All her life, tomboy Bradi Kincaid has wanted two things—a career as a veterinarian in her hometown of Grayson, Texas…and Mason Montgomery. Problem is, he’s her best friend and, according to him, she’s “one of the guys”. Convinced he’ll never see her otherwise, Bradi comes up with a sure-fire plan to get over Mason—flirt a little, dance a lot and get laid.

What Mason imagines doing to Bradi is just all kinds of wrong. But the woman on the dance floor isn’t the girl he grew up with. She’s hot and sexy and turning him on. Him and every other man in the bar. She’s also had too much to drink and is unaware of the trouble she’s inviting. He does what any friend would—he steps in, then sets out to teach her a lesson.

But before the sun rises, Mason discovers Bradi has a thing or two to teach him.

Can we “forget we’re friends and have no-holds-barred sex?” With a line like that, I wondered why some men can be so dumb when it comes to a girl’s feeling for them. I wanted to take Mason Montgomery out behind the barn and knock some sense into him. Between the craziness and the two main characters, this story does make for a heartwarming and exciting read.

I so love a narrative such as this because the theme and characters are so believable and come to life within the pages of the book. The play of emotion and that crazy thing we call love making a mess out of friendship and turning everyone’s life upside down...well, mostly Mason’s life. Bradi Kincaid knows she is in love with Mason and is tired of him seeing her as his best friend. However, there is always trouble in paradise before the happy ever after as Ms. Lace demonstrates in the spinning of the plot of this sweet short story.

The slow sensual dance that Ms. Lace describes shows you the passionate beginning of love in the beautiful words and visual details she uses. Not the average love story but a vivid and delicious tale of two people who have trouble saying what they feel and end up tearing each other apart before they learn how to talk to each other. I think that is what makes this book so enchanting -- I could relate to the characters and wanted to give them advice to help them through the heartache.

Definitely well written with a sweet and believable plot, a must read for anyone who wants a short story that will leave them smiling and relaxed. Such a sweet erotic romance.

Jeff is a deliberate loner: he’s had his heart broken once, and he won’t let it happen again. Ready to rebuild his life, he goes on holiday. Alone. Until he meets Benet -- and finds that the human heart is not so easily controlled.

Unable to resist the siren call of Benet's sweet, beautiful nature, Jeff decides a fling can't hurt, but all he wants is sex and company; anything more just leads inevitably to disappointment and betrayal. But Benet slithers under his guards and breaks all Jeff’s new-set rules. Will he obey his brain and stop for the Red Light or will he give in to the heart’s impulse and run it?

A vacation fling always stays easy, or so Jeff thought. Reeling from a broken heart, Jeff decides to go on vacation alone. When a chance encounter brings the sexy Benet into Jeff’s life, the two decide to have an easy, light fling. Jeff is determined not to get his heart broken again and thinks that love is just too much hassle. No matter that his feelings for Benet seem to grow each day until the point that Jeff can either run or face his fears.

Red Light is a lovely, charming contemporary romance. The story involves some secondary characters from White Flag but there’s no need to read the previous book to understand this one. The story focuses on the opposites attract theme of two men that meet on vacation and enjoy their time together. Predictably, their feelings grow more serious and meaningful, but Jeff is terrified of being hurt again. This is the main conflict and there is a genuine question of if or how Jeff will overcome past rejection.

Jeff is a sympathetic, if slightly frustrating character. He rationalizes everything and seems determined to stick to his earlier decisions regardless of anyone or anything that happens. Benet is less well understood as the story is told from Jeff’s first person perspective and very little is offered about Benet. Their relationship mostly develops within the sex scenes, but there isn’t a clear understanding of why and how they fall in love. This is overshadowed by the totally adorable and delightful cast of secondary characters, Benet’s employers and new family. The various men and women really steal the story in vibrant and eye catching ways. If nothing else, you don’t want to miss the story for their contribution.

