Proceed with caution when using Powertools, you just never know how hot they are going to get. Jayne Rylon’s fourth book in her Powertools series, Devon’s Pair, is smokin’ hot and exceptionally dirty! Ms. Rylon never fails to deliver the kink and the underlying drama in her books and Devon’s Pair was no exception. This book began by pulling me in on the first page with Ms. Rylon’s distinct imagery and had me completely snared by the third with the inevitable drama about to unfold.

The Powertools series began with a pairing off the Crew’s foreman Mike and the others have followed suit. I was curious how Ms. Rylon was going to deal with Neil and James in this series being that they are a couple themselves, except Neil is bi-sexual and James’ preference is guys...actually his preference is Neil. So we are given two guys who are already in love. Them we get Devon, a tomboy who works in construction too, who joins the crew as an apprentice and Neil experiences love at first sight for the second time in his life. Neil is a lucky guy, if you ask this reader.

There are a two major plot points in Devon’s Pair which are both integral parts of the story. There is the love triangle between Neil, James and Devon and their feelings for one another. There is also the on-going sharing relationship with the crew which includes the new mates of the other crew members, which is experiencing growing pains. Without revealing anything to spoil the story, let me just say that Jayne Rylon is extraordinarily talented when combining issues of the heart and writing erotic fiction. I have yet to experience anything that compares. Whew, but when this group gets together the pages ignite and a reader’s temperature rises exponentially.

Ms. Rylon has written a tight storyline that covers a lot of ground in a short number of pages; it boggles my mind how it was even possible, but somehow she does it seamlessly. This story is written from the point of view of Devon and James and I really enjoyed how Ms. Rylon incorporated their thoughts and feelings throughout. I really enjoyed the dialogue in this story as the characters banter back and forth as well as express their feelings realistically. Kudos to Ms. Rylon on her spectacular sex scenes. She has managed to pen the unimaginable and make it seem as though I was a voyeur who was unable to turn away.

Jayne Rylon fans, if you haven’t gotten your copy of Devon’s Pair, what are you waiting for? For those readers who haven’t read any of Ms. Rylon’s books and enjoy the really dirty reads that actually have a storyline, go get Devon’s Pair. You are guaranteed to find a new favorite.

Beau knows for certain he doesn’t want to lose Quinn or Rex from his life, so if he needs to play a little down and dirty to keep his band family together then that is what he will do. Beau is willing to risk it all on a night of passion with the hopes that in the light of day things will go in a positive direction for the three of them.

Chloe Cole is a new to me author and impressed me right off the bat. This was a great story that made pant with the need to read more stories by her. These three characters were well-rounded and real, and really drew me in from page one. The story flowed well, and didn’t seem too rushed or forced, plus the sex was hot and realistic and left me wanting a lot more in the end.

I will definitely be looking for more works by Chloe Cole and I know she will make a great addition to anyones keeper shelf.

Daniel Coleman is a cowboy recovering from a bad breakup that left him feeling less than whole and fueld the desire to make a change in his life. Daniel met a woman in a Calgary bar that he cannot seem to shake from his mind but she gave him a fake name and number and he had no way to track her down. Skip ahead a few months and Daniel finds the beautiful woman not only living on his family’s ranch but she is sleeping in his old room; it seems fate has brought her back to him. Beth and Daniel’s story is heartwarming and beautiful as Daniel seduces not only Beth’s body but her mind as well. Daniel wants more than heart-stopping sex from Beth, he wants to be her friend. Beth wants non-vanilla sex, the opportunity to raise her boys without fear and to be in control of her life. The evolving relationship with Beth and Daniel was touching because they each have their own emotional scars to overcome and as they come to know one another they heal each other.

Rocky Mountain Haven is a delightfully written erotic romance that will have readers wanting more from Vivian Arend. The writing is superb; Ms. Arend uses the point of view of both of her main characters to portray the developing feelings of each. Ms. Arend’s use of genuine and realistic dialogue keeps readers emerged in this story of fated lovers. The love scenes were written with exacting detail that left me feeling hot and flustered. Ms. Arend writes love scenes that are sweet and still very erotic. I really liked Ms. Arend's writing style; this story flowed so smoothly that when I reached the end I was left feeling content and pleased with the outcome.

This series had me hooked when I discovered that the setting was a place I am familiar with and this doesn’t normally happen for me. I found that Ms. Arend stayed true to the area with her descriptions and the reality of the surrounding areas and the need to travel outside the small town of Rocky Mountain House. Ms. Arend did a fabulous job of keeping it real, I felt like if I jumped in my car and drove to Rocky I could see this story play out in front of me.

For those readers who like stories with cowboys, hot love scenes and emotional writing I suggest you start reading this series, you will absolutely love it. Vivian Arend has brought together all of these things plus a slice of Canada to her readers and you do not want to miss it. I cannot wait for the next in this series!

Neon Carter is a catch. At least, that’s what the ladies apparently think. All they seem to want is a quick trip down the aisle, but Neon’s in no rush to settle down. Light-hearted summer loving with a sexy blonde is something different, though, and Neon’s happy to offer his services until Merle has to return to England.

The weather’s hot, the sex even hotter. But when it’s time for Merle to go home, they both realize they’re in deeper than they thought. And there’s no solution that won’t break someone’s heart.

I am going to be honest here and admit that I got this book by mistake. I had asked for a different book, with a similar title, but since it was sent to me, I promised to review. I have to say, it was the best mistake that’s ever happened to me, as I would otherwise have missed one of the best holiday books I have ever read.

A holiday trip to visit her sister in New Zealand seems like just the thing to Merle Cameron. After a rough year coping with her job, and helping her mom through her battle with breast cancer, all Merle wants is to lie in the sun and forget everything. Maybe find a nice guy and have a quick fling, before heading back to England to take up her responsibilities once again. Holiday sex isn’t permanent, after all, just some quick and harmless fun with someone she will never see again.

When she meets fireman Neon Carter, he seems to fill the bill quite nicely: sex on two very well proportioned legs, and commitment phobic in the extreme. Neither of them is looking for happily ever after, so this should be perfect. Too bad nobody told their hearts not to get in the game. Now, Merle has to return to England, leaving her heart in New Zealand as she faces the reality of her responsibilities back home. And Neon never counted on falling for the woman who was walking out of his life for good, leaving a hole where his heart should be.

I adore the world Ms. Woods has built here, with real and charismatic characters, and a delightful location. I loved how she included a bit of a travelogue along with this romance, and I felt like I could see these places through Merle’s eyes as Neon gave her the tour.

Merle Cameron is strong and smart. She is a lecturer, and has also been shouldering the burden of her mother’s illness. She needs a break. I loved that Merle wanted to try and experience as much as possible to build memories to take home. I enjoyed watching as she fell under Neon’s spell, and cried with her when she realized what he had come to mean to her, knowing as she did that she had to leave him. I also loved how she was willing to push her boundaries to make this a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience.

Neon Carter is a strong and courageous character. As a firefighter, he leads his men and works hard. So when he plays, he plays hard, too. He is not interested in a forever love, and tries to make sure any of his romantic partners know this up front. I love that he refuses to play the ‘I love you’ card to get women to be with him, and tries very hard not to lead them on. He is honest and up front about his intentions. I loved watching as he realized Merle wasn’t just another fling to him, and liked his determination to find a way for them to be together.

This is a sizzling hot romance, played out all over the New Zealand locale. These two find places to be together and each encounter is hotter than the one before. The secondary characters are as well defined as the main ones, and I loved Merle’s sister Bree and her new husband Jake. I hope to read their story someday.

I loved the interplay between Bree and Merle, and I found the relationship between Neon and his cousin Jake hilarious at times. When the women make a bet, they don’t know that the men have made one as well, and it was fun to see who would win first. Merle’s mother was the epitome of the controlling and slightly conniving mother who places her happiness and desires above her daughter’s.

Do Merle and Neon find a compromise for their happy ever after? You need to read White Hot Christmas for yourself, to get the answers to all the questions. But once you start, make sure the fan stays on high, because this is one very hot Christmas story.

One of the hallmarks of Ms. O'Malley's writing is her stellar characterization. I enjoyed the characters very much. Both Aaron and Bronwyn are likable, if not flawed, main characters. This book runs the gamut of emotions. Love. Lust. Deception. Anger. Bitterness. Forgiveness. I became completely invested in them, and had no problem cheering for their HEA. The general premise of the story was great. While I truly liked this book, there was one issue that kept it from being everything I've come to expect from this author. I love Tierney O’Malley’s work and have read a lot of her books but this story too much on the past and not enough on the present story. Usually a book with lots of detail can draw me in, but the characters spent so much time dwelling on the past that the present didn’t stand a chance. I guess what I'm saying is that I'd have liked to have seen a more even distribution of past and present rather than it being so past-heavy.

The thing that keeps bringing me back to Ms. O’Malley’s writing is the way she draws a reader in with her characters and the situations they get into. Investing in her as an author to enjoy is a smart choice and one that I will make again in the future.

Author Heather Rainier continues to solidify her incredible story telling talent with the Seventh installment to the Divine Creek Ranch Series. Summer’s Indiscretion is a delicious sensory overload that I couldn’t seem to put down. I met and fell in love with Summer in Maya’s Triple Dare. It was apparent even then that she was soft hearted and often under-appreciated by the men she dated. Her clever tongue, easy going sense of humor and refreshing optimism won me over and had me anticipating the story that would reward her with a stunning HEA. Ms. Rainier did not disappoint when she paired Summer with Ace and Kemp.

As I mentioned, Ace and Kemp are more than co-workers, they have a history that forged a tight bond of brotherhood. In a word, they complement one another: Where Ace is a quiet and intense, Kemp is more open and expressive. Each time they sweetly addressed Summer as “Kitten” or “Darlin’” my heart couldn’t help but give a silent sigh as it melted.

Ms. Rainier doesn’t leave her readers in the dark about what makes her heroes tick. One of the elements of her writing that I really appreciate is how she sprinkles in the past all throughout the story rather than sending the reader on a dizzying time warp. Her characters are carefully plotted out and readers are treated to advance teasers of upcoming stories by including simple but non-distracting asides. In Summer’s Indiscretion we are gifted with some insight into Lydia, Chase and Clayton’s story as well as the fun holiday romp recently released for Duke, Gage and Dr. Emma Guthrie.

As always, Ms. Rainier accentuates her stories with a fun and cheeky soundtrack. I wasn’t much of a country music fan until I started visiting Divine, TX on a regular basis. Now, I actually find myself checking Youtube for the latest videos by Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean and Big & Rich. Don’t be surprised to find yourself humming the seductive words to “Steal You Away” as you read Ace, Kemp and Summer’s story. Each new story that comes out of Divine is sweet and sexy and sure to fuel some fantastic dreams. Spend some time getting know Ms. Rainiers unique town. The men are sensual, strong and protective and the women are…Divine.

Hot for Santa is exactly that, HOT. It is so erotically charged that I was feeling the effects hours after reading this story. Ms. Alexander has penned an exceptionally well written short story that was quick and easy to read. It was written from both characters’ point of view so I was completely emerged in this story. The dialogue was realistic and injected with humor. The friends to lovers premise was believable, especially considering the events that unfold. Ms. Alexander never ceases to amaze me with her ability to write sex scenes that are extremely erotic and titillating.

Hot for Santa is a great holiday read for those cold nights when you want to warm up fast and enjoy a truly excellent erotic short story with a little humor and a lot of kink. Leave the hot cocoa in the pantry, you are not going to need it for this story, in fact you will probably need to run outside and jump in a snow bank after reading Hot for Santa. Quick, go get this book now, if you read it right away, I am sure Santa will forget how naughty it was by next Christmas!

The chemistry between the main characters is hot, fun and filled with interpersonal twists and interesting dimension. Ms. LaFleur makes this vacation sound like a magical experience that everyone would love to have in their life and adds the intense element of beginning love and sexual adventure on top of that.

