How would he begin the erotic torment of his virgin lover?

In high school, Tyler thought Evan was too young, and reluctantly he let him go, but Tyler never forgot their brief but passionate encounter.

Given a second chance, Tyler claims Evan by turning Evan’s need for orgasm control into an erotic torment that bonds their souls.

Tyler was more than worth the wait, but Evan worries when Tyler learns he sacrificed his eyesight to possess him, Tyler will be furious. But there is another who wishes to indulge his lusts upon Evan. By claiming Evan and turning him into a pain-craving submissive, the madman hopes to gain entry into the Gridiron Gods.

To thwart the villain’s plans, Evan must confess what he’s done to alter the course of Tyler’s destiny. Will Tyler forgive him, or will Evan have to pay for his crime by sacrificing Tyler’s life?

When the hands of fate are involved, anything is possible and this is true for Tyler and Evan. Defensive Guard is an enchanting love story between two young men who lost their way from one another but come together again to seal their fate with the Gridiron Gods.

I absolutely enjoyed this installment of the Gridiron Gods. Evan is blind but it doesn’t keep him down. He’s smart and funny and goes after what he wants. I loved when Tyler and Evan first met. It’s both funny and sweetly sensual.

Tyler has a bit of that bad boy male slut persona going on. He relies a lot on his good looks and his ability to get any man he wants. When he meets Evan his world comes to a screeching halt. It was entertaining reading how this sexually confidant man gets be humbled by a younger Evan.

The story moves really quick. Tyler has come to Evan for help in tutoring him in his studies. But all he wants to learn is what makes Evan tick. Within minutes of meeting they are engaging in some very erotic love acts. Ms. McLeod is fantastic at writing descriptive sexual encounters between her characters and Defensive Guard is no different.

The is a sweet story yet it has a bit of sadness as well. What Evan thinks he gave up to have Tyler is tragic but I couldn’t fault either man because ultimately they came together no matter the reasons. They both are willing to make sacrifices to be with the other.

The conflict added some suspense to this tale. I learned more of the Gridiron Gods' past and an evil villain is exposed. Definitely a page turner.

As the book drew to a close I had a smile on my face. Defensive Guard is a love story where the characters have obstacles to overcome but in the end discover what is truly important.

Defensive Guard is an excellent addition to the series. With every new book the Gridiron Gods gets better and better. The stories get more in-depth and grip you to the very end. I would recommend reading the entire series in order so as to not be confused but it is a series that you will love being sucked into.
