewolves, have been sniffing around sexy pole dancer Miss Kitty for days. They finally make their move, inviting her to join them for a coffee after her last shift one Saturday night.

Kari's been hurt by shifters before, badly, and she carries the scars to prove it. She can't deny that Mac and Griff are a sexy pair of pups, though, and she's drawn to them despite herself.

Can the boys convince Kari that they're not going to hurt her, and in fact are everything she's been dreaming about -- and more?

If a reader is short on time but long on wanting to read a book that condenses all the good stuff into one quick and entertaining package, then Howling for Kitty will satisfy the need.

Kari, Mac and Griff are the focus of the story and the goal of the two men is to convince the heroine what they know to be true – that they’d be great together. Their nose knows, so it should be a piece of cake, right? Not so fast. Kari has some past baggage that’s pretty hefty. Mac and Griff are going to have to do some pretty fancy talking, their actions are going to have to provide the proof Kari needs to believe in them, and they have a very short time to do it in. Talk about pressure.

Some readers might think the movement from meeting and into bed is too fast. This is a short story meant to entertain with sexy fluff and romance. The author provides just enough of a back story for a reader to understand Kari’s wariness. There is enough paranormal information to explain a few things which allows for the story to happen the way it does.

Through dialogue, the author showed me who was alpha and who was the submissive beta. Her descriptions were adequate for me to get a feel for what turns on each of the protagonists and the sexual persuasion was both hot and sweet. However, this story only works because of the paranormal aspect with which the author used to good effect.

My most favorite line in the whole book is, “She was going to smell wolfy for days.” I read it over a few times, with my grin getting wider and wider at each pass. It’s terrific.

Howling for Kitty is quite simply, fun for fun’s sake. It’s not rocket science, it’s entertainment. It has some very sexy scenes that scorched my eyebrows and the characters were cute. The story is a like an appetizer -- it whets your appetite for more.

Dr. Trisha Norbit is flat on her back in a hospital bed, pinned under a really big New Species male. Though drugged out of his mind, he promises her ecstasy and is determined to deliver—but hospital staff intervenes. 215 is a man Trisha will never forget. But, when she meets him again at Homeland…he doesn’t even remember her!

The nosy new doctor wants to know all about the breeding habits between humans and Species. Slade proposes a hands-on education but she’s not interested in a one-night stand. He can’t offer more because he’s haunted by the memory of a woman he once tried to claim. He’s shocked when he realizes they are one and the same. He’s blown it—she’ll never give him a chance now.

But, when her life is in danger, he’s the only one who can save her. As they flee through the wilderness, their desire ignites and cannot be denied. Hot sex, on the run, has consequences that are even more dangerous and will change their lives forever.

Laurann Dohner’s latest book, and second in the New Species series: Slade, fulfills the promise of the first book, Fury. In fact, I came away with believing I’d found something special…

The premise of this series is based on humans genetically engineered and enhanced with animal DNA, to form new breeds of human animals or New Species. Kept as virtual prisoners, subjected to brutal, inhuman and often fatal experimentation, their rescue/release and integration into the world and society at large, becomes a reality fraught with danger…

It can be argued that this premise is similar to another famous author and her equally famous and extremely popular series. Personally, I happen to think it’s like comparing Twilight to True Blood… Similar traits, only within the realm of the fantastical and whimsical.

I found the style, the plot, the characters, the settings… the sheer energy and impact of the story to be gripping, vibrantly crafted and executed. Devastatingly erotic and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish, what a rush!

For those that like a warning; although anal sex is mentioned it is in passing only. A little assertive seduction, more titillating than scary and there is a mild attempted rape scene, that whilst perhaps stressful to our heroine, should not upset anyone too much. There is however, lots of fabulous heart stopping, heart rocking, mind-blowing sex between two lovers, blind to the love that binds them.

I’ve been a fan of Ms Dohner’s since buying my first of hers, Berrr’s Vow and falling head over heels in lust with her Zorn Warrior studmuffin, Hyvin Berrr - and then bought everything else I could get my hands on. What an imagination this lady has! And her work just keeps getting better and better. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

So if gorgeous, over developed, alpha New Species mates of various breeds stimulate your interest, look no further than this wonderful series. Though it can be read as a stand alone, it's even more enjoyable read in order.

Daisy Wellfleet needs a husband if she means to keep control of her grandfather’s hotel. Lawrence Bailey, wounded in a mine explosion, needs somewhere to recuperate. For a marriage of convenience he sounds entirely suitable.