I enjoyed each character in the story fully. The author brings these people to life with her richly worded details, painting them with such accuracy that they seem to be standing in front of you. She’s showed up on his secluded island with a boat-load of heartache, a terrible knack for losing her grandmother’s watch, and a pent up passion just begging for release. Rekkus has no doubt he’s just the tiger to tackle Dana’s neglected intimacy issues, but is he willing to accept the whole kit and caboodle that comes with it?

Dana just left the love of her life standing at the altar. Last minute cold feet? Apparently not, since her groom seemed to share the same ailment. Though their parting was mutual, it still left her grieving for what should have been. Her best friend has dragged her to some crazy island where sex is the driving focus and all she wants to do is crawl in bed and let her depression take over. But the staff of the Wiccan Haus have other ideas for both Dana and Rekkus. Like it or not, their destinies are intertwined. If Rekkus is willing to let go of the past and Dana is willing to trust in her heart, together, they might just discover the power of love.

Ms. Eastwick does a wonderful job of bringing two characters from completely different backgrounds together into an explosive climax—both sexual and emotional. Poor Dana is thrust into a world of creatures that she never knew existed, only to discover that there’s been a bit of magic in her life for many years. Rekkus is a brooding, alpha male determined to fight commitment tooth and claw, until he finally gives in, then he’s willing to jump in with both feet. The reader gets to see him go from an “in charge” kind of guy, to submissive to Dana’s needs, wants, and wishes. It’s a nice change. View point, grammar, and punctuation are handled very well. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and would likely read it again.

Take one tough tiger shifter; a timid, less-than-perfect female; a handful of paranormal misfits, add a little bit of magic, and you get a scrupulously entertaining story filled with witty humor, primal attraction, and some good old fashioned romance. Grab a copy of Shifting Hearts by Dominique Eastwick, you won’t be disappointed.

Andrei found her on Facebook. Natalia wasn't sure she wanted to rekindle the past. But what if he turned out to be the one man who could bring her to her knees?

This quick read will leave you wanting more. While on her social networking site Natalia finds herself reconnecting with Andrei. It has been years since they have spoken. Yet that spark and the connection seems to still be there. Can she get what she needs from Andrei or will he disappoint like the men before him?

I enjoyed meeting both Andrei and Natalia. They make a nice couple. I would have liked a bit more character development with them though. Writing a short story with good development can be a challenge, and I understand that, but it would have been nice to know a bit more of their history and what had happened between Natalia and the previous boyfriend who was mentioned.

There's more of a challenge for the author, because everything that happens is through text and phone in this story. It was a unique spin, but I would had liked to see just where there relationship went and to see if they really are as compatible in real life as they seem to be on the phone. I really liked Andrei and Natalia and hope that this is not the last we get to see of them.

The author did a wonderful job of bringing the tale to life. I cheered the couple on and hoped for them to get that happy ever after that they are looking for. Natalia is a strong woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it and Andrei seems like just the man to give it to her.

I enjoyed this author’s style as well and will be looking for more from her in the future.

Annalee Wells is innately programmed to keep a constant rhythm. She’d been a competitive drummer in college and it was the best time of her life. She high-stepped through her university years and planned a bright future in veterinary medicine. Her future veered off course when her father was stricken ill. She went home to help him die and her rhythm has been off ever since.

When a fun-loving golden retriever enters her pet-grooming salon with a handsome man on the other end of the leash, her heart plays a forgotten cadence. She’s immediately smitten with the dog, and a little star struck when she learns that her new client, Tango, is the drum major for the best drum and bugle corps in the Midwest. When he asks her to join the notably all-male group, she’s blown away.

Is this the very thing that will bring the heartbeat back to her life? She’d let go of all her dreams when her dad died. Maybe Tango and the Blue Devil’s drums could bring them back.

What a unique story! It’s about dog grooming, drill teams and yes, lots of romance, too. I liked Annalee from the beginning. She came across as a real life character running a dog grooming business, and in walks Tango with his dog. At first I thought he might ditch the dog with her and the story would progress from there with maybe her trying to track him down, but was more than relieved when he showed up and found out these two had lots in common.

One thing that struck me was the story seemed to have all the makings of a classic romance, boy meets girl, girl thinks he’s not interested, and maybe he likes the best friend better; but what made it unique was Ms. Judson put a unique spin on the whole thing. She had all characters as part of a drill team and also took it up a couple of notches with some steamy sex scenes.

This story has good pacing, natural sounding dialogue, and characters I liked and cheered for. Rain, hence the title, is also a major factor in this story which had me wanting to curl up under a blanket and something hot to drink while I read this story. It’s an quick read that I enjoyed.

Opposites attract and sparks fly when bad boy Rafi meets older man James. James is in a rut every since his last boyfriend dumped him for a hotter, richer man. So he doesn’t quite believe that sexy young Rafi could or would be interested in him. It takes some work but James realizes what a great guy Rafi is. The only problem is James may have figured this out too late and his past betrayal may stop his future with Rafi.

It’s Not Shakespeare is a fun and light story about two very opposite men that meet and mesh their lives together. Rafi and James are both well developed, three-dimensional characters with a lot of interest. Rafi comes from a very religious family with conservative views. James is from a wealthy, much more liberal background. The two men blend their differences pretty well with a minimum of angst and problems. Despite the fact they are from two different cultures and have very different experiences, the men spark immediately and fit together pretty effortlessly.

The story glides along without many problems, although there are a few side trips into unnecessary details and side issues, and tries to inject some tension with James’ inability to completely commit and the racial differences. For the most part I didn’t really buy into either of these problems as they feel too superficial and weakly presented to hold the tension and conflict the story is aiming for. The couple is basically drama free up until the near end when an argument appears nearly out of the blue and Rafi reacts in a very immature way. Other than this, the couple meet, fall in love, and live happily ever after. It’s a very easy, breezy story with not much angst.

Due to the fact that I couldn’t quite believe the made up tension, this story didn’t win me over entirely. It is, however, fun and very easy to read with the pages flying by. There is a lot of good detail about Rafi’s culture and some well crafted family scenes that really stand out. It’s a nice enough book to read and fans of the author should especially like this one.

The search leads them to a sex club used for blackmailing the city’s most powerful, and soon Jake finds himself hip deep in sex and danger—it’s a good thing he’s no stranger to slogging through either.

Fans of classic Film Noir and hard hitting private detectives of old will get a kick out this little treat, The Little Death.

Many years ago, my great-aunt gave me an old dime store novel by Mickey Spillane who created an indelible character well loved by mystery readers, Mike Hammer. That character was very distrustful of people no matter the profession. Everyone was suspect and the flavor was always smoky, dark and gritty as the character walked within the dark gray areas of society. Ms. Speed has provided her own version of that misanthropic P.I. in the form of Jake Falconer. If the author has set out to capture the flavor of a man disenchanted with life but who keeps on going just to tweak the noses of ‘authority’, then she’s succeeded.

Jake is a hard man. He drinks like a sotted fish, makes no apologies for his appearance or attitude and is his own worst enemy. It was hard to be sympathetic towards him because he’s so ornery but by the same token it’s why I liked him. He’s a smart-mouthed tough-guy who hides any softer feelings with acerbic wit and insults and yet, he’s fair and has a code of honor and ethics all his own. And, he’s in love. But he won’t ever say the words. There was just something about his character that I enjoyed that I can’t quite put my finger on. Maybe it was because he wasn’t all pretty and perfect and vanilla. He has vices, he has a dubious sexual code, meaning, if there’s an itch, it’s meant to be scratched, and he is a bit slovenly. He’s certainly not my ideal candidate for a white-knight-on-a-horse hero but he is a hero nonetheless; it's just that his armor is a bit tarnished, dented and well worn.

The plot is basic – who is trying to kill who and why? It’s a mystery with lots of action, mostly poor Jake getting the business end of a fist or two, or three. The secondary characters flit in and out of chapters providing motivation, red herrings and conflict. The romance angle is more romantic elements than outright romance. Kyle is the man who actually holds Jake’s heart but for some reason he keeps the hunky cop at a distance. That adds another level to the hero’s character – emotionally tortured individual who doesn’t think he’s good enough to be loved. Based on what I read, he certainly doesn’t make it easy but I think loving Jake would be worth it, if you had a thick skin. And, I do have hope for him because when he kisses Kyle, the words he uses told me what I needed to hear.

The novella is written in first person point of view and the dialogue is as hard-hitting as one would expect from a man who does what he does for a profession. Jake and Kyle do physically connect but Jake just fills a reader in -- the scenes are behind closed doors. He’s private that way. His delivery reminded me of the old Dragnet T.V. series, “Just the facts, Ma’am”.

This tale is fast moving and the author has some descriptive passages that read like poetry. Not flowery mind you, more like testosterone laden and filled with action words. It fits the main protagonist and gives a reader insight into his world. There is even some self-depreciating humor that was delivered in such a dry manner, it cracked me up. Jake is cool.

The Little Death is full of swagger, action and attitude. It’s populated with people who live on the dark side and the only person able to make them toe the line of justice is someone who can smack them back with that bit of darkness roiling inside himself. Jake has a love interest but until he loves himself I fear poor Kyle is in for a rough time of it. I’m hoping for Jake’s redemption, or at least a solid try at A.A. but the best I can hope for is for Jake to stumble into another mystery. Why? So I can get another chance to see where Ms. Speed is going to take his romance with Kyle and what can of worms Jake is going to open next because something tells me that’s one jackpot he’s more than likely to win.

This man is someone that she should be afraid of; he could derail her entire career if she lets him. Maybe letting her inner vixen out will be just the thing that she needs to get her focus back and make Beau see that they aren’t made for each other. Will one night be enough for the two of them, or when the daylight comes will they both realize that something great could be starting between them?

With Gigi’s past and Beau’s track record it is going to be an uphill battle, will they make the commitment or just walk away with the memories of great night in each other’s arms?

Having a chance to read an entire series in one sitting is something that I don’t get to do all that often, but these characters were ones that I wanted to get to know better and when that opportunity presented itself I couldn’t turn it down. I was hooked from the moment I started book one (Convincing Quinn) and had to know what happened in book two. I was completely invested in the characters and book two did not disappoint. It only made me love this author more.

Some series the stories seem to be disconnected or so connected you can't read just one, but Chloe Cole made this so that you could read it alone as a standalone book or as part of the series and still get the same great story.

I can't wait to see what's next from this author. I'm a fan.

Another vampire book you say? I’ve been reluctant to read another one but am very glad I chose Eversong because it’s part vampire/paranormal, part mystery/thriller. I haven’t read any of the other books in the Midnight Playground series, but this one has piqued my interest.

The opening plunges you right into the story. Mercy, who was changed against her will, sits on a beach in Spain and feels all alone but spots Deo. It’s set in the future which I felt gave it a different twist to the ones in an historical setting. All three characters are sexy. Deo and Mercy seem ideally matched when Ever enters into the picture and things really heat up.

The first part of the book is hot and steamy and there are plenty of sex scenes, but then the book takes on its thriller, mystery element. By then you’ve got a vested interest in these characters. Lives are in danger and the vampire responsible for turning Mercy comes on the scene and nothing is the same.

The pacing is snappy -- you’ll be able to read this in one sitting -- and the dialogue is natural sounding.

If you’ve been wondering if you should try yet another vampire tale, this might be the one you’ve been waiting for. Pick up a copy of Eversong for the heat and the excitement. I don’t think it will disappoint you.

He needs his space and freedom, but he'll do whatever it takes to make Luc happy, including giving up his space and freedom to make Luc's holiday one he'll never forget -- complete with the real Santa, peppermint candy, and lots of hot sex.

Megan Slayer has brought back the band Glow, this time focusing on Luc and his lover Taygan, an air elemental.

