Experience the ultimate in wickedly erotic passion…

“Personal Possessions” by Devyn Quinn

“Captive Heat” by Jodi Lynn Copeland

“Rapture Bound” by Anya Howard
Gillian Nordstrom doesn’t fear Bruce Wolff’s hard body or his masterful touch. She craves the intense pleasure that only a dominant lover can give…and in return, she willingly obeys as he strips her down and satisfies all her secret desires…

Dangerous Ties is a sexy and sultry anthology of wicked stories bound to raise your heartbeat.

Personal Possessions by Devyn Quinn leads off this all-star lineup with a sure shot. Nikki Malone is self-assured and self-possessed. A bad girl by nature, she’s not above using her body to get her out of trouble and into the things that she really desires. And then she meets Jackson Sullivan. Handsome, sexy, and more than what he seems, Jackson is about to lead Nikki on the erotic excursion of her lifetime.

Devyn Quinn is the only author in this anthology that I was familiar with going in. Her penchant for exquisite, dark eroticism is a certain draw for someone like me who cut their reading teeth on horror novels. However, even if you aren’t a fan of true horror, the darkness in her writing adds an added depth to the emotions and intensity between her characters sure to appeal to anyone. Personal Possessions is a scorching, surprising romp that you’ll never forget.

Jodi Lynn Copeland’s offering, Captive Heat, is next in the lineup. Captive Heat is a story very much different than any I’ve read before. Stunned and a tad bit angry over her ex-husband’s suicide, Leia is venting her frustrations when an explosion knocks her cold. When she awakens, she’s being held captive by the sexiest man she’s ever seen. Leia is running from her past and hiding dark secrets that not even she realizes she’s harboring. Sebastian is there to bring them out and help her heal so that she can move on. These two characters are worlds apart and yet so much the same. They’re both a bit broken and desperate, trying to find that one missing element, the one that can bring their worlds back to right.

With this being my first story by Jodi Lynn Copeland, I can say that I will be searching out much more of her work. The story is intense – both emotionally and sexually – and very tender. The world of in-between is unique and familiar, a fresh and new venue for a story. The author addresses the issues of abuse vs. submission and tackles it tastefully and seriously, while never skimping on the passion.

Anya Howard’s Liaison wraps up this trio of stories. In this ageless vampire story, a schoolteacher is brought into a secluded valley to teach to the women of the town. Before long, Marcel discovers something amiss with one of his students. From there, his obsession with occult knowledge is put to use by the village elder in an attempt to save not just Carina, but the entire village. Liaison is written in a very old style, bringing to life a story set in a different time. This unique writing style adds an element of elegance and suspense as well as an air of restrained passion to the story.

Marcel’s resistance to impropriety only fuels the sexual tension as the story progresses. His resistance to give in to his desires, despite Carina’s insistence draws out the passion and desire, making for delicious intensity to the plot. A very old world type of story, Anya Howard really brings the desperation and passion alive. For any vampire lover, Liaison is a definite must-read.

Three terrific, passionate stories come together in this one volume. All three are sure to tantalize, engage, and satisfy your every need. From demons to vampires to those living in-between, there is a story for all tastes hidden within the covers of Dangerous Ties.

Mia Fairbanks set out to discover her past, she didn’t intend to live it.

When a hole in time opens, Mia finds herself in thrust into the year 1943. Is it just coincidence that it's the same year her grandmother, Betty Bishop, was arrested as a Nazi spy? Intending to prove her grandmother's innocence, she is instead embroiled in her Betty's murder investigation. Complicating matters is that the primary suspect is a super-sexy pilot. Her heart tells her he’s innocent, but a man used to keeping military secrets can surely keep a few of his own. When he accuses her of being an undercover German agent, it’s a race against time for Mia to discover the identity of the real spy before history repeats itself.

