Evin KinKaid, the only son of the KinKaid pack's alpha, has a secret. One that will tear his family apart. In one year, Evin is to succeed his father as alpha leader and continue the dominant bloodline of his family. There's only one problem: Evin is gay. When Evin is pushed into the bed of his intended female mate, he's forced to reveal the truth. And for an alpha male wolf shifter promised to a female whose goal is to one day be queen, coming out has never been more explosive.

To Mason Thorne II, heir to Thorne Global Inc., life is a lie. To sustain his father's love, Mason has agreed to stay in the family business and to one day assume his place as CEO. Instead of reaching for his heart's desire, he's settled for a life he never wanted. But an unexpected auto accident will send Evin and Mason into each other's arms and down a path toward a destiny neither man can escape: an eternity sealed in blood.

The choice between being happy when it means going against your family has never been easy for anyone, yet it continues to plague many. We have all had to make decisions in our lives that our family would not approve of. Evin KinKaid and Mason Thorne are no different. This is probably one of the first things that drew me to this story, because I too have had to draw a line between keeping myself happy or those around me.

I could not imagine being in Evin’s position. To have to bed a woman you are absolutely not attracted to because of your sexual preference. I truly do sympathize with him. He really does put the needs of others in front of his own and anyone who does that deserves something for themselves. The only thing that Evin asked for himself is Mason, and as far as I was concerned he deserved him. There were moments in this story when I forgot I was reading and felt like Evin was a close friend coming to me for support, and for that I say bravo to author Jessica Lee.

Hot, steamy lovemaking was a big part of what this story provided. Evin and Mason could not keep their hands off each other. With those deliciously muscular bodies I can understand why. The passion when these two made love leaped off the pages. Not only were these scenes spicy but they were also romantic at the same time. In my opinion they were perfectly written with just the right amount of everything.

The subplot in this story was like the dollop of whip cream on top of an ice cream sundae. The story would have been good without it, but you might have felt like something was missing. I really think it worked well. The author even made you feel a little sympathy towards the antagonist at one point, which is a trait I have always enjoyed since antagonists are people too.

Once I started reading this story I could not put it down because I just had to see how the plot played out. I'm betting you will feel the same way.