It’s Christmas, and all Luc wants is to be with the man he loves. But Taygan has been gone for a while, and Luc plans to head home and be by himself this Christmas Eve.

When his sister and Zac drag him to the after concert Christmas party, they insist he sit on Santa’s lap and tell him just what he really wants for Christmas. Luc feels like a fool, but does it anyway, just so he can get away and go home to be alone.

Taygan is an air elemental, and needs to be free to follow his element. Too bad he also loves Luc, and doesn’t feel complete without him. That is why he set up the whole Santa thing, so he could surprise Luc, and try to work out their differences. He’s even brought rope and a peppermint stick to use for some, shall we say creative play? Can a full human and an elemental find middle ground to be together? Is Luc the counterpart to Taygan, his true mate? Can these two settle their difficulties and find happiness together?

I love the unique mix of fantasy and reality Ms Slayer brings to her stories, and this one is no different. I enjoy seeing where each of her characters is going, and the openness of their feelings and relationships. I like that she sets her stories in a real location, Ohio, and not some mythical land of fantasy and magic.

Luc is fully human, and the talented front man for Glow, the local and successful band. He writes the songs, and does the pyrotechnics for the band, but has no magic in him. He loves Taygan, but realizes he can’t hold him when his element needs to be free to move like the currents of air around them. I love Luc’s mix of sensitivity and domination, his kinky side so compatible with his humanity.

Taygan is an air elemental; needing to be on the move, to follow his element. But he loves Luc, and wants to find a way for them to be more than just occasional lovers. He needs the control that Luc brings to the relationship, and yet, he needs to let his element be free. I enjoyed the way he was able to surprise Luc, using Santa to bring them back together. And I loved the candy cane creativity, the unique way Luc and Taygan put it to use.

This is a love story, one of lovers reuniting for the holiday, and finding what they want for Christmas. The characters are well defined, and both men are hot and sexy. I enjoyed seeing Atria and Zac again, and look forward to more in this unique world that Ms. Slayer has built around Ohio, and the band, Glow. This is a great short read and something to warm up a cold winter night.

I think I’ve said this about every Texas Siren book but this truly may be my favorite…so far! Bethany “Mouse” Hobbes is such a loveable and honest character she won me over immediately. She has always been the soft spoken, often overlooked, comfortable fixture in the town of Deer Run and rightfully earned the nickname “Mouse”. Having said that, when Ms. Oak first introduces us to Mouse she had just taken the first steps, on her own I might add, in securing a future for herself. In my mind, after reading the book, this was a very important piece of the story because it meant that she was ready for change when it presented itself. She simply needed the guiding and strong hand of a Dom to give her the confidence to pursue her dream.

Speaking of the Dom, Trev McNamara, broken ex-football star and recovering drug and alcohol addict, couldn’t have been more perfect for both Beth and Bo. In true Sophie Oak fashion, Trev’s story begins with a tie-in from one of Ms. Oak’s first books. Anyone who has read either the Texas Siren or Bliss stories is used to crossovers between these two fantastic series. Without giving too much away, I have to say I did not expect to see the familiar face that sets Trev on his path to true love and one incredible HEA. Trev isn’t looking for one sub, much less two, when arrives in Deer Run but he can’t deny the chemistry he immediately feels for Beth or his desire to take Bo in hand.

It’s not uncommon for a hero or heroine to have personal growth as a story progresses. Really, it’s pretty much expected when it’s romance. The challenge, in my opinion, is for the author to make that growth both believable as well as tangible to the reader. Ms. Oak certainly succeeded with Beth, Trev and Bo. Each character has emotional challenges and/or personal demons to fight. At the same time what they individually bring to the D/s relationship is vital and necessary for the success of all involved. One example of the well developed and gradual change is how Beth begins the story as Mouse but is anything but a mouse by the conclusion. And it only required the “threat” of a good figging, LOL.

One of the stories I’ve been anticipating, very impatiently I might add, is Leo Meyer’s tale. Ms. Oak knows how to keep her fangirls happy by nicely setting the stage for Leo, Shelley and Wolf to fight for their HEA somewhere in the near future. I CAN’T WAIT!!!

Even if you are new to the Texas Siren’s books you can enjoy Trev, Beth and Bo’s story. There are quite a few names and faces that pop into the story and it certainly makes more sense if you’ve read the other books but it isn’t at all necessary for enjoying Siren in Waiting. Ms Oak is an amazing story teller and will have you coming back again and again.

From Rimbaud to Buzzcocks to Malbec to handcuffs, they introduce each other to their favorite pleasures, and the chemistry is unstoppable. Etienne may be shy and quiet but he’s got just the right amount of heat to thaw bad boy Brady. Punk Rocker Brady has a secret - he can control elements to chill the air into ice. He also has a shady family that keeps trying to get him to do illegal jobs. Bookseller Et doesn’t know any of this but he does know his chemistry with Brady is off the charts. Despite the hard-core exterior Et sees something vulnerable and worthwhile in Brady if only their pasts don’t screw it up.

Riot Boy is a fast paced, fun filled ride filled with sex and a bit of the paranormal. Brady is a perfect goth punk boy with his attitude, shady past, and great punk references. Et is a perfect foil as a more staid and down to earth bookseller with a broken heart. Together they play off each other well and create some dynamic tension. Their chemistry is what really drives the story and there is a lot of sex in this novella. Almost too much as most of the action and character development happens during sex. This isn’t bad as the writing and sex scenes are entertaining and smoking hot, but it does leave any significant plot development to happen off page. The reader is simply told about it later.

This is perhaps where the story has a few weaknesses. Although it’s great fun to read and the characters are delightful, the actual plot and world building is pretty sparse. The paranormal element, in which Brady can control and manipulate the air to turn it colder, is almost non-existent. The story doesn’t try to explain or really delve into this aspect at all and if anything, it comes across as distracting and unnecessary. Likewise all important plot developments happen off page. Most of the story builds up to Brady’s showdown with his family but all the story does is recap what happened while Et (and presumably the reader) were asleep. It’s unfortunate since the writing has a real knack to it that such important plot detail is omitted.

Despite this issue I’d still recommend Riot Boy. It’s very enjoyable to read and filled with sex so anyone wanting something very erotic will be satisfied. It has a fun flair that lets you sink into the story and enjoy regardless of any other problems. While it’s not perfect, this is still an entertaining and worthwhile read.

The futuristic technology is fantastic, and the characters are all well crafted and complex. I love this world, and the people who live here - the good, the bad and those who straddle the fence between the two.

The demon Armageddon created chaos in the world. Fifty years later, life is lived in virtual reality, and in underground cities. Summoners and half bloods live apart from humans, surviving the best they can manage. There’s money to be had if you are brave enough, or foolhardy enough, to provide services to both sides.

Devi and her crew are truckers, bringing much needed supplies to the humans in their underground cities; and to the outcasts, she offers valuable commodities as well. When the humans jeopardize her crew and her livelihood by planting a spy in her transport to the Rochester settlement, Devi has to make a decision: leave the area or join with the outcasts at the settlement, at least temporarily, to regroup and clear her reputation.

Once she meets Zel, the half blood leader of Rochester settlement, she feels something that hasn’t happened to her before: desire, strong and not easily ignored. When it becomes obvious Zel feels the attraction as well, Devi decides to stay a while and explore this new thing happening between them.

Devi is independent, strong and courageous, leading her small band of truckers through the wasted landscape that used to be Minnesota. She has a strong sense of loyalty to her friends, the people she trusts. She only has one rule: don’t mix business with pleasure. But Zel tempts her more than anyone ever has. When things start to heat up, Devi decides some rules just aren’t worth preserving. I love Devi, with her strong sense of loyalty to those she calls friend. I also love her open mind, willing to give folks a chance, regardless of their heritage.

Zel is strong, handsome, and all male. His father was a demon, but Zel never knew him. The man who raised him and cared for him was fully human, and Zel honors his memory by leading the settlement the way he believes he would have wanted. He has a strong sense of loyalty, and will fight to protect what is his, whether it is friends or the settlement itself. When Devi gets under his skin and things start to get crazy, Zel has to keep her safe from both sides. I love Zel, and his wicked sense of honor and loyalty. I love his possessiveness once he decides that Devi is his, and the lengths he will go to ensure the safety of everyone under his watch, including Devi and her crew.

Hammer Down is part of a new series from Moira Rogers, and I love the atmosphere of this new world. The action in this kept me on the edge of my seat as I read, and the scenes between Devi and Zel are hot beyond volcanic. The secondary characters are all strong and I hope to see more of them as the series grows. There are several sub plots here: what are the humans after? What is Tanner? Are all of Devi’s crew really fully human?

I found the demon code of honor as followed by Zel’s true father to be interesting, and hope that he finds a way back at some point in time too. Hammer Down is a hot look at life after the demon apocalypse, and filled with action, passion and danger. If you like your romance with a hard edge and a thread of danger, this is definitely for you.

The authors created a unique plot with this story.

Anna was born for the sole purpose of the power her aberration brings, yet the same aberration made her family members fear her. This created a cold calculated individual who was raised with little to no affection. Anna seemed almost robotic due to her strict upbringing. This quality, while helpful when you are raised to be a killer, sometimes left me feeling disconnected from her character. I wanted just a little bit more emotion from her instead of everything being decided in a logical fashion.

Even though Anna had been raised to follow the orders of family members, I enjoyed it when she began to question the validity of their decisions. It was interesting to watch her grow as she not only questioned authority but started making decisions on her own, mixing logic with understanding. I think that the internal conflict with Anna as well as the external conflict between her and her family added a certain depth to the story that increased my enjoyment.

Anna knew that her aberration was unique, which is why she was so shocked when she found Isak Arnesen standing over the man she was sent to kill, Mex O’Riley. While Anna knew little about who and what she was, Isak seemed to have a full understanding of who he was and what he wanted out of life. Isak’s personality, while a little stronger than Anna’s, also lacked emotions. I do not know if this was due to his solitary lifestyle or the Varelse blood that coursed through his veins.

Of all the characters in this book, I enjoyed O’Riley the most. He seemed to have that spark that would attract people to him whether good or bad. He reminded me of that one friend we all have that we usually don’t even like but for some reason we keep them around because they add a certain excitement or pizzazz. He also seemed to have the unique ability to defuse a situation no matter what the cause. Whether it be playing dead or sassing a killer, O’Riley was truly entertaining.

The relationship development in this story was consistent and smooth. While the validity of the feelings were sometimes questionable due to Anna and Isak’s lack of emotional response, there was never a question that these three complemented one another. The authors did a great job in demonstrating the attraction between all the main characters even when O’Riley and Anna seemed to be enemies. Additionally, the sexual encounters between these characters really left me on the edge of my seat. While Isak and O’Riley never had intercourse with each other they did demonstrate an interest for one another and sneaked a few kisses here and there.

While this story had its ups and downs, I think that the unique paranormal element of the Varelse, antagonistic conflict, and sexual tension made this story amusing and fascinating. Anyone who likes an unusual twist on paranormal erotic novels will find this story entertaining.

There are authors that just get it. They leave you wanting more even after they have satisfied you with their latest book. There are not many that can do that and when you find one, hold on and do not let go. I have found such a one with this author. Every time I read a Master of the Shadowlands book, I know that it will not only be a hot read but it will also take me on an emotional roller coaster ride. To Command and Collar does not disappoint. Once again I fell in love with the characters and kept hoping that they would find their happy ever after.

Just like Kim, I fell head over heels for Raoul. He is such a wonderful man and a great Dom. He understands what Kim needs and will only push her so far. Seeing such a big man show his heart was a great read. I adored Kim as well. She is such a strong woman and overcomes so much. Watching their relationship build and grow was a great experience. The trust and love that develops between Raoul and Kim was a beautiful thing to see. I loved watching each of them not only deal with their fears but also fight for the love that they share. As the two struggle to find ways to expose the men behind the illegal slave trade, they find themselves dealing with their own battle with their hearts.