US Army Air Corps pilot Jake Sands is haunted knowing he was the last person to see Betty Bishop alive. Or was he? After being poisoned with arsenic, he is grounded from flight and decides to do a little investigating of his own. To his surprise, all the clues lead to the beautiful and mysterious Mia. He sets out to confront her and ends up being seduced by her charms, leaving him with an unanswered questions. Who is Mia -- is she one of Betty’s relatives or something far more sinister?

Set against the backdrop of secret missions, mistaken identities, Nazi spies, and larger than life characters, Mia and Jake discover the past isn’t always what it seems…

I love a good time travel novel and Out of Time didn’t disappoint me. The story opens in the middle of the Second World War and our hero is a participant in Project Rainbow. What is Project Rainbow and is it really as sinister as it seems? That’s what I was asking myself as I read the prologue. Scott does a great job drawing you into this story.

The first chapter is set in 2007 and the heroine, Mia Fairbanks is working at the Blythe Skies Ranch hoping to find more information about her grandmother, Betty Bishop. She has a locket with her photo and also the photo of a man in a uniform…Jake Sands, perhaps?

It doesn’t take Mia very long to figure out that things aren’t what they appear at this ranch and one of the guests points to her and says ‘it’s Betty’. Mia suddenly finds herself back in 1943 and staying in her grandmother’s old room at the ranch. The author throws in a nice plot twist here. It seems that it’s not just any day in 1943 but the same day her grandmother was found murdered and Jake Sands is accused of the crime. I can’t give too much away because it would ruin this story for you but I will tell you there are some great plot twists and things you don’t see coming.

The author did a great job of fitting in a lot of plot and description into this short read. If you like time travel with a touch of mystery, a dash of suspense and not to mention a surprise ending, Out of Time is your book.

Tara wasn't looking for love when she ran into the handsome stranger, but she was looking for a werewolf. She's always wanted to meet one; little does she know her wish is about to come true.

When Tara meets Logan she thinks he's as sexy as The Big Bad Wolf should be. She just has no idea he's the real thing. When another werewolf mistakenly sees Logan as a threat to his pack, things get even more complicated, and Logan's past is revealed.

Tara must decide if she can see past the beast in order to love the man. As long as he's hers, does it even matter if he's a werewolf? And besides, opportunities like this only come along Once in a Blue Moon.

Between writing “colorful” captions for pictures in adult magazines and spending time with her best friend Beth, Tara dreams of finding the right kind of bad man (not to be mistaken with bad boy) to tickle her fancy—or fantasy. While at the local gas station, she bumps into the sort of man dreams are made of. Then, like magic, she discovers he has bought the house next door and the two of them quickly decide they need to become better acquainted. But this dream man, Logan, hides a secret that could cause things to get a little “hairy” in their relationship.

Tara is a fun-loving character that the reader can’t help but fall in love with. She is blunt, witty, and not afraid to go after what she wants. Although her language is a bit over the top at times, all-in-all she is a well-written character. Now, Logan—our hero—is A+ choice of prime maleness. He is hot, lovable, sexy, kind, and even helps cook dinner and clean dishes. He is a tortured soul who hates what he has become and rises above his natural inclinations. What more could a woman want?

Ms. Kitts tells a fabulous story here that pulls the reader in and doesn’t let go until the end. Although there are a few places where the point of view jumped and some extra unnecessary chapter breaks, the story is definitely worth the read. Great job, Ms. Kitts!

Kameron Conroy doesn't like dealing with mortals, so he's startled by the sudden urge to protect Lexi James when she comes into his pub. An attack from a werewolf leads to a passionate encounter before Lexi rushes off without a goodbye. Five years later they meet again at Conall's wedding and have another steamy hook-up.

Lexi was running away from her family when she met Kameron. Now she's back in Scotland and has taken the position of town librarian. When her ex breaks into her home, Kameron is there to save her but at a great cost to him.

Kameron has lost control of his mental abilities. Saving Lexi caused him to become trapped in his own mind. Can Lexi find help for him? Will they overcome his past wounds to be together?

