“I’ll call you.” That’s the last thing Gabe said fifteen years ago as Maggie prepared to fly home from a summer in paradise. When he didn’t call, she packed away the memories of their sexual romp and relegated him to vacation-fling status.

Now, as the ink on her divorce papers dries, Maggie returns to that Maui resort hoping to find the carefree woman she once was. When Gabe walks out of the waves on her first afternoon at the beach, she isn’t sure whether to laugh or run away. Hot, crazy vacation sex with no strings attached would be the perfect remedy for her bloody divorce.

Gabe thinks of Maggie as the one who got away, and he’s not about to let it happen again. The passion between them is as fiery as ever, but is it hot enough to rekindle the romance he knows they could share? He’s got one week to prove to her it is.

A sandy beach, a frosty beverage stuck in the sand and my dream man walking out of the ocean right up to my spot on the beach... Yep I could get into that!! You can too, because this is precisely how Thatcher starts this quick read.

This story of lost love recaptured, although short, will still pull you in and tug those heart strings. The author managed to make years of separation drop away and the original feelings just as strong as they were before. I found myself celebrating every kiss . The ending was a surprise that I didn't see coming but it worked in a way I'm not sure another ending could have. It was just right for the heroine in the story.

All on it's own, this is a good read. To make it even more believable check out the free read Maui Heat (also at Ellora's Cave). It's the story of the characters' past relationship. Go ahead and take a mini vacation inside this story, I don't think you'll regret your time there.

Zach is too hot for words but Marc has no intention of falling for his sexy coworker—no matter how many of Marc’s explicit dreams Zach stars in. With only a few months left of his stay in Germany, Marc doesn’t dare risk his heart with the beautiful man. But a train ride gone wrong changes everything when Zach comes to his rescue, melting Marc’s resistance in the process.

Zach’s patience has paid off. But now that the reserved scientist has turned up the heat from simmer to sizzle, four months won’t cut it. No. Zach wants forever. Will their chemistry be enough?

Geek never sounded so good. Marc is a scientist who's always led with his heart, which is the reason for avoiding Zach. When both men stopped denying their attraction, the chemistry was explosive. Now they just need to figure out the rest of forever.

One of my favorite parts of this story involved pierced nipples and dirty talk. Zach was a yummy character to read. Who doesn’t love a man with tattoos? Marc was a great combination of smarts and sexy. Oh and the shower scene had me laughing so hard. I can imagine two men in a small stall. Just hilarious!

These two characters had me riveted the minute I started the book. I love how the chemistry just seemed to burn between them. They both had so much in common which made it easy to see why they fell so hard so fast. This was a great quick read.

Straitlaced Mandy never does anything wild. She's never even had an orgasm, but when friends take her to a fetish club to celebrate her twenty-fifth birthday, all that will change.
Peter may be a buttoned-down market analyst, but he'll show Mandy that corporate and wild can mix very well.

Uptight meets uptight...what do you think will happen?

Ava Delany’s work is always hot and fast paced. This book is no exception. It’s spicy and delivers the right amount of kink to keep the reader happy. It’s a short story, so the plot happens fast—almost too fast in spots. I wanted to know more about the characters and what happened after the story. I love seeing how things work out after the last page.

I liked Mandy and Peter. In their respective ways, they are two repressed people. He’s a workaholic who wants a woman into kink. She’s in deathly fear that if she let’s go and lives a little, bad things will happen. It was easy to feel for her because she’s got issues that would be hard for lots of people to deal with. I wanted to see her get her happy ending, even if it meant coming at the end of a spanking session. Peter on the other hand, was a bit harder to come to like. He likes a woman who can handle a bit of spanking, a little anal sex, and come back for more. I liked his honesty, but I wanted to see more out of him. We get a tantalizing taste of him and it’s nice. But I wanted the full bite.

The sex scenes certainly scorch. I needed a fan and a cool drink with this one, but it was worth it.

If you want a steamy story that packs a punch, you’ll want to read Fallen. I give this short story 3.5 cherries.

Before he became a jaguar shape-shifter and STORM agent, Jack Hargreaves was a librarian and archivist. Almost a geek. Working undercover in Oxford, England, Jack can almost believe he dreamed the last few years when his life turned around.

Except for sexy shape-shifter Shere, an Egyptian goddess with eyes of melting seduction and a body built for sin. And old friends who turn out not so friendly after all.

Shere already has a colleague—and lover—in Oliver, English lord, STORM agent and vampire. But when she sees Jack, all bets are off. She wants him badly, but she wants Oliver too. Can she have both?