I really enjoyed the interaction between not only the main characters but the secondary ones as well. I was able to visit with old friends and see just what they have been up to as well as getting a glimpse at some new beginnings. I loved the two FBI agents, Kouros and Vance, and cannot wait to see what will happen with them. The love and friendship that I saw throughout this book is great. Not only did I get the romance between Kim and Raoul, but I also got to see the depth of the friendships between everyone.

Just as I knew I would, I loved To Command and Collar and getting to visit the world of the Masters once again was awesome. I cannot wait for the next one.

I absolutely enjoyed this installment of the Gridiron Gods. Evan is blind but it doesn’t keep him down. He’s smart and funny and goes after what he wants. I loved when Tyler and Evan first met. It’s both funny and sweetly sensual.

Tyler has a bit of that bad boy male slut persona going on. He relies a lot on his good looks and his ability to get any man he wants. When he meets Evan his world comes to a screeching halt. It was entertaining reading how this sexually confidant man gets be humbled by a younger Evan.

The story moves really quick. Tyler has come to Evan for help in tutoring him in his studies. But all he wants to learn is what makes Evan tick. Within minutes of meeting they are engaging in some very erotic love acts. Ms. McLeod is fantastic at writing descriptive sexual encounters between her characters and Defensive Guard is no different.

The is a sweet story yet it has a bit of sadness as well. What Evan thinks he gave up to have Tyler is tragic but I couldn’t fault either man because ultimately they came together no matter the reasons. They both are willing to make sacrifices to be with the other.

The conflict added some suspense to this tale. I learned more of the Gridiron Gods' past and an evil villain is exposed. Definitely a page turner.

As the book drew to a close I had a smile on my face. Defensive Guard is a love story where the characters have obstacles to overcome but in the end discover what is truly important.

Defensive Guard is an excellent addition to the series. With every new book the Gridiron Gods gets better and better. The stories get more in-depth and grip you to the very end. I would recommend reading the entire series in order so as to not be confused but it is a series that you will love being sucked into.

I can definitely relate with the feeling of not knowing what you want but hoping that you’ll know when it comes to you. That’s Amie, the main character of Bound in Lingerie and that very human feeling was what caught me into the story’s web.

Amie is a holistic practitioner; an outgoing, fun, independent woman that loves lingerie. She’s a free spirit, a lioness, as her friend puts it.

Milton, her male playmate is good looking, smart, and perfect in almost every way, except for the one flaw that made me adore him: he’s socially awkward.

Together Amie and Milton make an explosive couple in bed (that wonderfully naughty striptease) and an intellectually and physically challenging one out of it (I loved their banter).

However, I have to admit that I was expecting Amie to be much more sexually extroverted. The story takes places in the 21st century and women taking control in bed is not something that extraordinaire. Besides, though Amie starts taking control, most of the time, she and Milton end up finding a balance.

The story develops fairly quickly but the characters don’t remain static. Instead, they grow and change; putting themselves out there for one another as their feelings evolve.

The secondary characters, Martina and Rob, Carrie and Aleks, or Milton’s sister were also a substantial part of the plot and an entertaining addition (more, I’ve become really interested in finding out how some of them hooked up, and I’ll definitely be looking for the rest of the series).

Funny moments (the accidental bounding, the brother-sister fight…) mingled with well depicted sex scenes (their first intimate encounter or the outdoor sex) made Bound in Lingerie both a hot and fun read.

Bound in Lingerie was a quick fun read that kept a smile on my face long after I’d closed my E-Reader.

Regan wants to explore things with Camryn, and not just for his project. He has wanted Cam since the first time he laid eyes on him, but is afraid that Cam isn’t into guys or the things Regan wants to do to and with him. Regan has never been dominant before, but Cam brings out something in him that he would love to explore. But asking Cam to be his model, and maybe more, has Regan terrified he will lose the best friend he has.

Camryn is a hot rocker in their Middle America home of Cleveland, and what Regan wants to do for this project scares him a little, but he trusts Regan to keep him safe. He’s never been into bondage or rope play, but he trusts Regan to explain every step as they go along. And besides, anything that gets Cam naked with Regan can’t be bad, right?

I enjoyed watching Regan and Cam discover what each liked, and their desire to be together. I was happy that she made sure Regan didn’t just push Cam into something without explaining and preparing him for it all. It made the story all the more touching to see to what lengths each would go to show their feelings.

Regan Finley is smart and talented, and just a bit of a nerd. But he is a fantastic photographer, and has a bright future ahead of him. He wants to finish his degree with an exhibition showing how people become bound to their lives and wants his roommate Camryn as his model. I love that Regan is not the macho all gung-ho guy, but has a lot of insecurity where Cam is concerned. I really liked the little things Regan does to convince Cam to pose, and to be with him.

Camryn Tate is magic when he is holding his guitar. A talented musician and songwriter, Cam has secrets and insecurities of his own. He doesn’t believe his luck that Regan feels the same about him as he does about Regan, and wonders why it took them so long to get together. I loved that although apprehensive, he trusts Regan to take care of him and not hurt him. I cried when he finally opened up and was honest with Regan about his past, and the reasons for his doubts.

This is an exploration of passion by two people learning to please each other, and learning what their limits are, in life and in love. It is a compliment to Ms Slayer that, once I started reading, gender ceased to matter, and the love story came to the forefront here. These are two people, learning to love and please each other and planning a future together, and nothing is more special than that to me. If you aren’t comfortable with man-to-man touching, and more, this is not the book for you, but I enjoyed this, and look forward to more from Ms. Slayer in the future.

It shows that being true to yourself and allowing someone to love you can be the greatest gift of all. That age is just a number and the color of our skin should never stop you from following your heart. True love comes from the inside and the outside packaging is just an added bonus.

Detention also has a wonderful back story. It wasn’t just about two people finding happiness, but also the plight of Ghana. I was shown a sad reality of the poverty and heartache of the country, but I also felt the hope of hard working loving people. It was touching to read about selfless people giving their lives and livelihood to the less fortunate. Ms. Williams did a fabulous job introducing me to Ghana and didn’t let the sadness overshadow the joy. Her rendering of Ghana was informative without being preachy. Thank you for making Detention feel deeper than just the normal romance novel.

Detention is a steamy read that is enlightening yet sexy. It is a sizzling book and an enjoyable story. If you like a tender May-December story, you’ll enjoy Detention. If you like interracial romance, you’ll like Detention. But most of all, if you want an amazing story of two people finding love no matter what people think and discover that together they are unstoppable, then it's another reason to pick up this book. You won’t be disappointed!

Delightfully improper. That’s what came to mind as I became engrossed in Alexandra O’ Hurley’s novel, Being Improper.

The story begins with a number one major no-no for society: a forbidden doctor-patient relationship. Carrie is a sweet young girl, too smart and too outgoing for her time period, who thinks she has female hysteria. When she goes to visit handsome Dr. Mathew, sparks ensue. The building of anticipation between them and what would happen was craftfully written; I was on the edge of my seat as the doctor drew out his remedy for Carrie.

Carrie and Mathew are sweet characters, especially Carrie. She really tugged at my heartstrings. She’s sort of naive but with a curious and kinky streak that made her endearing. I specially loved her curiosity for the male anatomy (the scene in which she performed a hand job was fun, erotic and very visual).

Mathew is a kind, good man, who’s terribly in love and doesn’t know how to show it. He didn’t come off as your usual dominant, aggressive male alpha. He staked his claim on Carrie but in a more desperate, love sick, intellectual way. He was a man willing to do anything to make the woman he loved happy.

Though she was a secondary character, Carrie’s best friend, Etta and her prying, knowing ways made me laugh more than once. She was a great addition to the story!

Though it was part of the plot and Carrie’s emotional baggage, I didn’t like the family drama. It was a nuisance to have that big secret revealed almost at the end of the story, when the characters could have lived happily ever after. However, the description of the family feud was well crafted and Ms. O’ Hurley did succeed in making me hate Carrie’s brother and father.

Being Improper is a quick hot read with a sweet ending that will leave you with a smile.

Colby is healing after a hard divorce, being hung out to dry and scarred to his core. He isn’t looking for anything serious and is determined to focus on work until his heart starts to heal. After getting a glimpse of Kitty at work one day Colby is smitten and soon finds himself outside her work every day at lunch time eating horrible food court lunches just so he can watch her. But Colby has learned that most women only want him for his money. He doesn’t want Kitty to see him as only a meal ticket. Unfortunately, the only way for that to happen is to begin their relationship on a lie.

Can Colby really show his true self to Kitty without getting burned again, or does he need to live a lie to make her fall in love with him? As often happens, once they begin to get close Colby’s real world comes busting in making him decide what he wants more, Kitty or what might have been?

This was a good story with mostly believable characters that were easy to read about. While the plot of the book was able to keep me interested I found that at times the actions of the main characters were not that believable. Kitty is a quiet, reserved character in the beginning but out of nowhere this “sex goddess” comes out -- stripping in public and demanding sex with no boundaries, and then she goes back to being the sweet innocent type in the next paragraph. I wanted to like Kitty’s personality but the mood swings, for lack of a better term, just made her difficult to relate to. Colby was much easier to like and follow in the story and I found that in the end I was rooting for him to get the girl.

Sometimes I think plot was sacrificed for word count, as I found myself rereading several pages more than once to make sure I was keeping everything and everyone straight. But even so, I enjoyed the book. There is some pretty funny dialogue between Colby and Erica. They had me laughing out loud at points and in the end rooting for Kitty and Colby to get together. The chemistry was there even in the beginning before Colby and Kitty actually met, enough so that even random passerby characters seemed to notice, it was palpable. This is a book I would not have a problem recommending to someone looking to dip their toes into the romance genre. The sex was hot but not overt and the characters seemed to be in a good place for the majority of the book.

Aurora Rose Lynn is a new to me author but not for long. This novella had great potential even with a couple of stumbling blocks. Ms. Lynn is a clever writer and one that I'll be looking for in the future.

I absolutely inhaled this story. Non-stop heat and chemistry pulled me in. I couldn’t get enough of their heat and I devoured this book in one sitting. One cold shower later and I was researching Ms. Raines’ other works and then started the whole process over again. Legally Bound is not the first book set at the BDSM club, Eden. Eve’s best friend’s story is told in Welcome to Eden, a delightfully sinful short story. Another short story set at Eden is Pure Sin. It’s about two employees and their battle of wills.

I would highly recommend Legally Bound. It would be a wonderful story for the beginner reader of BDSM and even the more experienced connoisseur. While it does show the more tender side of the lifestyle, you can’t help but be pulled into the romance and passion of these two people. I do believe that humor and a strong hand can make for an exciting exchange in the bedroom or dungeon and Ms. Raines does a fabulous job conveying both. So if you like your BDSM on the more tender side, with a splash of humor, pick up Legally Bound. You won’t be disappointed.

Tight End is the third addition to the Gridiron Gods series and it picks up where the last book left off. This was a fast paced read that had me captivated until the very end. The whole concept of a shifter who can only shift with their mate to make one animal is interesting to me. The shifter aspect and the tender love story between the main characters had me under the Gridiron Gods magical spell.

Ryan is the tight end for the Grizzlies and we soon learn that he likes sex and a healthy dose of dirty talk while engaging in it. Ryan is a narratophiliac - he loves dirty talk and it turns him on. This is a new word to my vocabulary but the definition became quite obvious in the first few pages. Ryan is coming to terms with the need to find that one special person. He feels the pull of something bigger than himself but has no clue as to the why of it. When he gets a call from a mysterious man named Phillip he starts to think maybe he's found the one man that will dominate him perfectly in the bedroom.

