Collin Noonan has the world in his hands, being the youngest top executive at his firm, the envy of all men as well as the lover of many women. Collin along with some of the other executives takes part in a game, a game in which they must date a woman who is basically ‘shy, homely and undesirable’. Collin has won this game every year and this year will be no exception that is until he meets Regina Talbot

Regina Talbot is your average ‘Plain Jane’, she’s never been part of the ‘in crowd’ always keeping to herself and is extremely painfully shy towards men. She never would think that any man would be interested in her, especially that of handsome Collin Noonan.

Watch as Collin and Regina began on a road of self-discovery of themselves as well as the obstacles that will eventually causes problems for their future.

Regina was your average everyday kind of girl, she was not an extrovert and tended to become very shy when meeting new people. She would freeze up whenever she was around men and she dressed for comfort not for style. She worked in the mailroom of Nichols, Tatum and Rutherford marketing company. Her best friend Maxine helped Regina get the job in the mailroom and was also her sole supporter.

Collin Noonan was the type of man women would stop breathing for, he was handsome and knew the power he had over them. Collin was a love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy, always knowing that while he had one woman in his bed his next conquest was right around the corner. He was an executive at the marketing firm where Regina and Maxine worked. Collin along with his associates had a game they played each year where each of the men would bring a woman who they considered homely to a party. Collin has won this game every year and was expecting to win again--all he had to do is find the right woman.

A Special Kind of Woman was a wonderful story which I enjoyed immensely. I loved the characters of Collin, Regina, Maxine and Collin's Irish family. His cavalier attitude towards women was slowly changed and you saw the other side of the playboy when the one thing he didn't want to happen happened, Regina found out about the game. I also loved the introduction of Collin's nine brothers and parents, they rounded out the story and had you laughing and crying. A Special Kind of Woman was just that, special and I would recommend this book to everyone who wants to read a real love story with substance. This story wasn't just about sex, it showed how even playboys can be vulnerable and changed. How someone as plain as Regina can get a man like Collin to love them just by being herself. Jamallah Bergman had me entranced from the beginning to the end. I hope that she has plans to write stories for Collin's other brothers which I'm sure will be as good as this one. I'm sure that if you pick up a copy of A Special Kind of Woman you will enjoy it.

Uncontrolled passion ignites when Neman, an ex-Sumerian Moon god turned hunter, rescues a drunken woman from being killed by a demon. Not long afterward Vanessa finds herself pregnant, with little clue as to who the father is. Then a drop-dead-sexy man turns up on her doorstep claiming to be her baby’s father—and a god.

Neman realizes the woman he couldn’t resist, and impregnated, is part of a six thousand year old prophecy. But now, every demon ruler from hell wants Vanessa and the baby dead.

During an action packed ride, Neman must bring the prophecy to pass, and protect Vanessa. The woman gets under his skin and into his heart. She gives him a new sense of purpose, one to replace his revenge-filled, demon hunting existence.

Vanessa (Nessa) is having an extremely bad day. After coming home from her monotonous job as a Medical Records clerk, she catches her boyfriend in the act of cheating with the hot next-door neighbor. While that normally is enough to set a person off, it isn’t until he asks her if she would like to join them that she knows enough is more than enough. She finds her temporary solace at the bottom of a bottle and staggers back to her apartment a few hours later only to be stopped by the hottest guy she’s ever met. Now that wouldn’t be such a bad thing until the reality of the next morning hits and with it a migraine and no memory of what happened the night before. Nessa carries on though and decides it’s time to take out the trash – also known as her ex-boyfriend’s things. Little did she know that she was being watched and a tall, dark, and handsome knight is about to come to her rescue.

Being an immortal, ex-god turned demon-hunter does have some advantages. Like an extra sensitive sense of smell and the ability to teleport. When Neman sees the woman staggering through an alleyway on her way to what she thinks is a cat, he knows he has to step-in before the “cat” reaches her. Neman never planned on what happened next, but the mystery woman was just too delicious to resist. Even in her inebriated state, Neman found her charming and was left wanting more of her the next day. His plan was to never see her again, but fate has other ideas especially when a wanted dead or alive poster surfaces. After their explosive introduction, Neman is not be able to walk away from Nessa a second time, but can he protect from those that hunt her?

