Ten years ago, Catherine Bennett said good-bye to her fiancé, Luke MacKenzie, and his maple farm in Vermont. She wanted to be somebody. She wanted to break out of a small town existence and live the city life. But the higher she flew, the less satisfied she was, in love and life. She had left her heart behind. And she'd never forgotten the sizzling sex with blond-haired, muscular Luke.

Now, when her job takes her back home to Vermont, old feelings flame to life. But is Luke still interested? Is he married? And can he ever forgive her for leaving him so long ago? Only one thing's for sure; there's still an attraction. And their reconciliation will burn hotter than the fireworks that light up the New Years Eve sky!

Cat and Luke have a history, a history steeped in hot steamy sex and unbridled passion. But when Cat leaves to spread her wings after college, Luke is left behind feeling shattered and alone.

A truly hot, burn up the sheets story that explores the possibilities of the coveted “second chance” most of us never get. Author, Ms. Scott knows how to write a smoking hot love scene that will leave you breathless and writhing in your seat. This story comes complete with tender moments and explorations of a past love long gone, and is full of wonderful characters and vivid descriptions.

I can’t wait to see what Ms. Scott has coming out next. I am sure it will be a humdinger! I would definitely recommend her work to anyone looking for a hot happily ever after (again)!

I found this a very hot story too! Loved the fact that what the heroine did in the past made sense, given what she knew then. And then why what she does now makes sense. A smart, understandable heroine and HOT sexy scenes. What more could you want?!