Phillip is an older man who is smitten with the Grizzly’s tight end. Phillip knows about the Gridiron Gods and longs to have that connection with his sloth and his mate. It was quite heartbreaking to learn Phillip’s back story. The pain he has endured for the past thirty-five years was extremely saddening. This a wealthy man who would do anything to have the special bond with another man, a man he can fall in love with. I admired this character's ability to go after what he wanted and protect what he holds dear. Everyone should have a soul mate like Phillip.

Phillip’s overprotective nature pushes Ryan to stand firm on his beliefs. Losing someone special to him has Phillip on guard to protect Ryan but Ryan doesn’t fully understand and makes it clear he doesn’t need to be coddled like a small child. This is what puts the conflict in motion and had my heart pounding to get to the resolution as soon as possible.

I really enjoyed the interaction between Ryan and Phillip. Where Phillip is prim and proper, Ryan is a headstrong says-what-he-thinks kind of guy. It made for some good laughs. Every sexual interlude they share is packed full of dirty talk that is written in a very descriptive manner. Tight End is the definition of erotic romance. Ms. McLeod painted a picture so vividly I felt like I was a spectator in Ryan and Phillip's lives and bedroom.

This series is getting better with every new installment. Tight End isn’t a long read and could be read within one night. Quite honestly, once you start it, it might be hard to put down. If you’re a fan of this series we get some answers to questions that have lingered from the previous books.

I wholeheartedly recommend adding this book to your reading list!

What follows is a roller-coaster of sexual highs and emotional lows that will leave the reader breathless one minute and upset the next.

Sara is a pear-shaped woman who had not been insecure of her curves until now, while Jared starts to believe that his bachelor lifestyle and the fear of being compared to his dead brother may not make him the best contender for Sara's heart. The progression of their relationship is complex in that everyone around them (with the exception of Jared's mother), has taken issue for one reason or another with their relationship. Sara and Jared do an excellent job of defending the other, but eventually their own doubts set in. Are they good enough for the each other? As they navigate their way past the blazing sexual chemistry looking for common ground, realizations are made that could potentially change everything.

This love-story-in-progress may be short, but covers a lot of ground. I did have a bit of difficulty in picturing the characters and setting due to the lack of details early on in the story, but it didn't affect my overall enjoyment.

My hat's off to Ms. Hillman for some very explosive sex scenes, and wow, did Jared surprise me with his aggression. I'm excited to find out what other stories this author has to offer and would definitely recommend this story to readers in the market for an erotic romance with heart.

It turns out Andrea doesn’t have two mates but has three. To make this relationship work they all have to work together, and if they can’t do that than everything will unravel around them.

As pack leader, Xavier never expected to share his mate with his younger twin brothers but the more that he is with Andrea the more sure he is of his decision that she is theirs. Now all this fearless threesome have to do is convince Andrea of it, and then convince the pack that she is the best woman for all three of them. When trouble starts to brew in the pack, will Andrea stand up for herself or will she be forced out for being too weak?

This was a different book than what I normally read, but I am glad that I got the opportunity to review it. I have to admit at times I got worried that things could easily get out of hand with this many “cooks in the kitchen” but the end result was a good story with solid characters and a pretty believable plot. The ending was a bit rushed, but Ms. Blake didn’t leave any loose ends or what ifs , which made this for a good read that I had a hard time putting down.

If this book is any indication of her caliber of work,I will definitely be looking for more work by Ms. Blake in the future. She would make a great addition to any reader’s paranormal collection of authors.

Shelby knows that sex with Tank is dangerous, fast, and sometimes a little dirty. Now is not the time to become side-tracked. Besides, this job could launch her company into a whole new stratosphere, so it’s imperative she remain focused.

Frustration becomes Shelby’s newest partner as she makes plans to out maneuver Tank in their parallel quest. Tank, on the other hand, is always one step ahead of the game—and is not what, or who, Shelby thought.

The danger might be hot on their tails, but the sex is even hotter... strip pool, anyone?

In Shelby's line of work, elements of danger, secrecy, and deceit are to be expected. Spying on cheating spouses and apprehending bail jumpers is what pay the bills for this small-time private investigator. However, when her own cheating ex comes barreling back into town on the back of a Harley, danger, secrecy, and deceit become part of her personal life instead of just her professional one. It isn't long before complications between the case she's currently working on and her confused emotions for Tank converge leaving Shelby's heart, mind, and body at war.

From the moment he met her, he knew she was the one, but his profession had him doing something he never thought he would do. But now, Tank is ready to start-over with Shelby and right the wrongs that broke them up in the first place. He vowed to never lose her again, but this time he may not have a choice.

Fast paced with great emotional quality, this story keeps you on the edge of your seat with lots of plot twists and scorching love scenes. Shelby and Tank's physical chemistry is off the charts sizzling and undeniable from the moment they touch, but they are also each other's own personal brand of kryptonite. Shelby loses focus and distracts too easily while Tank loses his temper and becomes much more aggressive where Shelby is concerned. Part of me didn't like the lack of bodily restraint Shelby had when Tank comes back into town after the big hurts she suffered. It's clear early on in the story that there is a lot of baggage for them to sort through, which is why the relationship was never easily severed, but a bit more resistance now and then would've made it more believable.

I really appreciated that both Shelby and Tank's perspectives are given and nothing too revealing was allowed until it became necessary as part of the plotline. That being said, there were a few times it was hard to fully connect with the emotional turmoil the characters were going through; however there was a nice hum of suspense from the beginning. With the way the story wrapped up, there is potential for more in the future and I sincerely hope Ms. Edwards decides to write it with the same humor, mystery, and erotic romance that really makes this a fantastic read and re-read.

This is part of the Party Games series and it focuses on one very hot game of Truth or Dare. I enjoyed watching as Miki went from observer to participant, and getting very drunk along the way. I like Ms. Cahill’s very adult version of this timeless party favorite, and the intriguing consequences of it all.

Miki Drummond is recovering from a bad marriage, and has put herself on the shelf. But with the urging of her friend, she has decided to face life again, and start living it to the fullest. She just didn’t expect it to include her two high school crushes. I enjoyed watching as she decided to give the three of them a try for one night of pleasure, not knowing if there could ever be more, but taking the chance anyway. She is smart, and stronger that she believed she was. I really enjoyed watching as she finally realized that her late husband had never cared for her, and was able to finally put that part of her life behind her.

Dayne and Grant are two very sexy hunks, and both are determined to win Miki’s heart. They are best friends, business partners, and housemates, but the only woman they have ever wanted to share is Miki. I enjoyed watching as these two gorgeous men discovered that Miki made their lives complete, and that no other woman could ever be what she is for them: lover, friend, soul mate. I loved watching their campaign of romance, working to win her over, and knowing when to sit back and let her come back to them in her own time.

This is a story of reunion, ten years in the making. It is also a story of coming home, and Miki, Grant and Dayne make the most of their time together in every way, whether it is hot and steamy bedroom antics or fun and romantic adventures at the beach. This is for all those readers who like their romance in threes, and spicy hot. One warning, though, you’ll need the tissues and the ice in equal measure.

For Slade Jacobs, not getting his way isn’t something he swallows easily. The more that Amy turns him down, the more she turns him on and just makes his attraction even hotter. She just has something about her that calls to him, but damn if he could get her to understand that. After a tricky game of truth or dare, will Slade finally get everything that he wants from Amy, or will she keep pushing until walking away is the only option?

This was a great book by a new to me author, Rita Sawyer. The plot was interesting and the sex hot. I would have liked to see Amy's behavior a bit on the more believable side. There were times when she seemed like a great character but then she would become a bit too trashy for the flow of the book and that tended to throw me off. Still, the attraction between her and Slade was immediate and sent sparks from my eReader, and the struggle that ensues was entertaining to watch unfold. I will definitely be on the lookout for other works by Rita Sawyer, since this book had such great promise.

It took a while to get in the groove of the book, but once I did I was until the last page. I’ve read several other books by Jennifer Cole and each one has a unique style to it that made me want to read it again because it was so good. I did feel that the ending was a bit rushed, but Ms. Cole didn’t leave any loose ends which was nice. I would like to see this story as part of a series, since many of the other characters were people that I would like to follow up on. The plot line and dialogue never felt rushed and it seemed as though the author allowed the characters to tell the story instead of steering them in the direction she wanted.

Her Wolfen Destiny would make a great addition to any reader’s shelf of keeper books, and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

She refuses to give in even a little since she can't afford to lose her restaurant or her heart.

The guys do their best to impress upon Kelly their seriousness now that they've decided she's the one, but nothing is that easy. Their “Operation Seduction” works well enough in the physical sense, but they didn't expect the emotional and society aspects to be quite so intrusive and neither did I.

This story isn't your typical after one night of hot sex leads to a happily-ever-after. There are barriers, and lots of exciting sex scenes with two gorgeous guys who complement each other very well in the looks and personality department. Tall, dark, and handsome Leo with an aggressive alpha-male attitude, while Scott has a charming personality and golden-god looks to match. In between all that male goodness is Kelly with her curvy figure and girl-next-door personality, which I found to be very appealing heroine traits in this story.

There are a few abrupt scene changes that sort of impeded the overall flow of the story, but I still found the story well-written. Throughout, there is much talk of Kelly's infamous “Intimidating Apple Pie”, which the guys just love to eat and use as foreplay, but even better is that the author included the recipe at the end of the story for reader's to enjoy however they like as well. Great story, great characters, and great start to a new series. If you like ménage romance stories, you'll enjoy this story!

At this time, our previous villain is finally dead, but this is not the end by any means. No, it seems we now have an even more vicious killer to worry about. With Megan Shaw being the leading physician with the clues to help the werewolves finally beat this evil, she needs some serious protection. Thus she is thrust into the arms of her potential mates, Dominic Mercer and Reyes Rodale. These sexy and mighty protectors not only heat up the pages, they make a reader “sigh”.

The eroticism is wonderful and the storyline is intriguing. I found myself completely caught-up in the lives of our characters and understanding each of their dilemmas.

Each book in the Moonlight Shifters Series maintains its consistency of being a good bedtime story for the one wanting some sizzle in their fantasies. Ms. Fox has made us aware of each character to the point of comfortable familiarity in each book. I feel as though I can relate to Megan and I was excited to see why these two strong men wanted to deny the mating heat for so long. But as in all good romance books, we find ourselves utterly Ravished by the Moon right along with these fascinating mates.

This is a combustible story with one of the hottest dragon shifters out there! The kick-off is instant and engaging from the first page with an extremely sexy nostril-flaring dragon shifter and a slightly introverted zoologist. Guaranteed there are sexy times ahead for this pair, hot enough to turn sand into glass.

Although there is potential to expand a bit more on Sera's history, the instant gratification aspect of this story left me with a no-nonsense read that has me quickly searching out for the next in the series. It's sure to be a hit among paranormal romance readers and most especially those with an attraction to dragons. There is no mistaking Lexxie Couper's writing in this story -- it is definitely hot, hot, hot!

Tabitha cannot figure out why it is she is so attracted to both of the twins, especially when their personalities seems to be so different. And the twins? Well they are still a bit upset that they have to share a mate, after-all they have been sharing everything their whole life, and they really hoped to have a mate all to their selves. But with danger dogging their every turn and mating heat demanding that they claim Tabitha, How can this story not be anything but fun, sexy and adventurous?

I cheered these characters on. I needed a cold shower after reading these hot, erotic exhibitions. Morgan Fox has continued to spin a tale that tantalizes the libido and speeds up the heartbeat as these racy love scenes continue to explode on paper.

I was enthralled with this tale and look forward to seeing what the evil characters were capable of. The secondary characters are interesting and supply the reader with enough stimulus to want to see more of their stories unfold. There were a few places where this story could have detailed the event a bit more, but over-all I loved this book. Again I say, this is becoming one “must-have” series. So are you Enticed by the Moon yet? If so, I suggest checking out this fun fable. You might just feel the Pull of the Moon in your fantasies!