For at least a short period of time, it was nice to get lost in another world. A world filled with different beings and creatures with powers and languages all their own. However, with the storyline mostly centered on Nessa and Neman and their developing relationship, it was hard at times to understand this new world and the players in it. I am still not quite sure how everything fits, but maybe that’s a story for another time and seeing that this is a series, that could be the plan. The story never dropped the entertainment ball be it with the developing drama or the multiple scorching sex scenes with a little side male/male action. A few of the characters left me with an impression that there is much more to come from them and I definitely want to read more about them.

Although the characters were fairly well fleshed out, the dialogue was a bit rough to get into and not because there was some Aussie slang included. Some of the characters remarks or conversations felt a little disjointed and in this case I would have to say there was little too much show and not enough tell, so I didn’t always understand what was going on. There was just a lot going on in the plot and with a short timeline for the reader to discover it. However, this didn’t hinder the bedroom scenes in the least.

The story closes happily and with an overall arc still incomplete, so there is still so much more left for the reader to explore. I really enjoyed it and will be looking for more in this series and by this author in the future.

It's a few days before Christmas, and to her surprise, there's only one place Cynda Richmond, family wild child, wants to be: Village Resort in Colorado, the ski lodge her family owns. Although she initially plans to spend her holidays travelling through Greece, she decides to stay at home and keeping a close eye on Reid Weller, the lodge's general manager and a childhood friend who has never taken her seriously.

Reid Weller is content to spend his holidays and his entire life taking care of Village Resort and its guests. He's felt more at home at the resort and with the Richmond family than anywhere else, with one exception: Cynda Richmond. Since they were children, she has stirred up trouble and chaos with both him and her immediate family. He's comforted by the fact that normally she enjoys staying away from the resort and her family, especially during the holidays. So when he goes to his private chalet at the resort a week before Christmas, he's shocked to find a beautiful and naked woman in his bed. Even more surprising, the woman is none other than Cynda.

Cynda claims she wants to spend time at her family's place, but Reid knows the woman has an agenda. He'll stop at nothing to figure it out.

Cynda has always had a crush on Reid Weller. When he questions her motives, she does her best to convince him her actions are true. Beyond that, she wants him to see that her love for him is even stronger.

Can Reid take the woman seriously to see more than just an impulsive wild child? Will Cynda get the best Christmas present ever by capturing Reid's trust and love?

Reid Weller is the general manager of the Village Resort in Colorado which is owned and operated by Donald Richmond, who has know Reid since he was a boy. Reid wants to advance within the company but he has a problem in the form of Graham Iler the marketing director. Graham and Reid do not get along but tolerate one another. Graham has hope that once Donald Richmond retires he will turn the business over to him. He also wants to get his hands on Donald Richmond's daughter,  Cynda Richmond who seems a bit out of control. What Graham doesn't know is that Cynda and Reid once had a thing, and Reid's heart was broken by Cynda.

Cynda Richmond is a fly by the seat of your pants kind of girl. She was arrested for skinny dipping in the hotel pool in Las Vegas which her father saw on national TV. Cynda however has an agenda, she wants to get Reid back and will go to Colorado to try and win him back. Cynda also would like to rebuild her relationship with her dad, but is unsure if she can ever repair the damage.

O Come is a beautiful story of a man who was hurt by the woman he loved and a woman who has not stopped loving the man. Cynda also wants to open her own business but she has a secret that everyone but Reid knows about. Cynda and Reid are the type of characters a reader can invest in and root for. Cynda wanted to live each day to the fullest and Reid was a little more cautious but wanted to be with her. I loved this story, the characters and the whole premise of it. The only issue I had were some editing problems. Graham was described as a African American man but when reading whenever they referred to him they would say "she" or "her" which confused me. I had to go back to re-read the description of Graham to make sure that he was in fact a male character. This happened a few times in the story which was somewhat annoying. However, aside from that, O Come is a good read and one that I would recommend.

He lurked in the shadows, waiting for an opportunity to strike. All he wanted was the power of life. There was only way to steal it, collect the hearts of seven women and present them to the bringer of life, during the hour All Hallow’s Eve when the veil between the physical and the spiritual realms were the thinnest.