What should be a routine operation rapidly goes bad, and Jack, Shere and Oliver, together with Chase Maynord, face danger that threatens them all and could blow the operation wide open. Along with their bodies, hearts and minds. Could Jack’s first field operation become his last?

You have to rub more than Shere’s ears to make her purr and even then it takes a special someone. Jack is a quick learner and Oliver has been known to make her purr a time or two. With both these men lavishing attention on her she is rubbing against everything looking for attention.

I fell in love with Jack's innocence and spice for life. He has a way of making you enjoy his company even as a reader. At points I almost felt as if he was sitting in the room joking with me. Jack has experienced so much heartache and rejection it is amazing he has maintained the purity of his personality and hasn’t become bitter. It speaks greatly of the author’s ability to paint a great character and how strong this character must have been in her mind to cause me to love him as much as she did.

While Jack may have been my favorite character it does not mean that the other characters weren’t intriguing. From the main to the most minor, all of these characters made their portion of the story special and solely theirs. If you lover supernaturals with strong personalities this is the story for you. With shifters, vampires, sorcerers and a few other questionable characters, this story oozed paranormal excellence. It is not lacking in alpha males which for me was just the icing on the cake. So no matter what your taste, this story will have character for everyone so go ahead take a lick.

Although this plot follows the series plot it also has its own storyline so you will be able to enjoy this story if you have not read any of the others. Jack and Shere unquestionably make this story their own. You never know, you may want to go back and read the other stories. If you have read the previous stories you will feel right at home with this one and even see a few previous characters you may have enjoyed.

The conflicts in this story are epic. The reason Jack and Shere find their way together is because they are both investigating the same man. Seems the US and the UK both want to get a piece of Mickey, our antagonist. As if this conflict isn’t enough a previous lover/partner of Shere’s shows up. With various twist and turns the conflict will keep you wanting more until the very end.

So let’s to down the check list: Great characters? Check.  Exciting plot? Check. A must read story? Double check.

Damien loves every aspect of his life as a vampire, except feeding time. That's when his conscience decides to turn on, and he must face his dark cravings—alone. He had it all under control until Nathan disappeared one night. Damien's control is slipping on the beast inside, and he needs Nathan now more than ever. If only he didn't suspect his lover of betrayal.

Two battles must be fought. One of the heart, and one of the soul. Will Damien's fear become a reality, and the urge to kill blacken his heart before Nathan can bring him home?

Everyone has issues, even vampires. It’s how you deal with them that’s the clincher. Want to know more? Then read Blackened. You won’t be disappointed.

When I opened this book, I knew I was in for a paranormal ride and what a ride it is. Ms. Loren writes with passion that the reader can feel. I was swept up in the book and read it in one sitting, yearning for more. I’d met the characters in the previous book and loved them then. In this book, there is more of a couples’ argument feel. Even though they are vampires, it’s nice to see that supernaturals have issues like normal humans.

I couldn’t help but love Damien and Nathan. Yes, there were moments when I wanted to string the both of them up and conk them on the head. But who doesn’t have occasional issues with their friends? It’s life. Damien’s apprehension is something I could feel and identify with. He’s found this man who is all he could ever want, yet, he’s sure something’s hinky.

Although the trust issue is a little frustrating, I could understand Nathan’s point of view. He’s got issues and skeletons (shocked he’s got those, aren’t you?) in his closet that make his undead life hard. He wants to come clean, wants to be with Damien. My heart ached for the man. He’s so conflicted you can’t help but pity him.

I loved the ending, even if it was a bit quick. This story is all around fast paced, which makes it a breeze, but I wanted to see more. I’m hoping there’s more in store for Damien and Nathan. I can’t wait.

If you want a story that’s hot but has a lot of heart, then you need to read Blackened. I give this short story 4 cherries.

How is one innocent country girl to choose between a Duke, a Marquis and an Earl? Must she?

When Miss Alicia Silverwood marries the Earl of Dorchester, he whisks her off to Notre Plaisir, a country manor where erotic surprises await in the company of three powerful lords.

The young Earl needs a wife and heir. The cynical Marquis de Beaumont needs a playmate. And the commanding Duke of Warrington needs a reason to live. As for the new Lady Dorchester, she’s about to discover the true nature of her own sensual needs. On top of that, she’s falling in love.

It might take a miracle for Lady Alicia and her three lords to come to an arrangement that makes them all happy. Or perhaps all that’s required is a little scandalous rule-breaking.