The writing is very ethereal and has a lovely, rambling quality. It feels almost fey and rarely makes direct statements. The prose tends to talk around the setting and characters in abstract terms, which makes for a charming read but won’t be for every reader. Those fans who liked White Flag are likely to adore this story – in fact it’s extremely similar. The story is an entertaining and easy romance, perfect for a light day.

Deep in the mountain wilderness, Lucia Chavez searches for closure to her father’s death, and the mythical black cougar he sought. Drop-dead sexy Cherokee Indian guide Sam Starr knows more than he’s telling. After he saves Lucia from being swept away in a mudslide, the bath they both need turns steamy indeed.

Sam and Lucia are living proof that near-death experiences can bring two people closer together—they can’t keep their hands off each other.

Amidst danger and mystery, Sam and Lucia explore the lust that burns between them. If their desire gets any stronger it could bring down the mountains. Ancient secrets hold the key to their unbridled sexual need. Was their passion written in the stars?

One man. One woman. A curse that binds them—and could tear them apart.

Sam has lived a life of solitude in what some would think is a cursed existence. When the one thing he has been patiently waiting over two centuries for lands on his mountain, he is skeptical and wonders what the spirits would have of him now. Danger is not far behind and the threat is now too great to ignore. Lucia just wants to live out her father’s dream, a dream that he ultimately died for, by capturing a picture of the elusive black cougar. Having thought that her father’s untimely death was due to his sheer determination to not leave the mountain where the creature had been spotted, Lucia begins her own journey into the wilderness only to discover the true meaning of her life.

The collaboration between these two fantastic authors is magical. The imagery in the story is amazing and the story of how the black cougar curse came to be was beautifully written. This is truly a one of a kind shapeshifter tale with a mixture of both eroticism and romance. The pacing was easy throughout most of the story and then sharpened with the climax of the plot. The characters are memorable and with much of the focus centered on Sam and Lucia, the sexually heated scenes are scorching. And if all of that isn’t enough, the surprise twist will leave you wanting more.

I fully recommend this wonderfully woven tale of love, revenge, loss, and redemption.

Jonathon Pfister’s life has settled into a maudlin existence since the death of Greg, his lover of seventeen years. But Greg’s daughter Jeana has decided she’s had enough, so she rents a small apartment in Vienna for him as a Father’s Day present. Jonathon agrees to go, against his better judgment.

Surprisingly, Jonathon finds the change of scenery refreshing, and he even makes a young friend in Hans, his landlady’s son. Then Hans’s older brother returns home, and Jonathon begins to truly awaken. Fabian touches something inside him, especially when the younger man takes it upon himself to woo Jonathon in full Viennese style, with a waltz. But shadows of the past and expectations for the future loom over them both and will have to be banished for their lovers’ dance to stay in step.

“I don’t want to go on without him.” When we lose someone we love, nothing matters to the ones left behind, those that would give anything to have their loss love back. Jonathon Pfister would give any thing to turn back time and have his partner back in his arms. In this wonderful soul-searing story, you will cry when Jonathon’s partner of seventeen years, Greg, dies. When you begin to read, you can feel the love and care between Jonathon and Greg and you will find tears in your eyes as you are drawn in to the story and fall for the characters. Nothing prepared me for the emotional roller coaster that I found myself on while I read this book and nothing -- and I mean nothing -- could tear me away from the story until I finished it.

Two years after his death Greg’s daughter, Jeana realizes that Jonathon will continue to grieve until someone pushes him back to the land of the living. Therefore, she talks him into a trip to Vienna for a two-month vacation while she tours Europe before starting college--a new and exciting place where memories of his life with Greg would not intrude. Some place where he could make new memories and start smiling again. One thing Jonathon is not looking for is a new lover but as the plot goes on, and “with more luck than he figured one person deserved,” he finds himself falling in love again and he may return home with more than his suitcases... or maybe not. Will Fabian become a vacation fling or will Jonathon let go of the past and look for a future with a new partner?