In a city where casting spells and supernatural beings were welcome, Dana had trouble quelling her gifts. With the touch of life or death, and never knowing when it would work, she avoided contact with humans and Others alike. When she rescues Simon, a handsome member of the Council, and her touch doesn’t kill, she knows he’s the one. Despite the connection they share, there’s a price. Someone will have to die.

Dana is considered a menace because she cannot control her gift and is putting others in harm's way. So she decides that since she cannot control her power then she will throw herself into the raging river, thus eliminating any future problems. Dana's power is to bring back the dead, but somehow she was having an issue focusing that power. Feeling alone, Dana decided that the only way to protect everyone was to cease to exist.

Simon could not let Dana do this especially because he was the reason the council was so hard on Dana. She saved his life but he was injured in the process which caused the council to blame Dana. Simon could not let her throw her life or gift away so he talked her down, letting her know that she was not alone and that he would stand by her side.

Love's Deadly Touch was a good but quick read, and the characters of Simon and Dana helped give the story depth. It had romance and intrigue in the form of a soul stealer which Simon and Dana had to find before All Hallows Eve. I enjoyed Love's Deadly Touch but would have liked it to be a little longer and the characters fleshed out a bit more. There were other characters in the story that I would have liked to find out more about, like her brother Danny. Maybe there will be a follow up story to this one which would explain more about Dana and her gift.

They say a guy can never be too hung. Well, Harold Jacobs doesn’t know who they are, but they’re wrong. Socially awkward for as long as he can remember, Harold feels his enormous package is just one more thing to be embarrassed about. Especially once hunky and popular Owen McKenzie notices it in the showers.

Owen knows he’s bi, but he keeps that secret close to his chest. He likes Harold, and wants to help him shed his dorky image and maybe even find a boyfriend. Still, Owen can’t stop obsessing about Harold’s equipment. And as much as he doesn’t want to flip-flop on his sexuality, Owen does want to test-drive what Harold has between his legs.

Their friendship erupts into full-blown lust. But can Owen accept the loss of his golden-child status and be Harold’s boyfriend? And can Harold outgrow his insecurity in time to keep the man he loves?

When I read the blurb for this story I will admit that I laughed pretty hard. I went into this story expecting a funny tale, and it had its moments where at the beginning I found myself laughing, especially when we meet Harold Jacobs and his problem appendage in the shower. Then I stopped and realized just how embarrassing Harold’s situation could be to a guy in communal showers especially when he was in high school. I loved Harold for his internal monologue full of so much wit and humor that you have no choice but to love him. Then enters Owen who knows he likes guys but isn’t ready for everyone else to know. I was prepared to not like Owen because of this, since I’m not always sure how to feel about stories with seemingly straight guys who turn gay. Ms. Harris pulls this off beautifully, with characters so loving and human that you can’t help but be drawn to them. I was rooting for them the whole time. I loved that Owen was at first attracted to Harold on a purely physical and lustful level only to find that Harold was an interesting and fun guy to be around.

This is the eighth book in Ms. Harris’s Men of Holsum College series and I haven’t read any of the others but if this is any indication of how the others are written, I will definitely be picking them up. She presents a college scene that is very true to my own experiences and that makes the stories just that much more enjoyable. The men are hot and witty and I would love to have been friends with them.

Pick this up if you want an enjoyable story where the men are hot and they fall in love with enough humor to not take themselves too seriously. It’s a truly beautiful love story at the core of it all, and when you toss in hot men you can’t go wrong.

Personal trainer for the ever popular, Lose it! reality show, Jillie Maxwell is up for the most important award of her career. And she’s competing against the biggest b-eye-itch she’s ever met. Fortunately for her, she has the sexiest man alive in her corner. Problem is, each and every one of them has a dirty little secret that could tank a career.

For the contestants, the race is on to lose the most weight and win everything. For the staff of the popular weight loss show, the clock is ticking to the culmination of their lies and the possibility of losing it all.

Will the Biggest Poser win? Or will the lies just grow and grow until they sink the whole show? Only one thing is certain. Whatever happens, it’s gonna be an entertaining ride!