What's a Lady to do when her naughtiest fantasies are revealed to her, and they are far beyond what she ever expected?

Lady Alicia is in a quandary, and what a glorious one to be in. Her husband, the Earl, has been convinced that he wouldn’t be good enough for her first bedding, so he instructs his friend (the instigator in this whole plot), the Marquis, to seduce and tease her, then the Earl takes over the deflowering. Eventually their friend, the Duke comes into the picture. He offers Alicia all that she could ever want, but you’ll have to read this yourself to find out what!

I really enjoyed this book. I was a little shocked actually. I have been leery of reading any historicals lately, but Ms. Bell was able to make me forget and just enjoy the story. She made the characters believable - Alicia’s haughtiness, the Earl’s obsession with his horses, the Marquis’ playboy-esque mentality, and the Duke’s despair.

Ms. Bell had me gobbling up this story from the first page. It was incredibly hot and steamy. Despite the fact that one of my hot buttons was pushed, I was easily able to overcome any concerns I had, and desperately enjoyed the story.

This is a highly recommended read, for all those who enjoy when everyone wins, when the foreplay is enough to make you squirm and shake, and when the love shines through and makes you grin.

When Karin Lattimer moves across the country and her over-protective brother asks his friend Caleb Hawkes to keep an eye on her, she’s more than annoyed…she’s turned on. The attentive cop is a walking wet dream, but Karin knows he’s only hanging around out of a sense of duty. Acting on her crazy attraction would reveal more than the man’s buff body—it would also reveal her heart.

Caleb is well aware that Karin is all woman. He can’t keep his eyes off her and his hands itch to touch her. But she’s not one-night-stand material, and he firmly believes cops make lousy partners for long-term relationships.

Still, thinking clearly isn’t a top priority when Karin and Caleb finally touch. Sparks fly and barriers melt away as easily as their inhibitions, but can she convince him there's more to life than playing it safe?

You want the man, he seems to want you, but nothing seems to happen when you want it to. Do you get angry? Get even? Or do you plot to show him precisely what he’s missing? I guess you need to read Blue Light Special to learn more.

Mysti Holiday writes intriguing stories that are guaranteed to make the reader blush. I know when I open one of her books, I’m in for a hot time. Blue Light Special is no different. The characters will stay with you long after you finish the book. Although it’s short, it’s worth reading again and again.

Karin, the heroine, took a lot for me to like her. Initially, she comes off very angry and I don’t mean like snarky, but like she’s been through something and it's gnawing away at her. It’s hard because the story is so short and we don’t really get to delve into her past. But as the story progresses, she redeems herself and I saw why her irritation was justified.

Caleb, well, I loved him from the word go. He’s strong, forceful, and won’t take the garbage Karin dishes out. He’s got a lot on his plate as well. I got to see what made him tick and why he’s so averse to commitment. It’s a heady reason. My favorite scene is the one in the cemetery. There is so much emotion, I found myself choking up a bit.

If you want a story chock full of hot sex, tension, and gross negligent use of a soda gun, then you need to read Blue Light Special. I give it 4 cherries.

My name is Isabella Blackburn, and I am a voyeur. At least that’s how it all began. Along the way, I’ve developed a taste for exhibitionism, foursomes and role-playing. Okay, I confess. I’m obsessed with sex, the more taboo the better.

If there’s a cure, you can keep it. I don’t want to be saved. Not when three sexy younger men are ready, willing and able to satisfy my carnal appetites. Yeah, baby! I’m having the time of my life and acting out all my wicked fantasies down to the most decadent details.

All three men heat me up, but one of the guys drives me absolutely wild. I might have to hang on to Rhys for a while, even if he does make me act a little crazy at times.

Don’t be jealous. Surrender to temptation and leave your inhibitions at the door. Take a walk on the wild side and have some fun. We both know you want to give in and indulge your most sinful desires.

Wouldn’t we all love to have our deepest desires made into reality, even more so if we find true love in the process?

Isabella Blackburn is a very sexual creature, but she reins it in to the best of her abilities. After numerous nights of spying on her sexy neighbors and their sexual exploits on the deck, she is surprised to get an invitation to join in the fun. The foursome eventually turned into more, when she fell madly in love with Rhys. Marriage changes everything not only for the couple but the friends that brought them together too.

Rhys and Isabella are a great couple, both honest with their sexuality, which makes them even stronger as characters. The chemistry in the book was explosive, not only between Rhys and Isabella, but also between Max and Brayden. One of the best things is that everyone got their happily ever after. I wasn’t left wondering about what happened and I loved that.