For those of you who have been wanting more of the compelling Tartan Series, Tartan Mind really delivers. This is an in depth story of Kameron Conroy, his mate Lexi James and the O’Keefe pack.

I’ve been fascinated by Kameron Conroy since I’ve first read about him. Kameron is minding his own business in Brody’s pub when he is struck by the sight of Lexi James. This chance meeting allows him to become her knight in shining fur when he rescues her from the O’Connell pack. Even though he is hurt in the encounter, his only thoughts are of Lexi.

Lexi James is running away from her father and the man he wants her to marry. Unfortunately, she adds Kameron to her list when she runs from him after mating with him. I could not believe that she could stay away from Kameron for five years. Then after meeting him again, she stays away for another six months. Except for the fact that I knew why Lexi was doing what she was, I would have thought she was not worthy of Kameron’s love.

I loved how Kameron was always the alpha with Lexi. From the fight with the O’Connells to the time he sees her at the wedding and drags her off to the gazebo and even to protecting her from Michael, Kameron is strong, sexy and in-charge of the situation. My heart bled for Kameron every time he was hurt. The headaches especially had me wishing I could comfort him.

This book gives me more information on the O’Keefe pack, its members and their special circumstances. I loved hearing about Ian and Elizabeth, Robin and the Twins and the others from previous stories.

Tartan Mind is a spellbinding tale that I could not put down until I was finished. I highly recommend it and all the previous books in this entertaining series of misfits and outcasts and the family they create.

Dino Martini might accept his friend Seth as a lover--if they can stay alive.

Dino Martini is an old-school P.I. in a modern age. Sure, he may do most of his work on a computer, but he carries a gun, drives a convertible, and lives on the beach. Best friend and mechanic Seth Donnelly will back him in a fight, and there's not a lot more Dino could ask from life.

Until his world is turned upside down.

A dangerous case and a new apartment are just the start. His friendship with Seth has turned into a romance, only Dino has never had a boyfriend before. Can he handle this sudden twist? Just as he begins to believe it's possible, he loses Seth in more ways than one...

Combine a southern Florida setting with an old fashioned PI who happens to start eyeing his best friend in a less than platonic way and you have a fabulous story mixing mystery and romance at its best.

Dino Martini has a lot to deal with since his building has been demolished. He has a new apartment, new office, new neighbors consisting of a group of friendly older women and to top it off, his best friend Seth just made a pass at him. When a mystery falls into his lap, Dino can’t help grabbing at it while struggling with all the recent changes in his life. Unfortunately the mystery brings more chaos than even he expected.

This is a fabulous story giving great, classic characters with a wonderful mystery and pretty hot romance. Dino is definitely old-fashioned in his ways and language, referring to the older women in his new apartment building as classy broads or dames and worrying that the eight year age difference between himself and Seth means the younger man will tire of him rather fast. Dino is great with his charm, sarcasm, romance, and even insecurity. He depends on his friendship with Seth so takes the relationship somewhat slow, even as his body knows he wants Seth often and immediately. Their relationship is delightful and fun, while being realistic and never overwhelming or over the top. Seth’s fun and outrageous personality keep him as a scene-stealer just as his loyalty and devotion to Dino show his depth beyond the flirtatious come on lines.

The mystery element of the story is also surprisingly well crafted and while the resolution is predictable, that’s not the point. The author has created a great mystery that focuses on how Dino gets from the beginning to the end rather than just the final answer. Each step and clue along the way is realistic and understandable, showing the diligent investigative work that is not always glamorous or exciting but necessary to getting through each step. The author does however keep the story moving and interesting without being boring or bland, even when the work itself is not always action packed. The final resolution felt authentic and a good solution to the problems presented, while leaving the clear potential for future stories.

From beginning to end, this story delivers on all levels. The romance, mystery, characters, writing, and setting all combine to give a great, entertaining story that will have you begging for a sequel. If you’re a fan of the m/m romance genre and often are disappointed by the lack of great mysteries, day to day details for the characters, and realistic relationship settings—this book will give you exactly what you’ve been craving. This is a classic mystery romance story with two fun men who will heat up the pages and keep you wanting to read more. Pick up this book now, you won’t be disappointed.