Jillie Maxwell has been one of the trainers at the Lose It! Ranch for over three years, and has helped many in their quest to lose weight. This year she will be in competition with Deva Banks , a new trainer for the title of Master Trainer, USA. Jillie and Deva do not get along especially since Deva's demeanor is very abrasive, and Deva lets her know that she is going to win. Jillie wanted to win just to shut Deva up, and she also wanted to get to know Brandt better.

Brandt Parkerson is the new Chef who was brought in to help the contestants understand and learn how to cook tasty yet nutritious food. Brandt has been somewhat in love with Jillie for over three years and is happy that he now has the opportunity to work for her. Brandt is a chef but he also has a secret that, if it came to light, would be disastrous.

The Biggest Poser is modeled along the lines of TV's The Biggest Loser. Jillie's job is to give her team positive reinforcement and win the competition against Deva. The only problem is that someone is trying to sabotage her and the program. Deva is like Jillian Michaels, she is abrasive and hard on her team members. However, Deva is not what she seems and the finger of suspicion is pointed at her. The Biggest Poser moved somewhat slowly at first then started to pick up as the mystery as to who is sabotaging them is brought to light. Jillie and Brandt are enjoyable characters and Deva is the one you want to hate because of her attitude. The Biggest Poser was a pleasant read, this reader would have liked for it to move just a bit faster and have Deva's character fleshed out a little more.

Chaz is a drummer in a rock band who has a thing for piercings. As he leaves his friend's tattoo parlor, he bumps into a business man. Devin Sharpe is utterly irresistible. Neither man is shy about what he wants, and things progress quickly between them. When Chaz has a gig at a goth club, he never expects to see Devin there. But Devin shocks him in more ways than one.

Chaz meets Devin as he’s leaving his best friend’s tattoo parlor. Heat springs up instantly between them and after a coffee they head back to Devin’s place to explore the passion searing between them.

This is called a shot – a Torquere short story – and it certainly lives up to the name. It goes down very easily and has quite a streak of heat and zing to it. At such a short length there isn’t too much plot or characterization, but I didn’t feel stinted either. Chaz and Devin don’t feel like rushed characters or cardboard cut outs – and indeed I’d enjoy reading a longer story about them. There is depth and layers in them – as much as the brief episode allows – and it’s clear there is far more to both these men than meets the eye.

The sex is hot and fast – again as one would expect – but passionate and intense. After such a short read I felt this was like an old-school vignette, a snappy introduction to the author’s style and prose. All up this was a highly enjoyable story and I’d certainly read something else from this author.

Fleeing memories of her recent divorce and longing for some control over her life, Abigail Cosslin takes a two-week vacation at an exclusive resort that caters to its guests’ every desire. When she becomes involved with two of the resort’s mysterious, sexy owners, she doubles her pleasure, but what are they hiding?

Zachary Neville and Emmett Fallon are Nephilim who’ve been imprisoned on Earth for ninety years, and unless they fall in love with a mortal woman, they’re destined to live out eternity indulging in their favorite vices with no permanent satisfaction.

Zach and Emmett helped start Lilith’s Playground during Prohibition as a way to snub those who had a hand in their punishment, but each man longs for true love.

When they meet and seduce Abigail, hope begins to build. But will she believe their story and accept them on such terms? Or will she be lost to them forever?

Abigail Cosslin has booked herself in for two weeks to Lilith’s Playground – a hotel that caters to their client’s every desire. Upon arrival she meets the sexy Emmet Fallon who makes his attraction to her clear. Reciprocating his desire, Abigail joins him for dinner along with Emmet’s business partner and cousin, Zachary. But nothing is really what it seems, and what starts as a sexy romp to forget her ex leads to much more than she could have imagined.

I really enjoyed this author’s style. Easy and fun to read, I was quickly drawn in by both Emmet and Zachary. Neither man is what he appears to be at first and the surprises continue throughout the story. It took me a moment to catch up in places – some of the twists hit you from behind – but I thoroughly enjoyed the differences in what I originally felt would be another “adult hotel for your sexual gratification” style of book. With the plot twists and all three main characters being quite convoluted it all added up to a really interesting, fun book.