Andrew Grey has a style of writing that opens the mind and allows you to explore beyond gender, drawing you into the hearts and feeling of the lovers and the people around them. What stand out are the characters' personalities and the plot itself--the tears and laughter found between the pages that leave you biting your nails and worried about the ending.

Would I recommend this book? You bet! And for any reader that wants to try a M/M story for the first time I would highly recommend reading this book. Some authors have a technique of writing that pulls at the heartstrings and can spin such an amazing tale that you cannot help but love their books and Mr. Grey worked his magical writing talent once more on Accompanied by a Waltz.

He looks good on a horse, but it’s hard to love a man with a big ego and a small alibi.

Paul King’s inheritance is named Serenity Stables, but for him it’s far from serene. He has one plan for the crumbling facility: unload it as fast as possible. But two months on the market, and he’s still mucking stalls and dreaming of his old life back in San Francisco.

It doesn’t help that he seems to have misplaced a horse. Not just any horse—Tux, a million-dollar Warmblood who, despite lacking opposable thumbs, has an Olympic medal to its name. So does its Brazilian trainer, Estevan Souza, a man whose darkly sexual, smoldering glances almost make Paul forget his horse phobia.

Intriguing as Paul finds Estevan, distractions are piling up. The boarders are picky. The arena roof is leaking. His drunken cousin is wreaking havoc. Tux’s owners are threatening to sue. On top of that, a bucket of blood points to possible murder.

Suddenly, Estevan’s glances are looking more suspicious than sinful. And, if Paul can’t come up with a plan to save Tux, he could lose not only his chance with Estevan, but his life.

“Life takes a dump, and you scoop it up and move on.” That is how Paul King felt when he lost his job and inherited a run-down equestrian boarding facility from his aunt Beth. Most of us can all relate to downsizing in today’s economy and know how if feels to let go of a job you love and take on a job you hate, like cleaning horse stalls in a backwoods town you left behind years ago.

It was the title and horse on the cover of this book that caught my eye and the rest was history because I had to get it. I have never read any of Astrid Amara's books, so I was very pleased at her knowledge of horses and the running of equestrian boarding facilities, which not only added a feel of realism but also created an incredible entertaining story. As I watched the unique and charming personalities of Paul and Estevan Souza come alive as well as the secondary characters, I found it hard to put the book down. However, this story is not a short read so I could not finish it before bedtime.

Up early the next day, I had my nose back in the book eager to see if a missing horse had been found or if he was dead. I also needed to find out if there was anything going on between Paul and Estevan, who seemed to be dancing around each other without really coming out and giving you an idea if there was more than friendship connecting them. To say that I was completely blown away with the plot and all the action that took place within the story is an understatement, for I found myself completely enchanted by the story line as well as the characters and chomping at the bit to see what would happen next.

There is definitely conflict, trust issues, mystery, and suspense found through out the pages that made it hard to lay the book down. I found it well written and jam-packed with all the elements that make a book worth reading. I'm definitely looking for more books by this author. It was a pleasure to review this story and recommend it to all my friends.

Kidnapped from Earth and transported to planet Zorn to be sold as a sex slave, Shanna is one angry, frightened woman ready to fight anyone who tries to touch her. Raised in foster care, she’s not going to take any crap off some alien men no matter how big, terrifying or muscular they are. Before she can be sold, she’s freed by a huge, sexy Zorn warrior…a warrior with the most beautiful blue eyes she’s ever seen. Shanna demands he take her under his protection when she realizes she’s stuck on Zorn.

Hyvin Berrr, the leader of Zorn, thinks humans are helpless and weak. Shanna decides to teach the big hunk he’s wrong by knocking him on his backside. He might think she’s playing but she’s trying to teach him a lesson. She’s not sure if she wants to fight her feelings for the sexy alien, though if a woman has to lose a battle, this just might be the one time to concede.

Whenever I want to read a steamy sci-fi story with sexy heroes and feisty heroines, I know I can turn to Laurann Dohner. Her stories never fail to keep me entertained from beginning to end. The latest installment of her Zorn Warriors series, Berrr’s Vow, is no different.