This book is filled with steamy sex and even sexier men. Written in the heroine’s point of view you still fall madly in love with the other characters in the book. Ms. Austin does a great job of describing everything to where you feel a part of the book and making you want to read more. This is definitely worth the read.

One act of kindness cements a destiny she couldn’t fathom.

An Enchanted story.

As a child, the Lost Woods were Hannah’s passion. A place where she dreamed of mysterious creatures, including one she saved—a man who magically changed into a wolf. Now, twelve years later, the woods are her refuge from a horde of marauders who killed her mother.

This time, it is the wolf who saves her. And he is no dream.

Stephan can’t help but remember the time Hannah encouraged him to free his injured leg and continue the soul journey required of his kind. The child unwittingly bound herself to him, and now the woman tempts him like no other. Yet if she learns his secret, her fragile trust could be broken for all time.

Hannah doesn’t see how she can possibly fit into Stephan’s world—especially when their overwhelming passion reveals the one reason she should not trust him. Stephan has fought more than his share of battles, but the one for Hannah’s heart is the one that could break his own…

Red Riding Hood has ventured into the woods one to many times and now there’s no escaping this Wolf…good thing she’s not interested in getting away!

Hannah never thought she would ever again see the young man she befriended as a child. Nor did she anticipate that one childhood indiscretion would haunt her all the way into adulthood. But Stephen has returned and the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

If you like descriptive settings, heart wrenching storylines, and characters that grab you from the beginning, you will love Cara Carnes' short story Wolf. I am a sucker for a good Alpha shifter story. I want the hero to be strong, self confident and madly in love with his chosen mate. At the same time the heroine needs to be able to hold her own while aching to give herself completely to her hero. Ms. Carnes did not disappoint.

Both Hannah and Stephen were beautifully created characters. Their chemistry and connection are powerful and poignant. The secondary characters gave depth and tension to the story that kept me turning the pages. Ms. Carnes breathed new life into this children’s tale that made it unique, fun and exciting.

Wolf isn’t Ms. Carnes' first foray into the paranormal and this reviewer hopes that it isn’t her last. For a short read with a lot of heart as well as heat, pick up a copy of Wolf. Fairy tales never had so much bite!!

Reed Brody is head of the geek squad for the local police. At work, he’s intense and driven; after hours, he can’t help but use that same drive in his sex life. Too bad he can’t find a woman interested in a few bondage games.

Halli Wilson is a quiet coffee shop owner who also hosts sex-toy parties on the side. Too bad she can’t find a guy man enough to tie her up and take her down.

Halli only bargained for a month. Reed’s never wanted forever. Two people determined to keep it light make the biggest mistake of all by falling in love.

Single white male looking for a friend for a fun night. Toys, fetish, and a little kink preferred. Single white female with more than one hang up about sex looking for a nice house and a future... not necessarily in that order. Toys in possession... but usage? Maybe.

Have I piqued your interest? I should’ve. Scalded is worth more than a passing glance. Much more.

Desiree Holt and Allie Standifer have created a great little set of stories guaranteed to make your cheeks blush. I needed a cold drink and a fan for this one. I felt like I was right there with Halli and Reed as they fumbled through the motions of a relationship. I felt their emotions as if they were my own and didn’t want this story to end. If I had any issue, it was that the ending was quick and I wanted more! I need to know what happened next. Although it moved with a brisk pace, it was satisfying and left me smiling.

Halli is a fun character. She’s human and has issues. She sells sex toys, but she’s scared to use them. Imagine being eyeball to eyeball with a sex toy that’s larger than life. Yup, her apprehension is palpable. But I loved her sense of adventure. Reed isn’t the type to just let her go about her business. He’s alpha through and through. There were times when I thought he was almost too forward, but it was endearing because it was who he was down to his bones. And when these two get together, holy moly! It’s hot and sexy and you don’t want it to end. Yeah, it’s that good.

My name is Officer Drake. I'm genetically enhanced to be the best damn policeman there is. I can snap a werewolf in two. I can outrun a car. That's not boasting. Those are the facts.

I'm designed to protect and serve, and when I spot a plush little bunny shifter by the name of Hunny Lapin, that is exactly what I do. I protect her from a strip club owning vampire and serve up her every desire in bed. 'Course, that lands me in a whole heap of trouble, but it's nothing I can't handle. I'm a supercop, remember?