The sex is hot with mild tones of BDSM, though nothing too hard core to turn off less intrepid readers. I enjoyed how the erotic scenes added depth to the growing relationships between the characters. There was a wonderful balance between the conflicts of the plot and the steamy sex scenes – neither one overshadowed the other. I’d strongly recommend this as a naughty read to spice up an evening or two.

Tate Hamilton hates his job but has a massive crush on his boss, Markus Athel. Coming home each evening to his African grey Parrot, Jolene, makes life almost bearable for Tate. When Markus stops by Tate’s apartment after work Jolene – an extremely verbose bird – spills the beans on Tate’s feelings for Markus.

This is a short story – a Torquere shot – and so there isn’t a lot of room for plot and character development. Despite this I enjoyed the steamy encounter between Tate and Markus. There is a believable connection between them and already a level of knowledge as they have worked together, so there’s none of the usual “getting to know each other” period that can sometimes clog down the action.

While there is some fumbling between them initially “this isn’t going to affect our working relationship” style stuff – the two men come together well and they both seem genuinely attracted to each other and eager for the encounter. I would have liked to have seen a little more depth to the scene, but the sex was hot and well written. While the story ends on a good note there weren’t a lot of hints as to where the situation would lead to – either a short term affair, a lasting relationship etc. A little more closure would have been nice.

This brief interlude is merely to whet the appetite and introduce the reader to the author’s work, and I enjoyed it. The addition of Jolene the Parrot was particularly inventive and added a different flavor to a well-known style of fantasy. Overall, although short, I enjoyed this story.

Everything was supposed to work out. They had the dragon under control, they were back with the mercenaries - things were supposed to be good now. That was the plan. Then word of plague in Katsu's country arrives, and with it knowledge that will shatter everything Ashe thought he knew about his lover.

When Katsu has to make a choice between Ashe or sailing overseas to a country that abandoned him to save a beloved sister—Well, some choices are harder than others. Some are nearly impossible to make.

Ashe, an elf, and his human lover, Katsu are travelling to catch up with Ashe’s mercenary group and chosen family, when Katsu all but falls over a woman from his homeland. Ashe discovers there is far more to Katsu than he previously knew about. Katsu’s parents need help but are too proud to mend bridges and ask for it.

This is a book within a series and although I haven’t read any of the previous ones I managed to keep up quite well. Despite the title, the dragon appeared more of a familiar/separate part of Ashe and a small part of the book as a whole. Ashe and Katsu’s relationship deepens and this book is predominantly character driven, almost a stepping stone between what seems to be the last battle and an oncoming challenge. This book has set up the future of the series quite well.

I found Ashe and Katsu to be deeply complex characters and extremely interesting. While the sex was hot and intense, it also was quite a small part of the story as a whole. Although set in an alternate world, the Sci Fi/Fantasy aspect wasn’t overwhelming, and the world was richly described. At heart this book was about the blossoming depth of Ashe and Katsu, as they fall more in love, and trust one another with their secrets and bare their souls to each other. I really enjoyed seeing this and was pleased neither character was overly charming/perfect – they each have their faults and still work well and realistically together. Their love is genuine and their issues easy to relate to. I really enjoyed this book.

'Top or Bottom?' by Desiree Holt

When you think something is missing from your BDSM relationship, maybe it's time to ask 'top or bottom?'

Both Keith and Shea were looking for something a little different in the BDSM world. Their chance meeting in an adult toy store gave them the opportunity to switch for an afternoon.

But when their playtime was over, would they be fulfilled? And could they go back to their normal roles or would they still crave something more?

Reader Advisory: This book contains active BDSM play and a high degree of smuttiness.

'Mastering Maya' by Lisabet Sarai

Behind the mask of control hides a spirit aching to surrender.

Mistress Maya bears the nickname 'The Ice Queen'. Her precision in administering discipline, her skill in evoking a submissive's devotion, and her unshakable self-control are legendary in the small but active Boston kink community.

From the moment newcomer Master Shark sees Maya flogging a sub at Club Inferno, he's obsessed with her beauty and power. He'd determined to break through her defenses and bring her the same release she grants to the lucky slaves she tops. When Maya dismisses Shark as young and inexperienced, he offers her a challenge: a night together, during which he'll show her what it means to be mastered. If he fails to bring her to new heights of sensation, he agrees to become her slave.