Berrr’s Vow has everything erotic romance fanatics crave. Aside from the obvious heat, there is also a lot of emotion and conflict. After the heroine, Shanna, is abducted from earth and taken to Zorn, she is uncertain of what awaits her.

Salvation comes in the form of Hyvin Berrr, the leader of Zorn. He’s as gorgeous as he is intimidating, as strong as he is gentle. After he ensures her safety, Shanna pleads with Berrr to keep her under his care. Berrr agrees to Shanna’s request, but there is a problem. Berrr is bound to another.

As I read Berrr’s Vow, I wondered how Shanna and Berrr would find happiness. They share an immediate connection, but they are not free to be together. Although their chemistry is undeniable and leads to a sexual relationship, the past continues to haunt Berrr. His vow to remain with a woman he doesn’t love means he will never be free to be with Shanna as he longs to -- as a lifelong partner who will share his home and have his children.

Shanna, on the other hand, isn’t as concerned about her status so long as she can remain with Berrr. She’ a street smart girl who knows how to defend herself, and she’s not willing to let anyone come between her and the man she’s started to love. Unfortunately, when Berrr’s significant other returns, Shanna has to confront the laws of Zorn. If she’s willing to make the ultimate sacrifice, she might be able to claim to the man who has stolen her heart. However, if she fails, she could lose more than Berrr -- she could lose her life.

Berrr’s Vow unfolds at a perfect pace, allowing the reader to care about Shanna and Berrr. Their banter is witty and comical, while their romps between the sheets positively sizzle. I absolutely love the world that Ms. Dohner has created. On Zorn, women are treated with the utmost respect and care. However, Zorn warriors are extremely dominant and possessive. Creating heroes you can love despite their tendencies to be possessive create a perfect balance for headstrong heroines.

Fans of sci-fi romance will love Berrr’s Vow. If you haven’t met the Zorn warriors yet, now is a perfect time to do so. I can’t wait to read future works by Ms. Dohner. She has become one of my favorite sci-fi erotic romance authors.

In the next installment of the Wolf Harem series, Ryder and Luc are desperately trying to help in the aftermath of the bombing. They call on pack leaders for help and resources to aide Spencer and Dean. While Luc focuses on helping their men, Ryder works on the cover up, to hide every possible detail which could potentially reveal their true identities to the human police. As they work through the situation and fear losing the two men they love, there's one mystery they must solve, who hates them enough to send a bomb intended for murder?

What could possibly be hotter than four gorgeous guys in one big bed? Why five gorgeous guys of course! Joyee Flynn turns up the heat with the third book in her Wolf Harem series. Let me tell you why Dying Assassin is a must read for m/m menage fans...

I truly anticipate reading Joyee Flynn's series because she continues the love story of the couples introduced in all of the previous books. It begins with Spencer and Ryder, then continues with each book to change their relationship by adding a new man. These kind of relationships seem impossible until you learn more about the men and the circumstances that bring them together. The protagonists in this book are all so unique that they each bring something special to complete “harem”. Each scene was designed to illustrate the love these men have for each other. I was touched by the dedication of all the members of this little family to make their partners happy by self sacrifice and thoughtfulness. By the end of the book you'll be able to see that losing any one member of their group would devastate them and their special bond.

Another singular feature in shifter books is the bond between mates. Ms. Flynn manages to maintain the faithfulness in each mate while adding a new companion to the union. The scenes she creates are incredibly imaginative and leave the reader with a clear picture of what is happening. When these men get together in bed, a plane, and other random flat surfaces, the fireworks are almost overwhelming. These boys should come with their own "Smoking Hot" warning label.

This is book includes violence from outside forces. I can appreciate a story that allows the good guys to struggle just enough to refine their personalities. This refinement is evident as each person must deal with their own battles, and stand ready to unite with their lovers to face their foes. The protectiveness shown for their mates made me smile on several occasions.