The first two chapters made me want a box of tissues and a bull horn with a side of fried chicken and chocolate pie. Ms. Brooks totally ensnared my emotions when she took turns introducing me to Tarq and Lucy and the problems that beset them. Both hero and heroine have some serious issues with no one to save them or turn to, except each other. It’s how they help each other out and what they discover about one another along the way that made me alternate between giggles, sadness, indignation, hope and total joy. Stud is like the stock market with its ups and downs but there’s a guaranteed payoff at the end.

Why would I want a bull horn? To blow out Lucy’s father's eardrums and tell him to stop treating her way he does in the story. He’s not the villain but he certainly could be. Lucy is more like Cinderella in that regard. And Tarq is as imperfect a Prince Charming as one could be. In fact, I wanted to hug him because he needed a Princess Charming to show him that he’s worth more than he thinks. I think that’s what endeared his character to me the most. He had poor self esteem and confidence issues along with something else that was seriously holding him back. However, the one thing that both Lucy and Tarq are not, are quitters. These two fight the only way they can to reach for the dreams that other people believe that are impossible for them. All they needed was one chance. One opportunity to show them the way and it was so romantic that they found it in each other.

The reason that I wanted the chocolate pie is because Lucy is a great cook and it sounded like her pie would be chocolate nirvana. As for the fried chicken, that’s an inside joke that I’m not sharing. I get the biggest kick out of Ms. Brooks’ sense of humor and it’s still strong and present in this latest adventure for a Zetithian male.

Another yummy aspect of Stud besides Tarq's purring, was the sex. Of course it’s written well, and those scenes were fun, energetic and plentiful, but there’s more. There was meaning and it evolved. How? The author was brilliant in allowing a reader to see their emotions change from lust, to fledgling trust and hope, to seduction with future dreams in mind. It sounds so simple but it wasn’t because neither Tarq or Lucy were on the same page most of the time. They were awesome in bed but both wanted more from the relationship without realizing that they both already wanted that same level. One could argue that all they had to do was communicate but once I understood what internal struggles bedeviled them, I could see that communication was easier said than done. It provided wonderful emotional conflict.

A great thing Ms. Brooks did was give both the hero and heroine chances to shine and show off what they are really good at. Lucy is a lot stronger than she thought and she has an opportunity to show her fortitude and gumption. Tarq’s turn had him acting a role that reminded me of Daniel Boone and Man Vs. Wild. I was quite impressed, even more so when I found out that the author did some serious research and all those cool things Tarq did were actually possible to do in real life – mostly. Now if I could find some Snard in real life, I’d be either really happy, or in a lot of trouble. *vbg*

Once again, Ms. Brooks populated her story with imaginative and intriguing alien species that spiced up the plot and character action. Of them all, I was the saddest for Vertigan. My secret wish is that he’ll someday have his own story where he’d be in a relationship that fits his species’ needs. What a challenging story to write that would be but I’d bet, oh, so hot. As it is, I thought he and the others were well developed, entertaining and a credit to the tale.

The final chapter of Stud was undiluted romance with satisfaction and happiness just oozing from the pages. There were wonderful moments where all the best things finally happened and all the loose ends were tied up in a sweet and delightful way. I loved the optimistic future they planned and how all their dreams were coming to fruition. It couldn’t happen to a nicer couple.

Stud is filled with emotional candy that makes reading an addiction. The depth of human emotions that Ms. Brooks explored in this book was very poignant and effective. It touched my heart and made me feel. The great thing was that it wasn’t melodramatic or depressing. It was empowering and righteous while being naughty and adventurous all at the same time. Ms. Brooks delivers romance and fills each chapter with page turning events that entertain and amaze. I just adore exploring her universe of the Zethithian men and look forward to more happily ever afters in the future because they’re Snard-elicous!

Watching Koko Brown’s kinky elevator exhibitions has become the best thing about Reese Desoto’s Tuesdays and Thursdays. As head of security of Sarraf Enterprises, he’s been keeping two very attentive eyes on the dark-skinned beauty and her naughty habits, but he’s over sharing her performances with all the other men in security. He’s ready for a private show.

Koko always feared that one day her elevator fetish would get her in trouble, but she never thought her comeuppance would appear in the form of a man as devastatingly handsome and commanding as Reese. To her delight though, instead of reprimanding her, Reese offers her access to a private elevator, one in which she can be as wicked as she pleases for an attentive audience of one. All she has to do is step in, strip down and enjoy the ride.

One thing you’ll really like about this story is Ms. Matthews does a great job diving straight into the action. In this case it’s the hero Reese and a co-worker watching Koko pleasure herself in the elevator. It’s hot, sexy and you wonder where the story’s heading.

Koko is a fun character and I liked the way she was portrayed as a devil may care type girl, who is thrown for a loop when she thinks Reese is going to turn her over to the police. Another thing I liked about this story was that Reese didn’t initiate sex with Koko until she wanted him to. I thought at first he might blackmail her into doing that but not this guy. Going Up was all about just watching her pleasure herself which I think added to the sexiness of the story and upped the sexual tension too.

Reese is all business at the beginning of the story and then turns into a bit of a romantic when he’s with Koko. The dialogue was great and I liked the pacing of this story too. It didn’t stop from page one till the final word and I was able to read it in one sitting.

If you’re looking for a hot story on a cold winter’s night I can recommend Going Up.

Shifter Micah aches for Sash, but he’ll have to leave the shadows to claim a man who is unafraid of tempting the wolf.

A struggle of wills and destiny come to a head in the fifth installment of the Uncommon Cowboys series. This is an entertaining series that sucks me in every time. Finally we get insights into what happened to Luka’s presumed dead brother Micah, something that has had this reviewer on pins and needles.

Micah Danvers is a deputy for the local police department and is hiding more than one secret from the general public. He’s running from memories of the past that keep him on edge. After watching his family get murdered and then being hunted down like a wild animal, Micah makes the decision to not shift. He closes himself off to his wolf nature for fear of becoming an outcast. Along with closeting up his wolf side he also hides away his attraction toward men. The pressure this man puts on himself is truly heartbreaking.

Sasha Anderson is a man that marches to the beat of his own drum. I admired this character for his beliefs and his need to be himself no matter the situation. Sasha has developed a tough outer shell due to the fact he resembles a woman more than a man. He’s always mistaken for a female and when he first meets Micah he doesn’t rush to correct him. Sasha, a mere human, feels the deep connection he has to Micah and wants to see where it leads.

Hot and hotter was how Micah’s emotions ran whenever in the presence of Sasha. The push and pull made for some very arousing reading. Micah’s aggressive nature when he and Sasha get physical was superb writing. I found myself rushing through the pages until I could read their next encounter. When Micah realizes he cannot and will not live without Sasha the story takes a turn for the better. Two men dealing with their own upsetting past lean on one another to make way for a future.

Sasha is still dealing with some backlash from when he first moved to town and he can’t seem to shake a man he had a causal fling with. What Sasha thought was nothing could prove to be fatal for his new family. Actions and reactions move this story in a different direction but in a good way. Micah’s sacrifice comes with the reward of being reconnected with his brother.

The one complaint I had was that the story just... stopped. All the conflicts were resolved but I would have liked to have read more of the aftermath. Not having this didn’t make this book a deal breaker in my opinion but it would have been nice to see some family bonding. Plus I was left a little curious where Micah got his last name. Because his last name just so happened to be the last name of his brother Luka’s lover. I was left scratching my head on that one.

Overall I really enjoyed A Plain Ordinary Cowboy. I would recommend reading at least the book prior to this one so you can follow along with where Micah’s self-hatred comes from. But in saying that I recommend reading the whole series. The mixture of the great outdoors, sexy cowboys, and delicious and creative love scenes make this series a must have.

Ms. Rae’s characters are as real as your nextdoor neighbors, with faults and insecurities just like everyone. I like Meg and Chance, and loved the way they tried to one-up each other at every turn. There is a depth to the characters, and I enjoyed watching as each layer of personality was revealed.

Meg Tristan is gorgeous, sexy and bored with her life. She is smart, and determined to get what she wants. The trouble is, she isn’t sure how to find it. She envies her younger sister Allie for finding the man of her dreams, and true love. She is convinced that there is no one man for her, but she is growing more dissatisfied with playing the field. I enjoyed watching as Meg began to realize what was missing in all the brief relationships she had: there was nothing to hold her attention after the initial encounter. Watching Meg as she finally grows up is a treat.

Dr. Chance Dannigan is the new man in town. He is attracted to Meg instantly, but as an intelligent and determined man, he knows instinctively that he has to treat her as if he isn’t, and challenge her interest and intelligence more than those before her have done. I loved watching Chance as he began to realize what he’s done, and I liked seeing the other side of him as well: the caring and generous doctor who spends his off time visiting elderly residents at the local nursing home.

This is a wild and crazy fun ride of a romance, with the escalation of passionate encounters pushing boundaries for both the good doctor and the sexy witch.

The secondary characters are all captivating as well, especially the dates that Meg and Chance have to arrange for each other. None of the candidates are what they appear to be from the supposedly virginal lady pharmacist to the innocent bystander jogger, who isn’t so innocent after all.

I enjoyed catching up with Meg’s family as well. Sister Allie, the former succubus is now a happily married and very pregnant normal woman, and shape shifting Hilly is still the protective and sensible older sister trying to keep things from getting out of hand.

Do Meg and Chance find a way to settle the challenge before they both get hurt? You’ll have to read Sex With a Hex to find out. But one warning, be prepared to laugh at the antics, and keep the fan on high.

When cat shifter Petra (aka Pete) becomes the victim of "friendly fire" during the apprehension of a bank robber, panther shifter cop Apollo Jones feels obligated to make sure she's okay. Pete's positive she doesn't need another hero in her life, and Apollo's out to prove her wrong.

This story isn’t all games and bedroom romping, though what there was of it was thoroughly entertaining. There’s also a wonderful emotional hook towards the end that had me blubbering like a baby. It also inspired me to re-read the story, which didn’t take long because it’s so short. The second time around I read it with fresh enthusiasm because of the great reveal and ended up enjoying it all over again because of the different viewpoint.

Aunt Pete a/k/a Pete or Petra is a survivor. She beat the odds that were stacked against her when she was little with the help of some friends, and she never looked back. At least, not with her eyes open. Her dreams are another matter. Pete holds her heart close because she’s been hurt before but when she meets the police officer who assisted in the earlier action in the story, she only half-heartedly fought the attraction. I think in her heart she always yearned for that total love and acceptance she’d once known and something about Officer Apollo made her purr.

Apollo is written as a very delicious and capable man who knows his way around a woman’s body as well as he handles his weapon. Take that reference any way you wish because both would be true. The author made it clear that the hero knew how to please Pete until she was a pile of contented jelly. In fact, his courtship of Pete truly embraced this series’ title “serve and protect” – and he did both with determination, focus and success. I liked him as a hero.

As with all the books written in this series, each chapter takes a turn at being written in the first person point of view for each protagonist. This story continued with that style and I enjoyed it. However, this tale is special and different because even though the author let me get into Apollo’s head a bit, he still kept a secret that he didn’t reveal until he was ready. And that was the part that zinged my heart, made me tear up and garnered a higher rating for this story. I was all set to be entertained with some sizzling sheet action and witty dialogue between the characters and I certainly got all of that, but the last revelation truly made this book shine. It made me care, gave me the chills and I wanted to hug someone. As it was, Pete got all the hugging and more from Apollo, her hunky hero.

For readers who might pass on this story because of its shortness or hot sexy content, be assured that there is a wonderfully sentimental and sweet component that made the happy ever after truly exceptional. Of course when Apollo and Pete get together, the fur, claws and meows fly, and it’s a lot of fun, but this book also gives readers that extra something that not all books in this series delivers. It’s a well written and complete romance that I have no problem recommending and in fact, it’s one of the best ones that I’ve read. Don’t Need a Hero isn’t E=MC2 but it certainly entertained, passed the time and left a smile on my face. Don’t Need a Hero is a gem in the Protect and Serve series that futuristic paranormal romance fans shouldn’t want to miss. I’m glad I read it.