What begins as a test of wills evolves into something deeper and more intense. As the younger man uses his insight and skill to coax Maya into submission, he comes to understand the wounded spirit hiding behind her mask of control. Can he make Maya trust him enough to surrender? Or will the flawless, untouchable dominatrix take possession of his body as well as his heart?

Reader Advisory: This book contains references to gang-rape and the ignoring of a safe word, which take place prior to the start of the book. It also contains scorching scenes of D/s and pain play.

'Wagers of Sin' by Elizabeth Coldwell

Selina will never be a true dominant until she learns to submit...and Marcus bets he can show her how.

Selina prides herself on her skills as a dominatrix, with a string of pretty slave boys as her lovers. But these affairs never last, and her equally dominant best friend, Marcus, knows she needs something more. He claims she'll never be a true dominant until she learns what it means to submit, and during a day at the races, he offers her a wager to prove it. If his horse wins, she must submit to him for a month. If it loses, he'll switch and become her slave.

When the horse takes first place, Selina's world is turned upside down. Mistress becomes servant, as Marcus puts her through her paces, issuing instructions she's forced to obey and making her endure the most public of punishments. But Selina can't deny she loves the feeling of submitting to her gorgeous friend, even as he tests her to her limits. She might have lost the bet, but has she won the love of a true master?

Reader Advisory: This book contains anal play and all the excitement of a day at the races!

'Still The One' by Wendi Zwaduk

She'll be his salvation if he's willing to switch.

Being stressed out sucks, especially when you're in charge of a team. Just ask Eric Trask. The pit crew of the Fifty-Four truck team depends on him. The stress of keeping things running smoothly is wearing Eric down. What's a guy to do to get a little relief?

Janine Walters knows exactly what Eric's up against. She's the public relations face of the team. Pressure is all a part of the job. Her outlet for stress just happens to be wielding a crop.

Can Eric embrace her methods for stress relief or will her suggestion tear their fragile relationship apart?

Reader Advisory: This book contains the use of a crop, spanking, a little bondage, a little pegging, some toys and a woman who knows how to use a strap on to pleasure her man.

'Switching Off' by Amy Valenti

With his collar around her throat and her pulse pounding through her body, can she switch off enough to submit to his every whim?

Nina loves her job in middle management—her dominant personality and organisational skills make her indispensable to her employers. But, when her boss puts too many demands on her department, she finds it impossible to leave her job at her desk and enjoy her weekend with her sexy best friend, Jon.

When Jon takes away her phone and tells her she's not allowed to check her emails until Monday morning, Nina challenges his right to order her around. His response is to kiss her into silence, then to order her to her knees. What's even more startling is that Nina finds herself obeying—though not without a fight.

Can Jon succeed in getting Nina to switch off her managerial self as well as her phone? Or will she safeword before she can reach the sublime subspace he's promised to guide her into?

Reader Advisory: This book contains BDSM play and a woman who shirks her duties at work for a kinky two-hour lunch tryst—shocking!

'Who Compels My Strength' by Lauren Gallagher

'Can switching roles restore their confidence in their Dom/sub relationship, or are these doubts happening for a reason?

After some seemingly open-minded friends turn up their noses at Bridget and Ian's kinky lifestyle, both start having doubts of their own. Ian wonders if he truly is mistreating his wife, and Bridget can't shake her friend's accusation that she's a wimp and a doormat for letting her husband beat her.

To put their worries to bed, Bridget and Ian switch roles. Tonight, she's in charge, and they're each walking in the other's shoes.

But what happens if those shoes don't fit?

Reader Advisory: This book contains Dominance/submission, pain play (nipple clamps, flogger)

Turning the tables in a BDSM relationship can get a bit dicey, but isn’t that part of the fun?

The six stories in this collection are seductive and show how delicious it can be to change roles for a night, or longer. There aren’t that many books that delve into the charged role of a switch. The ability to move back and forth between the Dominant and submissive role is exhilarating and each of these stories comes across in a different way. Part of the mystique of BDSM is the dynamic of the power exchange. What makes a top a top and a bottom a bottom? In this collection, you find your own boundaries tested as you experience situations that will have you squirming in your seat.