But the man who shows up, three days late, is not what she expected from his letters. He’s too healthy, too handsome, and generally just too much of everything. Now Daisy can only wish Lawrence Bailey would stop distracting her, before she falls in love — the last thing a fiercely independent woman needs.

And Lawrence Bailey has a secret. He’s just not himself. He’s not Lawrence Bailey at all, but Luke Blackwood. If only he could untangle everything, start at the beginning again. If only she’d let him get a word in edgeways, because falling in love is the last thing a sensible, solitary man needs.

I just had to read it twice. Entangled snagged me from the first sentence. I think it was a normal reaction considering the first thing I read was “She wasn’t supposed to be in bed with her husband”. Suspense kicked in and barely a few paragraphs later, heated sex raised its head to say hello.

Ms. Fresina was successfully able to tangle me into her web. I was desperate to understand how the protagonists, Luke and Daisy, had come to be husband and wife.

However, it wasn’t only that. The story is riddled with humor and lively descriptions. From the moment Luke got out of that coach and Daisy described him as “shockingly handsome, in a rough-hewn, unapologetic, very masculine way” I believe I was already in love with him. As for Daisy, she might have lived in the 1800's but I could easily identify with her through her independent nature, and some of her ideas (she wasn’t the weepy sort; she didn’t coo over babies, she’s very practical).

Both characters have strong personalities and the contest of wills between them was easily seen through the flowing dialogue that Ms. Fresina writes. The author also conceives everything so that the plot falls perfectly into place. I particularly liked the way she introduced Randolph Blackwell, his paintings and the other two Blackwell brothers (I’m just going to have to look for those two remaining stories). I also appreciated the crafty way in which she introduced a storm during the final climax.

Then there was the sex. Hot is an understatement. The scene with the chocolate and the champagne is, least to say, sizzling. It created a burning, wild fire that made heat spread through my own limbs. The little boat excursion was also dangerously provocative.

Finally, the ending to Entangled arrived and I wasn’t one bit disappointed. Once more, Ms. Fresina shows she knows her craft and tied the knot in a very sweet way.

Entangled is a must read! I breezed through its enjoyable pages in less than it took Daisy and Luke to fall in love!

For seven years, Paulie focused only on finding a cure for the feral virus, with little time for personal relationships. All that changes when hunters Sebastian and Marcus come into his life. The attraction between them cannot be denied. They are his mates, but at the same time, they share a connection that humbles Paulie. He fears intruding in their relationship. He fears becoming the third wheel.

Sebastian and Marcus have always been together, facing everything from prejudice to feral attacks as one being. But now, they find themselves in front of the most difficult battle of their lives, the battle to win their mate's heart and trust.

As Sebastian and Marcus struggle to convince Paulie of their genuine affection, the danger of betrayal crowds around them. Can the three find their shared destiny or will their enemies defeat them?

Nothing is worse than feeling like a third wheel. Sebastian and Marcus seem to have so much love for one another especially after being together for so many years. Poor Paulie cannot imagine having a place within the relationship. I could not imagine being destined to be with two partners whom have already been such a constant in each other’s lives. I related to Paulie’s apprehensiveness since I, too, would feel the same way.

The secondary characters are very likable, but can be a bit overwhelming. I did not have the pleasure of reading the previous stories in this series, which left me at a disadvantage because there are so many characters that I felt disconnected to. With that said, I can see how readers of the previous stories would love these characters and would want more of them.

This story had a very dynamic plot, which made it extremely entertaining. Not only were the main characaters trying to sort out their relationship, but they also had to deal with rogue werewolves and intolerant families. Again, since I did not read previous stories within this story I felt a little disconnected from some aspects of the sub-plots. One plot I felt completely emotionally involved in was Sebastian’s personal issues. Poor Sebastian only seemed to have his parents and Marcus in his corner. Because of his half-blood heritage, he is viewed as a misfit among his kind. While this made the story complex it is a common situation so it made the emotional connection with the characters particularly Sebastian more in depth.

This story was definitely action packed which made the time fly when reading. There was never a dull moment and for that, I would recommend this story to anyone who loves a good, sexy shifter now and then.

As engrossed as Danika generally is in her work, even she notices the underlying hostility with which the locals in the small northwestern town regard her and her research.

She notices the biker gang that arrives shortly behind her even more.

With their long hair, tattoos, and piercings, the rough group of bikers aren't the sort of men she's ever had contact with-and shouldn't want to have contact with-but they don't seem to grasp that they're not her type and she isn't theirs.