Ms. Davis hasn’t let her readers down with this great read. She has a known reputation for writing some of the hottest and steamiest reads she has gone beyond that reputation with Naughty Rendezvous. It’s hard to write a novella for most authors, some try and fail, this author is able to write a novella that leaves the heart panting for more. She’s able to satisfy you during the short read and she’s able to close nicely leaving you with no questions about what’s going on or what’s going to happen next. Captain Nora Bradley has full intentions of keeping her relationship with former classmate, and now First Officer, Robert Smith, purely professional when she hires him. Things begin to change, however, after bodiless invaders seduce the crew in their dreams, the entire ship becomes infected with a space flu that leads to orgiastic frenzy, and encounters with new alien races challenge all they know about sexual identity and social ideals.

As the crew endures, Nora can't help but profess her feelings for Robert . . . but can their love endure a mix-up with shape-shifters, the unexpected takeover of their ship, and intergalactic war?

Lust in Space is an extraordinary adventure where a reader gets to experience the perils, shocks and surprises found in deep space. Add in some truly inspired erotic and titillating relationships and you are in for a wild voyage.

The first thing that hit me is the character roster. Ms. Lane has written a smorgasbord of delight for any reader who enjoys the unusual, the imaginative and the bold. Alien experiences abound and the author’s depiction of creative bed play will keep you turning the pages. With so many different people on the bridge, that is a lot of ground to cover and clothes to wash.

The story is not without its share of humor and acknowledgement of the space-going adventure series that we’ve been privy to over the past few decades. There is even a clever tweak using a famous author’s name that I didn’t catch until the end of the book. I giggled when I figured it out. And if it was unintentional, well, certainly Mr. Freud would have something to say about that.

My favorite characters are really tiny secondary characters and at times I felt they stole the limelight. I enjoyed reading Ms. Lane’s very kinky and erotic relationship between Jim and Leah. I definitely laughed out loud when the Captain first met the alien trio. I could relate.

The strongest romantic thread is between Captain Bradley and First Officer Smith. Just like my favorite sci-fi fantasy show, the romance grows between all the chaos and responsibilities of ship life. Little side trips with the bridge crew create the bond that allows them to survive the many challenges facing them. Ultimately, the ones that realize true love are the ones the aliens inadvertently acted like a mirror for – sometimes it’s hard to recognize what is in front of you until someone shoves your face in it. Ms. Lane threw them a whammy.

I accepted easily enough the fantastic science behind some of the technology in Ms. Lane’s world. The only aspect I found annoying were some of the editing glitches. A couple of them are so silly, they are like brain neons – you can’t miss them. For me, the mistakes were like an itch, one I could read right through while scratching at the annoyance. I was having so much fun reading, I didn’t like the interruption.

Fun is the operative word. Lust in Space has so much to offer, from new alien virus attacks, good/bad alien attacks, emotional angst, fits of drunken excess and all out brawls. Ms. Lane embraced all that we love about sci-fi fantasy and heated it up to super-nova proportions. When Bradley and Smith finally get together, it’s not a surprise because, as you know, resistance is futile. My question for Ms. Lane is, is this a long term mission? If so, I’m applying for a boarding pass.

Tough as nails Skye Taylor considers love the mother of all four-letter words. She's witnessed too many failed relationships, and has no intention of ever falling in love.

Trent Harris wants nothing more than to show Skye how much he loves her, but with the bulletproof armor around her heart, he can't get close enough. Growing up on a Montana ranch with Skye as his playmate, and now lover, he's willing to take her any way he can have her.

Caleb Jennings knows real when he sees it, and Trent's love for Skye is as real as it gets. Trouble is, his love for Skye is just as real. He knows what they all need is love in the third degree to really spice things up.

These country boys show her how a cowboy stays warm in Montana. Skye will discover just how hot it can get when RIDING DOUBLE.