Top or Bottom by Desiree Holt is the first piece in the collection and the imagery was amazing. Being in an adult toy store and striking up a conversation with another customer and having things move in a kinky direction was oh so delicious. This story was the perfect beginning to the book and brought you places I was longing to go, only I didn’t know it. Hurray for the special twist at the end. No, I am not telling…You have to read this one to ferret out the hidden delights for yourself. Trust me. It will be worth it.

Mastering Maya is the second story and at once, I was captivated by Lisbet Sarai’s vision. Maya is a Domme that stays detached from her subs during dungeon play and feels the eyes of a new Dom watching from the audience. The magnetism and pride take them both in interesting directions. The name, Master Shark, was different, but it didn’t change the way I felt about the story. It was hot. The building tension between the two characters was fire hot and when they ended up at opposite ends of the flogger, things sizzled and popped.

Wagers of Sin is the third piece and Elizabeth Coldwell does an excellent job of teasing the senses with her description of a Dom having the tables turned on him and the sub taking the reins. I eagerly turned the pages on this one and could not get enough of her descriptive style.

Still the One is the fourth story by Wendy Zwaduk. This story was a little different as it has a setting in the racing world and not in the usual bondage situations. Here you have a man stressed out of his mind and erupting after his promotion into the job of manager. His friend has a suggestion that will blow his mind in more ways than one and we are happily along for the ride. This is an original story and a bit lighter than some of the other reads in this collection, but the application is still the same. Boy, isn’t it nice to see the tables turned and oh what a relief it can be.

Switching Off is story number five. It is penned by Amy Valenti and as with anything I have ever read by this author, it gets right into hot sex scenes and some pretty interesting predicaments. Management is stressful. No doubt about it. How wonderful that our heroine Nina has a Dom in the closet friend in Jon who can help her with her little problem. And take her in hand he does. Nina was a bit of a pill at first, but as Jon works her into submission, I found myself sighing contentedly wishing I could borrow him for awhile.

Who Compels My Strength is the last piece and was written by Lauren Gallagher. I enjoyed this story. What if you thought you knew somebody and had sort of, well, slept with their husband a few times in a swinger kind of way and all of a sudden they judge you for your kinky ways? People are funny. It happens all the time. When Bridget and Ian are left feeling bewildered after their dinner date goes off kilter, Bridget has a plan to turn the tables to see things from the other side of the whip so to speak. This story was imaginative and really led you into what it feels like to hold a Dom in your clutches and have your wicked way with him. Seriously. I was half taking notes.

These stories are perfect for readers of BDSM erotic fiction that want a bit of a change. It was great to see the tables turned on Doms/Dommes and see the other side of the coin is just as shiny. Absolutely stunning with imagery, sex scenes, dialog and overall emotional draw for the reader, this book has some great scenarios. The only points in the book that bothered me at all were very minor. Master Shark as a character name in Mastering Maya and Nina’s attitude in Switching Off, but neither of those things made any impact (with a flogger or otherwise) on my extreme savoring of this collection.

If you are game for a bit of a different flick of the wrist, try this collection. You won’t be disappointed. It is one of my favorite reads lately.

Seeking sanctuary could be the hottest mistake she ever made.

The TripleHorn Brand, Book 1

A lifetime ago, Zuri Prescott kicked the dirt off her boots and ditched her small-time small town for the glam city life—and lived to regret it. When she’s framed for a bank job, she lights out for home, seeking refuge with her old high school sweetheart while she figures out her next steps. Only she discovers that the boy she left behind is the last man she should trust.

Sheriff Colt Triplehorn knows trouble when he sees it, especially when it comes in the form of a familiar trespasser, caught naked between an angry bull and her underwear. Sure she’s up to her usual no good, he grants her sanctuary at his ranch—the better to keep an eye on her, and purge her from his system once and for all.

Reconnection is sweet and hot, but the heat can’t hide the truth. When Colt inevitably finds out what Zuri’s running from, it’s too late to put the fire out, and he’s got a career-compromising choice on his hands. Follow the letter of the law, or follow his heart.