This book does end with a cliffhanger, but it does not in any way endanger the partnership of the harem. I've added a BDSM tag to this review but it is not a strong element in the book and is, in my opinion, very light in nature. I strongly suggest reading the first two books in this series before continuing to Dying Assassin. This book is written in first person, and includes two different perspectives. Do not be concerned by this as the change in perspective makes perfect sense and really adds to the understanding of the story.

I highly suggest you read the Wolf Harem series, especially Dying Assassin as it is my favorite so far. There were moments that I laughed so hard I had to find my place again. I think you'll really enjoy this book and recommend picking it up today. I'll end with my favorite quote from the book: "Well, we can't have you upset, baby." I chuckled, taking his hand. "You're the one who feeds me."

Becca and Tyler are wonderfully developed characters, and their shared past adds a great deal of authenticity to their renewed relationship. Ms. Tuhart skillfully builds anticipation as Becca and Tyler gradually ease their way back into a sexual relationship. The Quicksilver Ranch is a unique and imaginative setting which significantly adds to the novel’s appeal.

Engaging characters, creative sex, and a distinctive setting quickly engage the reader in this well-written and fast-paced novel. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time is not always a bad thing?

Noah Anderson is odd and he knows it. He has a strong obsessive compulsive disorder that keeps him organized but distances him from the world around him. He doesn't have any friends, family, or even a lover. He's never had a lover.

When he finds himself in the wrong place at the right time, Noah discovers that the dangers posed by having sex for the first time pale in comparison to having sex with the assassin that comes to kill him, even if it means his life.

Gage Tynan is a killer. It's what he's always been. And he excelled at his job until he jumped into the car of a passing motorist when his latest mission goes wrong. The man driving is so odd that Gage suspects he might have been sent to harm him. Gage has no idea that the little man that asks him to take his cat will change his life in ways he has no clue of.

Gage is dragged into a world of shifters and exiled kings, one where his strength will be called upon to keep Noah safe from the pride soldiers sent to keep him from taking the throne.

I'm not sure I've ever encountered a more unlikely couple than Gage and Noah in The Cat's Meow. It came as a complete and welcome surprise to find myself so caught up with their courtship and romance. Ms. Glenn proves with this book that true love and adversity are often the very things needed to unleash the hidden potential in a person.

As is often the case, the story begins with an intense sexual attraction between the protagonists. It is only outside of the bed that Noah and Gage are at odds. Noah's character was obsessive to the extreme, quiet and withdrawn...resigned. I remember thinking that this guy seemed almost like an alien who had read a how-to guide on being human. Gage, the ultimate man's man is seemingly heartless and jaded. While polar opposites, their growing love for each other makes them the perfect team.

Ms. Glenn has a way of changing the mood within just a couple of sentences. For instance, I was deeply touched by the tender words spoken at the beginning of a page, only to be caught completely off guard by a hysterical comment in the following paragraph. By the end of the same page a fan was needed due to the heat created by her descriptive wording.

It's so much fun when a book takes tradition and turns it upside down. You'll find that the expected climax is almost secondary to the real struggle in this tale. This concept is displayed in many of her books, where the solution to the real problem was there all the time, the characters just needed to grow as people before the answer became clear. Others surrounding the couple prove to Gage and Noah that they are not alone, and need to learn they can trust and rely on others.

This is one of my favorite books that Ms. Glenn has written. It's really amazing how she creates totally new worlds with each of her series titles. I look forward to more books in this series. Many other fascinating characters are introduced which served only to whet my appetite for more. If you enjoy a fast paced, original romance, with witty banter and steamy love scenes, this is absolutely the book for you. I'll end with my favorite quote from the book: “Whatever we have together, wherever we are, that will be our home.”

Kierra's been trying to get Dekker's attention since they first met. His Nordic good looks and old world charm send shivers of heat straight through her every time she sees him.

An invitation to a vampire-themed rave seems like just the thing to help him see her as more than a friend -- until she discovers it's not just a theme. And now she's tangled up in a world she thought only existed in romance novels -- only these vampires are far from hunky knights in shining armor.