"If you see her coming, take care to tuck your ass and run!”

After I finished Wolfen I went on a mad hunt for more of Ms. Montague's books because it knocked my socks off and had me rolling on the floor laughing until I was crying.

Danika Whitney was sent by Wildlife Management to investigate reports of wolf attacks on livestock and humans in a “little out of the way hick town”. Wolves are not native to the area let alone such a large pack. Despite a good aim with a tranq gun, when she tried to embed a tracker in one of the brazen wolves that came up to her cabin, she found the tracker the next day.

Sent to take care of a werewolf problem, wolfen alphas Balin, Con, Dakota, Xavier and Jared came face to face with Danika (Dani) in town. When she finds herself surrounded by five alpha men who radiate hostility and aggression she wondered what would bring five such dominant males together. She soon finds herself in the middle of a battle between the five wolfen males who want to bed her and a whole town full of newly made werewolves.

Ms. Montague was so creative in the unique and tantalizing tale about five wolf/men who are trying to protect one woman and the humans in town from being turned into werewolves. I really enjoyed some of the original and hilarious scenes, making the story unique and a keeper. I enjoyed the tale so much that I had to stop and share on some of my online groups a few of the lines to tease my friends with as I went along. I definitely and heartily recommend this book.

When Zach McKnight, an irresistible oil rig worker with a thick-as-honey Texan drawl, first pokes into the secrets surrounding the mysterious Maddie Wells, he has no idea that the chance encounter will change his life forever. Maddie Wells is on the run with Jesse, the infant son of her murdered sister. The boy’s father isn't far behind. He wants his son and is willing to kill to get him. Zach is intrigued from the first moment he sees the dark haired beauty in a hotel, but getting his hard working hands on her delectable body is more easily dreamt than achieved. He gets shot for his trouble, by Maddie no less, and sucked into the web of lies and fear that are her constant companions.

Everything is bigger in Texas, even the cockroaches.

Hooked from the first chapter, I could not put the book down. I kept wondering what Maddie was afraid of and why she and her nephew, Jesse, were on the run. I always love to get my hands on a book like this one that is full of mystery and suspense. There is nothing like sitting on the edge of your seat eager to find out what will be revealed on the next page. This book did a beautiful job in keeping the action going and the suspense high.

When Maddie meets Zachariah, Zach for short, at a hotel bar in Galveston, she agrees to follow him to his room where things get hot and heavy fast. It was sweet and funny watching the electricity spark between the two, then die quickly after she overhears a phone call and thinks he is married Later, she ends up accidently shooting him when his sister knocks on his hotel door.

Zach soon realizes that Maddie is scared of something or someone and I found that angle only added to the mystery and was very entertaining. More so when Zach has his sisters and brothers check into her past and then lets his imagination run wild when he learns she is not who she says she is. The more time he spends with her, the harder he falls but fears that she will run if he starts asking questions.

I think every girl needs a knight in cowboy boots like Zach, a man who knows how to treat a lady; one that has a mama who can put the fear of God in all her kids no matter how old they get. Definitely a delicious tale with heat, humor, and devilish excitement to keep you enthralled until the end. Ms. Quint's did a brilliant job in bringing the characters to life and keeping this reader’s attention all the way through the story.

Sometimes people aren’t quite what they seem.

James Everett moved to a shifter town to escape his shifter-hating father. Little did he expect to catch the eye of the town’s sheriff. Louis Arktos can’t resist the new human.

Something about the other man calls to his bear shifter nature and makes him want to protect the human from all the dangers in the world. When James’ life is turned inside out, Lou rushes to save him from unexpected dangers and most of all from himself.

A romance of gigantic proportions, A Prideless Man brings readers back into the world of shifters where you will meet James, a man who lives every day in pain that has a supernatural cause and Lou, a Kodiak bear shifter who is also sheriff. Bring the two together and throw in the black market and you have a paranormal romance to delight the senses.

These characters were briefly introduced in previous books in the series and they finally get to have their own story. The plot was well thought out; the story flowed well and will keep you reading all the way through. It's a short, quick read. Like many shorter novellas and stories, this book could have been expanded. However, unlike some short stories that leave you with unanswered questions or wishing there was more to the story because of lack of detail, this book provides a well-rounded story that ties everything up neatly in a satisfying package.

Many of the books coming out today are filled with lots of sex and just enough plot to connect the intimate scenes. It was a joy to read a shorter book that had plenty of plot and used romantic, erotic encounters to heighten the story and bind the two main characters together.