A small town, the town’s golden boy, and a girl from the wrong side of the tracks, can only amount to trouble especially when love is involved.

Zuri’s middle name should have be trouble. From early on, people misunderstood her and judged her by the actions of her stepfather. They thought she was trouble and either kept their distance while whispering bad things about her behind her back or boys only wanted to get in her pants because they thought she was easy. She was a loner, but not by choice. Except there was one cowboy who refused to leave her alone even after she refused him. After finally giving in to his charms, Zuri started realizing that with him is where she belonged, but she was unsure if he felt the same. On a day that should have otherwise been a happy one for a couple of teenagers in love, Zuri finally receives the answer she’d been waiting for. Now it’s been twelve years since she last saw Colt Triplehorn, but their reunion may be too little too late.

Colt’s future changed dramatically the day Zuri walked out of his life. The hopeful young man he was grew up into the hardened sheriff he is now. Although he hasn’t seen her in a long time, Zuri still influences his life. From his mood right down to his sex life, or lack thereof, and even his brothers have taken notice. It’s Colt’s job to maintain order in the small town of Caldera and work the family ranch, but there’s something missing in his orderly life. That something appears one-day butt naked and bringing a whirlwind of trouble with her except this time, they are playing by Colt’s rules. Too many misunderstandings and hurt feelings still stand in the way, but their physical attraction and chemistry is undeniable. Colt will get his answers and Zuri will get hers, but at what cost when a robbery, a stalker, and mistrust all stand in the way?

This first in The TripleHorn Brand series, is fun, fast paced, and full of cowboy goodness! It was great to read the heroine taking the troublemaking lead in the story and give the hero a run for his money in getting her out of it. I figured that with how Zuri grew up she would be a bit harder and much more independent especially when it came to her reunion with Colt, maybe even make him work for it a little more, but that just wasn’t the case. They both have things to atone for in their relationship, but Zuri almost immediately hands over control to him and that I just couldn’t connect with. The history on their individual backgrounds and relationship is somewhat sparse, but eventually came together by the end. I was looking forward to reading more about Colt’s brothers, but not much is given on them, which of course has me searching out the next in the series.

Although each of the scenes ended somewhat abruptly, the story kept right on progressing and made it engaging to read. The sex scenes are plentiful and vital to the emotional growth of the couple, but also extremely steamy and well worth the read. I would definitely recommend this to fans of alpha male cowboys with big appetites in and out of the bedroom!

Beach volleyball player Sam Waterson knows he made a mistake--a really big one--three years ago when paparazzi interrupted his jubilant celebration with sexy Carlos Delacruz, the love of Sam's life, and with their ménage partner Drew Eversly...and Sam blamed the public exposure on the wrong man. But fate has given him a second chance to prove his prowess on the sun-baked beach volleyball court and at loving the sensual man who has unknowingly held his heart. Can he--or Carlos or Drew--win a spot on the team? But even beyond sweating it out on the court and regaining the spot they had to forfeit three years ago, can Sam win back Carlos's heart? Sam needs to show Carlos that he can spike and score where it counts...between the sheets.

Sam Waterson can’t quite get Carlos Delacruz or Andrew Eversly out of his system. After a particularly good day of volleyball trials the three men had partied on the sand, only to be interrupted by the tabloids. Thrown out of the trials, his family upset by all the media coverage, Sam went back to Montana, hoping to forget California and the two men he wanted more than anything. Now offered a second chance three years later, Sam is hoping not only to make the team, but reignite things between himself, Carlos and Drew. While Carlos and Drew are more than happy to pick up where they left off sexually, trusting Sam with their hearts and emotions comes a lot slower. So Sam determined to try and prove himself to the men, not willing to let them slip through his fingers a second time.

This is a steamy, sporty short story. The action is all-male, with a good balance between sexy M/M/M action and the politics and competitive nature of high-level sport. I liked how the villain was all bad –completely irredeemable. I also really enjoyed how the guys didn’t just fall over each other and forget their past. It added depth to the story and made it far more than just a delicious romp between team-mates. The sex scenes were well written and highly sensual. This is an excellent quick read for a sporty weekend.