It's the twenty-first century. Who keeps slaves anymore? Other than really, really old vampires...

What’s not to like about a romance writing Viking vampire? I guess it could be the folks he hangs around with or the fact that once a person knows about vampires they can never leave. But would they really want to?

The book is told from the Dekker’s first person point of view and Kierra’s first person point of view, alternating between chapters.

There is a lot that goes on in this book. There are old rivalries and betrayals, political power plays and innocence lost. Kierra’s life is completely altered when a villain from Dekker’s past shows up and raises the ante by kidnapping her. It’s the pivotal moment when their budding romance gets accelerated to the point of no return. I liked that both the hero and heroine liked each other before the conflict started because it made it plausible for what came afterwards.

Dekker is a man of many talents and years. I thought it was really hot when the author had Kierra read something that Dekker wrote. I bet that was a lot of fun. I also appreciated the fact that Ms. Black had the hero advancing and changing with the times. He didn’t completely stick to the old ways and in fact participated in history instead of surviving in the periphery. I like vampire stories where they contribute to society, not solely reaping the benefits of humans while thinking themselves above it all. However, for their safety, I can also understand why certain ancient customs had to be followed and if not, the story wouldn’t have been half as interesting as it was.

Poor Kierra had a difficult time assimilating to her new role in life during the course of this story. The extreme measure that Dekker had to take to prove to her that vampires existed was sort of gross but it sure got the job done. That being said, once she realized that she was more to Dekker than the title he called her, she blossomed and the emotional and sensual heat set the pages ablaze throughout the story. Paranormal erotic romance lovers should find what they are looking for within the pages of Blood Slave because the author provided numerous opportunities for the two to explore the benefits of Kierra being more than his blood slave.

Although the back and forth between the first person POVs seemed a bit disjointed, I thought the dialogue flowed smoothly and I liked the conflict. I also enjoyed Segrun, Dekker’s sister, and thought the author did an awesome job of describing hers and her companions’ entrance at one point in the story. That was super cool.

I sort of wished that both Kierra’s and Dekker’s characters were a bit more developed than they were but the author gave me enough to enjoy the story and I certainly did have a good time reading this book.

Viking Seduction: Blood Slave is a fascinating look into a seductive and highly addicting world of vampires and their relationships with humans. I enjoyed the world building and I think both Nate and Segrun show true potential for strong characters in future books. For those readers who enjoy it like I do, there’s plenty of bite action making this book a hot read. Try it and see.

After his loser boyfriend pushes him too far, Kody Donovan decides that he wants more than just someone to warm his bed at night. When he meets Conley Norton, vampire and leader of the west coast covens, not to mention walking sex dream, Kody couldn’t be happier. Especially when Kody finds his other mate, the equally hot and sexy vampire, Marc Rindge, hours later.

Kody thinks that life couldn’t be more perfect than it is in that moment, despite the danger being the mate of such a powerful man entails. Unfortunately life is rarely perfect, as Kody soon discovers. Marc and Conley have a history together and it's not one that ended happily.

When the two men are faced with having to share the mate or spend eternity alone, they try to be civil. But can Conley overcome his past relationship's mistakes, or will he repeat history with Kody?

In this third installment of the Purrfect Mates Series we meet Kody Donovan, a sweet caring man who only wants what his brothers have already found: his mates. Kody is a man sick of the dating scene and just wants to settle down. Kody soon finds out just because you want something badly enough doesn’t mean it will turn out as you expected.

While out one night a man comes to his rescue and he couldn’t be more pleased to discover this mystery man is his mate. From the time Kody meets Conley, his vampire mate, it’s a roller coaster of emotions. Being mated to a very powerful vampire leader can have its downfalls. The only joy Kody gets is from his other mate, Marc.

Joyee Flynn writes her stories where there is that one character you just instantly love and respect and, in this story, that is Marc. Like Conley, he’s a vampire but that’s where the similarities end. Marc is Kody’s rock and loves and helps him through his heart break over Conley. But what gives this story a twist is that Marc and Conley have their own romantic history and the wounds from that relationship have never healed.