Once David’s realized that Angelica’s the one for him, he’s ready to get the ball rolling on their relationship. He’ll stop at nothing to prove to Angelica he’s right up her alley.

What happens when you’ve been friends with a guy so long that he won’t see you as a potential lover? The author plunged straight into the drama of this story with Angelica in a shouting match with David about his current girlfriend. Immediately, you get the feeling that she’s a tad jealous and maybe this is the turning point where she feels she’d like David to be more than just friends.

Angelica is portrayed as a tough girl who hangs out with the guys and goes bowling with them. David seems to be at the mercy of his current girlfriend. You think maybe he should dump her long before he actually does.

This opens the door for Angelica to make her move, but will she? I think I can give away the storyline by telling you yes. The former "we’re only just good friends" finally have sex, lots of sex. As you might expect with the simmering sexual tension that’s been brewing between them, it gets steamy. Both of them don’t hold back on their desires and pleasing one another.

The dialogue was good, pacing fast and the story had a good overall flow to it. Only thing I would have liked to have seen was a longer storyline. Maybe stretching things out more to develop the characters and for us to have more time with them.

If you’re looking for a quick sexy story for some holiday reading, Spin Action might be for you.

The plot sounds like a story that’s been told many times before but Ms. Medina puts a new spin on this "woman done wrong by her man" tale.

Cat is close to her two brothers which the author gets across perfectly to us. This sets the story up for what you know is trouble brewing for Cat’s soon to be ex-husband, Malcolm, and the fact he’s been cheating on their sister.

I don’t want to give the plot away because that would spoil this story for you. However, let me just say that one of her brothers gives Malcolm a way to make things right with Cat.

The pacing is swift and you’ll be able to read this story in less than thirty minutes. The sex scenes are hot and -- shall I say -- a little unique. I think you’ll be happy with the ending and how things turn out for Cat.

If you like sexy paranormals, Haunt Me might be a good match for you.

Can the hottest phone/internet sex of your life with the man of your dreams make up for his single heinous act of betrayal? Well, this IS romance, so apparently it can!

At 88 pages, Digital Possession is a good length for a short story. Ms. Harbin provides just enough background on both of the main characters to give the idea that they have known each other for a couple of years even though they live in different states and haven’t worked directly together. Circumstances put them together on a project but the chemistry they share keeps them working late into the night and beyond.

Ms. Harbin does a terrific job of building the long distance relationship and keeping it HOT! HOT! HOT! She utilizes several different forms of communication devices to keep the sexual tension simmering between Ian and Cassie including sexting, a Skype strip-tease and sizzling phone sex. This reader felt like a cyber-voyeur on more than one encounter but that type of incredibly descriptive writing is what keeps the story flowing. You can bet the distance has made these hearts grow fonder and the sheets will be smoking when they finally meet face to face.

As well as the story was written I did find one issue that tended to make me stumble on a few occasions. As I said the writer uses texting as well as IMing several times throughout the story. The problem is that there is no defining separation of text-talk and the rest of the story. I think this could have easily been cleared up by either having the texting/IMing put in bold or italicized type. Even extra line spacing with indentions could have set it apart. Thankfully, the instances of texting and IMing are spread out. The story moves at a nice pace so this wasn’t a deal breaker for me as a reader but more of a minor irritation.

The idea of a virtual relationship has never really appealed to me but I have to say the blurb and quick excerpt I read of Mandy Harbin’s novella had me intrigued. The dialogue was funny and the premise was unique enough to pique my interest. This was a quick, fun read that I hope Ms. Harbin revisits in the future. She mentions a brother to Ian who is deeper into the BDSM lifestyle. I wouldn’t mind reading his story while catching up with Ian and Cassie.

If you’re looking for a quick little sizzler, look no further than Digital Possession. They may live hundreds of miles apart but it won’t keep their hearts from growing close.

Inexplicably Kelan and Reider are drawn to graduate student Beth Coldwell. Is she the one? Will she be able to handle the truth? Why does she keep trying to shoot one of the brothers? That last question actually provides some comic relief in this highly charged romantic adventure.

As I mentioned, this is the second book in this collaboration between authors Anna Leigh Keaton and Madison Layle. After having read and reviewed the first book, Falkes Peak, I couldn’t wait to see what was going on with Axel, Gunner and Dakota. I knew with two more sets of brothers and a sister there had to be more stories to tell. Kelan, Reider and Beth’s story did not disappoint.

The premise of a young scientist with something to prove and goal to achieve being the brother’s mate was truly clever. How could they possibly find their HEA when she was the very thing they feared...and yet desired? You won’t want to miss this story.

Kelan and Reider may have been litter mates with Axel and Gunner but it’s clear they are the younger of the set. They each have their own strengths and weaknesses. Kelan is most like Axel in that he tends to be the “dominant” hot-headed one. Reider is the one who talks him down and gets him to see reason. The writers built these characters well and made them easy to love. The same can be said for Beth. One of the aspects I liked about her best is that she’s reasonable. She doesn’t over (or under) react when the boys reveal their secret. She doesn’t faint or run screaming from the room but she doesn’t smile blandly and say “okay” either. The writers built her up to be a scientist so she takes it all in as a scientist…and then she determines to protect her mates.

Younger brothers, Tor and Sin, still have to find their mate. We also got to spend more time with the only Falke girl, Heidi. Personally, I can’t wait for her story. The boys have a lot to overcome in finding a mate but Heidi’s task is considerably harder. You’ll have to get into the Puma Nights series to understand what I mean. This is a terrific series from two very talented writers. There is lots of action both in and out of the bedroom to keep you turning pages to the perfect ending.

I like the way she blends historical fantasy and contemporary romance to create a rich and detailed world, where her characters are able to express their wants, needs and vent their fears as well. Her characters are well defined, and the dialog is intelligent and well crafted.

Shea Landon is a survivor. She spent her youth raising her mother, but now it is time for her to live for herself. She says she is a cliché: born in Las Vegas, with a stripper for a mom and no idea who her father was. But she is smart, strong and determined to make a new start in Los Angels. I like her strength of character, and her determination to go to college, and to better her life. And I love her fictional ‘alter ego’ created in Travis’ fantasies, and her desire to reach out for what she wants.

Travis Knight is smart, strong and a loner. He is a tortured soul, both in real life, and in his fantasy of long ago. He has secrets, things he has never told anyone, even his two closest friends, Emma and Jack. When he gets to know Shea, he recognizes in her a kindred spirit, someone who is just as wounded in her way as he is. I love Travis, and enjoyed watching as he finally finds a way to connect to another human being, and as he begins to open up, he starts to heal inside.

This is actually a very sweet romance, but it is also one of the hottest books I have ever read. That may sound like a contradiction, but once you read White Knight, you will understand what I mean. Mari Carr has managed to merge sweet and hot, and make one scorching tale of hot and kinky action that still weaves a sweet ‘first love’ tale into the mix. I recommend this to those who enjoy a bit of kink with their happy ever after, along with some very creative use of ‘toys’.

A lucky break in the weather affords him the opportunity he’s been waiting for. Before the night is through, he vows she’ll be begging for more. Funny thing is; he might just get more than what he bargained for.

Demon’s Captive is one of those books that you can read in one sitting. The pace is very quick and non-stop. I enjoyed the power-struggle between these two, but wish the author would have taken more time to build characters. Ms. Illyira does provide enough information to get a decent understanding of Casey Mae’s and Blaise’s personalities, and why the two have such a hard time relinquishing control. The banter between them is entertaining. I did notice a few minor point-of-view violations, but most readers would probably overlook these. While I would like to have seen some more character development, the author fulfills the main purpose of the story. Overall, I enjoyed reading it.

Don’t have time for a full-length tale but want to get your hands on a hot and juicy read during lunch? Then grab a copy of Demon’s Captive by Selena Illyria, she doesn’t disappoint. It’s the perfect read to warm up a chilly afternoon.

He’s a member of competitive firm and he’s the same jerk who compromises her mission, but after a taste of passion from him, she’s willing to give them a try, especially since Rafe seems immune to Storm’s psychic abilities.

Storm and Rafe have beautiful chemistry in this sexy romance but with the fast paced action plot, their romance got lost in the shuffle. There were a few tantalizing previews that kept the romance plot moving along but in between those parts were a bit murky.

While the action scenes kept me riveted all the way to the end, the world building left a bit to be desired. This is the second book in the series (I didn’t read the first) so it may be one of those series you have to read in order to get the greatest readability from. Saying that, the sex was hot and the attraction between the characters was off the charts scorching hot. Ms. Harte wows with sex scenes that will make your heart pump.

Storming His Heart is a great book for people who want to give a new series a try. Ms. Harte has created an exciting and sexy tale that is a fun read as well and I recommend it for action adventure lovers who like a little extra psychic twist with their stories.

Caroline expected this to be just an average temp job but when she catches two managers, Matt and Connor, going at it hot and heavy in the copy room, her days turn into anything but ordinary. An invitation to watch the men going at it turns into more, a bet between three co-workers to see how steamy their office life can get.

Ms. Blisse has created a hot little ticket here in this quick read. Even though this is a short story, the characters were well-developed and believable, not to mention sexy beyond belief. The chemistry is abundant between the characters, all the way to the very end.

While the sex scenes were well planned out and extremely hot, one scene between the two men felt very clunky. The who’s and where’s were a little off and it took several re-reads to figure out how she was watching them. I didn’t mind though. I enjoyed reading the scene several times over. And with an unexpected plot twist at the end that brought about an HEA, the story ended on a sexy high note.

Ms. Blisse has a winner with this office romance gone wild and I highly recommend it. This is my first read from this author and it won’t be my last.

So when a game of gay chicken gets down and dirty, Brandon realizes he is sick of not being who he is and decides to take things further with a sexy Derek.

Derek is the fun loving easy going kind of friend everyone should have. He came to college because he had no idea what he wanted to do with his life and has been living it up since. He, like Brandon, has had to hide his sexuality from his family but unlike Brandon it doesn’t consume Derek. His laid back acceptance of life helps Brandon realizes he can have what he wants, he just has to let go and grab it.

Both men come to terms with their feelings for one another and hope starts to bloom. Brandon confesses his desires to Derek and Derek is on board for making those desires come to life. But in every good love story conflict upsets the balance. Same is true in Quarterback. When Brandon’s homophobic father comes to take him back home to Boston it’s Brandon’s choice to tuck tail and go home or fight for what he wants.

This is the second in the Gridiron God’s series and the first I’ve read. I felt a little lost in this story. There were a few things that weren’t explained and I was left wondering what they meant. This is a shifter story, bears to be exact, but it wasn’t talked about much. This was more of a love story between Brandon and Derek and how they overcome their struggles. The paranormal aspects were just a small part of this book.

Overall, I really enjoyed the story. It has strong male characters, both struggling for what they want, plus the extremely graphic love scenes had me glued to the very end. In the first few pages the author whets the reader's appetite with an erotic little game of gay chicken and from there keeps the heat turned up on every encounter between Brandon and Derek. Dirty talk, toys, and wildly unadulterated sex between two consenting adults was highly entertaining. I would recommend reading the first in the series so you have that extra bit of background story. This was an enjoyable read and I look forward to more from the Gridiron Gods.

It's not you... it's me. Ever thought that when dealing with issues in a relationship? Has weight ever held you back? No, I'm not going to go on a diatribe about weight, but I will recommend Developing the Counsellor. It's a very interesting read.

I knew when I picked up this book it was part of the New Horizons series. Worked for me because I enjoyed the other books. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one and it was totally worth the wait. The writing flowed and drew me into the story. As with the other books, I had to know what would happen next.