When you have two hot men willing to meet your every desire, why would you want anything more than they could give you? That is the question that I kept asking myself about Skye Taylor. Skye was an exhibitionist and seemed to crave an extra edge that she thought was lacking in her life.

At first I thought Skye was a spoiled brat. She led Trent around like her lap dog. Skye knew that Trent cared for her and would not let her be hurt but I got the feeling that she didn’t really care about him. Skye came across as the person who thinks the grass is always greener on the other side. Not only did she tempt Trent into rough situations but Skye expected Trent to meet her sexual needs whenever she snapped her fingers.

Trent Harris grew up with Skye and really did have feelings for her. I could see just by the way he gladly did everything for her that he cared deeply for Skye. I enjoyed how Trent struggled not to give into Skye after he teamed up with Caleb. I could not help but laugh when Trent said he wouldn’t do Caleb, even for Skye. That showed me how far Trent was willing to go to do whatever it took to give Skye what she really needed.

Caleb Jennings also grew up with Skye but he refused to give into her. I loved how Caleb had the strength to keep turning Skye down when she was drunk and offering herself to him. Caleb knew what Skye really needed and convinced Trent to work with him. It was great when Caleb called her bluff. When he claimed Skye was not a bad girl and then walked out saying he was going to find a real bad girl who was not a tease, I wanted to stand up and cheer.

I loved how Trent and Caleb worked together to break down Skye’s stubborn streak. When things began to be just their terms and not hers any longer I could see the growth in Skye. I loved how they helped Skye conquered her fears and become a woman I could like by the end of the story.

I believe Riding Double is a very good addition to the Siren Menage Amour line of stories. These hot cowboys are ones I’m sure I’ll be reading about again and again.

Ten years ago, Diana Thompson walked away from the only boy she ever loved. Now their paths have crossed again and the heat between them is stronger than ever. When their lives fall in line again, she can only believe it's fate. James has a different view.

James Fisher was torn apart when Diana broke things off that sunny summer day. To battle the misery of a broken heart, he threw himself into his career, reaching beyond the obvious to achieve his dreams. Now he has everything he's ever worked for in the palm of his hand. But will letting Diana back into his life cause him to lose it all?

They share a past. A few weeks during one magical summer that neither of them can forget. Once they parted, neither thought they’d come together again. Who knew Magical Riffs would be that clasp to bind them once more?

This is the fourth book in Ms. Ramagos’ Rock Hard Seduction Series and she delivers. She continues the world of Façade, bringing in the secondary characters for an unforgettable story. You feel like you’re part of the band by the end of the story.

James makes a great alpha hero: brooding, intellectual and darn sexy. He always wondered why she let him get away, why she walked away without a second thought. Who doesn’t have at least one regret in their lives? His regrets and how he acts on them helps the reader identify with him.

Diana finally gets her own story. She’s anesthetized herself from her lone regret by moving forward and never looking back. Many of us use that survival strategy. I loved watching her use and manipulate her power to realize her destiny. She’s a good role model to everyone – you can get what you want, if you work for it and are willing to work with it.

If you want a sexy novella filled with cocky rock stars and the women who love them, then Magical Riffs is the novella for you. I give this story 4 ½ cherries.

Amanda Jo Spoils needed some major alone time. She was tired of Pride life and the pampered, self-indulgent attitude of its male members. To think that she was expected to find a mate among the shallow pool of men, most of which had at least one possessive female already! She hadn't spent four years in Special Forces and completed two tours in Iraq to come home and cater to the wants of any man. No, Amanda had some serious thinking to do about her future, and the wilds of Alaska seemed to be just what the doctor ordered.

But, boy, are the shifters restless in bear country! Not only has she fallen into the middle of a mystery surrounding an ancient artifact, but also now she has not one, but also two Alpha shifters determined to make her their mate. She can play them off against each other, but what happens when one wins? Amanda doesn't want a man, or a shifter, especially not a dominant one… But oh, how she secretly longs to be a submissive, the spoils of their Alpha war.

Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations some readers may find objectionable: Ménage (m/f/m).

Ms. Foxx has skillfully brought major sexiness to this story! Even if you're not that into shifters I’ll bet anything you'd would want one of your own after reading this book.

The characters were so real and so intense. It’s hard enough to take care of one shifter, but our heroine, Amanda Jo is in charge of two--or perhaps we should say they are in charge of her. She yearns to be their submissive, but she isn’t sure if she really dares to have even one let alone two.

The sex scenes will take you to a new level of passion and cravings. A glass of ice water won’t even begin to cool you down. The first page is so hot and I couldn't believe it, but it just keeps getting hotter from there. It’s a book for any shifter fan and a definite first read for a shifter virgin!

Trapped in the remains of a plane with the woman he loves is like a dream come true. Markus prays he can convince Alyssa he’s not the womanizer she believes him to be. And if he can make her fall in love with him, his dream would be complete.

Things aren’t always as they appear and that's more than apparent in the story of Snowfire: Trapped!. Take one supposedly womanizing boss and one supposed ice queen, crash their plane in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness and you have many truths that soon are revealed.

I love how Alyssa is thought of as being an ice queen. In an attempt to keep her magick hidden, she now is on the eve of her thirty-third birthday and about to fulfill a prophecy. I loved how she freaked out Markus when she acted on her paranormal urges.

Markus is Alyssa’s boss and has injured himself in the crash. He has a huge gash and probable broken arm. He keeps trying to convince Alyssa to have sex with him to keep warm. He was fooled more than once because he didn't understand who (or what) Alyssa really was, and once I even chuckled at his surprise.

Snowfire: Trapped! left me wanting more of Alyssa’s and Markus’ story and tempted me with Alyssa’s sister Melinda. I look forward to reading more about these fascinating characters.

After months of blindfolds and secrets, after countless encounters without a single word spoken, Dean Lucas knows what his mysterious partner at the adult-only club Entice wants and gives her everything she physically desires. But now, he hungers for more than just her body—he craves her heart, too.

Betrayed by her ex-husband, Zoe Grant has finally found a way to be herself, a way to sate her long-hidden desires—without the risk of another broken heart—and the fact that she doesn’t know the man’s name, has never seen his face, suits her just fine.

But, when the two are unknowingly brought together outside their mutual comfort zone, will Zoe be able to set aside her past and surrender her trust once again—and can Dean convince Zoe, nameless or not, that love knows no bounds?

She wants nameless, voiceless sex. Get off and get out. He’s pleased to give her all her heart desires, until his own heart gets in the way. Now he’s finished with the Nameless Surrender and ready to find out who belongs to the body that’s haunting his dreams.

Ms. Daniels writes a compelling novella. Her characters are realistic and their actions completely believable. Even the rationales are interesting. You want the story to work out with a happy ending and are riveted until the very end.

The reader can identify with Dr. Zoe Grant’s struggle. Burned by her first husband, she’s afraid to give her heart again. To relieve her baser desires, she submits to a Dom at a local club. Nameless and voiceless. And darn sexy. Her requests, in combination with Ms. Daniel’s writing, make the love scenes more than words on the page – they become sensory overload.

Dean makes a great hero. For all his good intentions, he still proves he’s human. That draws the reader to him. You want to help him succeed. Then again, the tall, dominant feature is pretty sexy too. The reader can almost feel his wicked hands in each love scene. I rooted for him to gain his heart’s desires.

If you want a sexy short story guaranteed to warm any cool night, then this is the novella for you. I give Nameless Surrender 5 cherries.

On top of that, suddenly the demons are knocking on her door. The hunter is becoming the hunted.

She seeks help from an unlikely ally, Newton Price, a telepath who works for the demons. He is buff and beautiful, with scars of his own, but he won’t stay out of her head, literally.

If she doesn’t get her shifting ability, her raging hormones, and her life under control, she’s going to become demon bait. As the mystery unravels, Trinity tries to hold on to her sanity and her men, and she discovers more about her origins than she ever wanted to know.