There is definitely a struggle of wills between these three men, from what they want individually to what they need as partners in a relationship. This is a love story where the characters have to work together to get through all their own person drama and differences to find happiness at the end of the day. These three men learn the hard way that actions have consequences, some bad and some good, but with strength and love they can overcome any obstacles.

I personally love vampire and shifter stories, so putting these two genres together was an excellent combination on Ms. Flynn’s part. This story kept me reading until the very end. She writes in a way that keeps you wanting to know what will happen next. My Sexy Tiger is a must read. Pick up a copy. You won’t be disappointed.

Mates are the stuff of legends. But Toby Walker doesn't think things can get much harder than they are. Sent out into the human world by his pack to find help, Toby is shocked to find that the legends might be true when he spots his mate. His only problem is that the sheriff thinks he's just a cute little beagle pup, and he's sick with the mysterious disease that is killing his pack.

Sheriff Randall Markins is shocked when a beagle pup pees on his leg. He's even more astounded when he discovers that the pup is a gorgeous man that says they've mated. Randall has already been through so much in his life, and to discover that Toby has mated them without his permission might be more than he can handle. Can Toby convince Randall otherwise, or is he doomed to live without his mate? And what about his dying pack?

It was love at first sniff. Sheriff Randall Markins was off doing business as usual when a beagle puppy goes and pees on his leg but the pup was just too cute to stay mad at. When the local vet says the dog is sick and the best option was to put him down, Randall disagrees and chooses to take his new little friend home to care for. But to his complete surprise the puppy wasn’t just a pup but a man and was now calling him mate.

Toby Walker was only going to get help for his ailing pack. Instead, he found a hunky sheriff who just happened to be his mate. Even though the illness racked his body, Toby knows one thing is for certain--this man was meant for him and only him. Nothing will stop him from showing the other man they were meant to stay together forever and that it wasn’t just puppy love.

I loved Randall and how he handled the whole situation of finding himself mated to a puppy shifter. Oh, and the peeing scene had me laughing, because I could picture it so vividly in my mind. Toby is the perfect man to be the mate to Randall. While he is a little timid, he is exactly the man that Randall needs.

From the first page of this book I was drawn in and held captive. The opening scene was the best and I love the idea of a puppy shifter. We always hear about the big bad shifters and the spin of a full grown man shifting into a puppy was just great. I would definitely recommend this to you if you love shifter stories. It was the right combination of love and lust.

Amidst the dangers of war torn Afghanistan, an army officer finds himself irresistibly drawn to another soldier.

Canadian Lieutenant Jay Sutherland is a happily married man, or so he thinks! The love of his life is back home, the stress of the war is present and all around him and with it the insecurity and uncertainty of himself and the validity of his life.

Afghanistan holds the key to his very existence right now, and so does Corporal Darren Morrison. His preoccupation with the Corporal confuses him and intrigues him at the same time.

An unauthorized mission and a missing squad, which includes Darren, are reported. Jay, on his way home at the end of his tour, comes back to the warzone and into a perilous rescue mission. What is driving him so recklessly, the missing squad or the missing Corporal?

Does the Corporal reciprocate his feelings, and what is going to happen when he returns to his life in Canada? War changes a man but can it change him for the better and what will be the casualty list of his life?

Iona Blaire tackles a very controversial issue in this well written short story. She brings Jay Sutherland into places we would never imagine and throws a few curve balls in along the way. Gay men serving in combat is as old as the Crusades. It is only in our arrogance that we think that this is new phenomena and a product of a modern society.

With the return to his home, Jay Sutherland needs to confront so many issues, but realizes that his strength is in his relationship with his fellow soldier. Acceptance of his reality is the most difficult thing he will ever need to do but he shows the strength of character to do what he must.

This is an interesting take on a very talked about subject and is very much a worthwhile read.