The characters are realistic. I wanted to both clobber and cuddle them. Emilio has lots of issues and well, needs that one special person to care for him. He's natural, like reading about a friend. I wanted to help him solve his issues and get with Ivan. Ivan wants to care for Emilio and show him the true beauty that doesn't have to do with weight. I loved that the author used this theme because it's seen so much in hetero romance, but not so much in LBGTQ romance. It's a refreshing change.

And the love scenes, as much as they will warm your heart, they will melt the computer screen. Why? The chemistry between them is both tender and electric. Reading about Ivan and Emilio together gave me happy shivers.

If you want a book that's packed with heart and the true beauty of human nature, then this is the book for you!

They meet in the dark once a week in a private location and live out their hottest fantasies. In short time their hot, strictly sex meetings become lovemaking that neither is willing to give up.

Jay has also submitted a petition for Whitney to a charitable foundation that funds cosmetic surgeries to qualifying people whose lives will be appropriately benefited. He does this anonymously without her knowledge and when she is accepted, Whitney assumes the application was submitted by her boss. How will Whitney react when she finds out that her handsome friend, Jay not only is her ‘Stranger’ but her benefactor as well?

This story has many layers of depth and interest within the main plot that make it interesting and complete in several ways. I enjoyed the way the Ms. Connolly gave dimension and value to the main characters which made me want to see their problems solved. I was very happy with the way she ended this story and felt invested in their happiness.

I recommend this realistically told romance to everyone. It was emotionally involving. The sex was extremely high voltage. At its core, was a touching and inspiring tale of love’s victory and of the things that are genuinely important in life. Get a copy of Strangers No More and enjoy.

Ausha Malone has no desire to do much more than get through each day on autopilot. Her life was irrevocably changed two years ago due to her ex-husbands addictions and some circumstances that were beyond her control. She has become an emotionally detached woman who has basically withdrawn from life until handsome detective Doug Pennington starts hanging out in her bar. Doug has started to push down Ausha's self erected walls and she is not sure how to deal with all the emotions he is making her feel.

Maggie Casper delivers her usual Dominant hero with the heart of gold, who wants nothing more than to take care of the hardheaded woman he has fallen for. This story is well written with the conflict carried throughout the story, however I found it somewhat dark and heavy. That is not to say that the story isn’t a beautiful one, with some very hot bedroom scenes but be prepared for your emotions to be totally engaged and feel Ausha’s pain and suffering as well as her anger. Although the story is short, the main conflict is dealt with throughout the entire story which made the impact of the story that much stronger.

Pick up Maggie Casper's Whiskey Girl when you are looking for that book with deep heartfelt emotions and a great deal of heat, this book delivers those and more.

KA Mitchell is one of my all time favorite authors. I know when I read one of her books, I'll laugh, cry, and want to bop someone over the head. This book is no exception. The writing flowed well and once I started the book, I refused to put it down. I had to know what would happen to Quinn and Eli. I also didn't want to let go of the characters. Eli is one of a kind and I loved it. I felt like I was right there with both men. I thought about them after I closed the book. Yeah, it stuck with me that much.

Eli is who he is - out and proud. He doesn't have pretenses and just goes with it. Quinn had moments where he wasn't my favorite. I thought he took a little too much from Peter especially when I wanted to wring Peter's neck. That said, I got emotionally involved with the characters. It was like rooting for my friends to work out and the bad guy to get his just deserts. Another thing I appreciated about the book was the complete naturalness of it. I didn't get the impression the characters were plunked into a situation, but rather this was their collective lives and how they dealt. Mitchell just has a way of writing these guys that feels right. This is how they are supposed to exist.

If you want a solid book with plenty of heart to go along with the heat, then this is the book for you!

But after getting to know Sophie and spending time together in and out of bed, Nathan sees that she is the perfect woman for him. Will she understand his deception or will she run from him when the truth comes out? And once his heart is involved, can Nathan win the girl?

This was a wonderful story, a new spin on the Cinderella theme. I liked that the characters both were flawed and didn’t try to hide that from each other. The story line moved at a believable pace and made the characters able to tell the reader everything in a good beat. Not once did it feel rushed and I hope this ends up being part of a series. I'd love to read more about Nathan and Sophie. Jess Dee is a new to me author and I will definitely be looking for more works by her in the future. This was a great read and it was a pleasure to get to review. You will not be disappointed with this book!

This was the first of the Miami Scorcher Series stories I have read and it’s piqued my interest in reading more of them. If you’re looking for a good paranormal series, this is certainly something to check out because the characters are well drawn and interesting. Ethan, the hero of this particular story, was turned into a wolf against his will. There is some reference as to what happened…that a mad doctor injected him. I’m not sure if there is a book that covers this storyline but I’m intrigued enough to go looking for it.

This is a fish out of water sort of story about a man who finds a new life and ultimately love with a pack of shape shifters who take him in. Caro is the one who actually saved his life and from the beginning you get a feel that she’s like a soul mate to him. She comes across as not really interested in him, but the author does a good job at letting you know there is some yearning for him brewing. Also, being that Ethan is a sexy guy you know she won’t be able to resist him for much of the story.

The sex scenes are hot and the setting added to the heat. If you like fast reads and paranormals with a slightly different spin, I’d recommend this one to you.

The vampires cannot follow to E2, but neither can Nikoli stay there for long due to the poison from a wound given him by one of the creatures.

Regina is a strong, courageous and nurturing heroine…traits we all want for ourselves, so it was easy to identify with her. I love how she was often the creator, leader and gifter, the one with the solutions and answers in their relationship as well as their terrifying dilemma. The sensitive and vulnerable Nikoli allows Regina to possess her personal power and direction. But Nikoli has a deliciously dominant side to him as well, which often makes this exciting story even more interesting!

I won’t give away the details of this suspenseful and captivating story, but I must say that there is not a moment in it that isn’t wonderful and thrilling. The worlds are painted with precision and eloquence. The scenes describing the vampires are chilling and appropriately horrific, setting the story’s stage and creating the urgent suspense and danger required to make the plot believable and engrossing. The love and need between Nikoli and Regina is beautifully portrayed and supported by their well told pasts. Their deep passion sizzles the ink right off the pages.

This is a book not to be missed. Tina Donahue has done amazing work that shines way above and beyond the average. The erotic scenes are so hot and the love affair so compelling that I couldn’t put the book down. If you love exciting paranormal-adventure romance with a generous dose of erotic action, pick up a copy of, Unending Desire. I recommend it enthusiastically!

Lolita Lopez is a new-to-me author, and she did a great job with this story. Not once did the story drag or feel like the writing was forced. I think she took an old concept and gave it a new spin that kept me interested and made the reading easy. I was sad to see the end of the book as I really fell for these characters. I will be on the lookout for more books by Lolita Lopez because this is definitely a book to put in the keeper pile for a reread in the future. You will not be disappointed, so go out and grab a copy!

Sierra and VJ Summers have written an intense BDSM romance with a believable plot and extremely emotional points of view for both main characters. I like the premise of two days to explore the BDSM relationship between Marcus and Carrie to see if they are suited and the fact that Marcus isn’t a slime ball boss trying to take advantage of Carrie. The scenes between the two lovers were very erotic and graphically written that it had me turning the pages in anticipation of the next scene. This book was very serious, and had little relief from the emotions of the characters, making this a very powerful read. On a personal level I could have used a little levity but ultimately that would take away from the overall intensity I think the authors were trying to portray.

If a reader is looking for an emotionally intense romance with a little kink thrown into the mix than this book is a must have. I am definitely looking forward to seeing what Sierra and VJ Summers come out with next.

Department 57 has been one of my favorite series since the first story. One of the reasons I found it so enjoyable was a plethora of interesting paranormal characters. Vampires have been one of my favorite types of paranormal creatures for a while new so I knew this story would enjoyable. Rhodri and Cerys did not disappoint me in any way.

Rhodri is an ancient vampire and it shows and his old worldly beliefs and his demanding personality. While these traits may be repulsive to modern woman, for another vampire they are endearing and cherished. It is one of the things that Cerys finds attractive about Rhodri and a reason she invites him to her bed, even if it's only temporary.

While Rhodri may be a bit demanding and domineering, Cerys seem to be the epitome of a dainty female. Even when feeding she tries to be as neat and feminine as possible.

It wasn't only the romance that was entertaining and refreshing, it was the conflict as well. While readers who are new to the series may find themselves a bit puzzled at times, I think for the most part anyone can pick up this story and still appreciate the well-written plotlines.

Wilkinson has been an enemy of the Crystal Team and Department 57 as a whole for a while and his antics carry on into this story. With the stakes high on both ends, the conflict brought excitement and tension to the story that left me at the edge of my seat. Like many of the previous stories, this is one I would read again and would recommend. Anyone who likes paranormal erotic romance will thoroughly enjoy this story.

F-Stop is a thrilling literary ride of suspense, intrigue and eroticism. Despite the fact I have yet to read the whole series, I loved that this account was not a book where I got lost because I hadn't read previous books in the series. In fact, this tale only cemented my desire to catch up with all of the characters lives thus far in the previous books.

I really enjoyed the fact that I could not predict whom the betrayer was until the end of the book. This is unusual for me as I find that I can predict the ending more times than not in most suspense mysteries. Ms. Holt has showed in F-Stop that she can write a passionate adventure filled with conspiracy and twisting plots. Not only was this reader pulling for Mike and Kat's relationship, which was scorching, I found myself cheering on the Phoenix Agency to find, locate and rescue our unfortunate victims.

As I stated previously, not only was I completely caught-up in the lives of Mike and Kat, I found myself just as intrigued with the secondary characters. Her villains were despicable and her heroes were exciting. What more can a gal possibly ask for in a erotic romance-thriller?

Are you looking for a story filled with twist and turns and a lot of heat? Well F-Stop may just be the last stop you will have to make. Hang-on and enjoy the thrill!

There is a lot to look forward to, especially if a reader is drawn in by a particular fantasy. The setup is promising and the characters that will appear in future books are carefully introduced. Sadly, the first book in the series never quite hit its stride. The primary problem is Bind Me is written with a lot of tell and little show, making it difficult to connect to Marley or Reed. Sexual tension ramps up the heat, but heartfelt emotions fall short. That being said, the sex is steamy. Reed is more than willing to initiate Marley into the world of BDSM, and Marley is only too happy to explore her submissive side.

For those who enjoy sizzling hot erotic romances, Bind Me is certainly worth considering. The foundation of the Pact Seduction series will undoubtedly prompt readers to return in order to learn what happens to Marley, Reed, and her best friends.

One thing I really enjoyed about this story was the well drawn characters. Everyone seemed so lifelike, even secondary characters like Emma’s mother were interesting. Plus, the setting was well described and I imagined myself in this small southern town.

And what can I say about Jackson? He’s sexy and now a mature man who runs a mechanics shop. How can Emma resist him and leave town again is a question you continue to ask yourself as you read further into the plot.

Emma has a new life in LA but when things heat up and get interesting between these old lovers you find yourself turning the page to see if Emma opts to stay with Jackson…yes, you’re hoping she does, or will she head back to her interior design business in California?

The dialogue between Emma and Jackson is really insightful. The sex scenes are hot and plentiful.

You’ll enjoy this book in one sitting because it’s quick paced. If you like sexy short reads about characters coming back home and reassessing their lives and what’s next for them, I’m sure you’ll enjoy She Likes Him Bad.

The first thing I liked about Point Blank was that Rex, despite being a sexy guy, had once been bullied and other kids were told to stay away from him. It made it a welcome change from a heroine chasing after the football hero. Lanie has always seen the good in him and it comes across as not just a physical attraction which I felt made her a sympathetic character and one you hope gets her man.

I liked the dialogue between these two characters. It was natural sounding, moved the story along and the pace was just right for this short read.

Sex scenes are hot and frequent and the outcome more than satisfying. If you love stories about old acquaintances reconnecting…or connecting for the first time, this is probably a good pick for you.