I cannot believe how cute and fun and absolutely delightful reading about a cop falling in love with a were-bunny could be until I read Protect and Serve: Badge Bunny.

This story is told in first person point of view but each chapter takes turns telling it from either Drake or Hunny’s POV. No head hopping in this bunny story. Ms. Sax simply has to have the best sense of humor because her characters come alive in this story with personality, wit and charm. My overall reaction to the story as a whole is that it was cute and huggable. I am amazed that it truly was that entertaining all the way through and even when the action and fighting ensued I still could not stop smiling. I mean when Drake met Uncle Flopsy I was quite impressed because he was a very cool and hip secondary character.

Hunny is endearing. She’s also not afraid to do the right thing which is what gets her in trouble in the first place. Another aspect of her character is that she enjoys role playing and sex and yet she’s a good girl; she just has a very healthy appetite – but for one man. She also has a brain and is very clever but she’s still a woman who needs protection and she really loves her Drake.

Drake is this mean, bad dude the criminals don’t mess with. I so enjoyed the fact that for all his ferociousness, he cuddles his bunny. At one point Hunny shifts and I have to tell you, the author has an awesome grasp of effective descriptions. I smiled, I oooh’ed and aaah’ed and just felt all warm and fuzzy many times throughout reading about Drakes interactions with his bunny love.

The dialogue is a riot. The puns, the clever quips, the ribald jokes -- there is so much fun and entertainment throughout the book I’m in awe of Ms. Sax. Even the verbal sparring between Drake’s partners on the force was funny. And although there was a bad guy and his plan was truly diabolical and sick, the author chose not to sink this story into some sort of depraved romantic suspense story but kept it positive, upbeat and life-affirming. The external conflict pushed the two love bunnies together and united them and I think that is what the book is about – romance. There are so many moments of true romance or romantic moments that it’s sure to please other romance readers too. And when Hunny and Drake do the physical tango, it’s as hot, fun and passionate as an erotic romance reader could wish.

I whole-heartedly recommend reading Protect and Serve: Badge Bunny especially for those readers looking for a quick romance that has a lot of heart and humor. This is a book I’d tell my friends about and hope they‘d read it too just so we could trade quotes and quips back and forth. There were so many fun one-liners and references, it was that enjoyable and even the happily ever after was lighthearted and special. I’m running out of adjectives to express how wowed I am with this book. I adore the author’s voice and am hoping she writes other books with that same sense of style and humor because I want to read those too. I’m a very happy camper and I’m throwing up five cherries into the air in celebration. Protect and Serve: Badge Bunny rocks!

It’s been a year since her divorce and Lily Justice is ready to move on—but not with just any man. She’s got a certain drool-worthy body shop owner in mind. It’s almost convenient that her car needs some work. And when she meets Kyle Wolff up close and personal, her inner-slut has to have him, age difference be damned. With the car staying at the shop, Kyle graciously offers to give her a lift home.

While she accepts a ride on Kyle’s hot motorcycle, Lily’s inner-slut wants a hot ride on Kyle.

She’s about to get what she wants. And it will be the ride of her life…

Hot, hard, and perfect for a lazy summer afternoon or a chilly fall evening.

I know when I delve into an Anne Rainey book, I’m going to come away happy. This book didn’t disappoint. Ride of Her Life is exactly that, a steamy hot ride through the lives of Lily and Kyle. It might be set in small town Ohio, but I certainly felt like I was right there, floating down the main drag and hanging out in the local park. It might have been a quick read, but it’s one I suggest you read again and again.

Lily is not without issues. Thirty-six, recently divorced from a jerk, she’s unsure of herself. Who wouldn’t be? Although she assumes an awful lot and at times comes across a bit needy, it makes perfect sense once we meet the antagonist. He’s a pill and I’m glad she got away from him. Once she comes into her own, this is a woman who can’t be stopped and I rooted for her all the way!

But the best part of this book was Kyle. Talk about a hunk! Whew. I wish I had a Kyle in my closet. I liked the little glimpses of domination in his personality that I’d love to see at full blossom. Plus, who can turn down a man whose good with his hands and rides a chopper? I’m sold.

The love scenes in this book are excellent. You know the characters care about each other and unlike some erotica stories that are shorter, the scenes aren’t rushed or thrown in too quickly. I really got a sense that something deeper was building each time Lily and Kyle touched.

If you want a story that will stick with you far after the last page, then I’d suggest Ride of Her Life. This is one for my keeper shelf. 5 cherries indeed.