Some people are born to greatness and others accept fate. Trinity Staten isn’t about to do either. Not until she gets super-genius Merlin Davitch into bed. Then there’s the small matter of Newton Price. Which man will she choose? Read Late Shift to find out.

Ms. Beckham writes a new twist on paranormal. Her characters are engaging and endearing. The style is quick, yet captures the reader, and makes him or her want to continue to the end.

Trinity makes an interesting heroine. She’s a fighter. She’ll take care of anyone, yet the man she yearns for doesn’t realize her affections. She doesn’t back down from a fight, even if it’ll get her killed. I liked her strength and determination. Merlin makes a great hero. He’s brainy and not the average stud for a hero, but his intelligence mixed with her brawn makes them a lethal combination. I enjoyed the addition of Newton. The three make the whole. The sex scenes sizzle with passion and entice the reader.

If you want a sexy short story, complete with a kick-butt heroine and two uniquely handsome heroes, then Late Shift is the novella for you. I give this work 4 ½ cherries.

Hot flashes aren’t the only thing steaming up this New Mexico ranch.

Literally falling in love is something you don’t normally hear about but that is what happens in this delightful story. Take a high power Marketing Director and one CEO in ranching, add a heel eating escalator and broken luggage and you have the equipment for the perfect exercise in building a team of two.

J.D. Johnston is the Marketing Director for Quantum Hotels. Her company is sending her on another team building weekend along with three other women who are already at the ranch outside Albuquerque. I loved how J.D. thought Dallas worked for Rancho Piños Altos and had him carry her broken baggage. I have to say I could not help but laugh as J.D. stripped in the truck. Dallas’ remark of classic Femininus Perio-Menopausus had me rolling.

Dallas Brooks is a Sam Elliott look-a-like according to J.D. and CEO of Circle C Ranching Enterprises. He has a very sharp and devious mind when it comes to J.D. His timing is great both in and out of the bedroom.

From the lost contact lens scene to the condom package in the bougainvillea bush, I kept smiling throughout this story. Even better, the story kept me guessing to the end not only about what would happen to Dallas and J.D. but also what J.D. stood for.

Rancho de Mucho Caliente had a great twist to the typical team building weekends that all executives dread. This is one ranch I would love to visit and I hope you will too.

Tina doesn't know she's a witch. It will take Charun, her demon Familiar, to convince her to make love with him and let loose her witch powers. For if she doesn't, then with the demon army about to bring Armageddon to the Mortal Realm on Halloween, she won't stand a chance in Hell.

He’s waited his entire life and most of his afterlife for his perfect woman – not just another vessel for sex. That’s a great thing, except that the woman of his dreams isn’t sure she’s ready for him. He’s a demon after all and she’s only a mortal. The only way the relationship will work is if they both compromise – which means Being Familiar with a Witch.

Ms. Phelan writes a new twist on the Armageddon story, complete with a plethora of demons and witches that aren’t all bad or ugly. Her characters are easy to relate to, despite the fact that they are inhuman. They each have needs and desires that run their lives, even when they don’t want them to. How do you decide? Sleep with a man you hardly know in order to save the world, or protect your heart from the unknown? Tough choice. We all make tough decisions in our lives, though not always in order to save the human race.

You can identify with Charun’s struggle. He’s in love with Tina from the moment he first sees her centuries prior to the story, yet he can’t have her until her true time. As much as he wants to push the subject, he restrains himself until she comes to him. Give the man credit for being a gentleman in a time when manners don’t always exist.

As for Tina, she’s dealing with a life of the bizarre – men she’s interested in only give her a passing glance. Her best friend dates hunks all the time. And then there’s her anger issues? Are they in her head or real? You can’t help but keep reading to see what happens to her and if things work out.

If you want a sexy read to warm a cool summer night, then this novella is it. I give Being Familiar with a Witch 4 ½ cherries.
